Drive past here daily and finally took the family for dinner. The food was fantastic the staff were lovely. What a great family run bussines. We will be back. Thanks jay 👍

We took my daughter here for a surprise 21st birthday dinner and was treated to a first class service and had an absolute wonderful time, the food was extremely tasty and the portions were very filling. I cannot thank the waiters enough for the surprise dessert for my daughter. Wonderful restaurant, wonderful service. Will definitely go and eat there again.

We enjoyed food here. Portions are not big but tasty. We were warm welcomed but had a feeling not enough attention later, just feeling under pressure to order quickly. Only Mr Manu gave us more attention. Apart of that food was really nice, jalfrezi spicy like it should be.

The service here is great but the food is why we ate there. Shatkora chicken with lime taste best for me in Thurrock by a mile. Prices reasonable but food just tastes so good. Easy parking and really great staff. No contest for me we are Thurrock residents and eat once a month here as our family treat.

Lovely restaurant great food, we go as a group after work about 9 of us on a Sunday. Always a warm welcome, Shown to our table and drinks order taken. Food arrives in a timely fashion always hot and tasty. The manager and staff are professional and friendly.

Lovely food, well cooked and quick out of the kitchen even with a full restaurant. There were a couple of sides that came different to those we ordered but no issue - we still enjoyed them and didn't raise the issue to the staff Would...

Very good service and food was great and a varied menu. Lamb shank was different and the lamb was soft with real flavour.

Had a lovely meal again this evening and once again as well as the food being unbelievably tasty and filling, the staff were fantastic. In these strange times it must be difficult to remain so committed and focussed in work environments but these guys remain professional, friendly, and deliver to their customers with so much pride. A fabulous service with a smile, even behind a mask. They are clean and are certainly aware of current safety measures, keeping to social distances, wearing ppe and keeping us safe throughout. Cannot fault. Thank you New Dehli.

Food and service excellant as always. Love thier personal touch these guys give looking after all customers in the New Delhi way. Even in full ppe they nothing is any trouble for them. Even ordering off the menu when they are busy.

First time visit. Food was good although short of chicken in the Butter chicken. Staff including manager all wore masks but only one waiter wore his properly. Had to tell our waiter to wear his mask properly when attending our table. Restaurant has no social distancing between tables what so ever. If your taking Covid 19 seriously then this restaurant is not for you. I won’t be returning.

Meat portions were very disappointing and sparse. We always used to come regularly and as this was our first time in ages, we were surprised how much it’s changed. Such a shame.

Our 1st visit for sometime...for obvious reasons. Early Saturday evening table booked. As always, a nice welcome at the door. Staff in masks and gloves. Drink & food orders taken quickly. I had the tandoori mixed grill which comes with onions & peppers on a sizzling platter + side salad. Very nice & filling. My wife had her normal chicken korma, which she loves. Nan, sides, couple of Cobra's...bill came to just over £40 which is great ! As normal, still got a complimentary drink with the bill...always a nice touch. Will be back !

Literally the best Indian I have ever had, great service and even better food. The curry was incredible and the onion bhaji was just awesome. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great curry

We took advantage of the "Eat out to help out" initiative and booked a table at 8.30pm on Wednesday. We have been ordering our take aways and using the delivery service for at least 15 years, but had never eaten in the restaurant. We've missed out, for sure. The restaurant is very comfortable with bench seating or comfy padded chairs. The table linen was beautiful quality and impeccably clean. The dining room itself is tasteful and lit beautifully. So far so good. We were quickly seated, served drinks and our order taken. Poppadums with all the trimming - lovely. Mixed kebab starter was gorgeous. Don't judge me but I love a chicken tikka marsala ... and it was amazing. My husbands dinner was just as lovely. I was so full. A nice hot towel at the end. A complimentary baileys each and a choc with the bill left us vowing to come back and we will, soon.

Great food. Great atmosphere. Great price. Couldn’t fault it. The service was amazing. My daughter said it was the best Indian she has had. She is a fussy eater.

