Belle Vue Bistro

Castle, Swansea, 20-30£
18/03/2017: After spending a pleasant morning at the Egypt exhibition in Swansea University, we stopped here for lunch before a walk around Swansea indoor market and then home. For starters we had the Calamari and the Mozzarella salad. The Calamari was excellent but I thought the Mozzarella, whilst pleasant, would have benefited from some seasoning i.e more/some salt as it lacked a little flavor for me?For main I had the chicken fillet with Cajun spices and my partner one of the homemade pizza's, both were very tasty.Service was pleasant and attentive and we will return.
18/03/2017: what can I say? This place is by far the nicest in Swansea, the food never disappoints and the service is always brilliant

Oystermouth, Swansea

16/03/2017: Hands down the best ice cream parlour.Superb fresh vanilla ice cream. An iconic establishment in Swansea. Must visit.

Cafe Citta

Cathays, Cardiff
19/03/2017: Love , Love this place ...Make reservations! It's well loved by others too! The food is authentic Italian. We ordered a pizza as an appetizer .(.Had to taste because it looked so delicious) amazing!!!
18/03/2017: Given all the great reviewers, we having been wanting to try this restaurant for a while. We finally managed to book a table for dinner. We booked for 7pm & were told we had the table until 9pm which was fine. The service was very very friendly & attentive. We were just a bit disappointed with the food. Although it was nice & tasty, it was nothing special. Given all the previous reviews we thought it would be exceptional. Our expectations were probably too high. I think I would probably go back for a lunchtime meal but I don't think I would go back for dinner.

Nata & Co

Adamsdown, Cardiff
18/03/2017: What a wonderful place. so cheap and so good.Very friendly staff and plenty of products to chose from.
18/03/2017: This is a great little find. All the amazing pastries were so fresh and very good prices too. It was our favourite discovery in Cardiff - definitely worth a visit.

Afternoon Tea at the Angel

3 offers
Grofield, Monmouthshire
14/03/2017: My girlfriend went on a Friday afternoon for the excellent high tea at the Angel. The staff couldn't have been more helpful - a couple chatted to us about the food and another about the exceptional list of different teas (we were encouraged to try multiple teas each throughout the course of the visit - all included in the price). The food itself was also great - nice selection of sandwiches, warm savoury pastries, mandarin trifle, fresh scones with cream and jam, and a large range of different cakes. So much we couldn't finish them all so the staff helpfully packed them into a little box to take away. Really enjoyed it and would go again.
06/03/2017: First visit for me to this hotel. Impressed with the interior decor, very stylish. The staff are very attentive and helpful, especially the lady who served our tea. There was a good selection of sandwiches, thankfully not the tiny ones cut into fingers. A selection of warm savouries including quiche and sausage rolls, lovely mini cakes, little orange trifles and scones. The choice of different teas available was vast and we could have tried more than one if we wanted, but one was really sufficient for us. Good value for money and enjoyable overall experience.

The Brit Pub

Bryn and Cwmavon, Neath Port Talbot, 20-30£
17/07/2017: Lovely pub with amazing food and an even more amazing selection of different types of gin. Great staff and service. The dormitory style rooms are great too. Very comfortable and clean.
17/07/2017: One of favorite places to eat, great food, selection of cask ales, gins and also high tea

Castle, Swansea, 30-45£
18/03/2017: Great choice of international tapas in this stylish modern restaurant. Recommend the jerk chicken in particular, really lovely. We ordered three tapas each and that made 15 dishes between five, which was a good quantity. Liked the idea of writing our choices onto one menu. If you like grazing .... then this classy place is for you.
16/03/2017: Visited Mosaic for the first time last night. We were warmly welcomed by the owners, and the staff were really friendly. The food was out of this world, in fact the sweet potato fries and jamaican jerk duck just burst flavour in my mouth.Every element of our meal was fantastic.(The garlic bread was to ie for!!) Will definately be back very soon.

