Square bistro

Hilden, Lisburn
19/01/2017: Service was very prompt and friendly, restaurant was full but we still had our food within 10-15 minutes. Very reasonably priced for the quality of food that you're getting. Will definitely be back.

Vanilla Restaurant

Shimna, Down
19/01/2017: We tried the early bird menu - very reasonable for the top quality of the food. Overall everything was delicious and staff were friendly and helpful
16/01/2017: Vanilla Restaurant came recommended to us & it very much lived up to my expectations. The ambiance of the surroundings was lovely & the staff were all very friendly & helpful. We had a fabulous meal - & although my Finnebrogue Venison (served Pink) was served exactly as stated on the menu – I found it very difficult to cut & so I had to leave what must have looked like the most of it on my plate.I felt very disappointed as the evening was very costly.

Blue Bay Cafe

Brunels Restaurant

Donard, Down
08/01/2017: My husband and I enjoyed our wedding anniversary dining in Brunel's. It was our first visit as I had found it on Tripadvisor and was able to make the booking on-line.The staff were very friendly and we were even given 2 complimentary glasses of Prosecco when they knew we were there for our anniversary. The food was absolutely fabulous. We will be back and will be recommending to friends and family as it is tucked away from main street and alot of people I spoke to don't know its there. Staff told me they are moving to a more central location in March . We will be back.
05/01/2017: Have been hoping to visit here for dinner for a while, but had opportunity to.go for lunch this week. The 4-7-4 lunch menu is great value and absolutely gorgeous. We skipped starters, but the young buck risotto and the ham hock mains were delicious. We followed this with 2 amazing desserts. My only slight criticism would be service was a bit slow for lunch time. That said I can't wait to go back for dinner!

The Guillemot

Harbour, North Down, <20£
18/01/2017: Went here recently for a spot of lunch after reading other reviews & it certainly did not disappoint . Would highly recommend.
17/01/2017: What a wonderful authentic little bistro From the service to the food - impressedWould go back time and time again Not to be missed Rachel and the team are fantastic

Harbour, North Down
17/01/2017: Great pub , proper tasty pub grub (large portions) . All served by friendly and efficient staff !! Love this place for lunch ..
16/01/2017: The restaurant is upstairs so mightn't suit some, there's plenty of additional parking at the back (a fee may apply before 6pm remember to check!). The staff are friendly and welcoming. The menu has something for everyone and is extremely competitively priced. The portions are large and the food very tasty. We've been here with young kids and as a couple and we keep coming back. I would recommend booking in advance if you can but they can usually seat you somewhere! Great!!!

The Quays Restaurant

Portavogie, Ards
14/01/2017: Been to this restaurant several times over the years and it never fails to impress, the food is always 2nd to none, the fish dishes are to die for, my partner is vegetarian and the chefs always go out of their way to accomodate her tastes and she has enjoyed some of the best veggy meals shes ever had anywhere, The waiting staff too are always friendly and very welcoming, all in all deservedly one of the best restaurants in N.Ireland
04/12/2016: Thirteen of us arrived just after 1.30 pm on a Sat afternoon after having our reservation confirmation numbers made early that morning. We were all sat together which was good and it was clear that the staff had arranged the tables so. We were there as part of a classic car run in the area from the North Down and South Antrim areas and "all" we required was a good main meal and suitable drinks. We were quickly seated and our drinks order taken without any delay. Whilst the drinks were being attended to our meal order was taken very efficiently by a member of staff. There was an excellent and varied menu which we made good use of and we very quickly made up our minds and our order was attended to. After what appeared to be a very short time our meal was on the table. This was, in my opinion, no mean feat as I think we had only one duplication of a meal, a couple, and so twelve separate types of meals had to be prepared at the one time with the addition of our potato choices as well. The food was excellent for everyone and I heard no words of complaint and we were made to feel very welcome the whole time that we were there. Another good point to mention was the fact that we were able to pay our bills in ones and couples that is not always accommodated within other establishments and no cover change as well as a group. Three cheers for "The Quays Restaurant".

