A lovely meal out with friends. I should have thought to ask for salad with no dressing but apart from that, it was great food and the staff were very attentive.

First time on Mothers Day so very busy as expected but also really good service and beautiful food. Very similar to our favourite restaurants in Las Americas in Tenerife (crispy coated squid, garlic bread, meatballs shared starters). We all tasted some of each others main too as usual and it was as good as any restaurants I've ever been to (zio dirty pizza etc very tasty and well presented) Also had mixture of dessert, Belgiun chocolate cake with ice cream and lovely latte with oat milk. Definitely be back soon. Phenomenal.

Wow! What an experience in Portadown! Stunning food in what feels like a chic American-style diner, filled with retro-European art and ads - coolness plus plus!! First visit, of many, we hope!

Service so slow..other guests beside us left for the same reason waiting to long in between each course.

Book in advance as become very popular restaurant in a recent months, as well staf is extraordinary and will give you some memories to rememberer

This restaurant and it's staff is well worth the five star rating.We were a party of four and all had something different to eat e.g. the beef blade a pasta dish and the pizza and all of the above were of excellent quality both in taste and presentation. Thanks for a wonderful meal Zio,s.

Great menu selection and all very reasonable priced given the size! Desserts were all gorgeous but possibly a little sickly just due to the size, couldn’t finish them. The staff were very attentive and friendly, despite how busy it was for a mid week evening. Even though they still use dividers, from covid times? the place has a great atmosphere and if anything they still allow privacy to chat with your own party even when sitting right next to another!

I never normally go out of my way to leave reviews but after my visit to Zios I absolutely had to. My friend and I went for Christmas lunch and both ordered the Zio turkey and ham, it was absolutely gorgeous! Hands down one of the best turkey dinners I've had 🥰 Such friendly staff too! Will definitely be back again. ⛄🎄 Thank you Zio!

Great night and food was excellent, the young waiter Andrew was such a pleasant chappy and couldn't have done enough for us .

Food was amazing but the service was awful! Took half n hour 2 take out starter plates then had to wait good bit for main then had to ask where our desert was which took 45 minutes to come! Asked for bill and didn't he didn't even answer me after waiting another 5 -10 minutes when to bar to pay where woman asked how it was I told her food what great but the waiting was ridiculous.. she didn't care and just asked for payment ! 🙄 don't go if u have to be somewhere within 3 hours ....👎👎

Always a great night when we visit Zio.

This is my 5th time in Zios and I am yet to be excited by what is accounted locally as a great eating house. It's OK. I reckon you have to be a regular to get the best service which is a pity really but the food is average, not amazing but the restaurant looks pretty so the shallow part of me likes that at least. It's pricey enough and for some odd reason it's quite noisy and echoes a lot which creates an annoying buzzing in the background.

Mains were good however very disappointing dessert. I wanted to buy a dessert to take home and I was given it in a cup(?!). I thought it was a joke but two waiters told me it was fine and just what they do. At £7.50 I feel robbed!

Stars rewarded only based on this particular visit only. Its a busy restaurant, through the business we had to ask someone else for sauce because it was taking way too long for the staff that we asked to bring it originally, and even so they were in no rush. Food is exquisite 👌 really could not complain about it as every bit was packed full of flavour so hats off to the chef. The interior although looks amazing they should consider stepping away from industrial look as people forget when designing a place how much louder the place becomes due to materials used in decor, and really important to remember heating, I'm not joking when I say it was Freezing, but hey food was worth a quick visit.

Came out to celebrate a work success with my wife. She had the salmon and I had the roast cod. The food was divine and exquisite. A real 5 star experience. Totally recommend. You will not be disappointed

Went for a family dinner and was very pleased with the experience. I'm a food snob living in Dublin, and I'm often unimpressed with mid Ulster restaurants that usually provide quantity over quality, to keep the pig farmers happy. The food was top nosh and good value for money. I had belly of pork cooked perfectly. My sisters had pasta and the wine was very good.

