Was disappointed on my meal as it was a ribeye steak with just a bit of green salad on it not even a bit of tomato or anything especially for the price of it wouldn't be rushing back

Been a couple of times and it’s in a great setting. Always busy which is a good sign. Staff have always been attentive and friendly and the food has been fantastic.

Went last night as a group of 4 and even though they were extremely busy, the service was very prompt. Such lovely, attentive staff and the food is amazing, so many options, even a vegan menu and the dessert menu is big! Loved the cocktails. Really happy with my experience and will most DEFINITELY be back! Amici, you have some really gorgeous staff. Such nice people and they really do make a restaurant. Sorprendente 🫶🏼

This restaurant provides fantastic Italian food along with a really great atmosphere. The service is amazing, especially Emma, an absolute gem in this restaurant. Kids menus are often an after thought but not here... our boys nearly licked the plates. Will definitely be back!!

Good service and good portion size. Food was very average at best. The amici pasta was flavourless as was the duck special. Much better options out there. The demand for a table definitely wasn't reflected in the food.

Had the best crab ravioli and the apple crumble was amazing highly recommend coming

Went there last with the wife, parents and a 14 week old baby. Lovely restaurant, lovely staff and fantastic food!! Really looking forward to coming back! I had the fillet steak (tagatelia I think) and it was one of the nicest pieces of beef I have had in a very long time. And a wee strawberry sundae to wash it all down. Class!

Ate here last week for the 1st time celebrating my wife's 40th birthday. Reserved a table online asking for a view over the sea which they gave us. 1st class service, amazing food, big menu and friendly staff and loads of parking. Highly recommended, book in advance during busy season.

Delicious High end Dinning Friendly service

So we went here after many recommendations. Initially we were greeted by the front of house staff who were very pleasant. After being sat at our table we browsed the extensive Italian menu which has something for everyone. The waiting staff who attended to us at this point just seemed uninterested, and there was no real customer service other than, order taking and bring plates of food out. We weren’t asked how the meal was by the waiting staff. Not that there was any great issue but the sides which were costly enough were a little lack lustre. The Salt n Chilli Chips were nicely flavoured. But that was all 4 actual chips the rest were the crispy hard bits at the bottom of the chip basket. Portion sizes are plentiful and generous. Desserts are of similar standard. Massive! But tasty and worth it. All in all not the worst but just not what we expected given all the great reviews. Maybe we got them on a bad night all be it not the busiest!

Super busy place need the need to book advisable .. have eaten is this establishment many times and never had a bad meal or anything negative to report.. keep up the great work 👍

Lovely Italian restaurant with a friendly and professional staff. The food was literally delicious, from the starter to the dessert. I am Italian, and I was suspicious at first, but their dishes were so tasty. I really recommend it. Can't wait to eat here again!

It was very pleasant but nothing special

This was simply a wonderful experience for our family. The welcome, service delivery and ambiance were all excellent. The three courses were presented seamlessly and at appropriate intervals. The food...... well...... chicken wings, salt & chilli prawns, the sharing platter, steak, monkfish, gourmet burger and 4 desserts All quite simply excellent. Oh yes and I should mention the setting.... Looking over the Atlantic Ocean..... Class.

between portstewart and Portrush on its own on the left-hand side overlooking the sea maybe it has new owners but years ago I booked it for myself and my children a week in advance (they said you can't come in without being booked they are well booked in advance) when we arrived a man with his family of three a wife and two children behind me he marched on ahead of me and was asked if he had booked he said no and he was shown immediately to a table and I was asked then if I had booked and said yes. He said there is no table you'll have to wait even though I had booked it so they had been given my table an absolute disgrace and discrimination. Obviously, I left and never went back.

This fabulous restaurant was recommended and it did not disappoint. I was only up at the north coast for a few nights and went twice. If there hadn't been heavy snow I'd have gone all 4 days!.. It is absolutely fabulous 👌 we loved it all.

Amici has great food and great service! The restaurant is clean and looks nice tho it isn’t that big inside and on busy days it feels a bit crowded with tables too close to each other. But that isn’t much of a problem, the amazing food and great service is definitely worth the trip!

Top restaurant with stunning views of the water cosy inside aswell, chefs are top notch aswell full team in there like an army if u haven't been before and u love the North Coast its a must visit

Service was very slow. Food was either overcooked or felt like it had been reheated. One of the party ordered a (dry) chicken kebab dish which was heavily under-seasoned and served on a bed of lettuce with a slice of sourdough (a bit of a muddled mix). Another ordered a chicken escalope which was again very dry and served with minimal accompaniment. Starter included a cold platter with heavily undercooked battered octopus. Vegetarian main and starter were both overcooked, (arancini and a seemingly reheated pizza). Overall, overpriced stodgy food with poor service.

