Covid !!!No track and trace , no hand gel , filthy toilets , grubby surroundings, Inexperienced staff , chaotic , no control and no expertise driving the team forward Food bland , greasy , Luke warm , cutlery cheap and nasty Dirty glasses Poor selection of products at bar and using hands for ice etc disgusting . Stay away No wander covid is high cases in this area with establishments like this

Was a spontaneous visit for late lunch having had a good walk around Eyemouth, jumped in the car and due to Trip Advisors reviews gave it a go. Wow what a hidden gem. It’s actually part of the golf club house but the views are amazing and well worth the drive with bonus of being able to eat and watch the sea at the same time. Wasn’t the best service and would describe food as typical “pub grub” from a golf club house but it was the views for us

The facilities in the restaurant area needs to be refreshed and modernised up. Nice murals on the walls of surrounding areas etc. Windows grubby with children’s/ adults fingers, toilet floor very sticky and area not pleasant. Food - £ 6.00 for 3 battered mushrooms with garlic dip - come on - very over priced Everything a bit greasy - sea bass / battered haddock. Poached salmon lovely. The young girls providing the waitress service did very well but I’m sure they could do with guidance. The bartender did very well, and could have done with assistance. Appreciate it has been difficult lately but would expect better surroundings, cleaner areas and for no paper menus to be handed out. Would expect hand gel on each table etc. The restaurant has a good reputation but suggest some general house keeping needs to be undertaken soon or a slippery slope for venue may occur.

Amazing view out to sea over golf course and Eyemouth. Owner and staff are really lovely and friendly. We all chose seafood dishes, which were fresh off the boat, beautifully cooked and thoroughly enjoyed. Thankyou for a lovely evening

On holiday near Eyemouth for a week with my family and we went to The Heathers 3 times for dinner, it was that good! Amazing seafood, freshly caught that day - their signature scampi is by far the best we have ever had. Fab Sunday roasts and great puddings. Really friendly service. And it was great that we could bring our Lab with us and enjoy the sea views too. If we lived nearer, we would be regulars!

Saturday lunch, ate different fish options, monkfish scampi was excellent as was the salmon fillet, prawn salad filling and substantial, chicken strips were thoroughly enjoyed too. All staff very welcoming and friendly, spectacular views and would recommend.

Late reservation ended up in a "private dining" area, Staff attentive but not overly so, stunning views over golf course and out to sea, helped by weather.

We booked a table to take my Husband's Grandmother out for lunch, to celebrate her upcoming 90th birthday. Was expecting something special from a golf club.The view from the restaurant is gorgeous, and it's mirrored by some lovely murals on the back wall. A really nice touch. The rest of the decor does feel a bit tired though.Our meals came out promptly and were nice and hot. We did all feel that they were more highstreet cafe level than golf club in terms of quality. My Husband and Father in Law both had the brunch, and commented that the sausages weren't of great quality. My Southern fried chicken strips were alright but nothing special. Mother in Law and Grandmother had the sweet and sour, and sweet chilli chicken with rice, which they both enjoyed.Overall the service was good, portions were good, view fantastic, but the food itself was a bit of a let down. We would come back, but not for a celebration meal.

Lovely food selection with massive portions and incredible view! Prices were fair considering location and Lorna our waitress was very helpful and friendly. There was a mix up with our booking that we did via WhatsApp however Lorna sorted this for us quickly.

Had an excellent family meal here during our holiday . The restaurant was very child friendly . Food was very good and plentiful . Staff were very attentive and efficient . The prices were very reasonable and the views from the restaurant were stunning .

We stayed for a week in Eyemouth, and has 3 meals with George and his team. We had the freshest and tastiest lobster, crabs, scallops and prawns. Dogs allowed in one of the rooms. Great views too.

We found this restaurant online when travelling down the A1 today -and boy were we glad we did!There was a large car park at the golf club and the very clean, down-to-earth restaurant is upstairs there with incredible views over the coast and some great murals painted on the walls. We were made to feel so welcome by everyone, and the fish/seafood was very fresh and beautifully cooked. We tried the scampi, scallops, Cullen skink, halibut and sea bass- no room for pud unfortunately.The service was great too and we will definitely make a point of returning next time. Thank you to all of you!

