Went for Easter Sunday family lunch. Waitress let us taste the chilli before we committed to ordering. Couldn't stop laughing in surprise at the size of the portions! The sharing platter of Nachos was enormous and delicious. We got salsa on the side due to an allergy in the party. Main courses were amazing. The chilli bowl, we approved, was huge and my daughter ended up taking half of it home. On the pricey side but portions were huge. Didn't ask if the did half portions but will when I go back! Lovely service.

Been a regular of visiting Maggies for years. It is easily one of the best restaurants in Aberdeen, serving up some awesome BBQ food and nachos. The portion sizes are fantastic and will leave you filled to the brim. The staff are always really helpful and friendly.

First visit to the new location, just as good as the old one. Fantastic food, fantastic service and the venue itself is great.

I had the rajun cajun and it was delicious, the slaw was in point, the quality and quantity was excellent and overall everything was perfect

I do the odd journey to Aberdeen for work and prior to my first trip, a few people recommended Maggie's Grill to me. I have been maybe 4 times now and it's been incredible every time. The food prices are reasonable. The service has always been efficient and friendly. I never shut about Maggie's when I'm talking about places to eat with colleagues.

Recently tried for the first time. Had Texan chicken which was really good. Son had the stack burger which was piled so high he didn’t know where to start eating it, and the howling wolf chilli came in a bowl bigger than my head! Couldn’t finish the food but asked for boxes to take leftovers home. Only gripe was burgers don’t come with any sides and you have to pay extra for chips. Staff friendly and attentive. Look forward to returning.

Had a really nice meal for a man date with my work bestie, we wanted something memorable and tasty and that's exactly what we got, only thing I didn't get was that the burgers came by themselves and you had to add fries(small gripe, no big deal), the food was incredible and definitely full of soul Hopefully we will have another chance soon to have a bromantic food encounter

Me and my partner came to maggies grill for the first time heavily underwhelmed fried chicken was grainy like it had been sat In Oil, the cornbread frankly just missed the mark dense non crumbly The bbq beans had a good taste and the fries where decent maybe my expectations where too high from all the rave reviews but just overall a little to much hype for a SOULLESS SOUL FOOD SOUTHERN BBQ SPOT service was fast and polite tho so that’s a positive to take away from the experience

Outstanding food as always. Was surprised to find on receipt of bill that cost of a burger does not include any fries (all other mains we ordered did include fries). As regular customers this was a surprise to find an additional £3.95 on our bill - on all previous visits this has never been a thing. After pointing out to our waitress this was removed with no fuss.

Chicken was great, good size meal

Our favourite restaurant! The food is always excellent, and the staff ard really nice. The wine is getting pricy though. A point is deducted because the place was just sooo cold today. I don’t really like having a nice meal with my coat and scarf on. I hope that isn’t the way it’s going to be now!

Last time we couldn’t get a table - now we understand why. Book early and you will willingly submit yourself to major meat-sweats and a food coma that’ll last a couple of days. We had the butchers board with a side of fries between the two of us and couldn’t finish it. Also ordered a rum-cherry coke float which made me feel like I was Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction. The quality of everything was just insane! Will be back but won’t have breakfast or lunch in preparation.

What a place. WOW. Food amazing, staff outstanding and portions are epic. This is a must visit and if you don't go you are missing out.

Amazing food as always, took relatives from Edinburgh for a meal and they absolutely loved it. Great menu choices and huge portions, all served by friendly staff. Can't wait for our next visit.

They don't have any gluten free options , but allow you to take food in, just a shame I'm coeliac .

We had been walking around the city centre and being honest were cold and very hungry on entering i was initially unaware of the name of the restaurant. My son had the cheeseburger my wife and I both plumped for the pulled pork on a bun which came with pickled veg. We had 2 sides of fries with drinks as well. The meal was delicious the pork complimented by a great BBQ sauce and the fries were fabulously crisp and all served hot and in a timely manner by our friendly and efficient waitress. A must visit on our next trip to Aberdeen

The food is amazing, definitely a must have but can we just give a huge shout out to all the staff, they are so lovely and welcoming. Super friendly from the guys on the door to the waiter staff they were all so nice. Honestly the best customer service I’ve had in so long and it really makes a huge impact on the overall experience.

