Came for a birthday celebration.We both had 3 courses and every meal was superb.I had the chicken pate, not something I'd normally choose but it was absolutely delicious.The Stornoway salmon, with coconut curry wa done of the best meals I've had eating out. Cooked to perfection.For desert I had chocolate and Bailies mouse. (Can't remember the proper name) which was lovely and light perfect finish to a lovely meal.The staff were lovely and left us to enjoy our food in peace without coming to ask if everything was okay after one mouthful.We will definitely be back.

We visited here last week, what an absolute delight it was, the staff were very attentive and friendly from the minute we arrived. We both ended up having a 3 course lunch the menu was great. Our meal was faultless, I had their pate to start and wow, it was divine, one of the best I have had. I cannot wait to go back and would thoroughly recommend all to visit. Just amazing. The food was stunning - so fresh and so good - but the staff were just the best. Weekend away in Inverness for my 50th birthday and we absolutely could not have chosen better. Fig and goats cheese tart was stunning, steak was epic (they had sold out of the “special” steak but they made my husband the special with the “normal” steak and it was stunning. Thank you so much to the amazing front of house and kitchen staff - we were thrilled

We managed to get a table just before they were fully booked for the evening - the staff were very helpful in making a table available. We had the hake, and salmon for main and shared a bread and butter pudding for dessert. The food was excellent, staff fantastic - what more do you want?

Excellent meal/wine and friendly service from waitress and manager/owner. We were seated upstairs and food was beautifully presented and very tasty.

Visited here last night and was very impressed with the entire experience from start to finish! The service and food were outstanding! Salmon was cooked to perfection and husband had the venison burger which he said was the best burger he’d ever had! Cocktails and wine excellent too! Nice touch with hand sanitizer on each table. Only constructive criticism I can make is that although the cheese board was good, it was limited in quantity of cheese but it still didn’t disappoint. Definitely be back next time we are in Inverness. Please make a visit as you won’t be disappointed!

Skipped breakfast to have lunch here as closed for dinner due to Covid - well worth it.Starter, mains and desert all very well cooked and presented. Each dish had the chef’s own twist to it and so expertly executed.Would certainly recommend visiting. The prices for a 3 course meal were very good.

Just back from the Fig and Thistle it was our first visit to this restaurant and it won’t be the last the staff were so friendly and attentive nothing was to much bother and the food was cooked to perfection a all round great experience

Only stayed one night in Inverness but would have happily eaten here again. Lovely little place, very attentive staff and most of all excellent food, the cheesecake was amazing!!

Todos dijimos que era la mejor comida que habíamos comido en mucho tiempo (¡incluso mucho antes del cierre!) Y definitivamente la mejor comida en estas vacaciones. I’m very enjoy food here it’s been second time now and won’t be last , food was amazing, I love chicken liver parfait here very stunning can’t stop eating ... I also had steak burger very hugeeeee but I can managed, steak was very juicy (that’s how the way I like )and combined with sauce it’s melted in my mouth staff very nice. Highly recommend if you come Inverness.

Holidaying in the Inverness area and enjoyed a superb meal - between us we had four fabulous dishes covering prawns, hake, salmon, haddock and a date and ginger sponge rounded things off. Excellent service, thoroughly recommended, just make sure you book ahead!

Mi pareja y yo acabamos de regresar de una excelente comida en Fig & Thistle y disfrutamos muchísimo de la comida, el servicio y el entorno.El salmón estaba perfectamente preparado, mi pareja disfrutó mucho de su plato (no recuerdo lo que comió jajaja) y la Panna Cotta estaba fuera de este mundo, pero la mejor parte de todo fue el helado de coco. . . Comida brillante.El servicio también fue excelente. El personal es muy amable y nos sentimos muy relajados, bienvenidos y fue muy fácil hablar con el personal.También pescamos Fig & Thistle en un hermoso día soleado y disfrutamos mucho de la mesa al aire libre en la que comimos. Visité Fig & Thistle para almorzar recientemente y no me puedo quejar en absoluto. El servicio siempre ha sido excelente en visitas anteriores y, a pesar de todas las restricciones actuales de Covid, no hay caída en los estándares. This is the 5th time we have eaten in this wonderful restaurant. As a family of 4 with one member GF it’s ideal for us. The quality of the food is outstanding and the service is first class. I can’t fault the Fig and Thistle.