First visit here for a long time, after lockdown, travel restrictions & everything else. Food was excellent, as always ... two scampi & chips & one ham salad & chips. Scampi is proper FRESH never frozen ... & delicious!! Always good healthy portions here, so I'm not sure how my husband managed to have rhubarb crumble & custard for pudding!! Add to the above - friendly service, gorgeous views & excellent value for money.

We had a lovely meal of halibut with our friend who has not been out for months. The portions were good, the chips delicious.The staff were as lovely as ever especially Tom!It was nice to chat with George and we do hope all will be well for the business.The views over the harbour are wonderful.

The food is excellent value for money. The restaurant is basic, not fine dinning, but wholesome and staff are friendly and down to earth. The view is lovely. The menu always has plenty of choice and my teenage daughter said it was one of the nicest steaks she’d had for a long time, There is always a range of fish and they are happy to serve a half portion for my elderly Mum who doesn’t have much of an appetite.

The Food is was amazing the scampi is fresh from the sea and the views are outstanding.the people are so kind and caring and are always happy to help! The place in general is very clean. I definitely recommend coming here if you would like a place to relax! 5 stars!

4 adults and 3 children under 3 years old had a excellent meal as usual, nothing was to much of a bother for the staff regarding seating arrangements with the kids etc, choice of menu catered for young and old! fish cooked to perfection. Whenever you are in the area would definitely recommend Heathers Restaurant.

Had lobster here and can honestly say it was the best I had ever had .staff so friendly and can't do enough for you .lovely place to have a meal or drink .recommended.

The 6th hole at Eyemouth Golf has a reputation of being one of the finest holes of golf in Scotland.The meal at the 19th hole was unfortunately less fine.This club house restaurant has a reputation for excellent fresh fish dishes, and it does, with the menu supplied from the harbour less that half-a-mile away.However, sadly, when we visited all was not great. The waiter couldn't offer any information or advice regarding the menu. Every question necessitated at trip to the kitchen to find the answer. The care, quality and creativity shown to fish dishes did not translate to a similar experience if you are a vegetarian like me. A starter of egg mayonnaise was exactly that: one hard boiled egg covered with a dollop of off-the-shelf mayo and a handful of mixed salad leaves. No salad dressing and the chef couldn't be bother to add a dusting of paprika or somesuch to the mayo. The main course was an unadventurous nut roast and salad with no dressing was a good as it got.My wife insists that I remark that her fish was excellent.

You cannot better the Heathers restaurant for friendly service and fantastic sea food. Heather, George and their staff makes everything trip to the Heathers a great experience

Always well looked after and the food was top class again with a great menu to pick from. Heathers restaurant is a must if you are in the area.

After a round of golf at Eyemouth G.C. we enjoyed an excellent meal at The Heathers seafood restaurant. Service was prompt and very friendly, and the salmon was superb.

We both had the fish and chips and it was gorgeous. Really good portions and lovely home made coleslaw. Fish was very fresh and could hardly fit on the plate. The big thing for us was we were allowed to take our wee dog in with us and the staff were brilliant with him. Totally recommend.

Excellent amount of fish choices mostly deep fat fried but good wholesome food served with choice of fresh salad or veggies and of course chips . Large portions The view from here was outstanding all over Eyemouth plenty of parking and friendly staff .

Nine of us visited this restaurant after playing in the golf open on the adjacent course. With having a comprehensive choice of fish everyone opted for that and the chosen options include haddock, lemon sole, halibut, scampi, scallops and the lobster. Everything was excellent including the service, banter and value for money!!

Stopped in here for dinner after a day exploring the area. It seems far out when you drive there, but is actually only 5 minutes up the hill from the harbour and the views are fabulous. I had breaded plaice and chips, the other half had the scampi and chips. The quality of the seafood is second to none. Just a shame that we were the only people in, but we were so pleased we went and were welcomed and well looked after. Don't be put off by the fact it's at the golf club.

