Very good food and attentive staff. It was also spotlessly clean which was welcomed as so many pubs we’d visited it the area weren’t.

That was just the best lamb I’ve got in a very long time. A nice restaurant with an interesting menu. Very friendly service.

Fantastic food and brilliant service.Came here for a meal with my wife,Aunt and her partner and it was a great evening.The staff couldn’t do enough for us.I highly recommend the Sea bass, it was very very tasty and cooked to perfection. Just come back from a most fabulous lunch here; gastronomically, nutritionally and aesthetically the best assemblage of ingredients you could wish for. The pie was a 'proper' pie with full shortcrust pastry and the desserts were all home made-what a bonus and something of an increasingly rare trend we find. Well done team.

Amazing!! We were away for Xmas and decided to do Sunday lunch, which neither myself or my partner (who is an exec chef) were excited about. I cannot remember the last time I had a roast dinner out that I was impressed by- this is it! I opted for the vegetarian option, my partner and kids had the meat. AMAZING! cauliflower cheese, the seasoned veg, honestly hidden gem! Don’t judge the outside it’s incredible!

The unassuming exterior belies the lid gem of a pub/ restaurant. Both service and food presentation served was outstanding as always. Six of us dined on the a la carte menu on a Thursday- complimentary focaccia served with marmite butter , we all enjoyed our mains , hake and lamb served pink no room for pudding . I particularly enjoyed an exceptional Viognier wine at a reasonable price Only one complaint … I wish it was my local :-) Many thanks and definitely hope to visit again soon

We had the best Sunday Lunch I have ever had out in any restaurant. There was plenty of everything including gravy. I would definitely recommend eating at this place.

Sunday lunch with visiting family. The food wasn’t as quite good as I remember from last year and our table of 3 seemed to be served exactly the same quantity of vegetables as an adjoining table of 2. Only one serving spoon for the vegetables really wasn’t sufficient. The service was ok but lacking in any friendliness or warmth. None of the waitresses even managed a smile at any point during our visit. We have dined twice in the past month and I’m not sure I will be rushing back.

From the outside you would not expect the standard of food received. We went due to recommendation on the campsite and would certainly recommend to others. Not cheap but value for money.
