Pundits Fusion

Upton and Hanley, Malvern Hills, 30-45£
17/01/2017: The entrance is a little disconcerting - It was a little like being invited into someone's front room. Having got past the initial reaction the experience is really good. The service was excellent and Sultan makes you feel very welcome and will advise on the menu if asked. There was a constant influx of people collecting take-away meals which must also be a good sign as we presume they were locals. There are also covers in a room at the rear and they have a garden for al fresco eating in the summer which is worth knowing. The food was really good with plentiful proportions and we finished off with floater coffees for a change. We will certainly be making a return visit with some friends next time. This does show how impressed we were if we will recommend this to friends.
17/01/2017: We have eaten here on a number of occasions and they have never disappointed they will always cook meals to your personal taste very spicy or very mild is never a problem

Ladywood, Birmingham, >100£
10/12/2016: I love Adams. I like eating, and fine dining. For me, Adams trumps similar establishments such as the Ledbury, Alimentum, Dinner (by a country mile), Manoir aux Quat Saisons, Midsummer House (close, though). As previously, the food varies from magnificent to the sublime-that wonderful moment in eating when the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. The sommelier was wonderful and fun, and individually the waiters and waitresses were lovely. But at the end of each course on the taster menu there was a little bit of ceremony where two waiters stood by the empty plates and whisked them away, in tandem. But I don't want that kind of ceremony, and more, I don't want to feel rushed, as I did. If one is spending over a hundred pounds on a meal, it has to be luxurious, delice and not hurried. Still 5 stars mind, as food is wow.
17/08/2016: Fantastic, beautifully presented food, and excellent, attentive but not overbearing service. We will be back - thank you!

L'amuse Bouche Restaurant

Priory, Malvern Hills
18/01/2017: Restaurant recommended so booked to take my husband for his birthday on Christmas Eve. Lovely setting, beautifully furnished and decorated rooms. Staff very attentive. Food first class and a meal to remember. I would recommend this restaurant and we will certainly visit again.
18/01/2017: Two fantastic waiting areas to have a drink and place your order, a cozy lounge with comfy settees, fabulous tree at Christmas, and a glitzy bar area. The food is superb, wide range of choices, brilliantly cooked and served. The only slight criticism is that having been several times over the years the menu has almost stayed the same.

Venture In

Ombersley, Wychavon
18/01/2017: Restaurant catered for all 4 of us, including our frailties. Kind, considerate staff and we were given a comprehensive description of the lunch menu. Food was beautiful and we were 4 very satisfied customers.
16/01/2017: We have been recommended to try The Venture In for a while but not been able to reserve a table, we were fortunate to book this weekend and were not disappointed.Ombersley is a lovely rural setting and the traditional style of The Venture In is welcoming the minute you walk through the door. A chilly evening, we sat by the open fire taking drinks in the reception bar and reviewed the menu. We were somewhat stunned at the refined choice and were advised of additional specials, there are limited vegetarian choices, however, for those who do not eat meat but eat fish, there is an extensive choice 'of the day'.From the initial greeting and throughout the evening the service was attentive without being intrusive, orchestrated beautifully throughout and the meal was outstanding. Venison and game pie and Wild fillet of sea bass with prawn risotto and seafood reduction (my seafood hors d'oeuvres was amazing and included a small cup of broth)£43 per head (FYI there are some reasonable supplements) On hearing that it was my husband's birthday, a candle was placed in his dessert which I thought was very thoughtful.Highly recommended and book well in advance, the reception area is small so arrive on time but you do not feel cramped or rushed. As I said, all orchestrated beautifully.Very well done to the team - a gem.

Ladywood, Birmingham
19/01/2017: visited for lunch mid week, pre-booked, friendly meet and greet, it looks a little austere inside but we quickly settled into the relaxed atmosphere, clientele was a mixture of business men and couples (all over 50!), v attentive and informed staff, limited lunchtime menu and probably they only offer set menus BUT the food was stunning. We went for the 3 course and ate beautiful BBQ squid, hake, pigs cheeks (melted in your mouth), followed freshly made chocolate tart (obviously the meals were much more complex then I have described!!). Portions were not large but beautiful presented and v v v tasty. They also gave us a whole French country loaf with delicious butter and a mayonnaise maybe to make up for the portions!. We had 2 glasses of the house Spanish white which was also excellent. The bill including service came to £90 which we thought was excellent value. So fabulous food, great staff, lovely setting - we will return and try the evening menu.

The Oak Wigmore

Mortimer, Herefordshire, County of
17/01/2017: We had heard that Friday lunch time was quiet so went with some friends. Fabulous meal, excellent service. Would recommend very highly
08/01/2017: Delicious hot chocolate. Just what is needed after a walk to the castle and back in January! Hope to return for food sometime.

