Fantastic evening out, we were a family of four for dinner. First time here for us. Dining in a booth.... great ! Very welcoming upon entry. Service from staff very good, food very good, hot, and prompt. Atmosphere and setting very good and comfortable. Will be visiting again for certain.

Very nice meals on the both nights we dined meals were tasty well flavoured and reasonably priced. Service is a bit pushy if you allow them to be nice pint of Cobra to accompany food.

I had a takeaway, really lovely food, they accommodated my vegan diet with no issues. They were friendly, helpful, the food was delicious and I cannot fault them. I would recommend them, they are not expensive either! Very good indian

Ate here several times whilst on a business trip the food is the best Indian food I’ve ever tasted. Service was very good, if anything too good as a delay between courses is nice the service is instant! Will be back.

Lovely surroundings, decor and more importantly the food. Always queue but that’s because they are good. A victim of their own success, dues to demand they are quick to get you out!!! I did in enjoy the food, but extremely busy with a frantic buzz. Didn’t find it calm or chilled. Constantly having waiters try to remove my plate even though I had not finished and still eating! Trying to rush you to the next stage, to pay or leave! Seems like it’s a table per hour or less if they can. BUT food was good. Staff were polite and attentive, but with the aim to move you through to the end asap. Would go again, but not with the aim to relax, just as a meal and then move on!

Looking for a decent curry before a hospital visit so decided on Ginger. From the moment you enter the service and staff are exceptional. Poppadoms and chutneys were on the table in an instant. Nice touch. Ordered a main of chicken capsila and mushroom rice and I must say it’s the best Indian I’ve had in years. If I’m in Carmarthen for food in the future I’ll definitely be back.

Been here many time in my life and pleased to say I’ve never had a single bad experience always been quick and efficient helpful staff friendly too and place has always been sanitary the foods always been great and if having delivery still been piping hot overall brilliant experiences

If you are visiting the area, you really need to give Ginger a try. You will not be disappointed. We were immediately made welcome by the friendly staff and shown promptly to our table. At the same time, a waiter placed a complimentary chutney tray with two poppadoms. The only thing I found odd was the green coconut? We only had mains, but each dish was absolutely bursting with flavour. I opted for the mustard fish. This was lightly spiced and delicious. This will most probably be our go to date night for a curry.

We had a takeaway from Ginger which was lovely. I had chicken maharaja which was really tasty with mushroom rice and vegetable rice (both of which were very nice). We also had peshwari naan. The meal was very good.

As Indian restaurants go, Carmarthen can be very proud with Ginger. Excellent service, lovely food, super fast delivery. I cannot fault this place.

Absolutely beautiful food. The only thing that let it down was the hovering waiters. Too scared to put my cutlery down incase they swiped my plate!

To be fair, this should be more like a 3.75 out of 5. I think the food is on the verge of really good, just seemed to be lacking a little something. Perhaps it is just my untrained palate, but I expected a tiny bit more flavor and it seemed that the dishes we had were both predominately sweet. Maybe that's the way the locals like it. Service was grand, and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. I'd try again if I were in the area, just to see if other dishes had the same sweet leaning.

Booked a group of sixteen to celebrate a wedding the following day. As we were coming from all over the country, we arrived at different times, not on the dot of 7:30pm, which obviously annoyed the manager. So he & his staff treated us like crap all evening, even though the bill came to almost £400. Really unpleasant attitude, not what you want the night before a wedding. NOT recommended. 👎

Working away in Carmarthen I chose Ginger for convenience in both location and opening hours. I had no expectations but they would have been exceeded if I had. Although dining alone I recieved the best level of service with free poppadoms placed at my table within a minute of sitting down. The food, both starter and main, was delicious...I ordered a chicken Korai...all delivered promptly to my table. The attentiveness of the staff was truly top notch and this will be my first choice for dinner whenever I stay here in the future.