Winter golf and quality meal. Played 18 holes, course was in fantastic condition considering the amount of rain. Followed by a brilliant meal. Seafood is outstanding, especially the John Dory!

Recently had a Xmas meal in Heathers restaurant, service and food (especially the fresh breaded scampi) was top class would certainly recommend Heathers if you want value for money any day of the week.

Great hospitality and a lovely meal as usual. Christmas dinner was great, others in the group had various fish options and all thoroughly enjoyed it.

We visited this restaurant at the golf course in Eyemouth! We were warmly greeted by lovely staff. Four of us had seafood which was delicious the scampi was excellent please try if you go! The boss came out at end of our meal and spent a few minutes chatting to us wish we had been twice here on our visit to the borders. We could not fault the food or service highly recommend.

Absolutely magnificent seafood platter! So much to choose from. Everything was perfectly cooked and the lobster had arrived in the building at the same time we did - it’s that fresh! 100% recommend for beautiful views, delicious food and friendly service. Can’t wait to come back again.

Visited here yesterday.the food was outstanding. Staff were lovely.The scallop starter was amazing,but the Scampi was the star of the show. Best I have ever eaten.

Visited with my parents and son in October hols. Warmly greeted. Offered fresh scampi sample and we all ended up having that! Also Cullen skunk and prawn starters very tasty! Only downside was we were in a rush as we had to leave by 6 for the current restrictions. Otherwise we'd have been all night!

Ive visited here on a handful of occasions and never been disappointed. Staff lovely. Booked and visited with my hubby this time and hoped he would be impressed. On finding we could not leave our little dog in accommodation It was confirmed that the room we would dine in was dog friendly. Social distancing and all measures in place to ensure confidence in these uncertain times.We enquired about the types of fish on the menu; halibut, hake, plaice, lemon sole, salmon, haddock, john dory for our mains and the chef/owner attended our table to explain the differences and how they would be cooked. So knowledgeable and kind to take time out to do so. For starters we chose the scallops - hubby served with black pudding and mine with garlic butter. Oh wow how plump and tasty, perfectly cooked they were and presented with a side salad and bread/butter. No small portions at this place lol We could not manage a pudding after john dory with potatoes and salad (me) and the halibut with chips and peas (hubby) The flavours of the fish were amazing. A superb choice of sweets on offer both hot and cold... Delightful setting, great staff and food which we would want to come back for again and again. Well done and thank you heaps. Hubby was very impressed and he has eaten out in venues all over the world...

Booked this restaurant based on reviews read and it did not disappoint!! Very well laid out in relation to Covid regulations; very friendly staff and such an extensive menu (> 15 main courses ?) that it was almost impossible to choose!! Oh and the view up the east coast is amazing. I had Cullen Skink and then the freshest Halibut ever - I honestly could just have eaten the fish and ignored the chips and peas!! Absolutely delicious :) Husband had massive scallops for a starter - wow!! And breaded haddock & chips for a main. Totally totally fresh fish - thoroughly recommended.

Fabulous - fresh off the boat- Scampi served last night along with chips and salad. Followed by Hot Cherry Sundae and Strawberry Sundae. Social distancing excellent from all the staff. Highly recommended .

Good food and lovely service! Varied menu, just missed that last homemade steak pie but plenty other choice on menu. Asked if you would like veg or salad with meal which is a nice touch. Good value. Would not hesitate to return.

We have eaten here many times since Heather and George Returned . In all of these times I have never had any reason to grumble about food of staff service . As a coeliac it is comforting to know that I can eat out without the risk of being gluten Ed by cross contamination

Chose to book a table at Heathers Restaurant on the basis of the TripAdvisor comments. Upon first impression, we literally walked into the golf club, and were seated in the restaurant, which has the feel of any clubhouse or social club. The views are braw though.However, the beautiful, careful attention to the prep and cooking of their seafood is amazing. We had scallops and crab for starters, with more scallops and halibut for mains. Absolutely tremendous fish.... Some of the best we've tastedThe decor may not be perfect, but the location, views and food are. The craic with the waitress was top drawer tooIf you love seafood, just go!

