Providero Tea and Coffee House in Conwy

Always wonderful coffee (quite strong), served with a smile. On this occasion I just had coffee, but I know from past experience that the blueberry and lemon bakewell slices are sensational, and the smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels are good, too. A great haven in a slightly quieter but still handy part of the town. And the WiFi works!

Excellent coffee,smoothie and toast before train journey to London. Service was excellent. Sat downstairs but extra seating upstairs. Ideal as railway station no longer has a cafe Can also pick up some good quality snacks for the journey here

Sainsburys staff recommend this place as their coffee machine had broken. We only had drinks but it was lovely, young man that served us was very polite, nice to see him busy cleaning, wiping around the tables

We had coffee here a few times when we were in Llandudno on holiday and it was top top notch every time. I was trained to make amazing coffee over a very long time by someone who owned his own coffee company that he created from scratch and sold for six figures back in the 80’s (that was a lot of money back then) There was nothing he didn’t know about coffee and I mean nothing. So I know my stuff when it comes to top coffee. The coffee here is impeccable and impeccable every time. How this place is 25 on trip advisor is mind boggling I don’t believe there is 24 better coffee shops in the whole of Wales let alone in Llandudno. I would recommend anyone to go try the coffee here I’m sure you will love it if your a coffee snob like me. We’ll done guys I love to see passionate business owners especially in the coffee field because of my history and love of coffee and you guys are certainly that and more.

Nice atmosphere, good barista. I had a very tasty mocha, and sat in the upstairs seating area. Free WiFi thankfully. Compared to Costa etc, you only get what I would describe as a ‘medium’ sized drink for the price of a large (£3.20)

Really disappointing. Cold and uninspiring surroundings, no decor and no atmosphere. Cake choice disappointing. Service not friendly but just does the job. No choice of coffee blends and no choice of coffee type i.e. cafetiere, drip etc. Seems odd for a "coffee house". Was expecting an "experience" but couldn't leave fast enough. Americano was ok though.

I waited 15 mins after paying for my coffee (for two takeaway coffees) despite there being no long queue and 5 people working behind the counter. The coffee wasn’t that great either. Such a shame - this place used to be one of my favourites.

Visits with a friend. Coffee was lovely but the staff were very unprofessional. A member of staff was discussing something personal in a very loud manor. The shop had ourselves and two other parties in there was we all made eye contact as we couldn't believe it. It was also quite chilly. Not half as good as the one in llandudno town. I wont be coming back.

Delicious toast and jams as well as the best cappuccinos in the area! We love popping in on a rainy day and !bonus! Providero is dog friendly and our pooch always gets a warm welcome from the staff! Cosy feel and relaxed atmosphere makes for an enjoyable experience every time.

heard a lot about it but very disappointed. Place looks ramshackle, black coffee undrinkable and staff were bland. Didn't have the food but what was on show looked quite uninspiring.

Absolutely love Providero's coffee! Definitely come here often for a pick me up. The coffee is so smooth to drink and they even add the leaf on top of the milk :)

Had the most delicious take away coffee as usual and happily served in a biodegradable cup. Lovely customer service and my car smelled divinely of freshly ground coffee after having a pack ground specially. The cakes looked divine too!

We love visiting this lovely cosy coffee shop, it not only has the best teas and coffee it also has a great selection of yummy cakes (vegan too) 👍👍the staff are very helpful, and welcoming and there is always a happy relaxed atmosphere, dogs are given a warm welcome too. Came in a coffee as I was visiting Llandudno junction and enjoyed a superb cup of coffee. The place is a bit small with seating for possibly six people but there are more places upstairs. Tempting display of cakes although I had to pass this time. Nice friendly staff too.

Like to take my son out on a Saturday morning for breakfast & coffee or coffee & cake so we can go over our week together.

The best way I can describe Providero is its like stepping into a trendy coffee shop in upper Brooklyn, right down the to NYC style coffee. It has a good vibe and could tell it has a lot of regulars. Llandudno Junction hasn't really got anything to compare this to as its a very small town so its unique in that way. If you're looking for a relaxed place with a hipster vibe then this is the place for you. I can definitely see why it has so many 5 star ratings and people love it, but it wasn't for me. I'd recommend giving it a try.

Been going here for years... from the days when all I could drink was a vanilla latte to now when I get my flat white. Absolute quality and has been a great addition to Llandudno Junction. Great coffee and always great service!!!