Gingers is first class, all the food has beautiful spices expertly cooked and tastes amazing.. The three of us had a lovely time, the staff were great, everything was (nearly) perfect. Wish I could end this review there... When the bill arrived there was a mistake, this didn't bother me, I chalked it up to human error, and considered it a £20 tip. Check your bill. (this has happened twice with me) I suspect this happens regularly. Shame really as I'd love to make more visits here... (next time we will take away)

Hands down the worst and rudest place on earth. We asked for table for 2 and guy asked if we have had booking which we had not as we were on road trip and visited the place per google suggestion. The guy made a weird face to his junior and told him in hindi "isko piche bitha de" (sit her in the back) and they made us sit in back of the restaurant next to toilet door while the restaurant was almost empty. Upon asking if they had any other table the guy denied and offered us to leave if we wanted to, which we did for the self respect without wasting any time. Not the Indian hospitality that is spoken of in the world. Utter disrespectful. Good job guys !👏

Normally I check reviews on TripAdvisor before visiting a restaurant as the reviews really help however this time I am quite disappointed. Reason - Called up this place 30 mins before and booked tables for 2 families of 4 adults and 2 children and arrived...

Food was nice but service was slow. With the exception of one young waiter, waiters were very impatient and rude. This really ruined the experience.

My daughter went here and enjoyed in a large group. But on the same night a couple of my friends ate here and had terrible service. Seems to be swings and roundabouts 🤷‍♀️ Not eaten there myself due to their over use of coconut in most things. Only the odd takeaway and when your korma is do sweet you want to ask for custard to come with it!😬😂

Best Indian restaurant in town in my opinion. Loved the food and always buy takeaways from here. Only downside, recently have found it's gotten fairly expensive. But other than that, its a solid choice.

Excellent food, can't fault it. One of the waiters was very rude, we were a large lively party and due to a family emergancy were ½ hour late, but rang ahead and was informed this was fine. No warm towels or mints on leaving, which was very unusual.

I like food, fact! This restaurant offered a good experience in such that the service was first class, the food was above reproach and the pricing was very fair considering how good the quality was. If in town please enjoy as much as I did😎

Me and my partner have been here many times, never left hungry or disappointed. The staff are the most polite we have come across and provide great service. Absolutely recommend this place to anyone passing through or near Carmarthen.

First time in Carmarthen and had a very nice meal at Gingers, staff were very friendly, restaurant was very nice inside and food was enjoyed by everyone.

Well we have eaten in this restaurant many times and it has always been five star but we ordered a takeaway for a change and it was very poor the lamb madras was inedible thin sauce and not nice at all

Ginger is a consistently great place to visit. Excellent menu, with a competent well presented, capable team and great ambiance . Always look forward to visiting.

Perfect one of the best Indian Restaurant I have been to for a long time, will be back.

I was told I wasn't allowed to order what I wanted because I wanted a side side and rice! I wanted Bindi Masala. I am not a hig eater and currently ona a diet. I wanted a side dish as this is plenty big enough for me one person and with garlic rice. Apparently its not there policy - i HAD to order a MAIN! I tried to explain that thars too much food for me that I wanted smaller size. I've never been told in any Indian restaurant ever that I can't order a side with a rice. In the end as I was so hungry and couldn't be bothered to leave and search for something else, I was told to order a veg brtriani -'as thats a main dish' asoulute rudeness of the waiter also. Made me feel awful. Like I was some cheap skate. Only because I wanted to eat a small dish, so in the end i had a main. The silly thing is a Bindi Masala and garlic rice would have come to the same price more or less anyway. It wasn't as nice either. I didn't enjoy it. It also lacked deep flavour. Lacked veg too. I had to ask for raw chillies to eat with it. I can make better curry! Sorry but the food often disappoints. Lacks flavours. *tip* make the food the way a authentic Indian chef would 👌🏼 My 2 friends were keeping me company, they weren't eating.. Not hungry. But didn't want me to be alone.. Perhaps this is why the waiter was rude to me/? Still doesn't make it fair. But they still ordered drinks while there. In the end they left out of rudeness from the waiter telling me I couldn't order wanted and they felt judged too..so I ate alone. My friend Hasan used to run that restaurant back in the day it was good service. He would of been ashamed of what I experienced. ! Never tell a costumer they can't order what they wish! So extremely RUDE. Not a pleasant experience.

