Mayur Indian Restaurant

Killycrot, Carrickfergus
17/01/2017: Great wee Indian for a Take-away, very quick and helpful, wouldn't go anywhere else, portion sizes slightly small, two meals just under £20.
17/01/2017: We have ate in this Indian restaurant three times and each time it has been perfect! Indian is a favourite choice for our whole family when we go out for a meal and this is definitely one of the best restaurants we have ate in. What it lacks in its simple surroundings it makes up for in the dishes thar are serve. The last time my son ordered a dish that he had never tried and it was a bit too spicy. Within minutes the owner had it taken away and after asking my son what he liked, a new sauce had been made. Amazing service, friendly and polite without being intrusive. The early bird menu is exceptional value and the quality of the meals served is in no way compromised. This is also an excellent choice if you are gluten free.

Billy Andy's

Glynn, Larne
14/01/2017: If you stumbled upon this eatery you wouldn't think it's going to be great due to appearance alone. You would definitely be wrong as the food and service is excellent. Visited here with friends and had a drink in the tiny but atmospheric bar. The fire was roaring and the craic great. They took our order at the bar and brought us to our table when they were about to serve the starters. Everyone enjoyed their starter and the main was excellent. The mini desserts are great for sharing and the whole meal was excellent value. We went on the steak night and we're not disappointed. Will definitely visit again.
07/01/2017: Definitely worth a trip to find this spot, which is off the beaten track. Absolutely beautiful food, unique menu & good value for high quality food. If you visit on a Saturday afternoon, stay for the amazing traditional music in the bar that's usually on from about 2.30pm to early evening. Great atmosphere. There's also another bar that shows sports, if that's more your thing.

17/01/2017: Good value for money, huge portions, tasty food. More a European menu but excellent range- something for everyone. Seems to cater well for parties.
12/01/2017: Visited here for our grand daughters christening. There was about 15 of a party but the staf coped well. This would be a close second place to Church Street.

Harbour bar

Royal Portrush, Coleraine
17/01/2017: Excellent live music, and a great drink menu. They specialize in gins and gin cocktails - definitely try one or a few! They have a wonderful view of the harbor and great atmosphere. Even in the winter, the bar was quite busy by 22:30.
14/01/2017: After another good meal in Coast, great way to finish off a Saturday evening is popping next door to the harbour bar for a nightcap or two. Friendly atmosphere,Willie making you feel that you're the only customers in the place and of course a great fire to warm you up before you go back out into the January gale blasting down Kerr street.

ocho tapas bistro

Royal Portrush, Coleraine
17/01/2017: We went in the late afternoon. Just the right time for the early bird.3 tapas for £7.95. Very nice and decent sized portions. The staff is friendly. The Chilean house wine was quite tasty also. Meals and drinks were at a good value
15/01/2017: Ocho is quite simply fantastic! Everything about it was flawless from the service which was second to none to the food which was delicious. We visited just before Christmas and although it was busy and we were a larger party seated upstairs away from the main dining area we didn't feel excluded. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed and we were actively encouraged to enjoy every second. The staff were attentive and took time to talk us though the menu, listen to what we liked and make recommendations. Yes it's 'small' plates but the portions were generous and designed to share. We ordered a selection and then just helped ourselves. It was really different and a lovely idea. All the food was of a high standard and tasted amazing -the prosecco wasn't bad either. On a further plus it was great value for money and really reasonable. In all we had a great night and we all pledged we would certainly be back!!!!

Sleepy Hollow Restaurant

Mallusk, Newtownabbey
19/01/2017: We have been back a few times to this restaurant. It's a lovely restaurant with high quality food. The price is very reasonable for the high quality food. The service has mostly been fine, perhaps a bit slower than some restaurants so don't go expeciting to be in and out in a hour. However we did have a few issues in early January with a booking of a party of 4 which was disappointing as it was a special occassion however when the food arrived it was delicious and the staff did apologise for staffing issues. I would say go for a treat and go for the night and enjoy a few drinks before in the bar upstairs. the food is all delicious
18/01/2017: Had the spiced carrot soup and the sirloin steak for the main course, both courses were beautiful, the breads with the soup were unusual but very tasty. My husband had the partridge starter and the beef ribs, he enjoyed both. The girl that served us was very professional and very tentative, kept calling us Sir and Ma'm. the price for three of us for starters and main courses along with drinks was very reasonable. We didn't feel rushed to finish our meals either.

