We love the charm of this old pub. We had a 3 course Sunday lunch. All served quickly and food was lovely. Their new outdoor area is great and we'll be sure to be back to try it

Debo decir que estaba extremadamente decepcionado con toda nuestra experiencia de cenar en Bob's anoche había reservado para una comida familiar ya que mi hijo estaba de visita desde Londres, el frente de la casa fue una gran decepción para este pequeño pub encantador y la comida no 't a su nivel normal no tendrá prisa por regresar.

Been going to Bob Stewarts for a long time always had great food drink and service would highly recommend to all keep up the good work

Our first visit but will not be our last, ticked all the boxes & more.This is the first time we'd taken our 1 yr old dog Kofi into a bar/restaurant & the welcome both he & we received was lovely. He got spoilt & fussed over & then plonked himself in front of the fire whilst we enjoyed our Sunday lunch/dinner.Food, drinks & service was really good & everyone including the customers made us feel very welcome. Thanks folks

U know I lived beside this place for most of my life and never set foot inside until today, well was I a fool This is what a pub should be and not these readymade Burger King style building’s, it was homely, quaint and a pleasure to sit in. With nick knacks adorning the walls and ceiling it was just rite The service was very pleasant and yip the staff smiled the menu for a lunch was varied and plentiful. We had the steak sandwich and stew with beef cheek, both where beautiful and flavoursome.. u know why should I tell you what to eat, just go and try try try

My wife and I visited Bob's last Saturday night for the advertised 2 course meal for two including wine for £49.50.We had buffalo wings, one with barbecue sauce and the other spicy, there was so much that we had to ask for a delay in getting our main course. My wife had Seabass and I had the steak, including sides. Needless to say, we couldn't finish either of our meals. Normally with special meal offers including wine, you are given a house wine, not so at Bob's, a New "Zealand Sauvignon blanc" worth at least £18/20 was pleasantly consumed. Glad to say Jackie was in great form!! 5 star evening. Thanks

As always a fabulous meal in my favourite place. Staff are lovely,attentive and friendly. Just wish I lived a bit closer so I could visit more often!

This is great spot just outside between Belfast and Lisburn beside the Lagan Tow path .We dropped by on Sunday and had a great meal serviced hot and fresh with attentive staff in an old authentic Irish pub with nice ambience.. We have not called by to have food in a while but were impressed and will be back .As for the bald headed waiter you either like this style of service or you don't a bit like marmite but some days patrons like a warm friendly chat and abit of a fuss other days not so much and prefer their own company you cannot please all the people all the time .One compliant we had was the punter at the bar listen to Sky Sport News on his I phone for all the bar to hear, the house rule should be to put a stop to this as it is most irritating worst than children on their I Pads in restaurants.

Haven’t been here for a while but came for lunch today with friends. The food is honest and straight forward. The service was outstanding and jolly. Probably be back sooner than later.

Gorgeous, cosy wee place. The bar is dog friendly which we love but even better, kids aren't allowed.......we love that even more! Food was amazing. Wine and dine menu for 49.50. Chicken wings for starter were a perfect amount of spice and good portion. Good size of sirloin steak for main was cooked perfect with the chunkiest of chips which were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the inside. Peppered sauce was spicy and thick and tasted amazing. Staff were very friendly snd helpful and very attentive. All of this was washed down with a btl of malbec which was included in the 49.50 & because i couldnt finish it i was allowed to take it home!

Just one of a kind. The quirkiest spot with loads of cool random objects and signs everywhere you look- and no matter how often you go, you'll spot something new every time.

Our third visit and this place only seems to get better. The food is gorgeous the staff are amazing. We went for the deal 2 courses & a bottle of wine for £49.90. We had brie wedges and spicy wings to start, two sirloin steaks and sides, along with a fine bottle of Malbec. I must say this has been my best visit thank team Bob Stewart's for a making another fantastic memory.

Love visiting this quaint pub near Drumbo as it is near Lady Dixons park, I had an amazing vegan mushroom stoganoff with rice. It was so good I will definitely be back for more of this. Great service and not over priced.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this review. Having previously visited this establishment, and enjoying the falafel burgers immensely, I was wanting somewhere nice to take an English visitor. Not having been for a few years, I phoned today to ask what the vegan option was. The boy who answered the phone, said he didn't know and went to ask. He came back and told me there are no vegan options. Most places that don't have vegan options on the menu (very rare in these days if allergies etc) are happy to discuss what they can make for you. If you have dried pasta, veg, tomatoes etc any decent chef can whip up a meal using these store cupboard staples. I hate writing bad reviews on here and I try to make my reviews positive, but I am disappointed as I remember the food and service previously being excellent. Please offer some vegan options, you had them before and they were delicious. This is a huge market now and you are missing out by not catering for us. We visited the Taproom at Hilden who have an excellent menu, well labelled with allergens and maybe you could take a leaf from their book.

