Quaglino's in City of London, Westminster

I been going here for many years now, it's been good until now , but when I went there today, I was very very disappointed with the new menu charges! Before we used to get bread and butter to the table without asking for it, today, when we go there we didn't get any, and I've been told it's now chargeable on the menu, Forget that even steak does not come with any sides. We had to pay for fries vegetables to come with the steak. This is unbelievable paying £90 for a steak and it does not come with any side , I asked to see What sauces are coming with this steak? I've been told this is chargeable unbelievable to learn that we get charged for a steak sauce ! Plus on top of everything else they Charged us for Listening to live music that was playing there. I will not go there again

Quaglinos is THE place to be! Amazing vibe here, it’s like something in the movies! A place to see and be seen. You have to see it to believe it. An assault on all the senses (in a good way)

Management rude, front of house cold and unfriendly- such a shame! Visited for my birthday, food was average, entertainment was the best part (Lloren, the singer, was really great). However, hosts made the atmosphere uncomfortable, staring and standing around in groups- didn’t even greet us at the door and super unfriendly. I brought a homemade cake for friends- was told it wasn’t allowed which I understand, different restaurants have different policies and my mistake for not ringing up and asking. I had brought boxes to at least cut the cake up to give out. However, they didn’t even let me cut it up at the door so had to bring the whole thing home. What made it a bad experience was the fact that the manager was patronising and rude for no reason- the manner in which he spoke was unpleasant, coupled with the fact the restaurant was very empty anyways - they could easily have been more accommodating. Not the type of service you expect at around £100 per person. Overall, wouldn’t recommend- you can get better live music elsewhere in Soho and a much friendlier/more pleasant experience. On top of that poor service even though there were very few tables. Definitely won’t be back, don’t waste your time and money here!

After much hype, decided to have a meal at Quaglinos. We were happily seated in a prime position near the stage. Aside from that, nothing of the evening was particularly great. The food was average and although we requested Halal, there was not one item available, so we could only eat seafood dishes. There were only two vegetarian options. Neither appealled. The live entertainment was not anything to write home about either. We ate very average meals and for the price, didn't think much. The atmosphere is nice, and perhaps the other dishes are OK, but we were so disappointed, we left without desserts. They could really have a wider reach if they catered for more vegetarian or halal options. This was a first and last visit.

I ordered the seabass and fries and it was great. The chocolate orange fondant dessert was my favourite!! Our waiter was sooo kind and welcoming his name was Petit, gave us excellent reccomemdations. Chef Danilo was great as usual!

I came for dinner tonight and had the best time!! It exceeded all expectations!! Big shoutout to our lovely chef Danilo for the tastiest food and desserts and our waiter Petit who was soooo accommodating and sweet, and took some lovely photos of us! Best time

Unfortunately our food was barely warm which was a shame as it was really good.

Excellent food. Friendly server and band was very entertaining. Mix up with serving wine but soon rectified. It’s an expensive Sunday lunch but add in location, music and quality of food and it seems a fair price for a special afternoon.

Everything was amazing. Was a great night full of joy and fun but never forget Petit Mara who added extra enjoyment of the night with great customer service

Went there for a Saturday brunch. Mistake was we arrived too early. Music starts about 1 PM so you want to be there around that time, to enjoy a tasty food and few glasses of champagne while listening to live music. Great for day time anniversaries or special occasions. Service is very good. Place gets even better in the evening, live music and dance, I was told. Intend to revisit for a dinner experience next time!

Love it here. My second time with friends. Great cocktails and delicious food, the live singing was such a vibe too. We even got up and had a dance! Good service from the waiters, very attentive. Drinks were flowing. Will always recommend Quaglinos.

Spectacular venue, staff a little less friendly upstairs ,whilst trying to find a table for a nightcap.

I have enjoyed Quag's many times, but last night the service was not on par. Drinks of all things were remarkably slow to receive, food was received but not what we ordered, and because the waiter was so hard to track down all evening, it made it hard to correct mistakes the house was making. We got to try some things we didn't order and of course the wonderful performance distracted us from the poor service. The drinks and food were as always a delight. I hope this was just a Wednesday thing and not a sign of a declining treasure, that quag's has been. The forced gratuity never felt more forced than last night. Not earned, but I'll be back to give it another try. The over Quag's experience warrants it.