Excellent food. I had pizza (Porchetta £16.00 Tomato / Slow Cooked Pulled Pork / Pineapple / Chilli) and really enjoyed it. Kids meals were also excellent as was their ice cream for dessert.

A really nice restaurant with a great selection of Italian food to choose from. The food is all delicious and at a good price and the staff were super friendly and provided great service. There is a reasonably large carpark attached to the restaurant making it easy to get to.

This restaurant is situated along the beautiful coast with ample of parking although you might have to compete with the golfers. I had the seabass with the risotto; the skin was perfectly crispy while the meat was so tender! I couldn’t have ended it any better than their tiramisu which was so scrumptious that I ordered two!

Great restaurant, great staff, Eva, Ana, Nati and Alan are so helpful and as ever the food is brilliant and so is the Guinness

Not living in Northern Ireland but when we are their always went to amici which was always great....its just lost quality...staff lovely but no leader.!!.

Lovely food friendly staff nice atmosphere

My partner loves this place. Nice atmosphere and service. But, personally, I had a pasta dish which I put together myself due to dietary requirements and I didn't find it to be anything special, it was quite oily.

One of the best meals we’ve ever had! Amazing experience, delicious food and great variety on the menu. Service was perfect too, couldn’t fault it. Will definitely be back.

What a gem. A friend recommended Amici torus and thankfully we booked way in advance and even then there was limited space available. Book early!! There is ample parkingvon site. The food was very delicious and we will definitely be back to taste the pizzas with our children next time.

Loved this place, outstanding Sea views while you enjoy the buzz and atmosphere. The food is mouthwatering and the taste doesn't disappoint we had the share plate of 3 steaks with a selection of sides and we were blown away. Each steak was cooked to perfection. Definitely a must go place for anyone visiting the North Coast but warning you have to book well in advance as word is getting out about this hidden gem

Good food and location, waiting staff obviously pressured to turn tables round again as whole meal felt rushed, are you ready etc etc, our daughter ordered a dessert and had barely finished the last mouthful before the bill was thrust in our hand! Go, eat, pay, get out!

Great spot if you don't care how much you pay for non exceptional food!!! Portions and quality not like it used to be - prices also unreasonably/unjustifiable hiked up - not really worth it . Getting a bit like the eateries at Portrush Harbour.

Amici is simply leagues ahead of restaurants in the North coast. The staff are always extremely attentive, friendly and welcoming- nothing is ever too much bother. Very few places can boast of a such exceptional staff and that is definitely one of the many reasons for the success of Amici....as well as of course the food. The menu is simply fantastic: catering for all tastes and preferences with excellent quality dishes, perfectly presented. My husband and I love to share starters of the salt and chilli prawns and the chicken wings. They are fantastic. Possibly the best anywhere. My husband loves the seafood pasta, I love the sea bass or salmon. We usually share the sticky toffee pudding- to die for with Morelli's world famous ice cream. The Spanish house white Sauvignon blanc is superb and served ice cold . Again something you cannot rely on other restaurants to get right. We have been for a couple of meals recently and thought we would do another review as the restaurant is still consistently superb. The Sunday lunch special is amazing value and again hard to beat. Book early to avoid disappointment.

This is truly a 5 start restaurant!! The food came out very quickly and was delicious, there were 6 of us in total and we all loved our dishes! The pork fillet was fantastic!! As was the spaghetti and meatballs!! The restaurant was very nice and well put together! The staff was excellent and were very timely! The desserts were to die for!!!! We loved all of them except for the strawberry pavlov with raspberry coulis, which is unique. The prices are on the higher end but you are paying for good quality. I highly suggest stopping at this restaurant, you will not regret it!

Always enjoy having a meal here. Food is delicious. Staff are friendly and helpful. Cosy warm atmosphere with pleasant surroundings. Definitely recommend, one of my favourite restaurants.

Don't GO.. Prawn Ravioli !! Where had the prawns gone??was told it was minced prawns but who ever seen identical cubed (minced) Prawn!!!

Visited amici today after our hotel recommended it to us. Absolutely beautiful restaurant and surroundings. Food and service was 5*. We sat at the window and enjoyed a few drinks after and relaxingly watched the sea. Couldn't fault amici atall. My husband and I both had steaks and they were 10/10. Keep up the good work guys! 5*

We have been visiting Portstewart for many years but for some reason have never been to Villa restaurant. This time we decided to visit the nice looking Italian restaurant at the other end of the town, on the Portrush side. It is very popular and we booked. A friend, Martin, was actually in celebrating his birthday with his family, and there were many people of all ages which was nice, couples, families, groups. The food was excellent. The service was very good including our waiter being on the ball about food requirements (in this case no milk due to lactose intolerance) and the chef suggested good adaptations. It is upmarket but informal, large but feels relaxed, and expensive but the food and wines were excellent. Portions are good - we ordered extra side dishes as well as starters and had no chance to sample the nice looking desserts. They have a vegan menu of dishes from the main menu and our experience was that the staff understand different dietary requirements and can suggest recommendations.