Great choice of coffee also so many different tea's. Coped brilliantly with our large group. Sampled the cakes on offer - very different from the usual chocolate, etc-but delicious. Very reasonable prices. Would recommend.

I love the honesty and helpfulness of the staff in here its really really refreshing and makes your holiday even more of a great experience.

Disappointed no savoury lunches available. I've had a while hot chocolate from their in the past which was delicious. Shame there isn't a little more choice but what they do have is excellent.

Yes, Conwy, get your act together - we’d had two disappointing coffee stops in the morning - even a request for double shots didn’t produce anything like the great taste you get with Providero coffee.

Love this place, as it has a excellent choice of teas and coffee. By this I mean, you can choose the loose teas and make your own blend, which you don't get in other cafes. Also you can chose your own coffee beans to blend. With both you can have them made up and take home. Also the cakes are excellent, they do gluten free, just wished they had more vegan choice. Definitely recommend. Xx

I was having my car serviced and wondered what on earth I could do for two hours when there seemed nothing around but car garages, the garage recommended this place and it’s lovely. I was told they make awesome coffee but I don’t drink coffee but found they have awesome tea and cake too ! Happy I found it

This is the go to place on our monthly visits to North Wales. Been about ten times so far and consistently excellent. Friendly. Great coffee and toast (sourdough) and an all round feel good experience.

Coffee was great. I not have but partner did. I tried a bottle of organic coke. Much better than Coca Cola etc. Will be back. Maybe try snack next time.

Called in here with a friend. Had a black coffee and then an iced coffee. Both really great tasting. Service excellent by smiling staff. Very smalland quaint cafe. The home made cakes on display looked absolutely delicious. It took all my willpower not to indulge but the diet wont allow! Definitely go again.

Wasn't sure if it would keep it high standard since opening another cafe. Pleased to say I was wrong, as good as ever!My business colleague was a bit of a coffee new by, the server was very helpful for him. And explained which was which, which he found helpful. And I learnt a bit more too.Keep it up a Team Providero;-)

My wife and I visited Llandudno for a day out. The weather was warm and sunny and we decided to have lunch. A lot of the places were, I thought, poor value for money, so we settled on the Providero. We ordered the small platter to share and it was very nice and plentiful. We also had an excellent cup of tea. The service was very good, the cafe was clean and tidy, and the food was good. I would recommend anyone to visit.

I visited here with friends whilst on a bike ride and found a superb coffee shop in a lovely location. The coffees we had were all fantastic (a mix of black coffee, cappuccino and an oat milk based drinks between us) and the food was excellent too. The staff were very friendly and enthusiastic. A great experience

This cafe has become somewhat fashionable but it is very average regarding drinks and munchies. Friendly staff. Small premise in the junction. No parking.

This is a lovely independent coffee cafe bar, it is value for money, very good beans used, very helpful friendly staff, nice room upstairs, good snacks and cakes which have not come out of the local supermarket multi pack all in all a real gem in a unexpected area

I had read a review here on TA by someone complaining about being served by a hipster in a wooly hat and knew this was the coffee shop I wanted to go to. This place is just great, we had coffee and cake (chocolate and Guinness) and it was all sensational. The staff were so friendly and approachable when we talked to them (shock!) and I expressed my regret that we weren't served by the wooly hat brigade (though he was there, and we got to meet him!). Delightful place, would recommend to anyone.

Called in here for a quick coffee while our car was being fixed in the garage. I'm quite fussy about my coffee but this was delicious and we will definitely call in again. Friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. We only called in for a coffee so I can't judge it on the food but the cakes looked lovely.

I'm a frequent visitor to the small store in Llandudno Junction! The staff are all really friendly and the coffee is always 10/10! I've never eaten from here but the cakes on the counter always look amazing! I've recently purchased their house blend beans to take with me whilst I'm away working! Excellent coffee with a great atmosphere, perfect for a catch up with friends! The Llandudno store is larger for a bigger gathering and offers more seating outside of the weather suits.

Popped in here for a quick coffee while waiting for a bus. Double espresso and a macchiato, which came with a feathery design in the froth on top - lovely touch. Coffee was great! Tried the same in a Cafe Nero later that day for comparison. Providero wins by a mile.

I love this place, setting a new standard for north wales! My personal favourite is their aeropress. One of the best you can get in the country! Great work guys!