We have visited so many times in the last 15 years, each time enjoying superb meals, especially fish dishes, perfect in their simplicity. This year was special as due to Covid 19 restrictions we weren't sure if we would make it. Happily we did,as always the food was top notch, the Staff friendly, happy and smiling, then of course the wonderful scenery who could ask for more? Oh almost forgot, George and Heather. No I didn't, they are too good to forget, a wonderful, hard working couple, always happy, friendly and wanting to please, they are the reason this is such a fantastic Restaurant. This year they have had the added stress that Covid 19 has brought but they have done a wonderful job of making it a very safe environment. As usual we will talk and think abut them often, hoping that we are able to return in 2021. Until then we wish they and their Staff stay safe.

We ate in the Heathers last week and thoroughly enjoyed the scampi and the stunning views. The friendly staff are doing everything to make you feel that you are in a very safe environment. Would definitely recommend.

We have just arrived back from Eyemouth after a lovely break. We ate at Heathers and can’t recommend it highly enough. The food was all homemade and the standard was excellent. A special mention to Lorna who was fabulous and enhanced our experience with her attentiveness, nothing was too much trouble. We can recommend the crab salad(definitely no shell) and scallops with black pudding starters both were delicious and the scampi which was succulent and plentiful. Due to current Covid restrictions the restaurant appeared very basic however that didn’t put us off or effect our experience at all. All Covid precautions are taken care off. With panoramic views this is a perfect place for a special meal. We will definitely be back!! Many thanks

If you want to eat fresh fish cooked very well and with friendly people and great food you can’t beat The Heather ms restuarant In Eyemouth. Extremely tasty, lots to eat and George and the girls make you feel right at home. Great views for miles only add to the experience.And you must try the scampi !We would recommend you take in a meal if you are in the area.

Have read the reviews with disbelief as our experience was unfortunately very different. Ripped up cardboard keeping doors open was not a reassuring or welcoming sign. The Cullen Skink was wrongly named as it was more like leek and potato soup with a small piece of fish. The scallops were over cooked and the black pudding dry. The seabass was tasteless and the 3 potatoes accompanied by vegetables were way over cooked. The haddock was good but the batter was awful with way too much flour making it very heavy and soggy. The views are lovely and the staff were polite, the furniture makes the place look like a cafe than a restaurant.

What an excellent place. Overlooking the sea we had fantastic views and in the distance we could watch the local football team training, a dredger working in the harbour and as a bonus we saw dolphins jumping in the bay. If that wasn’t enough the food was absolutely first class - Cullen skink followed by scampi fresh off the local boat. Service was friendly, charming and efficient. COVID precautions were excellent. Can not recommend highly enough.

Food was amazing and really decent portion size . The chef sent us out a taster of scampi which was a nice touch and delicious.The decor is a bit tired and basic though we were made to feel welcome and relaxed .Staff lovely and working well with covid.Great for kids not a stuffy restaurant and good choice of kids meals.Would definitely visit again.

The restaurant is situated with the most amazing views. The dining area is spacious and this resulted in us feeling safe with regards to social distancing.The food was amazing and chef prepared the most delicious seafood platter especially for us (although not on the menu).The staff are very friendly and welcoming and made us feel very welcomed.Highly recommended by the whole family.