There's a reason they have been open for so long. The food is fantastic and the service can't be faulted.

We've been visiting Portstewart for many years but had never been to Amici. We enjoyed good service, high quality food and wines, saw our friend Martin was also in with his family celebrating his birthday. Portions generous, food rather rich (in my case the salmon pasta with lemon sauce), many choices, no possibility of fitting in one of the very nice looking desserts.

All the food was excellent. Felt good after the meal, so high quality ingredients. We recommend.

Great food in a lovely setting with a nice atmosphere. Food was served fairly quickly despite being busy. Nice breadth to the menu with some specials.

A lovely setting with reasonable food. Friendly helpful staff. A window table. Pizzas have probably improved since the last visit. Toilets spotless clean. Decent Guinness. And wonderful tap water in sparkling clean glassware.

The complete opposite experience to the one we had the night before. This is a fantastic restaurant. Food was outstanding.

Food and service is very good only problem is getting a table booked as it always very busy.

4 adults and 2 children had meal on Saturday evening. Waitress most helpful. Choices on menu excellent. Food was well presented and two children had lovely food. Left clean plates. Desserts were so tempting that we all participated! Great night.

Beautiful location along the Atlantic. The food was absolutely delicious! Our server Alan was fantastic! We have one in our group who is very specific in her requests/orders which were handled with ease. Thank you for your grace and assistance. Also had a birthday and though it was very quickly mentioned upon entering the restaurant they remembered and had a lovely "candle" for the top of his dessert. Thank you again for doing everything to make this night wonderful! Definitely recommend! You will feel like you are eating in Italy except for the accents! 😆

Wasn’t the greatest experience.The Salt & Chilli Prawns have drastically shrank over the years.They are now tiny.My steak was badly over cooked and had to be sent back so I had to eat alone when it came back as my wife had finished.The young waiter with a beard was excellent and dealt with the problem instantly. Things are usually much better,Sunday nights after a busy weekend is maybe not the ideal time to eat out anywhere.Will still be back.

Friendly, efficient service, probably the best Lasagne I've tasted. Good wine offering we had the Valpolicella served at just the right temperature. Good wide menu, lovely deserts. Reasonably priced. Couldn't really say I felt atmosphere there, it was very busy when we went, recommend booking as you may not get I otherwise.

One of our best meals while on vacation followed by a beautiful walk along the ocean.

Nous avons eu un bon accueil et tous les membres du personnel que nous avons eu furent très aimable. Merci aux cuisines pour avoir légèrement modifié un plat à notre demande. Des pâtes à la pizza en passant par le personnel et la vue sur la mer 5⭐

This was the only night we could get booked in but it was worth the wait. Everything was first class, our party sampled meatballs, prawn linguine, salmon penne, lasagne and pizza - no complaints and everything polished off. The desserts were equally amazing - frangipane tart & Malteser cheesecake. Absolutely no surprise that this restaurant is full every night - make sure you book early.

Wife birthday, 4 adults 2 children, 5pm table. Starter came as ordered, food good. After 1 hour no main course, we had asked for children to be served first. I spoke to passing waiter to enquire about food, adult main course arrived after another 20 minutes . Children’s food arrived 8 minutes later. Serving staff sourly and dour, basically threw food on table. Very disappointing, we liked Amici before this, sad service and no apologies. Not a lot to ask, especially tricky with only table for 2hours, maybe need to sort it .

Excellent food quality with good sized portions. We arrived without reservations but happily sat outside until one became available.

This restaurant is extremely good , having spent 2 weeks in the area and eaten here twice & in a number of the other restaurants too this is without doubt the best . It is consistently good , the menu is great with daily specials to be recommended and the staff attentive . The atmosphere is buzzing and it’s a very popular place so do book well ahead .what more can I say .

Great restaurant if you get a window seat looking out at the sea.

