Mezzet Dar in Elmbridge

We had a delicious meal there on Friday evening, all dishes were tasty and the portions very generous, so excellent value. Nice cosy atmosphere too and a bit different to other options in the area. Has been a few years since our last visit but will definitely go back.

Superb food. Great staff. Didn’t have a reservation but managed to get in and so glad we did. Food was delicious. Not your normal tapas - this is elevated tapas!

Wonderful restaurant. Very nice and cozy. The food was exquisite and the presentation was unbeatable!!! I am Spanish and most of the dishes like the bravas potatoes, the garlic prawns are much tastier than in Spain. I would repeat without hesitation!!!

I went to this lovely place the food was very nice the staff was very friendly me and my husband we love it. Different taste in each tapas! Is awesome! Our favourite dessert tomato cheesecake.

So so so disappointing! We're locals and haven't been here for a while but we were very disappointed with the menu tonight. No wonder the place is almost empty. Patasas bravas - no potato or tomato in sight! The most basic menu option and so cheap to produce but none of the essential ingredients so why serve what you served?! Poor show. Padron Peppers! So few they worked out to be £1 each! Prince of Wales and Mute Swan are much better, cheaper and more of them. Menu massively reduced from what it used to be and they haven't kept the good items. And SOOOOO over priced. Such a shame that it took a turn for the worse and will probably end up closing down if it continues with the ready meals out of a box. We can make that at home. Make it fresh! You're a restaurant! Bring back what you used to be! Staff were wonderful!

It's a tapas place but they did not have any bread! Only pita bread !! Very limited menu. Spanish Tortilla was a fried mashed potato. Decent Lebanese wine. Not impressed.

Hyped up over priced. Well presented in long oval dishes to appear bigger then what it actually was. Mainly bread with whatever you ordered looking lovely with salad and strips of cucumber and dips. Just a cover up for what you were really getting.

Great cocktails, good food & friendly attentive service ... but empty so not a great atmosphere.

I have been visiting Mezzet Dar Tapas for 2 years now and I still love the food and the wine like in my very first time.What makes me come back is the friendly service of this place, this time provided by Ali, who simply made me feel home with sharing his background story and having the same taste in food. We came here and we loved every bit of it. Food is a mixture of Galician and Lebanese food and the mix works well. Service was exceptional and we were served by Ali, he looked after us in such a magnificent way. Food was delicious, top quality. Definitely will come back and definitely recommend this top top place.

We dined here last weekend as a group of 8 to celebrate a 50th birthday. We were seated in the little room which gives a special feeling of privacy. Although two ladies were also sat there, they enjoyed the atmosphere along side us and even bought a dessert for the birthday boy! The service from Valentino and Ariel was brilliant, they made great cocktails, bought our tapas style food out at a steady pace and looked after our needs very well. The food here is excellent, in particular we enjoyed the lamb topped houmos and calamari, the halloumi also deserves a mention as does the blackened cod. We were too full for dessert but the birthday thoroughly enjoyed his treat from the neighbouring table. It wasn't our first visit, we've been a couple of times before, it has never disappointed.

Cosy, intimate gem of a find in Hampton Court, with lovely food, and a great atmosphere. The staff at Dar are exceptional. Both professional and hospitable, they are always welcoming and do everything they can to make it an inviting experience. A must visit!

Delicious food, very tasty dishes. Excellent service. They kindly squeezed us in despite turning up after 9pm with no booking.

Went to Mezzet Dar for dinner. The food was amazing had tapas and I was impressed with the sizes you get more than enough for the price you pay, the fish was fresh and delicious as well as the prawns which were my favourite the lamb was also very good. W e tried several plates/tapas and all were well presented and taste divine. The staff was extremely helpful and kind especially Jonás the Manager who helped and advise with the dishes choices, he is always smiling and very pleasant will definitely come back and 100% recommend it !

We just had a meal at Dar and was disappointed. Having eaten here before privately and for a large party it seemed strange that things were very different. The starter of prawns was lovely but my chicken was very dry and overcooked so could not eat much waiter did not seem interested! The lamb my husband ordered was very undercooked. The waiter did not ask how it was to be cooked it was all red not pink! Sadly was totally put off when previously recommended to all friends,

Having read the other reviews for this restaurant, I was expecting much better food / service. Croquettes were dry, pardon peppers were still raw in places, and the cooking of main courses was basic with small portions. Wine was opened poorly, leaving the foil very rough, demonstrating a lack of care. would have expected a change of plates between courses, a wipe of table to clean table after eating. However, the place was busy, with repeat custom, so perhaps we were unlucky with our menu choices and the staff were distracted.

We had a fabulous evening here. The food and service were excellent. The manager Jonas was charming, entertaining and perfectly attentive, giving us some super recommendations for the most delicious dishes. We will be back very soon.

Delicious creative Lebanese/Spanish fusion tapas, great atmosphere, brilliant service as always from Silvano and Valentina. We had a wonderful evening. Highly recommended.