Visited Bob Stewarts on a Saturday evening with a friend for a quiet meal. Food was excellent, waitress service likewise! No complaints there at all. As for ‘Bob Stewart’..... i have never met a more oppressive, inappropriate, cringe worthy ‘host’....... the list is endless......from this man, who seriously needs a refresher on customer relations skills. I will NEVER return!!!

Went in today for a couple of beers with my family and also 2 canine friends. The bar manager quickly pointed out that we had sorted out drinks for ourselves but had forgotten about the dogs. He quickly put that right and the dogs were very pleased. It is a nice pub with a good light hearted atmosphere. Never tried the food but the menu did look nice.

Two chicken burgers and chips with two small Cokes, over £35. Only when returning home did I check the menu online. It appears we were charged for extras we did not request. The waitress did ask what type of cheese we wanted which of course makes it sound like it’s included in the £12.90 price.

This was our first time at Bob Stewart's, recommended by our friends. The food was lovely, the wine was great and the atmosphere was friendly. Interesting decor, felt very homely with the open fire. Will definitely be back for the pub quiz, was great craic!

I thought I would bring my friends to the old Bob Stewart’s for a drink on Sunday on return from a day out in Belfast. We were greeted by a female waitress who asked if we were having food. When we said it was just a drink, we were immediately ushered into the separate public bar area away from the nice ambience of the restuarant/bar area where we have always been before.

I had the pleasure of having a birthday lunch here. A beautiful quaint place very peaceful and the food was top class. Looking forward to my next visit here.

Called in here for a quick bite of lunch on Easter Monday. It's a quaint wee pub and I hadn't been in for a few years, but had generally positive impressions from past visits. I had the beer battered fish and chips - priced at an outrageous £14.50 - which had hard batter and overcooked chips (even though we were among the first folk to be served that day). My partner had the seafood chowder, which was admittedly full of fish, but very thin in texture terms.

We had an lunch in Bob Stewarts recently, and it showed yet again why this is one of our favourite restaurants. The quality and quantity of the food is, as always, superb, service is both friendly and efficient and, while not the cheapest place to eat, it still represents very good value. Added to this, they also serve an excellent pint of Guinness.

My husband and I made a reservation prior to our arrival. We asked could we be seated in the little snug as it was our anniversary, which they were more than happy to accommodate.

Had a lovely meal with family here the other evening. First visit and i am very impressed. Food was amazing and potion size was great. Staff are friendly and attentive. The resturant itself is very original and has some lovely old time features. I would highly reccommend this resturant and i will visit again soon

Went for a meal at Bob Stewarts one random Friday night, I’ll definitely be back! Have a look at their website before going as there are certain rules lol the menu is also on there for a nosey. We were seated immediately and drinks got, we had a wonky table because of the floor tiles, the manager saw this immediately and sorted it out, I have to say he made my night, he is upfront, chatty, straight to the point and so funny! Somewhat charming also! The food was beautiful too and what I would describe as a good feed! On finishing our meal the manager chatted to us and asked if I liked port and cheese, he ended up bringing a (on the house) cheeseboard and some port for me to try, I also think he was topping up my port when I wasn’t looking lol cheeky monkey ! Lol he made my night with his banter and charm! We ended up going into the bar afterwards, rustic, busy, full of life, everyone saying hello! It was my kind of bar. The craic was amazing and everyone was jolly! I will def be back, very enjoyable!

Nice food, ate at 8pm by 9.15 waitress put bill on table even though we had half a bottle of wine left. Then waiter started closing blinds and asked us who was paying the bill. Then waitress started hovering yet there were 3 tables of 4 still in! Very rude, food finished at 9pm so obviously they have your money and want you out.Don't pay £130 to be rushed, wont return .

Called for a drink at this public house with the wife. Decided to have a snack which did not disappoint, chowder & spicy chicken wings. There seems to be a mobile phone culture amoung the serving staff. Service was spot on so no comment on that.

Really enjoyed my visit to Bob Stewart's this afternoon, everything was really good with the chicken wings and cheese board exceptional.

Arrived as Bob Stewarts opened for lunch at 12.15pm, we were given our choice of tables, we decided to sit by the window. They had a lovely warm fire going, there was a lovely atmosphere.