This is a small intimate restaurant with only a handful of tables. It is a focused menu that they have curated very well. We ordered from the specials board and it was amazing. The food was all absolutely delicious. The young man who was serving us did a fantastic job. Everything went great with the service, the food, the wine, the serving times. Impeccable

We stayed in Inverness for two nights. Did a bit of TripAdvisor research before we got there and this place seemed like a good shout. So glad we chose this restaurant as we thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the special beef strips and mushroom risotto and my husband had the lamb. Both good quality ingredients and cooked to perfection.

Visited for lunch on Saturday - the special was Pork Loin it was delicious as were the desserts, I had white chocolate panacotta it was superb. The service was excellent with the friendliest staff, can't wait to visit again.

I visited Fig & Thistle while staying in Inverness for work. I had the Venison and Haggis burger and it was incredible! Definitely one of the best burgers I've ever had. The dessert menu was also great. Food was very reasonably priced! Would recommend.

Absolutely fabulous lunch today - the venison & haggis burger was so tasty and moist. The date, ginger and banana sponge was amazing and so light. This is now definately my favourite place to eat in Inverness. Staff were so nice and helpful. Can't wait to return.

El año pasado reservamos a 9 personas y llegamos con 17, esperando que el excedente se trasladara a otro restaurante. Absolutamente ningún problema, otra cálida bienvenida, un excelente menú, servicio de comida extremadamente rápida y nada demasiado problema. No puedo recomendar este lugar lo suficiente. Y todos pudimos pagar por separado nuestras comidas sin problemas.

Very nice cosy and quaint atmosphere complimented by great food. Extensive wine list too. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

Booked here at the last minute. We were having an awful time trying to get parked in Inverness. Must be one of the most ant-car cities in the UK. We seem to concentrate too much on green issues. Forgetting that this is a rural area and car ownership is essential.

I really can’t fault our meal last night. The service was attentive without been over the top and it was a lovely atmosphere. The food is fresh and flavoursome without a lot of the pretentiousness that other restaurants in town go for. It was good value for money and is now one of my most favourite places to eat in town.

Had a meal here on Friday last, the quality of the food, service and overall experience could not have been better. A real gem of a place, seek it out if you're in Inverness. It certainly won't be my last visit.

We finally tried the Fig and Thistle after seeing it appear on Trip Advisor during many trips to Inverness. We were not disappointed, what a super little place to eat. Attentive staff in a cosy setting but most of all superb food. So glad we came and will be back next time we’re down.

Had a lovely meal at the weekend, but mains was just luke warm temperature on cold plate. What we had was tasty, lamb (not very tender for many hours slow cooked) and seabass, but just a shame it wasn't hotter. Really nice Malbec though. Good friendly service.

When it's served with blue cheese mayonnaise, perfectly cooked chips and fennel cole slaw.

We booked on the day, using Facebook/messenger and felt lucky to get a table anywhere in Inverness.

Enjoyed lunch here with my 3 year old daughter. Kids menu was very good and she really enjoyed it. Full lunch menu was perhaps a little limited but overall good.

Looking for somewhere to eat on a Friday night, happened upon this place.

We found this great little restaurant on trip advisor and were not disappointed with the experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, the food was excellent, great value and reasonably priced. Highly recommend and will be back!

On our visits to Inverness our friend usually takes us to the restaurant. Every time has been brilliant. The owner is lovely, the staff friendly and professional, and the food lovely. This is definitely the place to go for a warm welcome, excellent food and a great atmosphere.

Dersom du befinner deg i dette området anbefales det virkelig å ta turen innom Fig & Thistle. Veldig koselig atmosfære og hyggelig betjening. Restauranten er liten, så det kan være en fordel å bestille bord på forhånd. Spiste en nydelig lammerett - beste jeg har smakt! Fristende dessertmeny. Sentral beliggenhet.

Thanks to everyone at The Fig and Thistle we had a lovely meal last night, we all enjoyed our choices, not our first time eating here but the standard remains high.

We had our first visit to Fig and Thistle yesterday and chose this restaurant based on Trip Advisor reviews. It did not disappoint! The food was delicious, great wine list + service was speedy & friendly. We will definitely be back 😊👏🏻🌟

We have visited Inverness for many years and eaten in various restaurants here. Very attentive staff at the Fig & Thistle, drinks arrived promptly, we had a table for 4 upstairs, nice surrounding, food arrived in good time and was beautiful, prawn starter and Duck main, very well presented. food and wine all reasonably priced compared to other higher end restaurants in Inverness. Would eat here again.

Very nice small restaurant. I’d recommend a reservation since seating is limited. We arrived at approximately 6:00 PM and had no trouble being seated at that time without a reservation, but it does fill up quickly. Our fish dishes were excellent.
