The Jolly Sandwich

Portora, Fermanagh
21/08/2017: Visited the Jolly Sandwich for lunch, ir was my first time there and will definitely not be my last. I had caesar salad, it was vusually pleasing and as delicious as it looked. The restaurant itself is small and we had to wait quite a while to be served and seated however well worth the wait. Baked goods very tasty and all made on site. Enjoyable experience!!
21/08/2017: Our annual visit to Enniskillen wouldn't be complete without a visit to the Jolly Sandwich, one of our favourite places to eat. We had friends over from London and enjoyed a delightful lunch ranging from open sandwiches to a very tasty sausage and bean bake, through to frittatas. Delicious salads accompanied our choices - the apple, sultana and celery salad was particularly memorable.Despite the queue we were served swiftly and managed to get a table in the window. Helpful and cheerful service from all members of staff make this place more than just a tea room or cafe!

Ebrington, Derry
21/08/2017: When various friends come from London we always get asked to book a table at Browns Bonds Hill. This time we went for Sunday lunch - three courses for £22.95 - outstanding value for the quality of ingredients and skill of the chefs. The wine recommendations for each course were spot on too.Every course was full of different flavours and textures - and presented beautifully. The staff were friendly and attentive but not intrusive.Another great dining experience - well done Ian Orr and the team! The many awards that adorn the walls are richly deserved.
16/08/2017: Consistent great food and service. We had the early bird menu on a Friday night fantastic value. Steaks to die for. Gourmet experience.

07/08/2017: Oysters in strabane is absolute top soon as went in we had a warm welcome by the owner who presented us with a fantastic drinks menu, followed by our table for dinner..The steak was cooked perfect aswell as the rest of the food...such a relax setting to have rush to finish like alot of places...def a 10/10 and will be back soonSuch a credit to the owner&his staff...
05/08/2017: Had a great Friday evening catching up with family. Perfect steak, perfect wine, perfect ale. Great staff, very friendly and gave good advice for which bar to go to after the dinner. It was all well presented, tidy and you can see the staff took pride in delivering a good service. Thanks!

Strand, Derry, <20£
20/08/2017: Excellent setting on the river Foyle with good fish dishes and a wide variety of cuisine. The prices are very reasonable. A short walk along the quays from the city centre
20/08/2017: The atmosphere was great. Even though we went on a Tuesday it was very busy. The staff were attentive but not intrusive, the food great. Midweek deals, so amazing value

The Sooty Olive Restaurant

Victoria, Derry, 20-30£
17/08/2017: Great locally sourced food. Very tasty and very good staff. Even the beer and butter are local. Well done to all.
16/08/2017: Great meal. Staff very friendly even though we were a little late to eat. Last ones there but not made to feel uncomfortable.

Tully Mill Restaurant

Florence Court and Kinawley, Fermanagh
20/08/2017: Just had one of the best Sunday lunches in a long time. Fantastic roast rib of beef with all the trimmings and excellent service.Set menu that offers a good choice across starter- mains and Pudding.Only improvement would be some roast potatoes!!!Will be back to try the evening menu.
16/08/2017: Fantastic food and lovely staff - incredibly welcoming. 3 course set menu - good selection. Very good at accommodating food restrictions - my father is coeliac and could choose anything for starter or main and they made tweaks to his choice of desert which made a very pleasant change for him when he usually has a limited choice. I had the steak which was delicious and the tabacco onions were to die for. My only criticism would be that the mash and fries served with the steak were too much. Would thoroughly recommend a visit here.