Very tasty food cooked to order, generous portions, we love it there. Couldn’t think where to go at last minute and suddenly remembered how good the food is at Maggies, as usual it did not disappoint!

Visited with some colleagues from work on a Friday night and met warmly at the enterence. Shown through the bustling restaurant to our table. Every table was full at 6pm on a Friday evening so booking is definitely a must. My order of the texas fried chicken arrived in good time considering how busy it was and seeing some of the plates of food leaving the kitchen had built up my appetite. My food was excellent, crispy coated chicken, crunchy fresh coleslaw, flavourful beans and tangy bbq sauce. My colleagues all enjoyed thier meals as well. Vibrantly lit and decorated with a busy atmosphere. I would definitely be keen to return ASAP.

Been wanting to go to Maggie's Grill for quite some time and we were not disappointed. The burger was epic, far too much to eat in one sitting for the average human being, but I managed. The restaurant was busy but despite this the service was fantastic and there was no delays. Well done all and keep up the good work.

Fine restaurant in the city centre! Went here on a recommendation and was not disappointed. Although it was busy, service was good. I had the cajun fish fry, which was delicious. Fresh haddock in a cajun batter.... delightful.... served with chips, coleslaw and sauces. My friend had the rack of ribs which looked great! Thoroughly recommend.

Enjoyed an afternoon here recently, with family. The way we were looked after by the staff was second to none. The vibe in here was nice and chilled but exciting too. The food came in good time allowing plenty time between courses, Adults and Kids loved the food.. We had a mix of Steaks,Burgers and Chicken all very tasty and plentiful. Definitely be back and recommend to all 😋 S.

We had an excellent meal with children and adults, everyone ate everything, especially enjoying the home made sauces. Cajun and fried chicken, soft pulled pork, chilli bowl with tortilla chips, and hot Louisiana chicken. This is Southern American style and generic decor but is NOT a chain. All the staff were enthusiastic and there was a real family atmosphere. Do not be put off thinking it’s a chain.

Delicious food, great service, refreshing drinks. I didn't take a photo of our food because it disappeared from our plates so quickly because it was delicious. Juicy chicken breast with nice, crispy breading and delicious additions. The cheeseburger with fries was amazing. the meat itself was well-done and not dry.

This is one of the best meals I've ate out in a long time! The food was delicious, all the family enjoyed it. Excellent offer or the kids menu too. We are sad we just discovered this place on our last day in Aberdeen, we will certainly be back when we are next down!

Went for a meal yesterday,food was delicious and really warm.Service was brilliant and had a good atmospherezand nice view.

Great location with views in the college. Kind and thoughtful staff. Amazing bbq platter - I’m still stuffed a couple of hours after the dish - we shared the bbq platter with 2 ppl though. Still enough food.

Some of the best BBQ style meat I’ve ever eaten. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and massive portions (I can eat a lot, but couldn’t finish). Shame I’m not in Aberdeen much anymore (though maybe for my waistline it’s best). Highly recommended.

Lovely smell as soon as you approach. I had a massive meat platter, quality was good. Only 2 pieces of advice! Ask for more napkins, and the BBQ sauce on the side. The only reasons for loss of 1 star was due to heavy handed BBQ sauce by the kitchen. The meat is good, but the sauce can overpower the effort put into all the slow cooking!

The beef is perfectly tender and the beer selection is good also.

I had a table booked for lunch for nearly 2 months. It was a birthday lunch for a special friend. The booking was for 12 o'clock. Lunch was fine, food good too but expensive. However at 1.30 pm while eating dessert the server came over to tell us that we had to vacate our table as it was booked again for 1.45 pm. I actually thought this was so inappropriate. Fine if you had informed me when booking that you only give customer's ex amount of time to eat their meal then I could decide myself if this was suitable or if I should go somewhere else. Neither was there a sign anywhere to say eat and talk quick as you are out the door again before 2 hours are over!!! Maggie's Grill that was super rude what you did to us yesterday. This is an absolute gem of a restaurant in the centre of Aberdeen. The food was simply excellent, plentiful and well presented. We will certainly return to Maggie's whenever we can.

