We stop here every year on the way back from our fishing holiday to Belfast for the ferry. A proper roadside eating house with lovely comforting grub at great prices. The best.

Enfield is a family run restaurant serving a wide variety of Ulster staples; traditional Ulster fry, fish and chips, special dinners served daily. Lots of other meals are available; excellent pizzas, good curry, a great stir fry (chicken of beef), these are only a sample of what is on offer. The food is always well cooked , value for money is excellent, and the staff serve with a smile. Whether you are a local wanting to skip cooking as a treat, or a traveller passing through Edield is great option for food in Fivemiletown.

Was about to give up on a cafe open on a Monday until on way out of town I spotted this place. I will just ordered a latte coffee and a 4 ounce burger with fried onions. The latte was really hot which is unusual compared to other cafes. It was nice. The burger was fine and fresh. Both cost £5.00 which is very reasonable. The place is clean and friendly. Opens until 8 pm Mon to Sat, which is good hours. Owner is an avid Liverpool fan as displayed. I will will go back. Menu is typical of country cafe and has dinner menu to suit farmers from local mart. Highly recommended.

Fantastic take away. Food is very tasty and service is quick even in busy times. Sit-in is available and seems good. Highly recommended.

Called in whilst passing through recently. Simple order of 2 Sausage suppers, 1 battered, 1 plain. A 15 minute wait for our food and we decided to head home, to eat them there. If we had gone to eat them in the car, I would have gone straight back in and complained in person. The sausages, both battered and plain, were skinny, charred black, mangled and pretty rotten to look at. They didn't taste any better than they looked! The chips were nice enough but the portions were miserly and overall it made us wish we'd driven on and gone to our local chippy. Certainly won't be back and couldn't recommend to anyone.....avoid!!

The food served in the Edfield is nothing short of fantastic. The best fish & chips in N. Ireland. The staff are very friendly & brilliant. Unbelievable value. Four fish dinners for only £22. Just go & pay a visit, you will definitely not be disappointed.

Great place, fish and chips cannot be beaten. The fish is especially good, have tried fish many many other places but this always tops them. Really clean, friendly staff. Big portions for kids meals. Chicken goujons are also goo, battered fresh instead of breaded. Curry sauce & gravy also really good. Has a good selection of gluten free options too. They have also started doing pizzas which are great value and really nice. Also baked potatoes & healthier options like wraps available. Such a good place to eat in or take out.

Ordered kids meal and burger and a chicken stuffing box no chicken in the chicken stuffing bos no Mayo on the burger and no salt and vinegar on the kids meal . Kids meal was the only thing that tasted decent rest went in the bin first and last time

We visited the restaurant last year and had an excellent meal. We went back especially this year for a carry out as we had enjoyed it so much. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The fish and chicken were overcooked and dry and the portion of chips was small. They also missed part of our order that we had paid for. Staff are still lovely and made us welcome but in the end its the food that counts.

Excellent hippie style restaurant in fivemiletown, good range of different dishes from chicken to steaks, sandwiches, baguettes and curries, you think of it and they will have it.

The food is always delicious and well presented. Hot dishes are served on a well warmed plate by a polite and efficient staff. The cuisine is unpretentious but always filling and very good value. The restaurant has an excellent hygiene rating.

Stopped off by chance en route home to Belfast. Pleasantly surprised to see the restaurant full. We were lucky to get a table! Ordered two cod and chips which was absolutely delicious, piping hot and plentiful! The WC was spotless and all matters of hygiene were addressed. What a pleasant surprise considering the number of people utilising the facilities. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. All in all a very good experience!

Ordinary food and friendly service at decent prices. Clean and good parking. Portions are generous amd did I mention how friendly and helpful these folks are.

This Restaurant is a hidden "Gem" in fivemiletown!! The price is very reasonable and the staff are always attentive, i normally go for the "surf&turf" option, when we walked in i saw a "fish&chips" meal on a gents plate, in fact a number of people were having that meal. We both chose it and it was beautiful, the Fish was a big portion and the batter crispy and not too heavy, the chips also wete beautiful (although i'd prefer a few more on the plate) the price of £6.90 was very reasonable for a meal, highly recommended venue for a meal 5 stars!!

Going by some previous reviews I was expecting a quality meal with decent side orders, but was not to be. I Wouldn’t recommend.

Visit when passing through 10 years ago, it was all we could think about when we we're heading that direction today. It was every bit as fantastic today as it was 10 years ago.

The service was 1st class staff friendly and the place was buzzing .But the best thing about it was no one was on phones ,everyone talking to each other and a fabulous sign which I think other restaurants and places should take note off .

Great food, friendly staff, couldn't be better.