The food was excellent as always and the service simply superb. Anywhere else we have been recently seems to be struggling with/blaming covid for poor service and food. Not Zio's, this was one of the best dining out experiences we have had in years!

Great food and ambiance as usual. Had blade of beef for a change, which was cooked beautifully... Disappointing in that this is my 2nd visit in 2 weeks where they had NO options of any Zero/Low Alcohol Beer... C'mon Zios - sort it out please, drinks are part of the dining experience too! No excuse with 2 large supermarkets within a mile, and off licences about 400m away in both directions! Either order more stock or backfill from one of the above - your customers deserve better!

I visited here with a group of 7 friends. Food was absolutely delicious and the service was amazing! Staff are very friendly and accommodating! Cocktails are a must here!

Called on a Monday night with no reservation, place buzzing, all COVID protocols in place, my first visit although the boss had been before, great varied menu, prices not too bad, service was excellent with young waiting staff, pizza's for both if us were excellent, nearly as good as Italy!! (nearly), looking forward to another visit to try the pasta, people near us were getting steaks which looked delicious too, and the boss liked the wine too.

Birthday celebrations for my Dad. We were seated in a booth which was nice. Service was great. Place was absolutely buzzing. Starters all lovely especially the prawns, mussels and squid. The majority of the party had steak for main, all beautifully cooked along with tasty sides. The monkfish special was also a big hit. Decent wine list and cocktails. Managed to fit in dessert and a couple of Irish coffees. This is a lovely place, we always try and celebrate special family occasions here and will continue to do so.

Went here for our anniversary meal. Service terrible - I felt we where stuck in the corner - waited 10m minutes on someone to come and take a drinks order and another 10 minutes for our meal order. Seemed to be more interested in cleaning tables than serving their guests. We could not complain about the starters. These were delicious - brusetta and squid. Main courses were very disappointing. I ordered chicken al forno - very bland - had to ask for pepper and Parmesan - tasted good with these on it. I asked for a plate and got a side plate to eat it off. Husband got fillet steak - he said the steak was lovely but it came with frozen chips and burnt onion rings. Used to be lovely homemade sides with this food. So disappointing. increasd prices for less. Zio’s was always my favourite restaurant but will never be back. They did drop the beer off the bill but would not recommend.

I travel away with my work, currently in Northern Ireland .I thought I’d have a pizza tonight and I found these guys online. This did not disappoint. The best Pizza I have ever had !!!!. Absolutely delicious I had the Sloppy- Italian sausage,pepperoni, Cajun chicken, Ham,Tomato & Mozzarella .Superb!!

Zio has been around for as long as I can remember and it has always been amazing! I’ve never had a bad meal out of it and the atmosphere of the restaurant is always great. Some of the staff can be a little direct/short but on the whole they’re all very friendly and willing to help. Would be a frequent take-out customer and it’s brilliant to have authentic restaurant food in the comfort of your own home!

We went in without pre-booking the table , after rolling eyes from the host for not booking a table in advance he let us in but we where told we have to leave by 5pm , that Didn’t bother us so we proceeded, food was average nothing spectacular, calamari for a starter and mushroom soup was nice, we got burgers for our main, it was bland, nothing special, service quiet slow had to wait a while for a bill, overall average. Not well organised this places could do with a better management

We went for a meal in zio’s tonight & it was absolutely fantastic! The food was first class, delicious. Steak cooked exactly how we liked it & starters & desserts were to die for. The service was excellent. We were all spaced out & felt very safe with regards to social distancing. I can’t recommend this place highly enough! & can’t wait to go back. It was the first time we had been for a meal in months & it was worth the wait!

Pizzas are the best I’ve ever tasted. Staff very friendly. Very reasonable prices. Very busy place so need to make a reservation a week in advance.

