Ordered a Texan burger and wife had a chicken wrap. Burger was missing menu listed items and was a little bland/unseasoned, although my wife's chicken wrap was very nice and she enjoyed it. Nice place to try, we just stopped off by chance while passing through Newry. Oh, fyi their "Funky Potatoes" are anything but, just fried potato cubes, not sure why that is menu'd as novel. A bit of garlic but on them would likely elevate the status.

Enjoyed my fish and chips. Wife enjoyed braised beef dish.

Got the wings, nachos and fish and chips. All were lovely would recommend. The nachos especially were very nice and fresh in comparison to others you may find.

Delicious food and great value for money. Have already booked to go back again soon.

Top class. Great food and drink served professionally but with a nice informality. Recommended even for Paul Simon fans.

The food was outstanding, with everything very tasty and done to perfection. It feels very cosy and the staff couldn't be more pleasant. It did seem slightly expensive but not enough to take away a star.

Great atmosphere, brilliant staff and amazing food

I was here yesterday with a friend the portions have got smaller and prices have gone up when I complain to staff they agreed with me and told me that the owner told chef to keep portion small. Its absolutely ridiculous and bad move by the owner I won't be back !!!

Found this hidden gem while out shopping , food was beautiful , seafood chowder was delicious , then we had crispy prawns , fish gougons with pea puree & crispy duck with hoison sauce & pancakes , it was all beautiful , service was great with all dishes explained before hand , really calm & chilled atmosphere , will definitely be back , highly recommended 👏

I had braised brisket of beef with champ and crispy onions. It was absolutely delicious. Very friendly and attentive staff and nice bright table.

Food was really tasty and good quality, we found great option to be low carb and vegeterian

Excellent food and excellent service. We had the large portion of brisket (absolutely delicious and our favorite), the small portion of ribs (good but not great (I thought the sauce was just okay. Though in all fairness my friend liked these second best.), the small portion of duck (delicious. My second favorite) , and the sweet potato fries. We finished off the meal with a Sticky Toffee Pudding with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream (WOW !!!). The server said they recommend two small items per person. We had one large, two small and a side. It was actually too much. I would recommend three smalls or one large and one small for two people. I would highly recommend eating at Art Bar Funkel.

We had dinner here tonight and the food was genuinely fantastic. No idea why we have never been before now but we'll definitely be back very soon. Service was great. Can't recommend highly enough.

We Had lovely pulled pork baps n cubed fries and another noodle dish we all thought food was scrummy and quick service well worth a visit

Took our twin girls for their 5th birthday last Saturday and they haven't stopped mentioning Art Bar Funkel since and next time we go, you'll need to order more funky spuds!!

Fantastic dining experience! Staff was wonderful & helpful and didnt laugh at us Americans trying to figure things out. Food is top notch and worth every cent. We wish we had time to go back. The duck and the goat cheese salad superb. As well as the surf & turf and brisket. Yum

This was a great place. Huge selection of food and drinks. I ate the vegetarian Thai green curry and the patatas bravas. Delicious.

I don't normally go back to the same place over and over as I like to try new places as much as possible, but myself and my better half have been here three times and have enjoyed it everytime. The service has always been top notch, friendly staff, Aoife, the last person to serve us was fantastic and should be praised for being so great. Food wise it is great to be able to try different dishes and still feel full for a good price. We paid £72 for four dishes, two desserts and a bottle of wine. So far my favourite dishes in no particular order are (any desserts 😋) Calamari Brisket Prawns Meatballs The bruschetta platters are also amazing Go try this place, it is fantastic. Only small niggles were, (on a really busy night so understandable) even with the sauce we had on the ribs last time they were a bit bland. Would love more choices of sauces for the wings? Satay chicken was nice, but slightly dry.