I visited with my two children and without out my husband. I tried to order my food but the waiters rushed passed it took over 45 minutes just to order. The waiter rushed taking our order and one dish was missing when our order came. They provided missing dish after 15 minutes and made out it was my fault. Other families came in after us had there food before us and left. Maybe because my husband wasn't with me I got treated this way. The food was horrible tadka daal had too much lemon and lamb saag was excessively salty and inappropriately spiced. The chicken madras worse I have ever had tasteless. I went because good reviews and curry awards. My daughter was shocked this place had awards being the worst curries we have had. I feel that it was too much trouble for them to serve us. I will never visit here again and do not recommend this place .

We had our first meal out here on 4 July. At first I was apprehensive about how the restaurant would abide by social distancing and health and safety regulations. The restaurant staff were amazing at it!!!! I felt comfortable as soon as I came in the door. Staff in sheilds, gloves, masks and aprons. The tables were separated from other customers. The food was absolutely beautiful. This was our first visit but certainly not out last. Thank you all for the fabulous food and hospitality. It felt great not to cook our wash up. I would recommend this restaurant. The saag paneer was delicious.

The restaurant was nice service good but once we sat down and ordered we quickly was aware that there was a sound like a fire alarm that would go off every 1-2 minutes, this was awful so loud and piercing. After a couple of times I thought I couldn’t take any more and asked the staff what it was. They said it was every time they received a on line order !!! It was terrible and would NEVER eat there again ever even if it was free

Had a take away tonight. First proper Indian in a while was absolutely fabulous. Can still taste it now. Thank you 🙏 so much.

I spent £35 on a takeaway. And got given cold and bland chicken tikka! The rice was was cold too and the naan bread was burnt! I rang up the restaurant and spoken to the manager there “shumon” all he said was sorry it’s so busy here I can’t send out a new one as it will take over a hour to come you can come collect only. Shocking service very bad telephone manner. It’s my local takeaway service also I dine in. This is the second time it has happened think I need to pick a new Indian!Attached a photo below

Went for a curry here on Saturday night. Party of 10. Excellent food from a relatively simple menu (although a few new additions). Excellent service as ever. Place was very busy. They were coping fine but it was not it’s usual top notch service. But if you go at 7.30pm on a Saturday units always going to be busy. Of all the choice on this street, probably the best at the moment.

We came here with friends and I have to say it was very good indeed. The service food and atmosphere was all very good. My chicken shaslick was very tasty but I would have liked it to come up sizzling as I have expected in other restaurants will definitely return though

Nine of us visited here last night for our Mums Birthday. We had a lovely evening. The food was plentiful, tasty and hot. The staff were friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend this place. Ive been eating here over 18years and ive never had a bad experience from eating in or a takeaway. Well done keep up the good work.

Ordered a takeaway and it arrived cold! I can honestly say this was the worst Indian meal I have ever ordered. There were no chutney etc. with poppadoms. My tandoori king prawns were the smallest I have ever seen. I ordered this as it was No. 1 on tripadvisor. Never again

You will not get a better curry, ambience or service than in the New Delhi. Never been disappointed and it’s always my first port of call when visiting family here. Can’t wait to come again!

I have been coming to this resturant on and off for years.

We arrived at this restaurant at 22.10 we hadn't booked there was no need to as virtually only 6 other people in there dining, when we walked in we were greeted with 'you will have to be quick as we close in an hour' there was no hello or warmth, we were quickly shown to a table and the menu was pushed under our noses with no customer service. I won't babble on too much, the food arrived in 5 mins, hovering around us to take the plates when I was still eating, Bill placed in front of me while I was still eating, food OK but will not be visiting again rushed out the door, went up the road to the raj for a drink wonderful service.

A very warm restaurant as we were welcomed at the door by Shumon. We were seated very quickly and were presented with the menu. The service was of high quality which prompted the food coming out quickly. The waiters were very friendly and polite, they were always available to offer their services. The food was sublime, full of flavours and spice. The restaurant is in an ideal place for a night out, and would definitely recommend this place if you want to eat in a sociable atmosphere with great food then this is the place.