A great pint of Guinness plus an excellent 2 course meal for £17.95 - prawn cocktail plus chicken breast. Very tasty - highly recommended!

Good service and amazing food! Steak was perfectly done, and seafood chowder was like a main with mussels, prawns, and salmon flaked. Can’t ask for more.

went last night on recommendation of a friend. Very busy and nice atmosphere when we arrived so went to bar to have a drink whilst we waited for 4th person to join us. There is a lovely buzz about this characterful Inn. We were shown to our table in a room nextto the bar, quieter and brighter. Staff very friendly. Between us we had 1 steak, 1 chicken fahitas, 1 chicken burger and 1 special, cod and baby boiled spuds. All delicious. clean plates all round. 2 raspberry ruffle cheesecakes and 1 lemon meringue, again all scoffed and general conclusion was great grub. The (I think owner) appeared at our table several times to discharge a few wee jokes in our direction.

I was here last Friday with my partner as a last minute date night. We only found this place on trip-advisor and decided to give it a try. I am so glad I found this place!! Was that good I returned the next night with my mother. With my partner being vegetarian the options he had were better than most places. He gave the veggie fajitas a try and I don’t think there was anything left on his plate. The first night I got the wings for start and the sirloin for main and it was perfect. Second night I ordered fish and chips. The fish was so big I thought free willy was on my plate, but it didn’t stop me scoffing the lot! The owner or head of house is hilarious, he gave us full attention on both nights never having an empty drink in front of me with a side of humour. He is amazing at his job and I can see why this place is doing so well. Can’t wait for the next date night so I can come back.

Acabamos de trasladarnos al área y fuimos a unas cervezas el sábado por la tarde. Ni siquiera sabíamos que había un pequeño bar en la parte delantera de Bobs fue un nuevo descubrimiento para nosotros. Su perro amable, gran ambiente, gran servicio y un personal amable. Sin duda hacer un regular bien la próxima vez y llevar el cachorrito manso.

Tuve un almuerzo con mi amigo Bob Estuardo la semana pasada. Estaba muy concurrido, pero nos dieron una mesa enseguida. Había una gran variedad en el menú, con la opción de tener porciones más pequeñas, que ambos fuimos y era más que adecuado. El servicio era bueno. Out for dinner with the other half and his mum. Beautiful food seafood night i highy recommend, and banter is always great. Followed by a saunter into the bar where us rowdy's go. We were only going in for one as work the next day but as usual the craic was mighty so we stayed sure where else would you get it! Until next time thanks team Bobs :)

My worst half and I have been going to Bob Stewart’s for years and the food has always been delicious.We booked a table for Saturday night so we could try the new gourmet menu and we are glad we did.The food delicious ,staff fantastic and the owner Jackie a gentleman.Lovely experience as always! Stayed a mile and a half down the road for a few days on a tour of NI with my wife, best man, his girlfriend and our dogs. Looking for a dog friendly place, the airbnb we stayed at recommended this place and we were not disappointed. Had dinner in the bar area (they let the dogs in, something we found rather rare in NI) and was made to feel so welcome by the proprietor, barman and the locals in their for a pint. So friendly and hte food was brilliant. The Chowder!!! Liked it so much we went back the next day and had another great experience. We received exactly the same friendly treatment from the staff and the locals. One of the highlights of our holiday!

Had a lovely family lunch here yesterday. The food was fab everything was so fresh. The Sunday lunch menu is exceptional value the Beef and Lamb were particularly good. The special was Rib eye steak was cooked exactly right for me perfect medium. Everyone in our party of 7 thoroughly enjoyed it. Well done to Javkie and is very efficent and friendly staff.

I visited Robert Stewarts yesterday evening with some friends and experienced the worst dining experience of my life. The staff were grumpy and rude with zero customer service skills. 2 of us arrived early and sat down only to be interrupted at our table by a very strange man who was brash and rude. He then joked that we should not mind him as he worked in the restaurant ! When the remainder of our party arrived, 3 of the party of 5 ordered steak and were criticised and lectured by the staff on their choice of how they wanted the steak cooked.At no point throughout the evening did any member of staff smile, say thank you or offer even the slightest piece of customer service. On leaving I asked where the bathrooms were and the lady I spoke to said "on your way out". The whole experience was shocking. How this restaurant expects to attract customers with its rude approach is beyond me. I agree with previous reviewers that the only reason for the high number of 5 star reviews is down to the bribery of an offer of a free meal if you leave a 5 star review. I am leaving 1 star and that is only because trip advisor does not allow a minus score. I look forward to the tirade and unhinged response from Robert Stewarts that other negative reviewers have recieved.