Really enjoyed the food and such a great service from the staff

Very interesting, contemporary menu and good quality food served here. The beef brisket in red wine jus was exceptional. Staff were very friendly also. However, 2 members of my group waited 30-45 minutes to be served their dishes and, by the time that they were, everybody else had finished their meals. This definitely dampened the general mood of our visit but would consider returning here in the future in order to explore more of this exciting menu

Accommodated myself and the other half at late-lunch time with no booking, served excelent food at a fair price from friendly staff - we couldn't stop talking about how good the lam shank was all day or the next! I'm gonna bring friends here next time I'm in Newry - love the punny name by the way 😁

Always a favourite with our family but actually hadn't been in since covid but it hasn't changed a bit and didn't disappoint. Food still as good as ever, lovely staff and lovely buzzing atmosphere

Food was absolutely gorgeous, staff were lovely, but there timings were a bit of, order 3 starter sharing dishes, and last 1 satay chicken was the last thing 2 the table, took this long to cook, I think not, but still it was lovely,

A kip. Food was reheated and of a very poor standard. Lies I am not telling as I visited once and never again. It is unfortunate I have to edit my review as I've been called a liar by the owner. Make good food you get a positive review, make bad food you get a negative review. Simples. They make bad food.

Nice interior design with good selection of meals as small/large plates. One of our 6 meals arrived when the others had all finished which cost 1 star.

I absolutely love this restaurant, such a varied menu and different to stuff you get anywhere else. Service is excellent, and fast too. I even bought a bottle of their in-house sauce. I could go back every day in the week and order something different, I can't wait to return. Lunch menu is a little bit different to what I could find online so I've attached it

As an S&G fan for longer than I care to remember, I couldn't resist. What I got was tasty and the place itself looks inviting. Worth the visit.

Fantastic find for fresh food with great range of choice. Sat down and waiter came over and explained the menu so we had a good idea of the tapas style portions, read specials of which I and anted all of them and got us a beer quickly. Had prawns, tasted great, wings, really nice crispy and well cooked. Potatoes bravas and beef brisket. The four portions were perfect for two of us and left very happy. Everything came out bit by bit, and normally this would piss me off, but it was perfect, we both picked at what was there and the rest kept arriving hot and was all really tasty. Place was getting busy as we left, and service looked to be getting stretched as it was early for a rush. Our service and all round experience was fantastic. Great way to spend under £40 and come out with a smiles on ours faces.

Nice food, good service. Floor manager - unlike waitress - wasn’t wearing a mask and he was interacting with every customer - including some who were also wearing no mask. I found that very off putting and risky. It also sends out a poor message regarding taking Covid precautions seriously.

Have been here on numerous occasions with work & friends & always enjoyed it. Booked this evening for family with small kids. We were half hour late & place was packed. Staff were extremely accommodating & food was delicious as always. Thank you to all staff, you excelled yourselves this evening ❤

Nice place for a bite to eat and a beer.. we went with the kids at lunchtime.. kids menu was a bit limited. Great location for shopping in Newry, parking across the street also which is pay and display.

Both were delicious. The meat fell of the bone of the ribs and cane with a lovely bbq sauce. The prawns were big and delish, swimming in a sauce that I was afraid might repeat on me, but 10 hours later..still feeling great. Very crisp and tasty garlic bread/ciabatta with it. My friends had fab chicken satay skewer with noodles...really good and the other had lasagne...also excellent. Overall very nice surroundings, staff were helpful and friendly and would defo recommend this place to everyone. Thanks to the staff and owners who are doing a great job! Reasonably priced too ps toilets were lovely too

Randomly came across this resturant online when looking for places that served vegan food, which is extremely hard to find. Rang to double check and the guy on the phone was lovely, talked me through their list of vegan foods and said adjustments could be made to accommodate us. The three of us ordered the falafel wrap, that came with the tastiest sweet potato fries and a side salad, full of seeds and quinoa and guacamole. Didn't want it to end we were never so impressed with a meal eating out. The guys and girls working there are so friendly and were happy to assist us in any way. Very knowledgeable about the food in resturant. Wasnt made feel like a nuisance or uncomfortable which you can be made feel when asking for vegan food. Also very well priced. Will definitely be back!!
