19/03/2017: This restaurant is hands down, the best restaurant in Derry/Londonderry. I've been so many times I've now lost count! The food is fantastic, staff are so friendly and the atmosphere is brilliant. Best Restaurant in Northern Ireland 8 years in a row - definitely worth a visit, wherever you stay in Northern Ireland.
16/03/2017: Business lunch with four of us. We ordered from the lunch menu, and everyone was very impressed. Cooked to perfection, with an interesting menu that covers every base.Presentation of the food was excellent, and portion size was just right. Highly, highly recommended.

The Jolly Sandwich

Portora, Fermanagh
16/03/2017: My husband and I visited this little gem for a quick coffee and cake. It has every cake, pastry, drink u can imagine in a café and maybe more. Tastefully decorated and the breakfast menu sounds delicious. Can't wait to come back to try it x
15/03/2017: Passing through Enniskillen at noon so wanted something quick and tasty before carrying on driving. Quick scan through the top-10 in the smart phone app list of restaurants and we chose this one from the top of the list. Great choice it turned out to be. Cozy decor. Very polite and friendly staff. Great selection of cold and hot food all at good value. Coffee and scones in particular were worth an extra mention. Very good little cafe and rightly at the top of the list in the city's restaurants.

Kove Restaurant

Castlecoole, Fermanagh
18/03/2017: Our two night stay at the hotel included breakfast and an evening meal from the A La Carte menu. Firstly the decor is wonderful and modern, with ample daylight at breakfast and superb views to a more subtle and elegant lighting for evening dinner. The breakfast is buffet style and there is a choice of cheese, cold meats, yoghurts, pastries, croissants, toast and a pancake machine (which the kids loved). For cooked breakfast there is sausage, bacon, white and black pudding, fried and scrambled, mushroom and tomatoes and potato and soda bread. Plenty of food and excellent service. For dinner we had Brie, salmon terrine and kids had melon and garlic bread with cheese. For main we had poached fish and chicken supreme, whilst kids had carbonara and chicken tenders and chips. Dessert was apple crumble and custard and sticky toffee pudding. The food was absolutely amazing, well presented, tasted delicious and plenty of it. The service was first class and the chefs decorated a plate of cupcakes for my little daughters 5th birthday celebration. Again a faultless experience and definitely a must eat in restaurant!!
09/02/2017: Dined here whilst staying in the hotel on a short break. The food was excellent in both terms of flavor, quality and presentation, A lovely smart restaurant with great attentive staff. I could not fault it.

Cafe Merlot

Portora, Fermanagh
16/03/2017: Called into cafe merlot on Tuesday evening as it was recommended by a friend only to be told they where busy lesson to be learnt is to book even mid week
15/03/2017: From a strangers point of view it was tricky to find even using my Sat Nav? It was so easy once you knew it sat at the back of the pub on the main street called William Blakes? Just ask the bar staff to direct you on entering through. They were painting the place in parts, which I was not bothered by, as it showed they cared and took an interest in their Pub/Cafe. Downstairs it was akin to an Italian Traverno. It was very clean and the Waiters were excellent, and on the ball.I ordered the Salt & Chilli chicken for starters. It came out on a bed of slate, and the chicken sat on top of noodles. It was delish!!I then had the 10oz Rib Eye Steak cooked medium. The Chef got it 100% right. It was packed full of flavour and was mouth wateringly fabulous. The plan is to return very soon. A top find for me and I was delighted with the whole experience.

QUAYWEST

Strand, Derry, <20£
18/03/2017: Visited Quaywest with the family. We were greeted warmly and showed to our seats after a couple of minutes. Our drinks orders were taken promptly. The cocktails were really good (I loved the Quaywest cooler). Everyone enjoyed their mains. I highly recommend the chorizo chicken which was fab. 3 of us ordered desserts which were okay overall. I ordered the baked Alaska which I wouldn't rate. Waitors do not take payment at your table which seems bizarre. They also don't accept Amex which is annoying. Overall our visit was good and would come again.
17/03/2017: The first thing I noticed as soon as I walked into quay west was the interior, it was amazing! Downstairs there are nice long tables in front of the bar that had tv screens built in, the bar itself had a huge mirror behind it with colourful writing advertising their cocktail flavours, and cosy seating booths a bit further away from the bar that I saw people eating in so I'm assuming can order food there also. We were then seated upstairs for food, some of the tables can actually look down at the bar, the upstairs sort out outlines downstairs if that makes sense. The food itself was stunning, our table ordered chilli nachos and garlic bread to share and both of these items were extremely fast to arrive and were fresh and tasty. I ordered the chicken carbonara as my main and that was also incredible, my fiancé was impressed with her chicken fillet with tobacco onions and pepper sauce. The waiters/waitresses were very fast and very polite. Would definitely come here again!