I visited this restaurant with my family. I checked the menu, but I couldn’t decide what to have. The waiter (the owner) came over and asked what we would like to order. I couldn’t still decide, so he politely asked if I wanted to change anything. Fortunately for me he changed something on the menu for me. It was nice of him as he didn’t have to do so. They don’t normally do it like this, but as I couldn’t decide he had the chef make an amazing meal for us. If I go to another Indian, it will be New Delhi! Thank you so much. I hope I haven’t got the owner in trouble with other customers.

Have been here many times with group of friends- The food is very good, the atmosphere is just right and the service is great. If you are in Grays town and fancy and Indian meal, this is the place for you.

Have been using this restaurant for many years. We went on Saturday evening have not been for a few months everyone was pleased to see us and made us so welcome. Thought it was time i posted another review. The food is excellent comes up well presented and piping hot. The staff are very efficeint and friendly. We do not eat Indian foord anywhere else. If you have never used try it i am sure yhou will be happy with the food. See you all again. Gary and jackie

We have started to use the New Delhi Grays, Indian restaurant now, because the previous one we used has gone sown the pan. We wish we had used this restaurant years ago. The food is excellent, and the staff are very helpful. We recommend the New Delhi any time, trying is the best way to find out.

As this was highly rated, went with 5 of my friends couple of weeks back. Service was great, however the food was a damp squib! We ordered Lamb Karai (Hot), and requested to make it hot - however it was served with a raw green chilly on top. If the lazy Chef had instead sauteed the green chilly and added it to the dish it would tasted fab. Although the dishes had the ingredients and spice, they lacked something.....this was on a week day when the restaurant was mostly empty! Surprisingly my friends from Africa had the same disappointing experience!! Unfortunately, my favourite Indian in the area is still the ONE on Orsett Cock R/A!!

Best curry in Essex, don't even hesitate about booking this place! Staff are legends, curry's incredible, what more could you want!

Me and my mum decided to venture out one evening and fancied having some Indian cuisine for dinner so after reading some good reviews on this place, decided to give it a try. We had the set menu on a Sunday evening offering good value for money. The presentation and taste of the food was really lovely and the only thing that was more costly was the drinks. They also charge for the dips with the poppadum's and considering we didn't use these, we did find that slightly cheeky. The service was good and fast and therefore I would definitely recommend this place. I have also ordered takeaways from here which arrive hot and fresh and even better value for money.

When we come back to the UK for a visit, we always try to go to an Indian Restaurant and we are usually disappointed. This time we went to the NEW DELHI in Grays and we were amazed at the quality. The food was excellent, served beautifully and the ambience was absolutely first class. The staff were polite without being subservient, the decor was restful and the price was very reasonable. We will definitely go again!

Decided to book New Delhi been a while since last visit ...Was well worth it as usual service perfect food really scrummy mmmm....This is a no nonsense all-round brilliant Indain food reasonable cost excellent service brilliant food..And more important Cobra ice cold mmmmm....I highly recommend this establishment ....If you haven't been here do yourself a favor and go you wont be dissapointed..

Having a local restaurant that is comparable to those I have seen in Singapore, the USA and central London is a joy. Hash and many of their staff treat us like king and queen and won’t leave us until we are absolutely satisfied.

As you can see by my previous review I gave them 10out of 10 for the food but I decided to eat there last night with my wife’s family,food still 10 out of 10 but the service was terrible there was 7 of us we waited 1hour for the waiter to take our order for starters,whilst waiting for starters to arrive twice I had to go to the bar and ask where are our drinks were,then had to ask please take our order for main courses asked for more drinks they never came until I went to the bar then I asked for water never came until I went to bar absolute shambles and they wasn’t really busy plus many waiters working so no excuse , something tells me the boss was not about;well I cannot se myself rushing back there in a hurry and I think I can speak for the rest of our party;shame because I like the food but not the poor service

Excellent food, always some type of deal or offer on as well so it isn't as expensive as you might expect. Caters to vegetarian/vegan diets slightly which is always helpful and really nice ambience inside.

My friend and I took my daughter shopping at Lakeside for her 11th birthday. Even with a huge selection of food venues there, she decided she wanted an Indian meal so I did a little bit of digging about on Trip Advisor and discovered New Delhi.
