Somewhere we come back to time and time again. The service and food are exceptional and the staff a total delight. We’d particularly recommend the early bird menu in terms of value. It never disappoints!

Nice resturant, main course are quite expense but they are good. Very delicious dessert if you have a sweet tooth. We had the sticky toffee pudding and I don’t usually like dessert.

Early bird is fantastic value and great food

Our family had a wonderful meat at Tartine last Sunday - Mother's Day. I would really recommend and cannot wait to return. We live in Holywood, but the food that awaits is worth the time.

We were fortunate enough to reserve a table at short notice after another family had cancelled. The food was excellent. I often think the "early bird" menu will be a compromise. That is most definitely not the case at Tartine! The setting was cosy and child friendly, the staff were friendly, and all in all it was a very pleasant experience. And, in my opinion, excellent value.

Thoroughly Recommend. Staying in Bushmills for the weekend and booked a table for 8 in the restaurant. We had never been before and I had never heard of Tartine. Went for the early dining menu which was delicious for all of our party as well as being excellent value at around £25 for 2 courses including wine or beer. Add to this some super friendly staff and you have a top notch restaurant which is well worth a visit. Will be back very soon! Thank you Tartine

Lovely dinner at Tartine! Early dinner menu is an excelent choice with oustanding price for value!. Loved the ambiance, the food (brisket, turkey and sticky toffee). Could not be better!

Eventually got a table here for Sunday lunch a couple of weeks ago. Disappointed with our meal…. The menu reads very well but we discovered it’s a 2 course or 3 course menu, all we wanted was one course. We ordered starters, as neither of us are very keen on desserts. By the time the main course arrived we didn’t have an appetite. I had the “Tranche of Salmon on Baked Seafood Thermidor” in other words a Salmon Fillet on a gloppy sauce with next to no seafood in it! Not what I was expecting. My friend had the lamb and again it was disappointing and not what was expected. We sat in a room which was an appendage of the main dining area mainly by ourselves!, there was a nice fire and the staff were friendly. Finally other customers joined us but by then we were nearly finished. In total it was a disappointing experience.

A superb recommendation by our hotel. We managed to squeeze in here tonight and had a sumptuous dinner. The lamb rump with scallion mash and roasted vegetables was perfection lambified, served with a thick tasty gravy. I had monk fish wrapped in prosciutto sitting atop a creamy risotto with samphire and cute little mushrooms. Very very good, well done chefs for your artistry and creativity with this dish. The pudding was a warm Bakewell tart which was just on the right side of sweet. There was a very nice sounding cheese board available too. Atmosphere was warm and the staff were competent and friendly.

Probably the best restaurant on the North Coast. Great quality food and the most pleasant, attentive and polite waiting staff (congratulations to the delightfully well-mannered waitresses, who clearly take a pride in offering hospitality). Amongst a wide range of dining options, Tartine has quickly become our 'go to' of choice. A gracious and accommodating manager keeps a watchful eye that the highest standards are being maintained. We enjoyed another fabulous Sunday lunch with good friends, seated beside a warming log fire. Thank you, Tartine, for helping to create another memorable occasion. And, of course, compliments to the chef(s)! We will be back.

If there is somewhere better locally for treating yourself to a special and memorable meal I have yet to find it. It's a pity I'm only allowed to award 5 stars because it is worth more than that. Staff are professional and welcoming and the atmosphere in the dining room is relaxed. The early bird menu is a winner for early diners but you can also order off the main menu for a more extensive choice. Without a doubt this is a top notch restaurant as evidenced by the fact that it is quite difficult to get a booking unless you book several weeks ahead.

We visit Tartine each year on our annual pilgrimage to Bushmills and it is always vey good. This time though it exceeded our expectations. Food was excellent, staff fabulous and good value for money. We had Sunday lunch and both blown away with the quality of food and each had glasses of house wines which were generous portions The decor, cleanliness and ambience all excellent.

