Nice place was there with my grandchildren and their friends and they all loved it which is the main thing in my mind,very tight parking and moving the car when it's busy

Not open at 7:30pm on a Saturday night, despite what Google says. Have been here before though and the food was great (when it decides to open).

We booked a table for 6 and visited here for Sunday lunch. When we arrived we were told there was a slight delay as they had been let down by a staff member. We had drinks and waited to be seated which wasn’t too long. Once seated the staff were very helpful and friendly. Our lunch was soon with us and all I can say is Well Worth the short wait we had. All the meats were cooked perfectly as was the vegetables which there were plenty of, lovely gravy and again the staff couldn’t do any more for us. Very nice surroundings and excellent staff. We have been here many times for Sunday lunch and have always enjoyed. But today was the worst experience ever. We arrived as the first people there and told there was a 20-25min delay which was fine. We went to the conservatory and We were greeted with about 10 flies. We Informed the bar staff who said there was nowhere else to.sit so he would use fly spray. He sprayed the room so we sat outside and returned after 10 mins. When we returned all dead flies all over the floor and also the window sills had about 30 or more dead flies along them which is not very appealing while sitting having lunch. Also there was half eaten food all over the floor from possibly the night before and good job we didn't have the baby with us as the high chair was absolutely disgusting still covered in rice and left over food from previous meals. Whilst eating flies dropped into.my sons coke and then one fell.into my sisters Sunday lunch and also found 3 separate hairs in 3 of the meals which ended up.being an hour and a half late. We were so disgusted at this point we couldn't wait to get out of there. The only apology we had was for the delay in the time the food took nothing about the state of the room we were put in to eat it. Cant see us returning after this visit which is a shame

We were staying at a local property for the week and were advised to book in advance. So we did. The Kings Arms did not disappoint. A good welcome, some friendly locals (and if locals are ordering food you know it’s good)! Dogs welcome in the bar area. Menu has all the pub classics as well as some intriguing and far ranging, international specialities.Honestly couldn’t fault the food and other customers were of the same opinion. The chef’s rightly proud of what comes out of the kitchen. The Panamanian Beef Steak Picado is almost worthy of its own review. All in all, an excellent evening.

Stunning little village pub! Camped just down the road, 11 of us had food....It was stunning !!! Highly recommended !

Beautiful, traditional pub serving fantastic Sunday roasts. They welcomed our large party (booked in the day before), including several noisy children, with great hospitality. All that were missing were some felt tip pens to keep the little ones occupied- plain white paper placemats were provided! Thank you for accomodating us 😊

I took my wife for an evening meal on her Birthday. We have been in Carmarthenshire for four days, so decided to finish our holiday with a nice meal. We were not disappointed. We had beef bourguignon and it was terrific, we then had the desserts mini chocolate eclairs and the apple pie and custard once again they were both wonderful. The staff were brilliant and we both felt welcomed and we both enjoyed the hospitality of the pub and staff.

We booked a meal for 8 people. The food was lovely, especially the puddings. The atmosphere was good and the food was hot and well presented. There is a car park to the rear. Easy to get to. Very happy!

What an amazing pub. First time we have visited. Google pubs near to Pembrey and this pub came up. I rang and booked a table last night. Adviseable to book in advance. This pub did not disapoint. Very busy but bar staff,kitchen staff and waitress were amazing. Couldn't do enough for you. Sunday dinner was excellent. Plenty of it and the nicest dinner I've ever had. We had take away dessert. Thanks you all at the Kings arms you are doing an awesome job. We will return.

Best night we've had in a long time! Our first night out without children in tow for almost 2 years and we couldn't have picked a better place. Such a beautiful pub and the food was amazing! Will definitely be returning.