I went here twice on my visit to Portadown and both meals had excellent flavour. Portions were generous - so you may need to pace yourself. I went there on a Tuesday early evening and the place was packed, which is always good to see. Staff were friendly and attentive. Service was swift. A good restaurant.

My husband and I visited Zio's for Valentine's day and we were not disappointed! We both had the deep fried brie for starters which was perfect and a good size of portion. I had the gluten free pizza which was incredible with a delicious greek salad. My husband had lasagne and he enjoyed every mouthful. Dessert was heavenly tiramisu with a double espresso. Service was good despite being busy. We really enjoyed our visit and will be back again soon.

I took the kids here and was blown away by the standard of food and service. Kids menu is fantastic and nothing is to much for the staff. I had the steak and it was cooled perfect. Would recommend to anyone and we will be back.

Had dinner with my husband and I have to say it was just perfect. When the dishes came out it was just perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will be back again sooner than planned. Thank you Suzanna

An absolutely brilliant place. Fantastic service and great food. A real find in Portadown. Miss it at your peril!

Visited last week, been many times and rarely let down. On this occasion the main courses for both of us were fantastic, tasty and quality food. Unfortunately this particular visit was let down by desserts. We both ordered the chocolate fudge cake and asked for it to be heated, what we got was a cold and tasteless cake with some lukewarm watery chocolate sauce on the side. This was served with vanilla ice cream which was also utterly tasteless and was just white ice. Somewhat disappointing after the main course but having said that we would go back - main course only though!

Food as always was amazing one of the best Italian restaurants about. Great service. Situated in the town of Portadown it's easy to get too.

Have been to restaurant several times before and always good but today was very different! Arrived at time of booking main order taken 10 minutes later which was good, but then we had 45 minute wait on our meal, when food arrived this small single fillet overcooked sea bass arrived on bed look warm baby potatoes in tomato base sauce, presentation awful, taste was anything but good, this for £15.95 RIP OFF!!! I don’t mind paying for good well portioned food BUT this was dreadful, definitely won’t be back or recommend this restaurant to anyone,

Haven't visited Portadown for a while, so when we called in for lunch we were pleasantly surprised. Not crowded, but with a steady stream of customers whist we were there. Described as 'mediterranean', it's not far away. My squid was excellent as was the bruschetta . The lamb shank was substituted by 'four?' Lamb chops, and I chose the ravioli. I opted out of pudding, but my partner raved over her panne cotta served with cherries.One minor criticism. There are better sparkling mineral waters than the one we were served, but we would certainly return.

Amazing Mediterranean restaurant in the middle of Portadown...who knew? I was here with a group of five. We all had different starters and mains...everything was extraordinary. The chef/owner has a very light touch on the seafood; it was all perfectly prepared. And the range of dishes would satisfy the pickiest member of any group. This all comes with very personable and professional service. Very impressed. We don’t live near here, but we’ll make the trip back just to eat here again.

Booked a table for our one year anniversary. Been once before at lunch time for a work Christmas lunch. Lovely atmosphere - always busy. That's a great sign!

Wow!! Shared starter of BBQ chicken wings, plenty for two. Christmas dinner was gorgeous, lovely fluffy mashed potatoes, vegetables perfect, a door step of turkey and ham very tasty with just the right amount of gravy. Too full up for a dessert but the men polished off Xmas pudding and chocolate brownies. Excellent service, lovely ambience. Thoroughly enjoyed. Great variety of drinks too.

We had a great meal here, we both had the mixed breads while we waited for our Salmon main course. It was perfectly cooked, seasoned to perfection. The staff where friendly and attentive. I would recommend a visit, be sure and book as it is very busy.

Good atmosphere and the pizzas are lovely. Steak was decent nothing to write home about. But had a lovely meal none the less.

Zio mostly serves Italian food but my highlight was the Thai mussels!