Great jones Craft & Kitchen

Shimna, Down
12/01/2017: Starter seafood chowder delicious, complimentary salted popcorn and bottled water always a plus. My main was lamb medallions encrusted with garlic and herb, was great. Wife and son really enjoyed their meal even though my son 4yo only had chips as thats all he eats even these were delicious. Cant wait to get back and try something different.
10/01/2017: Me and a friend went here for dinner it was local it wasn't the first time I have been here. I love the great Jones the staff are always friendly and helpful, and I personally have never had a bad meal I think the food in contemporary and very tasty. I did try some cocktails which has a weird after taste I'm not sure if the sugar syrup used in the cocktails had been flavoured with something but both mine and my friends drinks has a weird aftertaste. But all in all a great place to eat in Newcastle

Katch 27

Kircubbin, Ards
18/01/2017: I went for lunch mid week with a friend. I liked the interior decor. I didn't like the music- Neil Diamond for an hour solid and too loud. I ordered a warm duck salad because I wanted something light and didn't fancy the soup. It was inexpensive. It was pretty ordinary. Warm duck pieces on a bed of salad leaves out of a bag and a terribly sweet sauce- like sweet chilli sauce without the chilli. I was disappointed.I would have preferred to pay more for something more interesting and worth eating. My friend enjoyed her pea risotto.
14/01/2017: Absolutely fabulous food, service family friendly with a really welcoming atmosphere highly recommend Had mainly a selection of seafood dishes

Niki's Kitchen Cafe

11/01/2017: Most certainly the best coffee in the WORLD!! Beautiful relaxed atmosphere .. The most beautiful view... The staff are amazing, friendly and very competent! Try the most amazing scones I have ever tasted! It should most certainly be a 'must experience' on your bucket list!!! Excellent!!!
12/12/2016: Food maybe a little more expensive but worth every penny. Everything cooked fresh and tasted delicious. Also window view looks out at the sea! Recommend!!

13/01/2017: We used to come into this place many times before, but we recently noticed the food isn't as good as its used to be anymore. The staff is just as friendly and helpful as always!

Pier 36

Donaghadee North, Ards
18/01/2017: Pier 36 is a family owned restaurant. We had a party of six out for a family evening together. The food was very good and the service also was good with a friendly atmosphere and you are made to feel welcome. We all had different meals and no one could complain about the food. The night was a great success and we would certainly do it again. We have made many visits to Pier 36 and have never been disappointed. The steak evenings are well worth while for good food and a bottle of wine per couple.
18/01/2017: There was a choice from the menu which I am pleased to say suited my needs completely. The food was very tasty and there was sufficient for what I wanted.

Villa Vinci

Shimna, Down
18/01/2017: My wife and I visited this restaurant last night 17/1/17 while on a visit to Newcastle. I cant speak highly enough about this restaurant. The food was excellent and great value and the service was second to none. Obviously it is very popular locally as every table was occupied by 8pm with people willing to wait to be seated. Great buzz in the restaurant and I cant wait for my next trip to Newcastle to call again.
11/01/2017: Great place to eat. Stayed in slieve Donard and it's a 2 minute walk. Very welcoming staff & even better food. Will definitely be back Pizza and chips are one of the best I've tried.

Central, Ards, <20£
13/10/2016: We had probably the best toasties we have ever tasted today. The cafe was unexpectedly empty at 12.30 and we ordered a bacon/tomato and a bacon/chicken toastie, both on artisan granary bread. There was a longer than expected wait as the toasties were prepared, but this only raised the expctation of something delicious appearing. We were not disappointed.I expect to find an excuse to revisit again soon and look forward to trying other combinations.
15/08/2016: I've been here a few times now. Really enjoyed the food each time. Modern design, comfortable seating, friendly service and fantastic coffee! Shall return again...

Lee Lam House

Downshire, Castlereagh
04/01/2017: The Lee Lam House is 1 of the best Chinese restaurants in Ireland. We discovered the crispy shredded beef/chicken on their menu 25 years ago and have been blown away by it ever since so much so we have been known to travel the 30 from Castlewellan just for the food. They have a massive range of dishes to choose from and reasonably priced as well. Well worth a visit.
25/11/2016: Started using this 3 weeks ago. It is to die for. There salt and chilli chicken chicken comes in big bits than thin but still really nice. Curry sauce with noodles is to die for. A def recommend for people!