We ate here on early Friday evening and chose 5 tapas dishes. They were all delicious and beautifully presented. The house white Lebonese wine was good too. We had enough room to share Baklava and fruit to finish an enjoyable meal. The staff are friendly and attentive. What more could you want. If you want a special treat this is the place to come!

Compact Tapas bar with decor that just gives you enough of a hint that you could be in the Mediterranean somewhere. Good choice Tapas on the menu with the Lamb in particular being the star of the show for me. The Patatas Bravas was an interesting interpretation of a Spanish classic, never seen it done like that before.

Can’t believe I haven’t been here before. Best dinner experience I’ve had in many years. Amazing food and very friendly staff.

I am a regular customer. It has an amazing warm atmosphere where we enjoy the very delicious Spanish Tapas along with fine wine. But the most particular thing about this restaurant is their welcoming staff, always smiling and ready for our orders.it is definitely an exceptional restaurant that we advise everyone to visit it.

We used to love eating here but won’t be going back any time soon after our dinner experience on 16 October. The menu has been reduced by half, and the size of the dishes by about 25%. Not the prices though. I wouldn’t mind that so much if the quality and creativity were still the same, but sadly that’s not the case. We ordered 12 of the 14 dishes on the menu, many of which were tiny and so simple you can easily throw them together yourself in 5 minutes.

We had another sensational meal from Meze (this time a takeaway due to Covid-19 restrictions).Meze really is a local institution. During the lockdown, Fadi and the team were giving away free bread several times a week, which was a really lovely thing to do.This is a local restaurant that really deserves to be supported. Their food alone will ensure that happens.

Mezzet dar has excellent tapas with generous portions compared to some small plate places, and all for a very reasonable price. The tortilla was a highlight, perfectly cooked to remain slightly raw in the middle. The baklava were the best I’ve ever had, not too sweet or wet from honey, but perfectly buttery and crisp pastry. All of the plates ordered were delicious and presented beautifully. The service was another stand out, really warm and accommodating - couldn’t have asked for much better.

We had a great lunch here. Menu varied enough Spanish / Lebanese tapas so that you can share lots of plates but also have single courses for yourself. Great service from both members of staff. Can you please open one in Surbiton? 10 busy pubs but no decent restaurants. Although it's a nice walk down the river to yours. Thanks for a great lunch!

Antique hunting in East Molesey area. Passed Mezzet Dar, looked nice and welcoming. Very cosy (probably no more than 40 covers, a little semi-private dining room for 8-10 looked lovely). I had 'For the wine,' cured meats and cheese on toasted bread, excellent, and certainly did go well with a glass of Lebanese Prieure Chateau Ksara. Salmon and Enoki on toast similarly very good. Lovely staff and great service.

Very tasty tapas, especially liked the courgette flowers. I didn't try it but my friend had the 'Silence of the Lamb' which he said was amazing and it looked great plus the couple on the table next to us said it was their favourite dish (when it was brought to our table!). Forgot to take photos which is a shame as the presentation was very appealing.

What a cosy and fantastic find this was! We ate such delicious food and the staff were excellent, attentive, knowledgeable and so welcoming! We had our little 2 year old with us and they could not have been more welcoming and thoughtful. Delicious kids menu and outstanding tapas and wine list! A must visit if you are in the Hampton Court area!

Booked at Mezzet Dar not realising there are two different restaurants, so arrived at Mezzet and were redirected two doors away to Dar. Seriously this is one of the nicest and different Mezze meals we’ve had. It is Lebanese with a Spanish twist which was amazing. Between five of us we ordered 12 dishes. 10 would have been plenty but we didn’t regret the opportunity of tasting everything. Our favourites : halloumi with pesto and sun dried tomatoes, hummus with sundried tomatoes , squid and rice, pork cheek, Patatas Bravas. And then the baklava gift with the bill was to die for. Will definitely be back. Just wish it was closer to home so we could more easily come more often.

Gorgeous place, went for my mums birthday. Service was amazing food was incredible! highly recommend along with their sister restaurant Mezzet Lebanese restaurant.

I am not usually a fan of tapas restaurants as I generally find you end up spending too much and go away still hungry. However, Dar give very generous portions, that are great for either sharing or having yourself. Our group of 4 chose 4 lights portions to share initially, then a single dish (from the second page) to have individually afterwards. All of our different choices were delicious and we finished off with the baklava and fruit plates and a ‘tomato’ with coffees. The cost was very acceptable and we were all very satisfied. Very happy to recommend.

Well what can I say as all previous reviews I agree. We took a chance and walked it but no tables available until 21.00 so tried elsewhere but had no luck we then popped back to ask for a table after 21.00 and to our delight a cancellation had been made. Amazing service amazing food and we had a bottle of Prosecco priced at £29.50 which was fully acceptable and we also had a beer and glass of wine then starters and two main courses and it was less that £70 !!!!!!

