OMG! The ice cream is just amazing! Different choices of flavours - none of the bog standard ones. It was a very difficult to choose which ones to have! The staff are lovely and very very helpful. Don't get tired with the any amount of tasters you ask of them! Go earlier in the day or you might miss out on the more popular flavours as they can run out! On the last day, we had ice cream for breakfast as we didn't want to miss out on any opportunity of having their ice-cream!

I visited my boyfriend on the IOW for a week in late October and specifically went to this ice cream shop in Ventnor as they had so many unusual flavours on offer. My boyfriend is a type one diabetic, so he couldn't have anything, but he wasn't too worried about me having some, which was very sweet of him. I didn't opt for any unusual flavours or combination of scoops on this occasion, but went for plain and simple mint choc chip, as I love minty things! Very nice ice cream, and the guy who served me was very generous with his scoop portions, which I appreciate. I can't stand paying a lot for ice cream and then receiving so little in terms of how much ice cream you get per scoop! When I visit my boyfriend again in 2024, I would definitely wish to come here during the summer and come back here to try more flavours.

An old-fashioned looking ice cream shop with great character and amazing ice cream! I’ve been a few times on my visits to the island and it’s by far the best ice cream that you’ll find anywhere. The staff are friendly, they offer tasters if you’re unsure which of their many custom-made ice creams that you fancy. Previously I’ve had unique flavours like Turkish delight and cherry Bakewell, and today they had special Halloween offerings. I settled on a double tub of Berry brain (with a jelly brain topper) and pumpkin spice, and both were amazing.

A real gem in amongst some of the tired and formulaic things to do on the Isle of Wight. Great ice-cream and some novel ideas like ice-cream tapas. Still call a Knickerbocker Glory by their name rather than a Sundae which is lovely (we had two and devoured them). By far the best thing is the chap behind the counter who just smiles continuously. He's living the dream. Well worth the visit and still a small queue out of the door in late October.

A real holiday treat. Visited twice within our holiday week. Delicious ice cream and able to taste the flavours before buying. The giant flake was amazing! Staff were friendly and informative. Great value and well worth the money. Having too much smaller freezer at holiday home couldn't take more away.

Made a special stop on our IOW holiday purely to visit this ice cream parlour. It was further away from the seafront and other shops than I expected but worth the find. A chalkboard outside listed a huge range of interesting flavours, which we were able to peruse whilst waiting in line (there was a queue to be served). The only fear was them running out of your choice, when you got to the counter. Scoops of sticky ginger cake and caramel chocolate later we sat in the little park area adjacent and happily munched away!

This ice-cream parlour was recommended to us by the proprietoress of Westbury Lodge in Shanklin, and it undoubtedly does the best homemade ice-cream in Ventnor. One scoop of lemon, and one scoop of kiwi & lime, all in a gluten-free cone - absolutely delicious. 😋😋😋😋

Loved the gelato and the staff members are super nice, but be prepared for long queues. Wait time up to 30 mins!

Unique and scrumptious ice cream created by Tracy and her ever inventive team - a highlight of every visit to the Isle of Wight. This time I had the privilege of being one of the first to taste a brand new flavour: dolcelatte. Even more delicious than my previous favourite, Crave’s stilton. Looking forward to my next visit.

Visited today as a gluten free family, what a delightful experience, very friendly and extremely knowledgeable staff, they took cross contamination very seriously, change of gloves/separate gf scoop and know exactly what ice creams we could/couldn’t have. They actively encouraged samples/tastings and nothing was too much trouble. My 6yr old daughter has only recently started her gf journey and has found adapting hard when she can’t have the things she used to love so todays visit really filled our hearts seeing her so relaxed, happy and excited. Highly recommend Thank you so much

Absolutely stonkingly good, unique ice cream with friendly staff and a great price too. My family and I managed to visit three times during our week away - some of the flavours we tried included key lime pie, raspberry & lime, mango & passion fruit sorbet, coconut, chocca mocha, salted liquorice, dark chocolate, macaron, butter shortbread, sticky ginger cake, Lego….I can’t even remember the rest….in an ice-cream induced coma 😂! £3 for a single which can be split into two flavours (pot or waffle cone) and is very generous in size, and free tasters are not only recommended but encouraged! I’m off to do some exercise….

If you have not tried Crave yet, you are missing out! Amazingly yummy homemade ice cream, what else do you need. They have lots of tasty flavours to choose from, something for everyone. The staff are very welcoming and happy to help you make a decision on what flavour you would like to try. They make suggestions but also will give you testers. Best place to get ice cream on the island.

This place never ever ceases to amaze... the scrumptious flavour concoctions that change virtually daily.... all sold on the basis of once it's gone you may wait a few weeks before that flavour comes back. However if you give them at least a few days / couple of weeks notice they will always try and accommodate a flavour by request. Just keep looking at their Facebook page as it does change daily, you can always ask if they have a tub left over of a flavour not in the display fridge. The tubs are also a great take home as long as you pack with plenty of surrounding cold blocks. DON'T FORGET YOU CAN SAMPLE ANY FLAVOUR FREE OF CHARGE & VERY HYGIENICALLY DONE

Back for our second visit, 7 years apart. Service friendly and welcoming. Samples offered to aid selection. I had the lemon sorbet , pomegranate and macaroons flavour.x the lemon sorbet was nice but not very lemony at all, the pomegranate was fab and the macaroon was my favourite !