Visited for late lunch/ early dinner with friends . First thing we were delighted to see was plenty of hygiene stations and that the staff took contact details for Covid tracing . The tables were set a good distance apart and the set up is another table is placed in front of your table and your cutlery , drinks, food order etc are placed there for you to pick up . The staff are stringent about practising the social distancing measures. The food is fantastic. Currently a limited menu which is understandable but a little disappointing as I had already picked my lunch in my head from looking at the online menu !! BUT we were certainly not disappointed in any way with our chosen starters and mains . Heavy on fish dishes as expected from a seafood restaurant but boy was the food fresh and cracking standard .Real scampi rather than the mushy stuff you normally get . Fabulous king prawns cooked to perfection . The salmon and haddock were exquisite. The restaurant itself isn’t posh but that is more than made up for by the beautiful sea views in every direction from floor to ceiling windows .I can’t wait until our next trip to eyemouth in September and will definitely be visiting Heathers - hopefully the full menu might be available by then .

Visited the Heathers while on holiday in Eyemouth. Served tempura prawns to start, then mains grilled salmon and halibut followed by apple pie and custard.The staff were friendly and helpful, the whole atmosphere was relaxing with great views of the coastline.The experience was that good that we decided to return for Sunday dinner. Yet again we wasn't disappointed and serviced amazing home cooked food with generous portions ( the bread and butter pudding was to die for). Really good value for money,we definitely ended a high.

My partner and I had a lovely evening at The Heathers on Tuesday. Huge windows meant we could watch the sea mist roll in whilst enjoying good quality food. Would recommend the Cullen Skink and tempura prawns as starters. For mains, we both had generous portions of tasty, well cooked fresh fish- I had halibut and my partner had poached salmon. We were also both given a small portion of scampi to try. It was delicious; lightly breadcrumbed - crisp on the outside coating the sweet, soft langoustine inside. If we were to return, we would definitely choose the scampi as our main dish. The lemon meringue pie (made by the chef’s wife) was also a winner - sounds corny but it tasted just like the pies my mum used to make; a perfect balance between the tart lemon base and the crispy sweet meringue topping. The service at the restaurant was excellent; friendly, attentive staff who obviously had a good understanding of Covid safety issues. We even got to meet the chef! Being the last to leave, we were lucky enough to have a chance to chat with him and even luckier to be given a very generous sample of his home smoked salmon to take away and try. It was delicious. We would highly recommend The Heathers.

Fantastic seafood At first we were a little nervous about trying this place as it is part on the attached golf course. Wow, I had the battered lemon sole and my son, the battered cod. Both of these dishes had two fillets of fresh fish each and portions are not the faint hearted! My wife and daughter both had the salmon and both agreed that this was divine. A cracking place at fair prices but I cannot vouch for the staters thankfully or a pudding as we were all completely stuffed!

We went for lunch at The Heathers Restaurant and found everything to be excellent!The views from the restaurant are spectacular and the service is fast efficient and courteous. The food is prepared to a very high standard from locally sourced fresh ingredients and their scallops with black pudding are well worth travelling for. As is their portion of poached salmon they served which was more than ample and cooked to perfection.Their prices represent exceptionally good value and looking out from the panoramic windows over the golf course and breathtaking surrounding countryside to the sea made for an overall great eating out experience!

We went here tonight for our wedding anniversary 13/8/20, on hols in Coldingham, what a treat the food was, from the crab starter, to the scampi (best and freshest we have ever tasted), halibut main meal, plenty of attention from the waiting on staff who were super cautious around the protocols required for Covid - so we all felt very safe here there we 7 of us from 69years down to 6 years old. Worth a visit, as the food is excellent and you will not be disappointed!

Are here twice last week.. excellent local seafood at a very good price. Prepared and breaded on site, fresh from the local markets. Friendly service in a Covid safe environment good spacing between tables. Superb panoramic views over Golf course and St.Abbs head and Eyemouth

Just enjoyed another delicious meal at The Heathers in Eyemouth. Greta selection of fresh seafood, a view to die for and lots of social distancing (tables spaces much more than 2 metres apart, hand sanitiser etc). Get yourself down there. We had Sea Bass, lobster salad, scampi and steak. All very good value!