Firstly great coffee BUT I'm getting tired of being served coffee by young men and women with woolly hats. These guys have a new place that's just opened in Llandudno - again, superb coffee BUT woolly hats again? Seriously??! Ok, it's not lost on me, the Hipster movement uniform and beards, but the staff need to perk up a bit, less cool more customer service. It's all about the drink and the atmosphere and not Buddy Holly in a beard and check shirt serving you coffee. I don't care if you were a bag over your head, just smile and be human and less pretentious.

Excellent service, knowledge and coffee! Will visit again. Lovely little pastries too. All in a very quaint little shop.

Called in to BigProv for lunch on Friday, It was a delightful feast, and served by helpful staff. We would be happy to visit again.

Small, friendly coffee house with staff who are passionate about their brews. Locally roasted coffee, hand made cakes and a warm welcome - what's not to like?BTW vegan and gluten free cakes are usually available along with a wide choice of teas.

The coffee is excellent, and easily the best around the area. It was however a shame that the staff and service on my last visit was a bit lacklustre. Normally it's been great. "Can do" attitude would be a better fit for a great coffee house like this, rather than "can't." I wanted a larger version of a flat white, but apparently could only have it in a small one, or have a cappuccino! I'd have paid for two (or even three)!

This is a brilliant gem, and is a must try. Brilliant happy helpful staff, fabulous cakes and pastries and coffee and tea that I look forward to each weekend. What could be better?

Not a lot I can say about this place. Relying on previous reviews, we called in for coffee on a Saturday afternoon. A warm welcome from super friendly staff, excellent coffee and tea (leaf tea!), delicious cakes. Will definitely go back when next in the area. Very difficult to park nearby - we drove round the block four or five times - but it was worth persevering.

We went this morning for breakfast in Llandudno, me and my wife had the fully loaded porridge and it was delicious. We also had two cups of the best tasting coffee in town .. the place was that good we returned for launch as well and had a large sharing platter. Again the cheese and meat and assorted Chutneys was delicious. This is a great new style cafe

tiny coffeeshop with lovely coffee and cakes, but so packed with people with tablets and portables that all you can do sometimes is stick your head in, decide you won't sit with dozens of other people at the few cramped tables downstairs or upstairs, and leave again. They should definitely put up a sign advising customers not to use their electronic devices for more than 20 minutes max. Even when you do get a seat, it's normally at a shared table, which can be stressful and detracts from the enjoyment of your coffee and cake.

We found this cafe driving out of Llandudno as we couldn't cross the bridge. It was a lucky find - really good service from the girls inside and the best home made cakes ever. A bit pricey BUT better than your average cafe for coffee and cakes. Well worth a stop if your passing that way and need a break - put it in your SatNav. Seating inside and upstairs, but we had a six hour journey in front of us so we took to the bench outside for the more adventurous. That's a dog bowl outside, not an ash tray in the photo.

I always stop here if I'm going to Llandudno, it's not convenient but it is do worth it. The flat whites are such a treat!

I have been going to Providero since the summer of 2014 and I have never had a bad experience. The staff are friendly, helpful and they are passionate about what they do. The coffee is amazing. My particular favourite is the "Flat White". I also use their coffee for my cafetière to have my own Providero coffee at home. It is a lovely place and I highly recommend you visit.

Nice music, chilled workers, well presented, fantastic home made cakes and excellent coffee, although I didn't ask the blend or style or type, it was a lovely roast and not bitter, as seems to be the way of the chains and the stuff they serve up.I think this is how coffee shops should be. Avoid the chains and their second rate everything, and support small independents that do it well. Bravo.

Great coffee service by pleasant and happy staff, forget Costa and Starbucks and try a real coffee instead. Also have vegan friendly oatly and soy options

Been going to this coffee house for over two years. I will detour to go here.Parlking can be an issue but worth looping back if necessary for the variety and quality of the teas, coffees and cakes. Always been accomodating on my daughters gluten issues. Wonderful is not adequate.

I visited this restaurant during my road trip in February 2016. I am a coffee lover and always look for best coffee when visiting different cities. I found this coffee shop on Internet when passing by during my road trip. I decided to give it a try and WOW. The quality of flat white is amazing. I wish I could visit here again in future.