Mermaid Kitchen and Bar

Royal Portrush, Coleraine
14/01/2017: Love love love this place. Food is to die for and it's very busy but it's got a lovely atmosphere. Service great too and I only wish I didn't have to get on a plane to visit. Fresh tasty food, what else would you want. Desserts, well, you have to see them to believe them. Out of this world and such good value.
06/01/2017: Had them most amazing night at the Mermaid on NYE. It was busy as you would expect but the staff couldn't have been more friendly. Food was amazing - couldn't finish it all! Will defo go back again.

Fratelli

Galgorm, Ballymena
18/01/2017: Gorgeous meal and we were able to choose from the main menu even though our meal came as part of our stay at the hotel
17/01/2017: Our experience was excellent for the most part. Food was excellent. Main courses were reasonably priced but starters, desserts and sides were quite expensive. Service was good if a little overbearing. I lost count of the number of times we werr asked if everything was ok. Tables were too close together so you felt other diners next to you could hear your conversation. Overall though this was a very pleasant experience.

The French Rooms

Bushmills, Moyle, 20-30£
05/01/2017: We had a most enjoyable lunch here. I would recommend either going early or making a reservation. It was very busy but the staff were most attentive and pleasant. The food was very tasty. Two of us had the burger and one had the sea bass. The food was nicely presented and decent size portions. Reasonably priced. Would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.
05/01/2017: We visited here before a tour of the Bushmills Distillery. Staff were lovely, food was really gorgeous and the restaurant was beautifully furnished. Would highly recommend.

Roark's Kitchen

Kinbane, Moyle
04/01/2017: We had lovely ham and cheese toasties and hot chocolates here, a perfect way to end a lovely day. They have a very large selection of homemade cakes to choose from too.

Tartine Restaurant at The Distillers Arms

Bushmills, Moyle, 30-45£
15/01/2017: We were here for Sunday lunch which was a carvery setup. Well cooked and presented food, friendly and efficient service, lovely to come into on a blustery grey day. Would definitely recommend. Opening hours vary so I'd recommend ringing to check.
11/01/2017: This was my first time to Tartine and it was a very good one. This was a family occasion for the New Year's Day lunch and carvery and it was enjoyed by everyone. The starters were served to the table: Winter vegetable broth with wheaten bread was very substantial and heavy and the crab brulee (unusual) on melba toast was very popular. The carvery itself was very good with an excellent meat selection on offer of medium sirloin; well done sirloin, well done lamb, venison, gammon, turkey and roast beef. These were served with nicely roasted potatoes and vegetables (broccoli, carrots, parsnips and the like) and gravies. What stood out was that the food was all fresh and clearly hadn't been sitting for hours.I had the crumble for dessert and my girlfriend had the pavlova, both of which were very good and delicious. The Christmas pudding also proved to be a very good choice. I only wished that Tartine had been my choice on Christmas Day for dinner - but they weren't open, otherwise I'd have booked Xmas Day 2017…Service was very good and generally on cue. Some staff were clearly suffering from a late night before, but still carried out their jobs very well.Restaurant Layout. There is a welcoming area where you can have pre-dinner drinks and then its through to the restaurant at the back. Allowances have to be made for the age of the building and there are steps down to the tables. There is a conservatory onto the carpark, which may not appeal to everyone.

15/01/2017: Cant fault this restaurant in the slightest, seated immediately on a busy saturday night and our food came out in record time! Food was delicious, service was great and it was appropriately priced, atmosphere in the restaurant was so comfortable. Definitely will be back.
08/01/2017: The food is consistently good every single time you go, it has a really lovely atmosphere. The staff are very friendly, and for the quality of the food the prices are more than fair! Always get a good meal no matter how busy it is

Millside Restaurant

Galgorm, Ballymena
19/01/2017: Invited here for Saturday morning breakfast. Amazed to find the place so busy. Clearly a popular venue for breakfast. Staff very welcoming and attentive. Service prompt and efficient. Food acceptable but lacking the oomph factor that other aspects of this restaurant exude.
15/01/2017: Very friendly and helpful staff, nice atmosphere and great selection of food from the menu. Bring your own alcohol. Great spot.

Upstairs @ Joe's

Glenaan, Moyle
20/12/2016: We joined the seafood cookery night it was just fantastic steamed mussels followed by lobster Thermidor great instructor great company food delicious felt like I was a professional chief .Highly recommended it ,I'm going back to try the desserts
02/12/2016: Had a lovely dinner here on Sunday evening. We booked ahead, as we had been turned away earlier in the year, but the restaurant was quiet when we were taken to our seats and remained less than half full throughout our dinner. My wife got the roast beef Sunday dinner option and the portion that arrived was huge. I got a very nice steak and our kid got a childs burger and chips - again the food was lovely and the portions were very large. The waitress was great also, especially with our little one. The pub downstairs is a great wee spot also and has a nice patio round the back for sunnier months.