Wonderful atmosphere, excellent food, and the proprietor was charming. Also, the building is very old and intriguing. Looking out over the old church with its graveyard of crooked stones, and dining between these ancient walls, you realize that you are but a link in a chain. The story of humankind. We construct these notions of success and failure in our lives, but having dinner in The Kings Arms makes all that seem so small and futile. A good time is all that is left in the light of something that is so much bigger than us - generations, people and kingdoms that rise and fall - what is left in the end? A juicy piece of smoked salmon and some good company. Loving, grieving, celebrating, drinking and eating: an absolutely humbling experience. Also, the wines are great.

Stayed not far from the Kings for our family holiday. Decided to go for a meal on our last night. Must say it was fabulous! Was able to take our two dogs which was ideal as we couldn’t leave them alone. Best macaroni cheese ever!! Highly recommend, however all of my family were very pleased with their meal. Would definitely come again. Thank you!

We had rented a cottage about 10 mins walk from the Kings Arms and thought we would give it a try after reading excellent reviews. It is a cosy, traditional village pub serving delicious food and good ale with friendly, helpful staff. Nothing is too much trouble. We visited last weekend for Sunday lunch which was hot, fresh and tasty. The portions were large! It was so good we visited again tonight (Thursday). A much quieter night with only a few locals in but, the meal was excellent again leaving us both more than satisfied. Highly recommended!

What a super pub this is. We camped nearby in an equally excellent campsite. When we all walked in the staff could not do enough for us, including the manager Mike who also helped us out with a bike repair issue. The food was first clsss and was served efficiently by the waitresses. We went in every night, even had a sing song around the piano one night including the staff. 5 star pub. We will definately be back there again, without a doubt.

Very average. Sunday lunch wasn’t the best, food was basic and only warm. Staff were all very young and didn’t seem to have much idea, my boyfriend asked for a larger and they didn’t know the difference when he asked which ones were available. No one checked back on how the food was and it seemed too busy for the staff to cope.

Lovely little pub. We visited with family and friends whilst on holiday in the area. They have a fantastic selection for gluten free, vegan and vegetarians. The food is excellent with great service and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning. A real hidden gem!

We booked here after reading the reviews and we were not disappointed, our friend accompanied my children and I and we had 3 fussy eaters out of 4 and all loved the sunday lunch we had! The desserts were delicious and the roast and veg were very plentiful and all yummy. The staff are wonderful, very friendly and kind, the place was packed but I'm not surprised as it was such amazing value for money. We will definitely try to come back as my husband and friends daughter want to come now too! 😂 Thank you again.

Went on the off chance as read about it in the lodge we were staying in. It may be out of way a little but was worth the find. Very warm welcome by Staff and the locals. Food was delicious and plentiful which was all freshly cooked. Will go back if in the area in the future.

We had intended to go somewhere else for lunch, but found that it was closed. Googling the area, we came across the Kings Arms and noticed that it had lots of great reviews. It was fully booked ( not surprisingly) but we were lucky that there had been a cancellation. The manager was wonderful and welcomed us in. The building is one of those beautiful old pubs with stone walls and real old beam ceilings. There was a large collection of milk jugs hanging from the ceiling and we noticed that all of them were immaculately cleaned and dusted! The restaurant was serving Sunday lunch with a choice of beef, lamb or chicken. We had one beef and one lamb. They were absolutely superb! Tender meat, lots of it, lots of perfectly cooked vegetables, Yorkshire puddings, and the manager even brought us extra gravy! Unfortunately we were too full for desserts as these looked delicious too! Highly recommended and we will definitely return!

Enjoyed our meal here. The landlord was welcoming and staff were great. It was nice to see something other than standard pub fare. We get tired of burgers and fish and chips! My husband particularly enjoyed the Nigerian suya, which, the landlord explained, was inspired by a dish he loved whilst living in Nigeria. I had a Russian stroganoff, which was really tasty. The desert wasn't such a hit - a strawberry and white chocolate cheesecake that was just too sweet and gelatinous. Arguably we had been spoilt by the mains though! We'd certainly go back and would recommend it to others.

Well worth a visit. Fantastic food 3 different steaks all cooked spot on as ordered. Their own steak sauce also delicious even down to the tomato cooked properly. Wish we had found this place sooner as we go home on Friday.