It is nice to find somewhere that does simple things but does them really well. The Providero doesn't set out to provide anything other than a great cup of coffee in comfortable surroundings (and at a reasonable price!). The staff were very welcoming and there was a nice selection of cakes, biscuits etc. The coffee was excellent, I particularly liked the big lump of chocolate on a stick I was given to melt into my Mocha along with the advice 'give it plenty of time to melt...it's worth the wait!'The place is very small but not cramped, downstairs is lovely while there are more tables upstairs which is a little rough and ready but still comfortable. I liked the names on the chairs which I assume are people who helped sponsor the place There is also free Wi-Fi.Looking forward to next time!.

I am not a coffee fan but I have heard so many raving reviews! I personally LOVE the hot chocolate in this tiny, welcoming, warm, cosy and easy-going coffee shop. I like that I can go for a catch up with friends, or I can get on with work! They also do a mean portion of toast and Homemade Flapjack!!

You need to be able to manage steep stairs to access the main seating area, upstairs, downstairs very limited space. Modest dimensions mean it can get full very quickly. The coffee is legendary status already and the staff knowledegable and passionate about their coffee very attentive. Providero now embedded in the local language as the coffee location of choice. I believe they are opening another shop this time in nearby Llandudno, concerned that this does not dilute the service experience available in the junction. Buy a packet of beans to take home!

I just love Providero! The coffe and cakes are delicious and the staff are very friendly and effcient. They also seem truly passionate about the quality of the product. The house espresso blend is one of the best I have tried. We are addicted to this place, and keep finding excuses to travel to or through Llandudno Junction, just to have a coffee (...and a cake). This is what a proper specialist coffee house is all about. Perfect really...

This has the feel of an authentic boutique coffee shop from the east coast US. Brilliant. Best coffee in the area. Also yummy cakes (some gluten free). Cosy atmosphere, friendly staff, couldn't ask for more.

Have been meaning to write a quick review of Providero for some time, but not found the time. I'll keep it short and to the point - you will not find a better urban coffee shop in Britain. Coffee is the best I have had anywhere but the atmosphere is uniquely fantastic too. It really sticks to the ethos of an uran coffee shop too, not selling ioads of food - simply great breads/toast and cakes. If you visit you will not be disappointed.

Another visit another great coffee ! He had a marvellous 'minty gin and tonic' cake and I had walnut toast. Staff are always happy and extremely friendly! Relaxed and coffee fixed by the time I left !

I had been meaning to visit this shop for a few weeks ever since a family member stumbled across it a few weeks back. I had fairly high expectations after following the shop on instagram and reading the reviews etc and I have to say I was not dissapointed at all. The coffee tasted amazing and all of the cakes looked incredible! A definate must visit if you are in the area

The friendliest coffee shop you'll find, with an endless selection of teas. You can pay by card, get a free tea after half a dozen visits or so and the prices are reasonable aswell, ticks every box. The cakes are fantastic, fresh and home made!

A must-visit coffee shop with awesome and scrumptious cakes, a laid back vibe and plenty of space for perching in the coffee shop or chilling out in the upstairs space (tables and chairs or comfy chairs). We recently revisited for an evening event and Jon and the team definitely know how to put on a well-hosted fun evening! What a gem!

Visit here on a regular basis - nice little coffee house in the middle of the Junction. Plenty of quirky coffees, teas and cakes to try at great prices. Try it and you will be back.

Taking a holiday in North Wales, route all planned, destination arrived at, time to spare,, time for coffee, called in at this wonderful coffee house very friendly staff, great great coffee. Had a lovely slice of sourdough toast and Blueberry jam, so so nice will call again, will have just make time to go back, the coffee is that good. I visited this lovely little coffee shop while visiting my daughter and son-in-law and 2 grandy's. it is their favorite coffee shop close to their house. I met a couple of her friends that work there and had some espresso and cake. lovely!!! will definitely return. I will have to loose weight to walk up the hill where it is. tell Emma I said hi!!!!

I come here nearly every morning for the nicest coffee I've ever had. Jon, Jake, Emma, Brontë, and James are all lovely! The aesthetic of the coffee shop is amazing and the amount of coffee, tea, and baked goods on offer is great. A must-visit if you're passing through (or even if you're not passing through, it's worth the travel).

The best barista skills in north wales! A must if you're going to enoch's next door for fish and chips first...nor if vaguely passing Llandudno junction. Also delicious homemade cakes.

Highly recommended - I dropped in when driving by recently and purchased a Double Espresso. The Coffee was made with Love and a great description provided of the Beans used and sourced. The coffee was excellent and if you are near here and looking for good Coffee drop in...