The Clink Restaurant

Adamsdown, Cardiff, 20-30£
18/03/2017: A visit to Cardiff to see the Red Shoes, we decided to try out The Clink- the food is of a high standard, surpassing usual restaurant offerings. The guys serving us were great fun. Starters of pigeon and terrine were delicious, the scallop and arancini middle courses continued to impress. Mains were well presented, well cooked, and left no room for the substantial puds.Be aware of no alcohol, can recommend the elderflower bubbly
18/03/2017: Really good food, good service. Worth coming back! I recommend that place. Everything was just perfect

Chai Street

Gabalfa, Cardiff, <20£
16/03/2017: Been here a few times and have never been disappointed. The food is delicious, reasonably priced and with the relaxed atmosphere you have a great combination! The menu is basic, but offers something for everyone... The chef special Thali is fresh and vibrant and their roti's are a perfect snack for lunch. The restaurant itself is not big so go early or book to avoid disappointment. I can see this establishment opening more and more restaurants and long may it continue.
13/03/2017: If you want authentic cooking this is it. The tastes in the Thali are like nothing I've had in the UK before, took me straight back to Mumbai! The prices are reasonable too and service was great. I'll definitly be back to try more dishes.

New York Deli

Cathays, Cardiff
19/03/2017: This is a good place to eat where you have little time and starving. I ordered the Richie parks hoagie which is salt beef, metled swiss, gherkins. All of it was amazing altho it is so large it got cold before I finished. Considering the size and the price it is rely good value quality. Not something I could have every week but certainly worth multiple visits.
17/03/2017: Visited the Deli for the first time today after several years - was reminded firstly how good the food is and secondly how much they give you to eat. This was a venue years ahead of its time when it first opened years ago. It has retained its originality and friendliness whilst providing a huge range of sandwiches, rolls and hoagies. Great value, great welcome and I will be back soon.

Mezza Luna

Plasnewydd, Cardiff, 20-30£
10/07/2017: Simply the best middle-eastern food in Cardiff. And the service is superb. Award winning & easy to see why, 10/10.
05/06/2017: Fantastic people great venue food fab

Poco Poco

Morfa, Bridgend, >100£
13/03/2017: 5 of us went here on a thursday night for a birthday meal. We ate from the specials board, i had 3 courses, a pepsi and coffee for less than £20. The place was at full capacity and the service was fantastic. Meals were served very quickly and everything was served hot. All tables were served in order of arrival and all tables had their meals very quickly. I had never been here before, but i will be coming back & recommending this place to others.
12/03/2017: Partner and I read reviews and thought we had to visit, we had not booked and the restaurant was very busy we was asked if we had booked said no but the young gentlemen got us a table which was very kind, we ordered few tapas food was beautiful taste and generous serving, service was very attentive you could not ask anything more. We came from Barry to visit and will defiantly come back . Thankyou

Cathays, Cardiff, <20£
15/03/2017: Visited the Madeira on a Tuesday lunchtime and was astonished to find the restaurant full with only one table free! The 2 course set lunch is very good value. We both had chicken liver pate and then a cutlet of pan fried hake and a sirloin steak to follow accompanied by veg of the day and delicious light and crispy cubed fries.Service was friendly and professional - worth a visit.
15/03/2017: £10.95 for two courses at The Madeira (Lunchtime Menu) is an absolute bargain. Service is outstanding, the staff are so happy and helpful. But... it's all about the food & its sooooooo good. Can't wait to go back!

Mina Restaurant

Cathays, Cardiff, >100£
18/03/2017: Visited last night for my husband's birthday. Food delicious, freshly cooked and generous portions. Lot's of variety on menu to suit all. To full for dessert,, but the complimentary pastries that came with the bill were delicious. Good value for money. Highly recommend a visit to this lovely restaurant.
18/03/2017: Authentic (mostly) Lebanese/middle eastern style cuisine, so don't expect pork. Great meze starters, wonderfully tender and spiced lamb and chicken and one of the few places in the UK outside of London where one can buy the famed chateau musar. All very affordable and with a great atmosphere.
