Fantastic meal and great value for money. It definitely lived up to the previous reviews I read. Only 4 choices for each course but a good selection nevertheless and all very tasty.

Went on 13 .03 24. The menu was two courses for £30 or three for £38 . We went for the Two courses. Started with dipping bread, then had duck followed by chicken breast. A fine dining experience. Would definitely visit again.

First time visit despite coming to Whitby a lot. Beautiful Valentine's night meal. Lovely food and good service that wad attentive without being intrusive. Shame we were too full after 2 courses to have desert. Smashing place and we will definitely be back.

Lovely little bistro. A nice warm welcome and good service. Food was excellent especially the sea bream. So pleased to see this place open and we will definitely return. Maybe a little tidy up if the exterior might encourage more to visit but inside is clean and cosy

Had an excellent meal here whilst recently visiting Whitby. Restaurant is small & quaint place with friendly staff. We had a starter & main both really nice and generous portions , so much so we shared a pudding as both of us pretty full. Definitely recommend for something a bit more special for an evening meal.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Ditto last year and were disappointed to learn it had closed. However relieved to find it open again just in time for our annual visit to Whitby. Although the food was still very good it was marginally not as good as last year. My chicken dish looked messy and was under seasoned, the portions large for me. Service was still very courteous and perhaps too efficient. Would have liked more time between courses, it all felt a bit rushed. However the food was still very good and we will be back next time in Whitby.

We have been to Ditto a few times now and we were so pleased to hear of the re-opening of the restaurant. Myself and my partner knew straight away we would order the duck after previous visits and the chicken for the main was also beautiful! I cannot fault this restaurant at all. The atmosphere is perfect for couples and the food is the best in town. As a local it is great to have this fine dining option. We will definitely be back as soon as we have our next date night planned. Thank you for a lovely meal :)

Superb! This cosy Bistro is world class, without a doubt one of the best meals I've had in Whitby or in fact many destinations. 2 or 3 courses on offer. Enough variety to suit most palates the menu was seasonal and felt super fresh. I course 2 courses, the Duck confit and the Belly of pork and both exceeded expectations, the other half has the Salt cod croquettes and chicken which he thourily enjoyed, a lovely reasonably priced white rioja finishing it off. The staff were warm and friendly without being intrusive, a credit! Definitely a place for a romantic meal or a cosy meal with friends. We hope to visit again soon.

Returned to Ditto after they re opened as a restaurant again. We always thoroughly enjoyed our previous visits to this restaurant and was apprehensive as to whether the standard would be as good. No worries there - it was excellent. Great 3 course menu at a reasonable price. Best place to eat in Whitby in my view - if your a food lover!

The food was delicious, the flavours, textures and portions were perfect. I had the duck to start (run don't walk), the pork main (WOW) and the apple and treacle tart to finish. My partner and I both had the pork belly which was melt in the mouth good, the combination of flavours from the pumpkin, butternut squash and the sauce were heavenly. The service was exceptional, Olivia and Emily were friendly and checked in on us enough to know we were being looked after without intruding on our meal. It's a small restaurant (approx 7 tables), the atmosphere was the perfect blend of busy but not crowded, with compliments to the chef floating in the air. We'll definitely be booking in advance (you have to) the next time we come to Whitby.

Nice atmosphere and really excellent service combined with tremendous food makes it a clear 5 star review. Dishes very creative and well presented with prices that were reasonable. Best meal by far on our trip to Whitby.

Back open as an evening restaurant and just as good as ever, just a great place to eat delicious food. We had all four starters between us, all superb. The chicken and pork belly mains were also beautifully put together dishes. With complimentary breads on arrival and palate cleanser sadly there wasn't room for pudding!

Such a cosy restaurant with a fine dining feel. We opted for 3 courses to try as much as possible, and each dish was well considered and delicious. The confit duck starter is possibly the tastiest dish I've ever had, I can't wait to go back!

What a lovely coffee shop. It was empty when we arrived, but we decided to risk it and we're very pleased that we did. The lady front of house was very welcoming and helpful. The food was delicious. We had the 2 specials and fries. There are even very nice toilets there. I would highly recommend it.

What a fabulous place! We went in on a recommendation from a client! Beautiful surroundings. The proprietor was SO friendly and easy, we had a lovely conversation about Turkey and motorcycles. We had a coffee and two sausage and bacon ciabattas. Wow!!! The quality of the ingredients were superb! I think the ciabatta is home-made. It’s amazing. The best breakfast I’ve had in a very long time! Extremely well priced so leave a tip! The waitresses were VERY efficient and friendly! Ten out of ten! What a superb little place! Well done Ditto!

This place is that good, I'm actually sat here in the cafe writing this review. Nothing too much trouble. Food and service is excellent.

Such a lovely cafe, would highly recommend!!! The lady working this morning (Monday July 24th) couldn't have been more accommodating! We are so grateful that as a large group with 5 children she was able to get us all seated and all our orders taken swiftly, and she even offered the children some toys to play with. The food was delicious! The facilities were really good too and super clean, couldn't have asked for a better place to have breakfast ready for our trip home. A big thanks to the staff!!

All I can say is go. The food and service was amazing. The ciabatta was soft with a crispy crust, the bacon was was thick and crispy, with a flavourful meaty sausage. Describing it as a sausage and bacon sandwich really didn’t do it justice, homemade ciabatta, local sausage and bacon, toasted & cooked perfectly! Oh yes., the coffee is also good.

Comfortable clean and tasteful decor. Immediate welcome on my arrival. Breakfast is available all day (I love this) and my choice of bacon&sausage sandwich was fresh, hot and enormous. Very fair prices and a great pot of Yorkshire tea in a pot that actually pours....

Extremely good and friendly cafe. The pastrami sandwich superb, as was the homemade scone. And to cap it off DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED in. Fantastic.

We used to visit Ditto when they opened evenings, today was the first time we've been since it changed to a cafe, and we were just as impressed. Really friendly and welcoming and the food was lovely. The owner was also amazing with our little girl. Wish we lived closer! Would definitely recommend.

If I could rate this place more than 5 stars I would! Ditto is tiny but such a welcoming, comfortable place. The staff are amazing and the food is outstanding. Two things: I strongly recommend booking ahead, it’s so small that on a busy evening you are unlikely to get a walk in table, plus it’s so good word gets around 👍 We were there on a Saturday. Second: don’t be deceived by some of these photos, the portions are not small! We started with fresh bread, I had the three courses pictured plus a complimentary sorbet before my main. I was absolutely stuffed by the end and had to take a walk by the harbour. Finally, I don’t know much about wine, but according to my dinner partner if you are a connoisseur the selection here is excellent. Highly, highly recommended 👍👍

At the time of visiting, the bistro was very quiet. The nice lady that served us was very attentive and helpful. The food service was quick and the toastie I had was very nice considering it was only a 3 cheese one. It must have had a small amount of pepper and seasoning, but it was very well made. The olive oil on the salad complemented the dish well too. I would definitely recommend this place for a lunch option and would come back again.