Visited here for the first time, really friendly and polite staff. Extremely quick service and kept super clean. Turned up just after 6pm and it was so busy, great atmosphere and everyone seemed to be enjoying their food. The meat samosas were lovely and the poppadoms were really delicious with the side dish. I had the tandoori chicken and it was tasty, naan bread also good and washed down with a pint of kingfisher 👍

Unfortunately the Chef spoiled the food which had overshadowed the take away experience. Worst chicken tikka masala I have had from the "Indian" restaurant. Over the years eating out in Indian food outlets, I have never had a taste of grinded coconut and beetroot in chicken masala before ( pics to be seen to believe it). Mushroom masala needs some flavor other than colour. Quick order and timely collection ready. Food prices are as high as what you pay in London and noway meets the basic quality. Good location. I hope the local residents find a better place for their culinary taste fix.

As I say this place is popular and quite crowded, but we weren't overly impressed. The food we ordered was very bland and not as it was described in the menu. If you do go make sure you ask the waiter about the dishes before...

I have always rated Ginger as the best Indian in town, however last night I was extremely disappointed with my take away, food was cold and my curry was way to spicy hot to eat 😞

Ordered over the phone arrived few minutes early had to wait about 15 minutes but they were really busy. Polite and friendly at all times ordered a balti and chilli balti both excellent first one I have had in a long time that wasn't swimming in oil. Loads of chillis in the chilli balti also ordered nan poppadoms pickle tray and mixed kebab starter got loads more poppadoms than ordered but didn't pay so cant complain pickle tray was non existent tho only got yoghurt was expecting mango chutney n onion pickle at least so that was my only complaint. One other thing online menu prices were not up to date and prices have risen by quite alot expected to pay 28 for everything n was 34.

This was my first opportunity to take my partner out after going through chemotherapy and beating cancer and what a disappointment it was. We were seated by the toilets and kitchen. The popadoms and dips were served promptly. However, our food wasn’t served until nearly...

This is the 2nd time I visited Ginger, the 1st time I was impressed. How different our visit last night was. We booked a table for 2. When we arrived we were kept waiting as the restaurant was packed (at 7 o’clock). After about 5 minutes we were taken one of the 2 worst tables in the restaurant, at the back by the kitchen and toilets, along with stacked takeaway boxes. Very noisy. We ordered at about 7.15 and it took 45 minutes to receive our food, after enquiring it arrived 3 minutes later and not very hot, so it had been sitting around for a while (not great with rice dishes and the risk of bacillus cereus poisoning) it turns out the order was marked as a take away. Waiters passed us frequently, looked at the empty table said nothing and carried on. The people at the next table who arrived at 7.30 and took 15 minutes to order got their main course as we were half way through our food. My dishes although not very hot were tasty, but my partners chicken dish with little flavour with bright red food colouring was bland. When we finished I told the waiter we would not be back, the manager came over and we repeated this, he gave us lame excuses, such as lack of staff and many takeaways. My advice is not to go to Ginger, but if you do brave it and get taken to the back of the restaurant by the kitchens walk out!

I just spoke to a man who was incredibly rude taking my order. I have stayed with this indian and has been the only one I used(NOW THEY HAVE LOST A CUSTOMER.!!!!) I am trying to call to cancel my order I've called 40 times and cannot get through. I asked could he put bag of chips on the top of food as else they are wet and said I cant guarantee that. I tried to cancel my order then but he didn't listen!!!!

Had some good Indian in my life but here the food and hospitality is great. Can take a little longer on takeaway but with freshly cooked to order it's worth waiting for.