I have always loved this restaurant and visited many times, however, our last visit was not the usual experience. We were seated at the front of the restaurant which hasn’t got the same atmosphere as the main part of the building. Not a big issue as we were there for the food. I would have preferred not to have had the mussel shells from the previous diner under my feet though. I can’t remember what our starters were (says a lot) but we ordered steak and pork as mains. I didn’t try the steak so wouldn’t be fair to comment but there wasn’t much feed back other than ‘I’ve had better and you couldn’t eat the mushrooms’. The pork was well cooked but the rest of the plate not so much. The black pudding was completely dried out and the cabbage and bacon was very oily, both inedible unfortunately. For the first time we had no dessert. When asked if we enjoyed our meal we said it was just ok, no response from the staff we paid our bill and left. I appreciate views are subjective and maybe because I love Tartine so much it was a sore disappointment.

Had an excellent 3 course Sunday Lunch which was very good value for money. I've eaten here twice now and both times were 👍🏻

Excellent menu with excellent service.

New dishes added to the menu, had the monkfish and wild mushrooms on a risotto. So spoilt for choice as everything on the menu is always 5*. Many thanks to Gary, Paul and the team, exceptional as always.

We walked in and were able to get a table, but I recommend calling ahead in the summer. The early menu was dynamite, service great and we loved the mussels. Great steaks too.

Restaurant was freezing. It was so so noisy I couldn’t hear my husband speaking. Food was laced with salt. Definitely a very poor experience!!!

Great value for early bird dining. It beats the in-town competition hands down! Granted this menu seems to have been more or less static this year and I end up choosing the same main dish (bacon based) but that's a minor gripe. I'd recommend the wine upgrade - so worth it for a small surcharge. Not sure about the vegetarian options though for early birds. Didn't sound very exciting. There's a parking area at the back but if full main street has a large free car park that's not too far a walk.

The food here is absolutely amazing. Honestly one of the best meals I’ve had across multiple continents. You can’t go wrong.

Booked for their early bird at 5:30pm and the restaurant was packed - a good omen for what was to come? Met by a friendly waiter and shown immediately to our table and given a quick list of special and the normal menu. Service was quick and efficient and the staff were helpful but not overpowering. We don’t often have 3 courses but the menu persuaded us! Deep fried Brie and salad followed by salmon and sirloin steak and an Elton mess concoction - all hot and perfectly presented. Absolutely delicious and could not be faulted The bill was £71 including drinks which we regard as very good value considering the quality for the food, the service and the ambience, hence the sizeable tip! Can’t wait until the next time we can in Busmills

We booked dinner for 2 and were not disappointed. For starters we shared a bread platter which was plentiful. the bread was suitably toasted and excellent. I had the pork and my wife had the chicken with a side order of chips. Both meals were cooked to perfection and delicious. My wife had the whiskey cranagh dessert and i had a cheeseboard which was a meal on its own. Service was attentive and the atmosphere good. It was also value for money, definitely recommend it and will visit again

It is hard to get a booking in this restaurant because it’s so popular. We were very lucky to secure a booking at short notice for Sunday lunch (10th September) but 12:15 was the only available time; of course we were just glad there was a free slot. For an early lunch everything was perfect. The staff are lovely - professional and keen to ensure we had everything we needed. There were 4 of us and on Sunday’s there’s a set menu to choose from. 2 of us had prawn/wheaten bread, 1 had Brie and 1 had the pickled pear salad starter - all were fabulous, tasty, fresh and what you’d expect from a good restaurant. For main, 3 Turkey/ham and 1 leg of lamb. The dishes were accompanied by mash, root veg, roast potato, cauliflower cheese and loads of gravy and we were asked if we had enough of everything. We absolutely did and the plates were roasting hot. We all left wishing we’d had that Sticky Toffee Pudding but knowing that that was a dish we’d share some other time when we had some room left to eat it. This is our favourite restaurant on the North Coast.