We were on a long trip and needed somewhere to eat. Grandparents, kids including toodler and parents. Very glad we found this place, menu to suit everyone, good portion size and very helpful staff. I have to say the customer service was the best we have had out in a while. Will definitely be stopping the next time we pass.

Simple tasty takeaway style food. I've never had a bad meal here. The staff are always so friendly. As someone else commented its unfussy. Ive seen farmers in leavinh the wellie boots at the door and I've also seen people dressed to the nines in.

Food here average chips don't be great at times a lot of black ones burgers etc all ok place clean and tidy.

Always go to the Edfield on Good Friday for fish and chips and it is mental.

Stopped for breakfast on our way to the Slieve Russell and were pleasantly surprised by the Edfield. My boyfriend had the large fry and I had the sausage, egg soda with a portion of mushrooms as that’s the perfect fry for a non bacon non potato bread eater like myself. Both meals were lovely and the breakfast menu had great range. Will be back and have told many friends who would be heading that way regularly

Third time trying the takeaway from Edfield. First time was very disappointing but decided to give it another go last week and was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. On that basis, we gave it another go tonight and unfortunately the food was well below par again. The chicken burger was burnt on the bottom side, along with burnt onions. There was a very poorly disguised attempt to hide this by plastering it in mayo...all this succeeded in doing was making the bottom of the roll very soggy and everything fall out of the bottom of it. The chicken burger itself was very greasy and didn't taste good. The chips I got along with the burger were also burnt.

First class service food excellent

This is one of the great diners/takeaways you will find in the British Isles. The large breakfast [all day] is huge and delicious but it is the fish ad chips that I had heard about and was not disappointed. Travelling down from Belfast we stopped in for a takeaway fish and chips. 'Would you like a large or small?' we were asked. Since we were travelling we decided to share a large one and it is probably a good job we did. The portions are huge and the accommodating staff volunteered to halve the order into two as I do not like vinegar and my wife does. It was still a meal of the highest quality and quantity and I doubt we could have finished it all if we had ordered a large fish and chips each. The chips were probably the best I have ever had. The fish was moist and cooked to perfection in a crispy batter. This is also a sit in restaurant reminiscent of a good Mom and Pop diner in America and it was packed with customers. A quick look at others' meals confirmed the suspicion that all the food is good and generous. They are open 10am-9pm daily but closed on Sundays. Service is quick and very friendly. Worth going out of your way for and you will never leave here hungry. In an area with few good eateries this little gem stands out way above anything else near or far. Best value for miles. Excellent!

This restaurant had been recommended by a friend & as we were passing that way we thought we would give it a try. I was in the mood foe fish & chips but ended up with the “Large all day breakfast which included tea & toast”. Staff gave us enough time to peruse the menu before taking our order. Meal was with us within 5-10 minutes of ordering &.that included a Mixed grill. Staff were very polite & courteous and the food was delightful. Will be back again. Superb!

My family and grandparents visit Edfield regularly. Great feed and good variety on the menu. Very quick and friendly service. Would definitely recommend!

Had seen this Restaurant before in passingto and from Belfast but only went in as was with a local friend.

Its a pity its not on the main street we nearly didnt see it. we were on our way home from enniskillen and spotted this cafe.Clean and tidy with quick friendly service. we had fish and chips it was the most tender moist fish with a light batter would highly recommend it

Best chips in the Clogher Valley

Went today was very busy got served straight away wasnt left waiting for ages food came quick portion was good size i ordered chicken strifry was delish and hot was a big size but well worth the money staff was very friendly and welcomming was chuffed with my big cappachino just what i needed surprised by the size but loved every bit cant fault the service the food or the waiting time will defo be back

Me han pasado este pequeño café un millón de veces, pero nunca he dejado antes. Finalmente lo hicimos y nos sorprendió gratamente. El personal era muy acogedor y amable. Mi marido y yo pedimos pescado y patatas fritas y era fresco y delicioso. Un enorme pedazo de pescado que se veía no era el congelador y profunda en la grasa freidora. Este no va a ser nuestro sitio al que ir en excursiones a través Fivemiletown ocasional. Recomiendo encarecidamente. Mucho aparcamiento y váter limpio! ¿qué no?

This is our local takeaway and I have to say it's always excellent fresh and good quality. the portions are huge and it's all freshly cooked. I can recommend the fish and chips.

This restaurant is very good and consistent with there food quality. There is a great variety on the menu with 2 lunch specials as well. Service is quick and the staff friendly with nothing too much trouble.

La comida aquí es recién preparada, deliciosa, buena parte de tamaño y excelente relación calidad-precio. Visitamos aquí cada vez que estamos en Irlanda y se lo recomendaría a cualquiera. Las comidas de niños también son de gran valor.

