Best Ice cream in County Down, we have been going here for many years and hope to keep going for many more.

Simplistic but great! Cannot beat a Timoneys for a treat. Good range of flavoured syrups and toppings on their fab vanilla. Don't need any other flavours when you have Timoneys!

When I asked for marshmallows I expected a mere sprinkling of a few, only to receive a cone absolutely covered in them as well as sprinkles and with chocolate sauce at the top. Best. Ice cream cone. Ever.

The Gold standard of Ice-cream! Using Timoneys as my gauge 9.5, and rate all other ice-creams against it. I've ate ice-cream from all parts of the country and Timoneys is the best! Superb milkshakes too and the friendliest of staff! My favourite!!

This is thee best ice-cream parlour and my all time favourite. A family owned business with an authentic Italian ice-cream recipe dating way back and lovingly continued by the present family to this day. I dream about eating this ice-cream, as it is a genuine taste of Italy and it is delicious. If there was a business premises that I would wish to be locked into overnight, it would be Timoney's Ice-cream! Do not take my word for it, you have to try it for yourself and you will be happy you did!

It's just ok. Good for soft ice cream and they have a good presentation, but it could be better. Compared to a normal 99, it is better, but compared to the ice cream around the world, just ok

I love there ice-cream but the only thing is when they ask u do u want sauce on the ice cream I would them to put the white sauce on the bottom of the tub and then put the ice-cream in and then put lots of white sauce on top of the ice cream it would make it nice I am all ways in getting ice cream from timoneys my brother knows the fella who owns it tubs are bare better than the connes

Would give it a lot higher score if it had more than just vanilla ice cream, and only in tubs. Very poor, restricting themselves instead of refining themselves.

Great local produce from a lovely family buisness. Iconic Newry landmark and very hard to drive up Canal St without stopping. Fresh ice cream service with a smile and a bit of craic. Super selection of sweets sold by the quarter pound. Open Christmas morning so perfect with the Christmas pudding.

Thankful this place took Euro....Bonus! I wasn’t loving that the Ice Cream flavour option was very limited to vanilla, however it was delicious and the honeycomb toppings really hit the sweet spot 👌🏼

Top quality homemade ice cream! If you're passing Timoneys it's almost impossible not to stop in for a cone. People are usually very surprised when they find out that there is only vanilla flavour available here but it's not to be missed! The prices are very reasonable as well for the quality.

When travelling to Newry, Co Down a visit to Timoney's Ice Cream is a must! It is homemade, a family recipe that is NOT on offer to anyone. It lends itself to the most smooth, velvet taste of naturalness yet has a biting cool flavour. You won't get a multitude of ice cream flavours, rather their simple plain vanilla which you can add topping to. Don't take my word for it...try it and see 👌

The ice cream here is without question the best in NI. The staff are pleasant,even when under pressure. I remember being sent here in the 1960s every Sunday for "sliders", our children and now grandchildren still look forward to visiting us and having a sundae.

Great place, always packed, but fast service considering

Ice cream is good but expensive. Bought one large tub and four £2 tubs all with sauce and chocolate sprinkles, all for £15.00 only to find they forgot the sprinkles when we got home, disappointed but it wasn't worth the 10 mile round trip. I was surprised that not one staff member wore gloves, all served Ice cream in cones, handled cash and straight back to serving cone's. Glad I had ordered tubs!

I had a small cone of vanilla with chocolate topping, and it was good but nothing out of the ordinary. There's also a Timoneys in nearby Warrenpoint that only offered vanilla, which surprised me. This branch had more of a flavor selection.

Timoneys and Prices Ices have the same / similar recipe for the base icecream. Prices do lovely flavours and Timoneys still does only the original plain icecream. A family favourite in our house. The milk shakes are gorgeous

Timoney's has perfected the art of ice cream making. It's difficult to resist when driving through any of their locations, as it's not overpriced and is worth every penny!

The ice cream is amazing and homemade! Lots of different toppings to choose from and the whole shop is very cute and very vintage looking. Apparently the milkshakes are amazing as well.

Ice cream milk shakes and old style treats. Started going to timoneys when I was a little girl and it's still not changed! Great ice cream and a large selection of sweets that you pay by weight. I remember in my school girl days asking for mixed Bon bons to the value of 20p and they would do it for you.

Timoney's ice cream parlour is a must after shopping in Newry. Hidden away on Canal Street afficionados find their way there! The queue for ice cream may consist of a mum, dad or grandparent with toddlers, a couple of older school children who have just been let out of school, a business man in his smart suit and a couple of glamorous young women. Timoneys only serves Vanilla ice cream - but who would want anything else? You can add a variety of toppings and sauces but frankly they are not needed. Even though I love ice cream I have now reached the stage when most other brands taste synthetic and unpleasant. Timoney's is creamy and smooth and tastes like ice cream used to taste!

There are very few places now where you can go to get authentic Italian ice cream. Timonys was on the go over 50 years ago when I was a young child and it has stayed true to its roots. Always busy and parking can be tricky.

This is by far the best ice cream around. There is a good choice of toppings to add though the ice cream is just as good plain. Staff are always smiling and friendly. The shop is very clean an bright. It is always the first stop when my cousins are here from u.s.a. Highly recommend it

When we were trying to find somewhere to eat yesterday we passed this ice cream parlor and wondered what all the fuss was about? After dinner we found out ! The ice cream is as the receipt says a secret. It was so light and tasty.