Having heard great reviews about this restaurant we decided to go for dinner. What a disaster. My husband ordered tempura prawns which were nice and I ordered the crab cocktail as a starter. It looked nice when it came but after a few bites I found a piece of shell, thought it was only one but then found more. What finished it was a took a mouthful and something really hard cracked against my tooth. We didn’t even stay to have our man courses. When the waitress came back to apologise she said they bought the crab in like that. I thought they advertised fresh fish for the restaurant not bought in for cocktails. Really disappointing, goodness knows what I have been eating and just about broke tooth. Never again.

Dropped in here just to check out the golf availability and were invited up to the lounge for a coffee...decided to try out the food and have lunch....A lovely welcome and seat by the window from where we could watch the sea and the golf course and players. Loved it. Weren't sure of trying out the fish due to anticipated problems of freshly delivered catches so plumped for the macaroni cheese and apple crumble.Both were piping hot and tasty..but while we were waiting the waitress brought through an amuse bouche of scampy prepared and cooked fresh as she was quite enthusiastic about the fish straight out of the ocean....always use fresh never frozen.She wasn't wrong....they were delicious and juicy with a fine coating of homemade breadcrumbs.....wish we had gone for the fish....not disappointed in the least but we will return. The golf looked great as well.

Called in here because my wife is called Heather and we couldn’t resist. We had Scampi and Cullen Skink. Restaurant is very Covid Secure and the service was excellent. Couldn’t fault the staff and had a quick chat with the owner/chef before we left. He has promised us bonus Scampi when we next visit. Highly recommended.

We recently dined here as a family of 6 and highly recommend this restaurant. The service was friendly and professional and the food was excellent. The views from the restaurant are spectacular and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. It was great to see how well the staff were prepared for the Covid situation and every precaution was taken to ensure our safety but also our comfort and enjoyment! Thank you and well done!

Our second visit post lock-down. Felt very safe ; well organised system to keep diners and staff safe. We particularly liked the way they had set up the tables with an extra table to allow staff to serve you and still maintain social distancing. As always staff were helpful and polite. The food did not disappoint either, lovely lemon sole and a really tasty mixed fish platter, topped off with a stunning view over the golf course and the sea.

My first visit to The Heathers after lockdown. Naturally, I was a little nervous - I needn’t have been. Every precaution had been taken; in fact George, Heather and all the staff go above and beyond the Covid recommendations: pristinely clean, social distancing observed and hand sanitizers everywhere. And of course the same warm welcome and fabulous food. Fish and seafood have always been unbeatable at The Heathers and today was no exception: delicious halibut, mouth-watering cod and the best scampi in Scotland. Booked up straight away for our next visit feeling very reassured and extremely satisfied.

Usual friendly greeting, with quality service and great food. Made to feel very safe with all safety precautions in place due to COVID. Can’t beat the place....

Had a meal with a few frieds here just after reopening. Felt really safe as plenty room and well thought out distancing. Lovely friendly atmosphere and the food was fabulous, highly recommended, lovely relaxing safe meal. 10/10

Played the course 100's of times due to the bad bout of weather we have had recently,it's the worse condition I've seen the course in,under foot condition very wet greens super as usual. Enough about the course,now onto the catering, I've known George for a very long time due to playing the course over a number of years, I've been reading some of the reviews and was amazed at the bad reviews.we had breakfast before the competition,and dinner after competition and can say the food is first class, being a chef myself I appreciate good food and George certainly dishes up good food. Keep rattling the pots and pans bro

This restaurant had been recommended to me by a friend. I went there with my guest on a Sunday and we were very disappointed. She had battered cod, which was good but her vegetables: peas, broccoli and carrots were cold or lukewarm; the chips seemed to have been reheated.I explained to the waitress that I was allergic to brassicas and I explained 'for example, cabbage, broccoli, spinach, cauliflower and so on - your chef will know the others too.'She was adamant that there was none of that in the salad, so I ordered battered haddock and salad. Our plates arrived and we began eating. There was a white creamy something next to the salad and I assumed it was potato salad but my guest wasn't so sure. She took a forkful; a lucky escape for me; it was coleslaw (containing cabbage). My guest took the coleslaw onto her plate.I was annoyed, for all the staff knew or cared, I could have died.My haddock was undercooked and tasteless.We won't we going back there. Cost £25 excluding tip.If you don't mind awful food, it has a nice view over the golf course and the distant harbour.