Birthday meal for my eldest . Unfortunately was a bit disappointing this time , staff I cannot fault at all , it was some of the food . The bread plate was uninspiring, balsamic / pickle /oil - maybe it’s just me it wouldn’t be my choice , perhaps a good quality olive oil /,aololi ? We had the sirloin steak - lovely , the monkfish risotto - lovely , the veggie option burger - resembled bright green playdoh but my daughter said no it’s prob just the avo , she said it had the texture of playdoh , was very salty and unappetising 🤢, the salad was good . The bacon wrapped pork was just too salty so my partner removed the bacon . We ve eaten here several times , and never been disappointed, I can’t recall the other meal had but no negative / positive vibes there . This was my daughters birthday choice and was booked ages in advance , so a little disappointed, so would I rush back - prob not sorry

As usual we had a wonderful meal, there were five of us and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Three of us had the Early Bird and because of this we had to order our dessert upfront. We had to do this a few months ago when we were last here and the same waitress served us: after we had finished our main course a different waitress asked us what we wanted for dessert and we said we had already ordered. The same happed again. Why only for early Bird and why only one waitress. My husband did ask but did not get a response that seemed to make sense. I didn't want to give less than 5 / excellent because it was only a niggle, the food and service is exceptional.

I really cannot fault Tartine! The quality of the food is exceptional and the service and ambience are very good as well. Their 'early bird' menu (two courses and a glass of wine for £25) is also fabulous value for money.

Very disappointed - we had great memories of a visit ‘before covid’ when we had a standout meal, but this was a very different experience. We were startled to be told in stark terms that we had to vacate our table after 1hr45 and this mantra was repeated… but the service on arrival was so slow and ‘your table isn’t ready yet’ but we were put on a side table and never moved so had to ask even for a candle! Felt sidelined then, and the seabass was off so compromised: the monkfish and prawn on risotto was fine and nice but the lamb shank was bland, undercooked so still fatty and slimey, the champ was lumpy and dry, and the ‘jus’ pretty boring; root veg underwhelming and dominated by swede! We shall not return! Sorry….

Excellent food and service as always. Despite being full everything was lovely. From the bar man allowing me to taste the Clonmel Irish Lager before purchasing a pint, which I recommend. Thank you for a wonderful evening celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary

Herausragendes Essen zu fairen Preisen, mit Top Service! Besser geht es nicht, als dass alle am Tisch bedauern, dass wir nur zwei Tage hinter einander dort essen konnten. Für den dritten Tag hatte ich nicht reserviert - und das ist hier absolut notwendig! Besonders empfehlenswert: der Monkfisch mit herausragendem Risotto. Für das wirklich sehr gute Essen sind die Preise von meistens ca. 22 Pfund völlig in Ordnung - und wenn man bedenkt, dass übliche Fish'n'Chips mittlerweile überall ca. 17 Pfund kosten, sind die Preise hier sogar günstig zu nennen. Es gibt genug Parkplätze.

We went to Tartine forva family dinner. The menu has good variety across the three courses. All of us enjoyed every course. In particular, my wife and daughter raved about the monkfish and seafood risotto. Glasses of wine were very reasonably priced. In particular we found the service to be excellent. Not over intrusive, but alert when we needed anything. I would recommend Tartine to everyone.

Without doubt, one of the best meals I have ever had!!! Notwithstanding that the portions are substantial but every course was delicious. However, the real gem of this meal wasn’t the incredible oysters Rockefeller, sublime Irish sirloin or the perfect chranachan but the magnificent Bushmills Whiskey and peppercorn sauce. If they sold this in take away containers, I’d have left with 5L at the very least. Cannot wait to go back and try the scallops…. The Hake…. And the sticky toffee pudding. Plus the staff and service is typically Northern Irish - really friendly and welcoming.

I've had many wonderful meals at Tartine. It's consistently got great service, sublime food and the perfect ambiance. Was there for Sunday lunch in a party of 9. The standards were excellent. Seamless service and fantastic food. I love recommending this place because it's never late et me down.

We were staying at the North Coast for a short break, and were very pleased to get a booking, as had tried on earlier occasions, without success. I hadn't realised the pub was no longer in operation, purely the restaurant. We dined on halloumi salad, duo of pork,together with monkfish, plus a shared chocolate brownie. The food was delicious, beautifully presented and served by very friendly staff. The atmosphere was relaxed and casual, and there were 2 different areas to eat in. I thought the main dining area was probably the better of the two, rather than the one to the rear, which didn't seem to have the same atmosphere. The main entrance hall is slightly confusing, as the kitchen is upstairs and there are storage rooms off the hall, slightly disconcerting on a first visit, but this certainly doesn't detract from the overall experience. Would very much look forward to a return visit.