First time I've tried Crave ice cream and all I can say is....omg! So so nice and they give you a taster first with some ice creams. Staff are so friendly, we had the cherry donut and blackcurrant and apple cones. The best ice creams around. The que went down quickly too....thanks again Crave

Spotted this place and noticed a decent cue outside, a quick Google on reviews before we stood inline seemed to indicate it’s worth it… IT IS Soooooo worth it!! Had the Affogato with a dairy free scoop, tastebud heaven! 🤤

Whilst waiting for our car to be fixed in Halfords, the staff member wrote down four best secrets on the Isle of Wight, and Crave was on the list, so decided to drive across the Isle to check it out. I have never had whiskey, bourbon and caramel ice cream before and it was amazing. The Turkish delight was amazing too. Worth the visit. Staff are lovely and interesting to chat to.

We were lured here by the good reviews and we were not disappointed. The ice cream was incredible and the service was exceptional - being able to try the different flavours really helped us to choose things that we would otherwise have not chanced!

Best ice cream I've ever tasted, with a range of flavours broader than I thought could ever make a good ice cream. The queue outside the shop suggested that we were not the only ones who lived Craves ice creams!

A true hidden gem of the Isle of wight. I've been coming to the island for 28 years and had never heard of this place until the past month. The selection is amazing and you are welcome to try the flavours before deciding which to go with.

Crave Ice Cream is the best! So delicious. The most amazing selection of really unusual flavours. We go every couple of weeks and always buy a few take home tubs for the freezer. The staff are great. There are free tasters and you never feel rushed though there will probably be a queue in peak season and on sunny days. They do great flavours for special events such as Easter, the Coronation and the best - Halloween. They will even make your favorite flavour for you as a pre-order!

We visited Ventnor for a week and pretty much had a crave ice cream every day. We now have to go home and I am very sad. Their flavours are amazing and change every day. My personal favourite was the New York cheesecake. The staff are also amazing and you can try before you buy.

Made a specific trip to try their ice cream! Brilliant flavours and lots of patience with a fussy 5 year old 😀. Options of try before you buy was really welcome. Served quickly but noticed a queue building due to popularity which is no surprise. Beautiful garden space right opposite the parlour to enjoy your treat 😉 ❤️.

Lovely little shop, nice people! Amazing and very interesting choice of ice cream flavours, especially for a little shop. There was a big queue so that's always a good sign! I enjoyed the sugar free dark chocolate mint flavour which was great as I'm not the biggest ice cream fan. I really enjoyed it! Would love to return. Thanks guys.

Lovely freshly made ice cream every day. So many different flavours. I’m a cup or a cone, single or double. Or try a thick milk shake in the flavour ice cream you fancy. Friendly service, easy to find. Will definitely visit again. Large parking lot across the road, and some street parking nearby.

Lovely little shop, friendly helpful staff to offer taster’s if your not sure what to get, and it’s delicious. It’s a must if your in the area.

Brilliant ice cream in lots of exciting flavours, and lovely staff. They were very patient while we all decided what we wanted and requested several tasters each. They even offered us more tasters to help us decide. The only downside I'd say, was the lack of one or two more standard flavours like chocolate and mint choc chip.

Went to find Crave after hearing good reviews but wow, it was even better than we'd hoped! Ice cream is absolutely delicious, best we've ever had. Our dogs had their own mini ice creams and they were also very enthusiastic! The people were so nice and friendly and we can't wait to return to try more, worth a special trip just for this, thank you!

Nice cute ice cream bar. Went here because of all the reviews. Think I may have been expecting way too much but I do have to say that the prices and flavor options are great. The lady that served me didn't say I could get 2 different scoops for each scoop like how they did with other people, which was sad. But the flakes are very big and tasty.

Great Ice cream on the IOW, had the stilton with grapes with the Apple strudel. Both fantastic plus the fruit and stilton goes well as you have to mix flavours.

So, we thought to ourselves, let's have an ice cream. A quick Google search later and we confidently had an online answer to, "Where are the best ice creams on the Isle of Wight?", so off we went to Crave. And it was good! Having unlimited tasters was a lovely approach and the staff serving actively encouraged you to make sure you'd picked the flavour you really wanted. The adult "single scoop" was two scoops of ice-cream and you could mix and match the flavours. Winner! Whole family were happy, ice cream was tasty, we all had a new flavour and prices were reasonable. Recommended! ⭐⭐⭐

Another local business owner recommended we stop by Crave for dessert and we were not sorry we did! The charming little shop serves such a wide variety of unique flavours, and the staff inside are lovely. There is bound to be a flavour for everyone in there 🍦

Firstly, the ice cream itself. It's good quality and a generous portion, but the main selling point is the flavour choice. Different flavours each day, and each one I've tried so far has been delicious - macaron, espresso and dark chocolate, lemon donut, Turkish delight... There are around 20 flavours on offer at any one time. And the rest of my family have enjoyed their flavours too! Secondly, the service. The staff are friendly, really know their stuff, and are incredibly helpful. Not sure about a flavour? Try it to see. Only want a small ice cream but want to try two flavours? Have a smaller scoop of each for the same price. I visited yesterday evening with my son, and enjoyed it so much we had to return with the rest of the family. And I've no doubt we will be back again this holiday!

If you're on the isle of wight, you must go to Crave for an ice cream. They are an independent business who make the most amazing ice creams daily. The flavours are out of this world. Sorry no pictures, I was to busy eating it! 😂