We visited here as a family group of 4 adults and 2 babies for dinner on Sunday evening. We booked well in advance (advised that we would have pram with us on booking form) and rang a few days prior to remind them that we would have a double buggy with us. We were told this wouldn’t be an issue and that they would ensure our table had room for a double buggy. When we arrived this information hadn’t been passed on and we were placed at a cramped table and couldn’t fit the buggy in. When I spoke to what I assume was the manager he was abrupt and said “I only go by what’s on the table plan” and just left us at this table that was clearly unsuitable. Another server who was very nice then came over and apologised and said she had been aware that we were coming with the buggy and moved us to another larger table with more space. This was beside the window and the views were beautiful. If we hadn’t been moved to this table we would have left as the previous table wouldn’t have been pram friendly at all. The food was quite nice although it took 2 hours for our main course to arrive. Generally we found the service to be poor and the staff seemed overworked and as though they didn’t have time. Probably won’t be back

Food was excellent, as was the service. The view is fantastic too. The portions are generous and the food was served promptly and piping hot. All in all a very good experience that was also excellent value for money.

Our first visit to Amici definitely won’t be our last. Very friendly staff and great food all served with a smile. I was impressed by the choices on their menu with I’m sure something for everyone. All our dishes were really tasty from salmon to the pizza specials. The desserts were to die for. I’m sure you could easily share given the generous portions. We would thoroughly recommend a visit.

Excellent Just a little pricey but isn’t everywhere!

Truly a gem! Make a reservation! The food was absolutely excellent!! Good wine and good service too. A great way to celebrate the end of our hiking journey along the causeway coast!

Disappointing meal, came out super quick and was overpriced for what you got. Requested if we could sit at a different table as we where beside the door to the kitchen. Two tables were available but staff informed us we would have to vacate them in an hour! I sent an email to amici on the 10th of July 2023 and I’m yet to get a response!

I usually give 5 stars as I love this place but regrettably have knocked off a star as I feel it has become a bit too expensive. In particular, sides not being included with the main course. Also when I asked for ice cream instead of fresh cream on my dessert, I was charged extra.

Not bad. Great view. Service a bit slow but it's hard to get a table because they are so busy. For the money I'd rather fresh hand made pasta rather than what looked like dried pasta. Pizza was good but not exceptional, but if that's what the market wants, they are making a killing. Would I go back. Yeah, but not often.

Food was well presented and absolutely full of flavour. Lots of choices on the menu for meat eaters, and several vegetarian options too. 4 mains, 2 sides, 4 desserts, 2 cokes, 2 beer and 1 gin £100 less £40 eat out to help out. Updated May 2022 Just the two of us this time. Would like to see a bit more variety for vegetarians. The limited options they did have were all things I'd cook myself at home. I like to be able to try new things when I'm out and about if I can. I had the tortellini and my husband had the sea bass. Both plates were cleared. Again, full of flavour. My pasta could've been doing with cooking for a minute or two more as it was harder than I personally like, but very tasty. Sticky toffee pudding between us for dessert was perfect. Good portion size and we were both stuffed! Two mains two sides and 1 dessert £46. Definitely one of the more expensive restaurants on the North Coast. Do book in advance as it's always busy. And noisy. Enjoyable evening. Update June 2023 Sunday lunchtime. Hubby and MIL ordered roast beef dinner which both said we're delicious. I ordered the tortellini again. Best pasta I've had in a long time! Pavlova was too chewy for MILs liking but the sticky toffee was amazing! One starter, 3 mains, 2 desserts, 2 lemonades and 1 west coast cooler - £71 Staff were friendly and attentive. Busy spot - you will need to book ahead for a table. Thank you! Update August 2023 Seated just before 12pm Sunday lunchtime. Verdure between 3 was enough for us for starter. Tasty. Nice to try something a bit different. I had vedura risotto for my main which I enjoyed. Hubby had linguini amici which he was disappointed with as it was too spicy. We also didn't realise it was tomato based (should've googled the ingredients before ordering lol). MIL had roast beef which she cleared her plate. Sharing starter, 3 mains, 1 west coast cooler and 2 lemonades was £76. Unfortunately the service was slow today. Seated at 12. Starter at 20 past which was fine. Was after 10 past 1 before we got our mains. They were busy but I've a notion they forgot about ours as others we served ahead of us.

They didn't have tables inside and outside only pizza was served. Many free tables but probably reserved. When we left those tables were still empty.

Staff were great, very obliging. Food was great. And, the hazelnut icecream is to die for.

Lovely venue to eat with a golf course view or a sea view. Attentive wait staff, great variety on the menu, wonderful desserts. I had sea bass which was outstanding. Booking is essential. Good parking. Would definitely return.

First visit to Amici went with our children and our grandchildren very impressed food was excellent portion sizes good staff were very good ,wide of food taken and everyone was very happy with what they got best food on the north coast will be back...

I have been in Ireland for 5 days now and this is the best food I have had so far. The restaurant has the cutest scenery and atmosphere. I would recommend to others traveling here.