We were meeting our daughter at Eyemouth today and decided to have lunch here. What a great find. Really excellent food, fantastic views of the coastline, helpful staff and good service. The owner recognised us as new customers and insisted we try some scampi before we ordered from the menu. It was the best I have tasted. They were happy to serve half portions too which suited me well. If you like fish you will not be disappointed. Our grandson loved the homemade sticky toffee pudding. We will be back.

Lovely views of Eyemouth harbour and golf course. Service was good. Food was good and nice sized portions. Very nice fresh seafood, of course. Very easy access for a wheelchair.

Visited on a Sunday and the beef Sunday lunch was average at best. I had haddock and chips which was 2 massive battered portions but unfortunately the fish didn't really taste of anything and the batter was too thick. Chips were OK. Views were good and the mural was well done. Pensioners definitely seem to love the place.

The owner is passionate about his food. Especially the fish dishes. Prawns sourced from the harbour. Fish is fresh and best quality.

First class meal and service I would highly recommend a visit. This was a family birthday meal for 19 and will definitely be returning. Lovely sea view setting

Just had another fantastic meal at Heathers Restaurant in Eyemouth.We were told about this eaterie nearly 8 years ago and enjoyed the experience so much have been going regularly since then. All the way from Hawick I hear you say It is so worth it. Meals are delicious and all freshly cooked. All the staff are friendly and can't do enough for you. Nothing is a problem to them. George "HEID man "is an excellent Chef and always comes from kitchen to make sure you have enjoyed yourselves.The personal touch.Not only the best food,best service but also the best views looking out over Eyemouth harbour.I can not recommend this eaterie enough.Please give this place a try you won't be disappointed.Don't forget to say Hi to George.

Not normally a Seafood lover, but decided following a recommendation to give the Place a try. Situated above the Golf Club House with ample free parking.It's clear from the Menu that this Restaurant specialise s in Seafood. Staff were very friendly and ascertained it was our first visit. We were still mulling over the menu when we were offered a a small taster sample of Scampi that had only been delivered earlier that day.I can honestly say, I have never tasted such good Scampi. My Wife agreed and both of us ordered Scampi.It was an outstanding meal. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommended. The Sweet was equally delicious. Great Restaurant 5/5 . Will definitely be back.

Myself and my husband had visited Eyemouth for a short holiday and we were looking for a fish restaurant. We found The Heathers Restaurant and was an absolutely delightful restaurant with fresh seafood beautifully cooked. The owner is a lovely person. He spent time with us and he told us the history of the place. All the staff were very nice and helpful. I highly recommend this place. And I will happily come back.

My wife and I payed Heathers restaurant a visit and had an amazing lunch. I ordered scallops and black pudding which was delicious. For the main I had the grilled halibut which I found out later the fish came out of the local sea the day before.

Visited today for the first time and would thoroughly recommend. Received the warmest of welcomes and enjoyed the freshest of seafood- everything was lovely! The menu is varied (including a large selection of specials) and portions are hearty. The views are also stunning. Compliments to all!

Heathers was recommended to us as a good place to enjoy seafood, and it certainly didn't disappoint. We enjoyed our meals very much and lingered afterwards enjoying the views of Eyemouth harbour and a good pot of tea. The service was excellent, too.

A wonderful restaurant with amazing views over the sea and down to Eyemouth harbour because it's on the first floor of Eyemouth Golf Club. The menu offers a wide range of foods but especially if you like fish. We were given a complementary taste of scampi while we were deciding what to order. They were the best. And all provided by excellent staff. Will definitely be back.