Zio is right in the heart of portadown , one of the best places to eat, the quality of the food is the best ,around , and it is very reasonably priced , the service is excellent, Tomas was our waiter on the night he is very professional in every way , thank you !!!! Tomas , I would recommend zio to anyone who is looking for a good night out with friends or family, it is also child friendly , I would recommend booking a table before you go as it is always a busy restaurant .

It's a few years since I last had a meal in here. The standard was as good, if not better! The food is delicious, the service is friendly, attentive and very professional. The best restaurant to eat in Portadown by a country mile.

Zio's is a great local Italian restaurant, providing a wide range of pizza, pasta and seafood dishes.

Visited on a busy Friday eve. Place was absolutely buzzing. Great service. Food was excellent. Portions huge. Highlights were lamb cutlets with Greek salad, mussels in a Thai broth and of course the chicken & mushroom al forno. We were seated at a lovely round window table. Highly enjoyable evening. We'll be back.

Book in advance, as this Portadown restaurant fills up quick! Rightly so, as the food is some of the best around. The menu caters for all tastes and all is good. We highly recommend that you check out their specials board, as this is always top notch - be quick, as it sells out to canny locals in the know.... fast! I had monkfish on a seafood and tomato risotto - yep! Tasted as good as it sounds! Highly recommended!

Hi all, this is a very busy restaurant so do not expect a quiet intimate experience. It is buzzing and noisy but fab! The staff in here are the best!!!! They are so tuned into each and every table!! Know when to take your order, collect plates etc, without having to ask. They are efficient and so friendly at the same time. They are a true example of how a restaurant should work. I had a lovely meal with my son in here on 7th June 19. The steak (although there was a bit of a wait) was absolutely amazing!!! I have never tasted nicer!!!! 10/10!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Well done Zios keep up the good work!!!!!

I have to say I’ve been to Zios quite a lot as they’re food is lovely but few times I’ve been their service is the worst I’ve ever had they don’t care about their customers only about money they can’t get u in and out again fast enough if your not with a large party of people they ignore you!! They have lots of staff but no one ever seems to bother coming to ask if your ready to order! When you call them for to order etc it seems to annoy them one waiter snapped the menus from mine and my friends hands after saying a snarky comment about our order, they’re not friendly at all! Must say Zios u may produce good food but that alone doesn’t make a restaurant worth going to, I personally am so disappointed how bad the service is I won’t put foot in your restaurant again!

We eat here every few months and it never disappoints. Specials excellent, good portions and wide variety of food. Kids loved the massive pizzas, monkfish with risotto amazing, desserts great too. Service friendly and helpful. This is the best all round restaurant in Portadown. Has been going strong for 10+ years and still really good.

Excellent service as always. Would especially recommend the Chicken and Bacon Al Forno or the Sloppy pizza. A busy spot, would definitely require booking, especially for large tables. Staff happily accommodated a birthday cake we had brought for celebration.

Just visited Zio's after a very sad and traumatic week. I must say that the staff were outstanding and so lovely. The meal was exceptional and very reasonably priced. I recommend this restaurant without hesitation. Im fussy , love fine food. Adore cleanliness and above all respect honest effort. Im completely satisfied on all counts by Zio's.

The Hake was magnificent. A very pleasant dining experience with friendly staff and a nice ambience.

Went here for my daughters birthday in a party of 5. From the moment we arrived we were made feel very welcome and were shown to our table straight away. We were given time to look at the menu and did not feel under pressure to hurry up and choose our food. The food its self was excellent and good sized portions. Would recommend Zio to anyone

We were in Portadown for 3 days for the motorcycle racing at Tandragee.

My wife and I have been visiting Zio for years. The food has always been delicious, even when the restaurant is full to capacity. The staff have always been so accommodating, friendly and professional, especially with our 4 year old daughter. If you want tasty, well portioned and priced food, Zio comes highly recommended by us. And it also helps that there is always a buzz about the atmosphere.

We visited here for the first time on a Sunday evening. Didn’t have a reservation but were seated straight away.