Hello, I recently came to dine at Quaglino’s and had a really poor experience. This was meant to be a birthday meal for my partner and I. The reservation was set for 9:30pm, we arrived at 9:20pm and it was made apparent with rudeness that they did not appreciate our early arrival. We were seated at the bar to wait for our table to be prepared and we were left waiting for half an hour! During our wait we had politely asked if there was an update on when our table would be ready and we were again responded to with rudeness and the staff blatantly did not care. While we were waiting we observed that other couples who were predominantly white were seated immediately upon arrival. After our 30 minute wait we were taken to a table right in the back corner with no view of the live performance. Considering the reservation had been booked weeks prior and we had waited a considerable amount of time for a table it was very rude and distasteful that we were given the worst seat in the restaurant with no apology for the wait. When we requested for a better table two of the staff members were very patronising as they said that they will would look to see what other tables were available in the main area. They then proceeded to turn around, look towards the main area for less than a second and told us that there were no tables even though we could clearly see tables available. Baring in mind that couples who came after us were seated immediately at tables that we could have been seated at. Due to the rudeness and level of poor service, we decided not to dine here. We also noted that other black couples and individuals were being seated in this section away for the main view. This was very worrying and at the time it did feel like a deliberate act. We would really appreciate a response to this matter as soon as possible as this was a terrible experience.

I would like to thank all the staff at Quaglinos for making our mothers day so special from start to finish. Our waiter who was serving our table could not do enough for us and i am sorry i never took his name so i could comment on him personally. He was fantastic and unbelievably helpful. The staff catered for our young children and their needs - especially my very fussy 4 year old! We thoroughly enjoyed our day and was even treated to a rituals goody bag to top off the visit. Thank you Quaglinos it was a pleasure as always

Really great dining and food was amazing ! I left stuffed with a take away bag. The music was awesome and our waiter Millie was very attentive to our needs the whole night .

We went for Sunday lunch with live music and it was FANTASTIC! We were looked after superbly by Millie who was bright, efficient, helpful, charming and incredibly smart (could not ask for better service - thank you Millie!). The live musicians were superb, full of soul, fun and dance! Kristin was an amazing vocalist and you MUST see her! The Sunday lunch was wonderful. A good selection and surprisingly delicious. I say 'surprisingly' only because this is a large music venue and you do not necessarily expect the food to be brilliant (when there are so many tables to cater for) but the lunch was incredibly good! This very impressive and elegant venue has it all - from Joshua who greets you warmly on the door to the glamour, to the cuisine, to the fabulous live music and of course to Millie (the icing on an already sparkling cake!). I hardly ever leave reviews but I want everyone to know how magical Quaglino's truly is. Please book now!! You won't regret it.

What a beautiful birthday celebration we had! Music was Sublime. Being professional Musos we are a little picky. And we were not disappointed!! the service was exceptional. The lovely young lady Milly, who looked after us so well was very helpful. Particularly with our neuro diverse party. She had the perfect balance of help, Explanation and consideration for all of us. Thoroughly slick affair but we were also able to let our hair down and have a good dance. The food was Sublime. All of our Dietary needs were catered for too. We will be back!

Visited Quaglinos for my 30th birthday dinner and me and my guests had an amazing time. The vibe was upbeat and amazing. It would be really hard not to have a great time here!

I celebrated my birthday over brunch. The food was fabulous: the duck breast was tender and succulent and the desserts were delicious. Giuseppe was attentive and friendly. The service was impeccable. The live music entertainment was top quality covering classic jazzy and chill out pieces. We will return

Great atmosphere, tasty food however my wife said her cod was a bit cold. But overall, very nice experience.

Lovely restaurant, great atmosphere however, our table was so close to next table and drinks area every time server walked passed knocked my chair constantly! Also we were hurried up towards the end of our 2 hours slot even though 30 mins later still no one seated at our table… such a shame as band were great, food good, just need to let people enjoy their meal without harassing them to move to get the next people in as it’s not cheap… don’t be so greedy !!