No 3 Restaurant & Bar

Ross-on-Wye East, Herefordshire, County of
14/01/2017: We visited the No 3 on a cold wet night in January and it was a lovely warm welcome and atmosphere we received. Since they have put in the ceiling noise reducers (which look more art like than functional!) it means the place feels comfortable and homely. The food was excellent and it was only after the meal that I realised I had gone for vegetarian because I had gone with the description. It sounded as good as it looked and tasted.Lovely polite and efficient staff.Well worth a visit. Will go again.
10/01/2017: Our first visit to No3 and really enjoyed it. The food and the atmosphere was fantastic. Can highly recommend the Chilli Prawn starter and the steak was fantastic. Will definatly be going back. The food and the atmosphere was spot on.

The Opposition Bistro

Stratford Guild and Hathaway, Stratford-on-Avon, 45-60£
19/01/2017: Located right in the heart of downtown Stratford Upon Avon it's got an unusual name but don't be put off. The atmosphere is quiet with subdued lighting. The food is always good, service is attentive and friendly and the prices fair. The menu is creative and there are always choices for vegetarians. Our favourite restaurant in town.
18/01/2017: Two courses a la carte with a carafe of wine and coffee for less than sixty pounds delivered with style and a smile. Good ambience, great food, unhurried but with no danger of missing our play. Really good food, imaginative, sufficient and high quality.

The Tram Inn

Castle, Herefordshire, County of
04/01/2017: This is the second visit to The Tram since moving to Wales and we'll keep visiting every time we go to Hereford. Best food around and my husband reckons it's the best burger outside of America
04/01/2017: Excellent food & very friendly service, Went for a birthday celebration with friends & family everyone really enjoyed their meal. Have been several times now the food & service are always top notch.

The Olive Tree

Cheadle West, Staffordshire Moorlands, <20£
17/01/2017: We visited this place for the first time after seeing good reviews on Facebook. We were not disappointed, we received a friendly helpful reception from the owner we spent time explaining the menu as new visitors. The menu was easy to understand and we chose 6 dishes between 2 of us which was plenty. All the food was delicious and well presented. This is a reasonably priced venue with great food served by friendly staff. We will definitely be back.
17/01/2017: Amazing food something for everyone to enjoy food amazing staff amazing and very friendly would and have recommended to friends and family

The Green Cafe

Ludlow North, Shropshire
03/01/2017: We had crossed the bridge and gone for a walk over the other side. It was lovely and quiet and the birds were close and foraging for food.It was cold, so we decided to come into The Green Cafe. I know that it is highly rated, but we only had hot chocolate and coffee. This was great and the staff lovely. There is a lovely (not sure what you would call it) collection of printed boards with old pictures and a bit of history of the bridge, town and mill. Lovely idea,There were a lot of ducks swimming, which unusually seemed to be paired up, maybe its that time of year, but it is something which I have never seen before. This location must be amazing in the summer. The inside is only small so booking in advance may be advisable.
03/01/2017: A very welcome spot for tea and cake after a walk along the river in and around Ludlow. Great quality food and drinks and really friendly and helpful staff. Couldn't recommend it any more highly.

Abbey, Nuneaton and Bedworth
17/01/2017: Came in a large party for afternoon tea as our works Christmas Party. Everyone commented how excellent the food was and the selection was perfect. Anthonys were perfectly happy to accommodate a few special requirements and this was done with ease. The whole afternoon was lovely, many of the group had not visted Anthonys before but said they would 100% return again.
17/01/2017: This little place is a must visit venue for all you foodies out there , fantastic food , warm friendly team , great service , I have been to many restaurants in many places and this is definitely one of the best .

Pascal at the Old Vicarage

Branston, East Staffordshire, 20-30£
19/01/2017: Been here a few times on different occasions during different times of the year and I have finally concluded this place to be overated ... I get told how wonderful it is a few times but when I go I've not been convinced yet . Food is average at best it's small and crowed with terrible parking . I get some of these things are out of people's control but it all adds to a unpleasant experience if the food was amazing then you could put up with it but sadly it just isn't. The worst thing is the owners I find them a little rude and stuck up I think they believe they are a high class restaurant in London or new York and Gordon Ramsey is their chef but they are so far from that they come across as stuck up and arrogant. .. not my cup of tea but I can't find to much to say good about this place other than if you want flashy pub grub then you might enjoy so it gets a 2 from me
17/01/2017: We had a lovely warm welcome on a cold winters evening. From the moment we arrived the service was attentive but never intrusive. We really couldn't have asked for more. The menu was varied and the food delicious and the drinks served with care. The food was served in a timely way, not too long to wait and never hurried - perfect. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere and it was clear that all the guests were have a great time.

The Crown Inn

Halmerend, Newcastle-under-Lyme, <20£
18/01/2017: We arrived at about 5.45pm on a Saturday evening. They were queuing at the door. As there were 8 of us we had phoned beforehand and were directed to a table. As some of our party had not arrived we ordered drinks. We had to wait a little time for our meal as we had not ordered straight away. The men ordered venison and the others tuna, piri piri chicken, scampi and veg burrito which were all good sized portions and very tasty. The cheese boards were ample and the chocolate puddings to die for. Would definitely visit again but perhaps on a less busy evening midweek.
18/01/2017: It was the 1st time we had been here, it was lovely the staff are great very pleased with Food. We will be going back to here it was lovely.
