What a gem of a place. Quite apart from the beautiful location and views the food was totally delicious. Freshly prepared to order with home made coleslaw and couscous salad garnish. Fresh crab on brown granary and a prawn baguette served by attentive, friendly smiley people. A joy to spend time and money there.

Stopped in at the tearoom while doing the circular walk around Lawrenny and we are so glad we did! Ordered a Welsh breakfast and my partner the eggs on sourdough toast. All of the produce was local and all so delicious. Lovely place to sit and watch the world go by at the quay. Dog friendly too which was a bonus - lots of dog treats on the menu 🐾

The smallest sandwich ever! The chef even came out with the Artisan bread to show me its “ local” they want to use local ingredients, yet have a Carte D’or ice cream van outside! A teaspoon of couscous salad and a very small garnish of salad x 2 £20 ! Ooops plus 1 coffee. Couldn’t have tap water as it was discoloured?? Clear in the loos with the same water supply?! Cheese & leek tart up by £5 with the addition of a couple of potatoes !

A big thank you to the lady serving in the cafe today , it was really busy and we came for lunch for my birthday , one member of staff told us they weren’t doing ice cream sundaes ( which is what we had come for !) but the staff member ( who we think is the daughter of the owner) kindly sorted us out and made my day ! Thank you , great ice cream sundae and a lovely halloumi and avocado salad !

We visited this little gem after a lovely long walk. We chose to sit in as the weather was hit and miss and what a charming little place it was and very attentive staff. There were three of us in our party we chose to eat the ham and cheese panini, which was fully loaded, the steak, onion and mushroom baguette which was totally amazing, both of these were served with homemade coleslaw, beautiful side salad and cous cous, also the baguette was served with fresh new potatoes. The other member of our party ordered the ploughman’s which was huge and a great variety of cheese and the best chutney ever. We had to buy a jar of the chutney it was so good. The cakes looked outstanding and such huge pieces we had to have a slice of chocolate sponge to take home and may I say that was scrummy. This place is clean, excellent food and exceptional quality, great staff and great prices. Keep up the good work 5 stars needed for this little gem of a place.

Lunch was excellent lovely fresh resourced foods which great choice of menu. Excellent customer service. Eat inside or out under large umbrellas. Dogs allowed inside. Surroundings very peaceful and relaxing looking over the estuary ample free parking. Such a find. There is a separate posh caravan which sells ice creams and hot/cold drinks if you don't to enter the cafe. Prices reasonable, but the posh fancy ice creams from the van is a tad experience the cones are fine. An ideal place to go for good food, lovely surroundings to watch the boats and wildlife and if feeling energetic there is a fantastic NT walk along the estuary through the Oak woodland, via the boatyard. Just have to check the tide times before going as walk transfers onto the estuary down wooden steps.

The quality of the food and the service was excellent and the setting is beautiful. We also decided to go on the short circular walk advertised. I would suggest that you only attempt it if you are very stable footed & children are older. Also take a walking stick /pole. The walk took us 3 hours (not the 1 hour advertised), it was more like scrabbling at points and both my 7 year old and I fell over. It is also important to note when the tide comes in as part of it is along the beach bit of an estuary - apart from that, the views were good!

We both ordered their Lighthouse Keeper's platter. SECOND MISTAKE. We should have shared one as they were MASSIVE. 3 big chunks of cheese, apple, grapes, chutney, crispy baguette and a cheese and cranberry scone. We were really full but as I'd already got the desserts we had to eat them and boy were they fabulous. A jumbleberry cheesecake and a key lime cheesecake. Stunning and very light.

We arrived about 12.30 on a drizzly day and the tearoom was very busy. My husband and I didn’t mind the wait but our autistic son doesn’t do waiting very well, the young lady was very accommodating and when I suggested that we wait in the car she was more than happy for us to do that and when a table became available she came and got us. The food was delicious and it wasn’t any trouble to have our sons jacket potato the way he wanted even asking about wether the cheese and onion could be together or on separate plates/dishes. It is very refreshing to come across a place where you don’t feel like your a nuisance but instead made more than welcome. Thanks to the tearoom we had a stressed free lunch which doesn’t happen very often.

After visiting every year on holiday, I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to have anything this year! But they offer toast for the sandwiches, which was great or pitta bread. I was a little disappointed that there was an extra charge of £1 per gluten free sandwich, I know the bread is more expensive but not this expensive! They also have gluten free specials too, I had the Frittata, which was gorgeous!

A friend recommended that we visited this little cafe by the harbour and it is well worth the winding lanes drive. Food is fresh, local and homemade and the staff are friendly and welcoming. We both chose Fresh Dressed Crab Salad which was out of this world! It’s easy to see why the tearoom is so busy.

A sunny day and a view of the river make the Lawrenny Tearoom a lovely place to visit. You can enjoy a walk through the impressive woodland behind the tearoom which gives amazing views of the river and then retrace your steps to enjoy lunch. There is plenty of outside seating as well as tables inside. We chose a brie and Serrano ham panini and fresh crab sandwiches both of which were accompanied by salad, coleslaw and some corn chips. Coffee and a slice of carrot cake topped off the lunch for us. Will definitely make this a regular visit.

We try to go to Lawrenny quay when the tide is in, as it is a perfect place to take a stroll, or a longer circular walk and end up in this lovely waterside café with views over the Cleddau estuary.