We have visited this amazing restaurant for our 1st time the band were incredible food was fantastic and staff was very attentive we got looked after by Millie . Definitely come back when we are back down in London .highly recommend

Awful table, the service was appalling. We had to fight to get attention to order our food having looked at the menus. We asked for wine which I was asked to taste. I did so, and pulled cork a small piece of cork from my mouth. The bottle was sent away but returned to us and we were told it was not corked and it was not being replaced and it was just a dirty glass . There was no apology. We ordered off the set menu but were not brought or even offered the included “glass of bubbles” - just the corked wine. The bread tin was slammed on the table with two tiny rolls which were like rocks inside. Terrible presentation and quality. The food was fine, but not great. However we were going to order coffee and a nightcap when, before 11pm (noting it is advertised as closing at midnight) we were asked if the bill could be brought to us I was then informed shortly after that I had been overcharged by approx £50 and that was refunded with no explanation other than the fact that I had been overcharged. The restaurant have ignored my email of complaint and deleted my reservation on the third party booking sight to prevent me leaving a review it seems.

We had an amazing night for our parents’ 44th wedding anniversary. Great music all night, great atmosphere and excellent service! We will be back! It was a lot of fun. Thank you to all of the staff for making the evening special.

Great choice for a lively night out. The mains were outstanding, and so was the desert. The starters were a little disappointing as this is where the chefs have the opportunity to be a bit "bold". The live entertainment was excellent - will definitely go again.

If you want a fun night out with friends or clients then come Here , food is very good especially the Dover Sole and fillet , entertainment is excellent may be. Little loud to continue having a conversation during but they take breaks or I’m just getting old

This place is absolutely beautiful, it's like walking into the titanic dining room. It was a mixed age group but very very very loud as has over 300+ seating for diners. I can not recommend the food, the starters came cold, the duck pate was served with what tasted like sticky toffee pudding a bizarre mix, the mains do not come with sides and you are charged an extra £6 per side, the steak was average the duck was good. The desert cheese platter was huge. Service charge is 15% the staff were good and attentive but not particularly friendly, nor would I be working in there to be fair, it's so hard to hear. The best thing about this place is the incredibley talented duo who sang through dinner over the noise and late into the night from classic Jazz to soul to garage to pop. Amazing.

Had a great time celebrating my boyfriend's 25th birthday here. Millie and all the rest of the staff really went out of their way to make it special and we had a really lovely evening.

The ambiance and music are really nice. Pesonal is friendly, however they push in eating and drinking fast to have the table ready for the next. 5 minutes after order the starter is there. 10 minutes later the main course. The food was good, but not very special.

Food was nice however we booked an experience which included live music. Only to find it lasted 20 minutes. The waitress seated my table of 10 on a cramped and when we asked to move she seemed to have a real issue doing so eventhough there was an empty table next to us and we were their last reservation. We arrived on time but were told on arrival we had 15 minutes to order before kitchen closed. they should not advertise a slot of 4pm if this is the case and the music should have last much longer in my opinion. This was for our anniversary and we left quite disappointed

I love to dine at Quaglino’s usually. But yesterday I felt quite disappointed tbh. I admittedly was late due to roadworks in Ldn. Upon the end of the 2 hours dinning window we were rushed off of our table and banished upstairs to the bar. But in doing that we had a Birds Eye view of our empty table which was not occupied for the next 45mins. I could have ordered my dessert!! Rather disappointing. But the live music was Stella as usual. I believe the manager could have allowed us an extra 15 minutes even to eat dessert.

Busy Saturday night, excellent service and entertainment and lovely to see a little dancing too. Main courses were lovely, less impressed with starters, only given it 4 stars a think a normal man may still be hungry at the end of it.

The service from Petit Mara was great, the ambience and music was very nice. The only disappointing element of the experience was the food. Below average for the money you pay. If the food is improved the experience will be fantastic!

Brunch food menu far more limited than it used to be. Food was ok Service is what let it down. Our waitress didn’t listen to what we said. Ie we told her when we sat down just the three of us and then a considerable delay in taking our order … she said she thought we were waiting for someone ! Brought soup for two of us and we had to ask for spoons. Cleared plates for 2 of us when third was still eating ( very bad etiquette) then cleared all plates and left us. We had to ask for dessert menu. Finally my husband noticed they’d charged us for 2 bottles of wine plus a bottle of champagne when we’d only had 1 of wine and 1 of champagne. Just overall lack of attention to detail. Been to quaglinos a number of times since the 80’s. Sadly we won’t be going back.

A warm welcome as soon as we arrived. All staff were very polite and efficient and made us feel special. Our meal was delicious and beautifully presented. Good choice of wines and champagne. Live music was fantastic. We all had a wonderful evening and can’t wait to visit again