We visited earlier today. We arrived in a motorhome and whilst my husband played golf on the beautiful golf course I sat in the Heathers Restaurant and had a bacon roll and cappuccino. I received a very friendly welcome and the bacon roll and coffee were excellent. The setting is amazing and the views over the golf course and out to sea are spectacular. When my husband had finished his round we decided to have lunch. There was an extensive menu from snacks to a three course lunch. We chose prawn cocktail and crayfish cocktail, battered and breaded haddock and my husband had three delicious flavours of ice cream including blackcurrant & clotted cream ice cream. I was full but the homemade puddings and desserts looked wonderful. The fish we had was so fresh and well cooked. Everything was just perfect and we received excellent friendly service. I don’t do many reviews but felt compelled because this was so nice. Non golfers don’t be put off - you don’t have to be a golfer to enjoy this place. The portions were pretty big and I felt excellent value for money. We received a sample of the fresh scampi from the manager - to die for!

The Heathers restaurant,eyemouth golf course,myself & 2 friends i had the cod my friends,scampi & lasagne absolutely delicious,2 pints & a soft drink all for under £40, brilliant,try it you will not b disappointed.5* cooking,service & friendliness.

We visited The Heather on sunday night and the food was amazing. The type of food we used to get in good restaurants before most food started to be cooked in advance and frozen.We were treated to a complimentary sample of the scampi because we hadn't been before,just to try,and it is the best scampi we have ever tasted....lightly coated instead of buried in batter. The scallops were amazing as were the Cullen skink, lemon sole and rack of lamb....everything was so fresh and delicious.After dessert which we shared,as we were so full,a liquer went down a treat,a great way to finish off a great meal.

We visited The Heathers restaurant while staying at a nearby BNB. It was a great choice, while the initial entrance didn’t look inspiring the staff were friendly and helpful and the food very nice. The location is in the golf course and has amazing views of the harbour.

We have been to Eyemouth 3-4 times and initially we always ate at the Golf Club restaurant (which is now called Heathers) as the food was exceptional but during this time it was taking over by the Golf Club and the People who ran it George and Heather were no longer required and the restaurant went from bad to worse. Now they are back in charge again and the food is excellent again. I recommend any one passing on the A1 to stop and have lunch or dinner. It is open from 10am to 8pm

A superb restaurant that we found only by chance on the internet, went mainly for the view over Eyemouth & what a bonus we got with the food, everything was fresh, well presented . The staff were so friendly & the owners are lovely, we were staying in Eyemouth & went several times with our Scottish family & friends who visited us during our stay, needless to say , the food, the views, the staff went above & beyond.

Really friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and amazing views over the coast! The best scampi we’ve ever tasted, hot from the kitchen. Will definitely make a return visit!

Party of 4 visited this restaurant at Eyemouth Golf Clubhouse travelling back from Berwick to Haddington. We were very glad we dropped in for dinner. Excellent, fresh fish dishes and a wide choice of items on the menu. Cullen Skink soup was superb - full of fish and very tasty! Fried haddock, breadcrumb sole were very tasty as was a salad and a risotto dish. We enjoyed the meal so much that we travelled back down from Haddington 2 days later to have another dinner and we were not disappointed. The prawn cocktails for starters were excellent as was the tomato soup. The scampi was outstanding, the fish dish was so fresh and the pork and beef meals melted in the mouth. Good range of tasty sweets too! Well worth travelling to and if our 2 dinner experiences are anything to go by, it will be a very odd customer who is not well satisfied. Thanks to George and Heather and all the serving staff for great meals and service!

We have made numerous visits to this fantastic Restaurant, every meal has been faultless. The freshness of the fish cannot be bettered anywhere and we have dined in many Seafood Restaurants both here and abroad. It is also simply but perfectly cooked, requiring no fancy sauces to enhance flavor Only a small kitchen but George, Heather and staff perform miracles.The Restaurant Staff are always efficient but also lovely and friendly. All this and then the views to die for through lovely picture windows.I could eulogise about this wonderful place ad nauseam. All I hope that it isn't too long before we cross the Border to once again enjoy all this lovely food, laugh and chat with George and Heather, two very kind hearted people who work so hard. A huge thank you to Joanne,Lorna and Kerriwho always provided service with a smile.We're missing you all.