Very friendly staff and a good range of drinks. The burger I had was very nice but a bit too large, it was no longer a burger and had to be eaten with a set of knives and forks.

Although a reduced menu, and my favorite pulled pork on a brioche bun was no longer there, the food was excellent.

Older staff very helpful and friendly. Food came out fast and hot, good portion sizes for the price. Lots of flavor in the meat and different sides. As someone from the US I would give it 8/10 on cuisine. Please put a chicken fried steak for us missing home! Thanks for sticking in Aberdeen!

A really solid place for a large BBQ dinner.

This was our first time visiting the new location. While I did miss some of the cozy close atmosphere of the old site it's still a great place to go for fantastic food. Left feeling very well fed and the staff are excellent too.

Un sitio caro, pero increíblemente bueno. Variedad de sandwiches, bocadillos, costillas y otros tipos de carne, hechos al grill con multitud de salsas. Te transporta totalmente a América. Delicioso, y de obligada visita.

Great food and staff, first time at new location and not disappointed. My inly gripe is you can not see a menu anywhere on website and its changed from last time i went to holburn st location. Only drinks menu on website

We went for dinner and haven't had a better experience than this in a long time! I know a bit about Cajun food having spent time in Lafayette and taken back some authentic recipes to use at home and this was excellent and authentic Cajun...

Our second visit and the food is consistently great

Not much atmosphere in this new glass restaurant at Marshall Square. Lacks a bit of character and could just be any other TGI Fridays. That aside though the food is out of this world! Every single dish I tried was incredible and the portion sizes are monstrous. Good pints too. What a menu!

Food is on the pricey side, but the portions and quality more than make up for the increase. Great food all cooked to Perfection. Just make sure you forget to eat the night before.

Being from south Louisiana and in town, my fiends and I decided to try the Marshall location. Service was quick and friendly. Food portions were big and taste was very good. Will be going back for more.

I had been to Maggie’s loads back in the day before the change of location and it was always 5/5 - couldn’t fault it. It’s still a perfectly fine restaurant and there was nothing wrong with it per se, but I’ve got a few niggles....

Tried this spot on a visit to Aberdeen. Our server was lovely but didn’t catch her name. Food is to die for. Very authentically American.

Great food. Selection for vegetarians could be improved but mac and cheese was a great choice.

We had a fantastic romantic date night here. Great selection of food and a fair price. We both love Americana inspired food and the bbq platter is definitely enough to share for 2 people. Food was top notch and very helpful staff.

I expected nothing else but great food from this place. Knew the one of the owners from many years back and he knows how to put on a splendid menu. Highly recommended. We shared shared the BBQ platter with a couple of sides. Very tasty and the side of Mac n cheese was to die for. Thumbs up to you Seb 🙂

I came here Sunday around 19:30. The food was awesome - I would recommend the chilli. The portion size is enormous. The price was £17.95 which is steep but probably reflects the quantity and quality. The service is good. I will definitely come back again...

We had a lovely table overlooking the fountain and Marischal College and it was gorgeous. Maggies really is in a wonderful location. We had a range of things to eat including burgers, steak and desserts and all the food was of a very high quality....

Regular to Holborn first time in this new location. Truly awful, it’s become a fast food burger joint. Noisy with no atmosphere. Waited 25 minutes for the food which was at best average. Had calamari which had no taste. Could have been eating paper. Corn...

Staff were lovely and helpful. Prices good, food was amazing. They were very accommodating and gave us a nice table with our 2 year old son

An excellent meal, huge portion of supposed small nachos with added chilli , accompanied with refreshing beer. Staff were all very helpful & polite with a warm smile. Great value for money. Disabled toilets were immaculate -- which unfortunately cannot be said for many places I've been to recently. Would definitely recommend & intend going there again.

Had a great 1st experience at Maggies Grill yesterday. I had a rodeo burger and my friend had the steak. Both were amazing, such good quality food! Steak was cooked to perfection as was the burger, good portion sizes and lovely, attentive staff!

Great value, good portion sizes and fast service. After moving to a bigger venue they have maintained and even upped their reputation. Great place.

This is our second visit and it just gets better, this tme we both had the chicken platter and what a size of portion you get all for £18 each, the staff are also very friendly. We will be back.