The Catalina Restaurant

Derrygonnelly, Fermanagh, >100£
15/02/2017: My wife and I dined her over a St Valentine's Day break and had a superb meal and service that was second to none. We arrived at our due time and were quickly shown to our table, the server introduced herself, explained what the special of the day was and after giving us some menus left us alone for a few minutes to make our selections. When she returned she asked if we needed more time and did not pressure us into making any rash decisions, she took our wine order and on returning with the wine took our order. My wife had the mushroom ravioli and thought it was beautiful, I against my better judgement opted for the Kilkeel crab dish and found it a little underwhelming, this was purely my fault as I am not a great lover of seafood but was trying to be adventurous. It looked delicious and I am sure that those with a taste for seafood would have found it superb. For her main my wife had the hake, pan fried with Tarogan oil and said it was fantastic, I returned to my usual and had the fillet steak which was to die for, cooked exactly as ordered and served with root vegetables. For dessert we both had the Chocolate Delice and it was delicious. Overall the meal was soperb anf the service outstanding. We will certainly return in the near future.
08/01/2017: We booked a resort break with our family for New years eve. As part of our package we delighted in the tasting menu which was delightful. From start to finish each course was cooked to perfection by Noel and his team. There was just enough to satisfy all our appetites. The service we received was excellent as always and if anything my only minor complaint would be if anything they could have afforded to allow a little more time between courses.

Walled City Brewery

Ebrington, Derry
14/03/2017: Loved the decor, really different and cool vibe in comparison to any other venue in Derry. Nice buzz about the place, and I'd imagine it'll be a good spot in the summertime. Exceptional staff I have to say, very friendly and really knowledgeable about what they have to offer food and drinks wise. Fantastic craft beers, especially the "Derry Milk" stout and cocktails on offer are a far cry from Derry's signature Strawberry daiquiri! They offer good, tasty, no frills food at a reasonable price. These guys are doing a great job, keep it up!
13/03/2017: Hi allLet me say this first ...the food here is beautiful, however, I was sorely disappointed when the waitress told me that they had no diet drinks on the menu. My father is diabetic and injects 4 times a day and doesn't get out often. He enjoys a few Bacardi now and again. So I was really disappointed that he couldn't have a drink that night due to the place not stocking any diet drinks. Might consider going back if they sort this out.Try it out and see folks the food is lovely. Very different to ur usual tabacco onion piled plates in other places.

Fitzroys

The Diamond, Derry, <20£
19/03/2017: Went for dinner on Saturday 18 March great food great service very friendly staff next time in the maiden city will be returning Martin from Belfast
17/03/2017: Today we had a wonderful experience at Fitzroys. I was dining with my Wife and my daughter and my very confident 3 yr old daughter asked the main manager John if she could take home a St Patrick days ballon and John responded by promising her that he would give her a ballon after she had finished her meal. When we finished our meal with were in a huge rush as our taxi's were waiting but John stayed true to his promise and rushed outside, stopped the taxi and handed my daughter the ballon he had promised. It made my daughter's day and I was very impressed with the length he went to despite the restaurant being extremely busy. The food was excellent as it always is, the Service we received from Catriona was second to none and my wife really enjoyed the 'our Paddy' cocktail. Unbelievable experience, we will be going back.

Clogher Valley Golf Club

Brookeborough, Fermanagh
12/02/2017: Went as a family today for Sunday lunch. Ages 5 - 70 and everyone had a great choice. Even one has a Dairy free diet and it was no problem to them. The restaurant has been refurbished since we had been there last. The place is so welcoming and comfortable, the staff fantastic and the food tasty, fresh and served quickly.
11/02/2017: My wife and I called in on a Saturday night. Everything was perfect, the meal, the staff, the bill. We could not fault any of the evening.