Both myself and my husband were very pleased with the service and quality of food. I love the decor and the fact it’s such a cozy little restaurant. Each dish we tried was so tasty we decided after the starters alone we are coming back for another visit. Good restaurants are getting harder to find so we were extremely happy that we chose this one on our date night away from the kids :) highly recommend.

Cannot fault either the food or the service. Both demonstrated an attention to detail you’d expect from a high class restaurant but with a comfortable dnd informal atmosphere.

We left Mezzet Dar already planning our next visit. Excellent atmosphere, excellent service, but the food was absolutely out of this world. Every dish was amazing. The black cod tempura was food heaven - It broke my heart when my sis asked for some! Also strongly recommend the back street hoummus and courgette flowers. They make an excellent cosmopolitan too (and I am a fussy customer when it comes to a cosmo)

We were in Hampton court for a family visit at the Palace...but the lunch at the Mezzet Bar was the thing that made the trip from London worth of doing.

Had supper here on a summer Tuesday. It was well patronised but not full. We liked our table in the 'library', service was good. As the food was described as tapas we expected all our choices to arrive at the same time, however they came sequentially, which turned out to be a good thing as the portions of most of them were generous. Particular favourites were the blackened cod - melting flakes of fish encased in a light batter coloured with squid ink, lamb which came with tender green beans, and the toast with aubergine puree. Items on the menu change regularly, so worth a return visit when we next are in the area.

Delicious dinner for four. Kids had the burgers which were large servings and adults had a tasty chicken broth Israeli cous cous and cinnamon chef’s special, yummy smoked aubergine and tabouleh starter and a lamb dish.

We stopped for lunch after viewing Hampton Court Palace. The food was Lebanese and delicious! Service was friendly and helpful. We shared a Lebanese beer, which was refreshing. Would go back again.

Visiting London this weekend we popped to Mezzet Dar restaraunt to have a supper. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals: Spanish omelette , black rice with squid, patatas bravas and pork cheeks with mash. My ordered dessert was amazing, called ‘Tomato’, cherry cheesecake desert. What’s a lovely place to eat. P.S. I forgot to say that the restaurant staff was attentive and friendly.

After three visits, this has quickly become my favourite restaurant. Each dish is unique and expertly flavoured. I can’t compare it to anywhere else, as its mixture of Spanish tapas and Lebanese food results in some incredible dishes, unlike anything else I’ve tried. If you’re a local, then I can’t recommend it enough; if not, it’s worth travelling for!

Great coffee, friendly staff.. wish I could have stayed all day. The breakfasts looked amazing but sadly was on the clock, so no time to eat, hopefully next time I am in the area

We had superb tapas here after visiting the Hampton Court Flower Festival. There was plenty of choice and all the dishes were beautifully presented, well cooked and a generous size. The staff were friendly and the service very good. All in all an excellent evening out. Thoroughly recommend.

We had a great meal here before we went to the Hampton Court music festival, it was tapas with a twist in a good way. Very inventive and truly wonderful food. Wine list is also worth a look, very good choices with Spanish, Lebanese and european wines, top class. Highly recommend and you normally need to book it in advance.

Mezzet Dar is unique and worth a visit. We really enjoyed being able to taste lots of different dishes, some we loved, some we didn’t...

We absolutely loved the food! Inspired, flavourful and creative. We tried the hummus with chives and pulled lamb which was moorish and patatas bravas were amazing (I would call them deconstructed- see photo ) . The hallumi was delicious as were the courgette flowers. We shared a light and fluffy almond cake afterwards. The staff are very attentive but not in your face . We will be back soon!!

We ordered 8 dishes off the menu and not one was particularly good. Run down below of some of them. Should keep it simpler and use fresher ingredients.

Wonderful setting booked 2 weeks in advance (a must at the weekend). Great selection of tapas & reasonable priced, really good friendly service. Will definitely be returning.

Visited here on the Friday 31st May, for our son's birthday dinner. All of the staff were very friendly, smiley and helpful. Beautifully decorated, with a lovely ambiance.

Love it here, such a cute spot. The decor is brilliant, from the library room, to the cool insta-friendly tiling, to the giant strawberries on the ceiling. The menu is nothing like your usual tapas range, lots of different items including Fadi's Favourite Dip which is off the chart!

I love a restaurant where the menu includes dishes that would be hard for a home cook to execute. This charming tapas restaurant serves some unusual combinations - baby courgette with flower still attached battered and stuffed with feta, a generous portion of cod in black batter, etc etc. Can’t wait to return to try some of the other dishes.

very nice place, a holiday feel. Food was tasty and came out in good timing - Scallops were not worth it for the price, they were tiny and you only got 3 on the dish? didn't make sense to us. Also the waitress dropped one of the potato tapas on to the actual table which all fell apart which she apologized for but she didn't clean it up or replace it...wouldn't expect that at such a nice pricey restaurant. Wouldn't recommend but it was a nice place