Sólo tuvimos un excelente almuerzo en Turquía, el Edfield era muy buena. El servicio fue rápido y el personal era muy amable.

Never eaten here but my dad says it's great and he likes good food .We always stop for coffee when we are out and the girls couldn't be more helpful and cheery ☺

Went today for my daughters birthday for lunch with family. Was lovely. Really big portions and not expensive. Staff lovely and friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back. Food worth going for !!

Four of us stopped for lunch on Monday August 7. We had the soup of the day, bacon hamburger, chicken supreme, garlic mushrooms and the very best cheesy chips with bacon.The chicken supreme was excellent and almost too much. Vegetable soup was hot and tasty. My hamburger with bacon was great on a very good bun. We all agreed that the chips were the best. Eat here as it is highly recommended

This place is a "gem" we were passing by. Hungry after a long day on the river erne, went in and we were met by a very friendly young girl, (I didn't get her name but she was blonde, beautiful personality and friendly) excellent customer service. I had the chicken maryland (large) oh boy!! Its huge and very tasty. 10 out of 10 for that, partner had sausage egg and chips. The little man was catered for too. Upon leaving he was given a freddo chocolate bar excellent staff food and service. Love it and will be back

I had a lovely dinner in here with my hubby and two girls,the food is amazing. I had the cod and chips it was lovely really tasty and you should try the curry sauce and the garlic mushrooms. We got a jug of dliuted orange as we don't like the kids having fizzy drinks.there is a wide selection of drinks. My hubby had the bacon burger and chips,he enjoyed it and the girls had a burger too. Service is fast and the girls are friendly and the man came over and asked if everything was OK must be the owner. We will defo be back.

Stopped off here for coffee to break long journey. Saw the ad for 'coffee or tea with cake of the day'. When we sat down we realised this was more of a chippy and the friendly waiter confirmed this. Decided we would stay on for the cuppa but also ordered a plate of chips. Have to say these were the nicest chips I've had in a long time- really crispy and dry. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and I will definitely be back for some fish with those lovely home-made chips.

Really enjoyed fish and chips on the evening of 13 July. Huge cod with fine, crispy batter. Also, great pot of tea. Enjoyed our meal for a reasonable price. Very well looked after, by friendly staff. Would recommend.

While stayin in Fivemiletown we got a take away for tea one night and all 5 adults had fish suppers,they are big portions and delicious, definitely a good choice for anyone.

Great food and lovely staff, very accomodating towards their customers. Food portions are very generous and very good choice on the menu.

If you like you big helpings this is the resturant for you. The size is matched by the quality, the all day breakfast is outstanding! 2-3 good quality Rashers 2 x Sausages 2 x Eggs 2 x Soda bread with Toast Tomato and mushrooms is standard. I had a few chips instead of the toast and baked beans instead of tomatoes and mushrooms no extra charge. Pot of tea is in the price around £6.50. Service is frindly and matchs the helpings.

i stopped a few weeks ago and order chips, peas onions and gravy. I asked for exactly that instead i got a massive tray and charged £4.50 i only wanted a normal one not a large! they automatically presume and feel that that's over selling! it was nice but ended up with way too much food.

Edfield has to be one of the best chippies I've been to, I bought cod and chips and the cod was perfect chips were lovely. Staff are friendly and the service is great. If your passing through Fivemiletown be sure to stop for a feed. Also has a sit in restaurant.

My family and I spent two weeks in Northern Ireland and The Republic of Ireland. I think Edfield's is where we ate our favorite fish and chips. The portions were huge, hot, and delicious! Oh - and the prices! Edfield's was also the cheapest fish and chips we had the entire trip. Very reasonable. Definitely got a good value for the money. Also had some good curry chips with cheese. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place. Very clean and modern.

Although the name says 'Restaurant' maybe 'cafe' would be more appropriate as the whole interior decor, Menu and ambience is more like what we would refer to as a 'chip shop' or 'cafe'. Don't get me wrong though as the food, although basic, was mostly good and the service was good. I had bacon, sausages, eggs and chips with tea, bread and butter and portions were good however the sausages were burned, appeared to be heated up from earlier. As cafes go, it was average, as restaurants goes it was a non-starter. I was there on Wed 5th Sept, this was my second visit this year as it is handy on way back from Enniskillen and you can park outside the door. Not a place you would go out of your way to visit.

The staff are friendly and efficent. The diner is clean and tidy although cold probably because of the very high ceilings.The food is decent and promptly served.Overall, worth a visit if you are passing but dont go out of your way.