Cafe Merlot

Portora, Fermanagh
20/08/2017: Cafe Merlot never let's you down. Certainly at the weekend it is invariably full, and the standard of food never fails.Popular is the antipasti, which varies. We had trio of small fillet battered cod, smoked salmon roulade and demi-tasse of sweet potato soup. All excellent. The menu follows the Gordon Ramsay principle of relatively small choice, but done well, the rib-eye being perfect, and accompanied by perfectly seasoned sauce, mushroom, green beans and concannon, an Irish version of mashed potato.Excellent desserts. Another nice feature is extensive quality wine list, without the mark-up often seen in restaurants. The most expensive was £26.Good, and friendly service, dishes coming promptly, without being rushed. If you are visiting Enniskillen this is the place to go, though there are other excellent restaurants.
19/08/2017: Visited the pub upstairs to see the game of thrones door. Asked if they did food but they don't. However this place is in the basement. We went down to try. We both had steaks with side of chips each and dessert. Lived every mouthful. Nicely cooked meal. Service was good too. It was quite busy too so that was also a good sign.

The Exchange

Strand, Derry
20/08/2017: Food here is always amazing and top of our list to eat out. Only thing I could fault is on 2 of our laat 4 visits there were items on our bill which were not ours. Over £25 worth of drink on our last bill which belonged to another table. I understand accidents happen but is becoming more frequent. Wont put us off returning we just make sure to check it twice!
17/08/2017: From the minute we were shown to our seat we received a very warm and quality service. The waitress helped us with our choices of lunch and the food was great. The restaurant was busy but it had a great atmosphere.

The TapHouse Enniskillen

Castlecoole, Fermanagh
20/08/2017: We ate here for a family meal. The food took a while, but was worth the wait. We were a family of 8 adults and 5 kids and everyone cleaned their plates. The staff were all outstanding, keep up the excellent work people.
20/08/2017: Lovely lunch, two burgers shared pate to start. Wine by glass and food good. Pleasant service , outside the town.

18/08/2017: An excellent eatery and bar. We brought our 2 young kids who were more than happy, we were impressed with menu and the beers in particular.

Cedar A taste of Lebanon

The Diamond, Derry
10/08/2017: Recently visited this small family restaurant for second time and again it didn't disappoint. Beautiful food, friendly staff and looking forward to returning.
09/08/2017: The food was outstanding, so nice to see food that's different and better than the usual restaurants. The service was outstanding, the staff knew all about how the dishes were prepared and I was glad I took their recommendations.

Pat's Bar & Grill

Portora, Fermanagh, <20£
30/10/2017: Very friendly staff and plenty of space
16/10/2017: We had family over from England, and after their previous visit on St Patrick's day they were desperate to visit Pats bar again. The kids loved the food and the grown ups loved the Guinness, win win!

The Point Bar and Restaurant

Magilligan, Limavady
19/08/2017: Stopped off at this quaint public house situated on the coastline. Excellent area to park up and go for long walks. On returning sit outside, relax with a drink and take in the coastal view.Warm friendly atmosphere inside the bar-very welcoming. We didn't eat at the restaurant however on the day we visited it was very busy and appears to be a popular place to eat also for people living in the area.Excellent area to visit for those of you who like to enjoy a good walk to take in the views of the coastline\headland of Ireland.
17/08/2017: Had the chowder in here again recently. The rest of the food service and staff were amazing. Chowder is the best I've had anywhere in the world. Well done Owen and staff,

Tullana on the Green

Lisnarrick, Fermanagh
17/08/2017: Sunday lunch in Fermanagh caters for, let's say....... a more mature clientele. Tullana accordingly has a traditional menu. It's all chicken, salmon and beef ;- you just know that the latter will be well done! It's a bright and modern place, with parking at the door, and it is necessary to book in advance - it was thronged by 1.30 pm. The menu has three courses plus tea/coffee for less than £18, and it is a fine alternative to a hotel carvery. We had deep fried brie as a starter, and got a whole wedge each, accompanied by sweet and sour dip.The salmon and beef were good too, and the desserts huge. Service was excellent; professional and attentive. That's something else a hotel carvery can't do.We noticed the little quarter wine bottles were only £4, when we've paid £7 elsewhere. For a superior Sunday lunch Tullana beats the local alternatives hands down.
16/08/2017: Visited for our anniversary meal with our two children. We had a lovely meal and the children's portions where a good size and reasonably priced. The service was attentive. Would recommend a visit
