The stowaway coffee co.

Tenby: South, Pembrokeshire
18/02/2017: We love The Stowaway!! We've holidayed in Tenby every summer for the last 5 years or so, and The Stowaway is our favourite cafe! Crispin and his team are always welcoming and very friendly. The food is delicious and the coffee is very good indeed! It's a cosy, sweet, nook for sheltering on a blustery day, and a great place to pick up everything you need for a sunny day on the beach! Highlights include freshly made crab sandwiches (get in early, they go quickly) and the cheesy chorizo panini! I highly recommend!
27/12/2016: Great coffee superb service and happy friendly staff what more can u ask. A great place to visit for lunch or a coffee an cake session

Y Polyn

Llanddarog, Carmarthenshire, 30-45£
25/02/2017: Came here for a birthday meal as had been here some years back and had a lovely meal. This time there is a set meal for a Saturday evening priced at £35 each. I don't like puddings so my husband asked the Scottish gentleman who took our order (we believe he is the owner) if there was an option to have 2 courses and he blatantly said if we didn't have the third course we would have to pay for it anyway, not the kind of attitude you would expect! We would have preferred a larger range on the menu, no chicken, lamb or pork on there so we had difficulty finding something we liked. Food was well cooked and presented well and staff were very attentive. My husband ordered fish but it had cockles with it which overpowered the taste of the fish and the Cheesecake base a little hard. We have had better meals elsewhere and although it's nice there, we won't be returning...sorry.
20/02/2017: Fantastic venue, superb food and brilliant atmosphere. Whether you are attending for lunch or supper these guys really know how to do it. Locally sourced food. No foam! Perfect

The Canteen

Newport, Pembrokeshire
25/02/2017: Limited choice but food was amazing. The staff were so helpful and everything was served with a smile. Would definitely go there again!
23/02/2017: Visitor to Newport on a regular basis as family based here. Whether getting take away pizza or eating in as a family this place never dissapoints, always excellent friendly service, efficient and outstanding quality food. Well done on a well run establishment.

Carmarthen Town South, Carmarthenshire
25/02/2017: First time here for a while and I must say I won't be rushing to go back. Food was very basic not much quantity and the quality was awful. All four of us complained that the food was tasteless and bland a supermarket takeaway would have been better.
24/02/2017: Popped in on the off chance. Got seated straight away. Food was great. Service was really friendly. Only sad that we were too full to try the banana fritter that we saw somebody else eat.

The Shed Bistro

Llanrhian, Pembrokeshire, 20-30£
24/02/2017: Great little place tucked away down some narrow lanes, well worth the effort of finding it. It's a small place so booking is essential. Good selection of fresh fish and other choice if that's not your thing. The little harbour area has a lot of industrial history that is quite in imposing especially on a grey wet winters day, it must look spectacular in a summers evening, will be back to see when the warmer weather arrives.
24/02/2017: Just enjoyed John Dory and Monkfish very fresh and quick too also lovely cheerful service, easy parking in a quirky, sweet village with a little harbour and a wonderful old lime kiln.

St. David's, Pembrokeshire, 30-45£
22/02/2017: We ate here during a visit to St Davids. A small and intermit restaurant with a very friendly team, all of whom were very well rehearsed in their delivery of service and food. The restaurant is in the centre of the city, with street parking free after 6pm, that said parking in the city isn't expensive and there are a number of car parks scattered close to the centre.I had the Sea Bass and my wife had the lamb, both of which were very nice, Cwtch clearly deserved it's Trip Advisor rating. This time of year St David's is quiet, yet on a Monday night the restaurant was nearly full, so I would suggest booking in advance, just be safe.
21/02/2017: a very cozy and delicious sunday lunch venue. Book ahead, as it is small and cozy (cwtch)! service was informal and friendly. Good honest home cooking, a good wine list and tasty desserts.

Narberth, Pembrokeshire
25/02/2017: if You don't open yourself to chat to people whilst on holiday, you will miss the gems. We were recommended this Spanish jewel in the crown in an upmarket Greengrocers by a man who said you can never get a table it is so popular. That is always a good find so undeterred, we went further up the high street to see what the fuss was all about. the deli was groaning under delicious Spanish cheeses and charcuterie and there was plenty of laughter coming out of the back of the restaurant. We were lucky. It was mid week in half-term. Artistic culinary feast. Tapas of rabbit, quince, baked goats cheeses, etc. Picasso would be proud!
24/02/2017: This place is amazing, excellent staff, food out of this world.we arrived about 12 on a Saturday lunch time ,its was quite busy already, we waited in line for a short time, we were given a place on a large table which we shared with Other guests.we had an amazing afternoon and look forward to another time

Newport, Pembrokeshire, 30-45£
02/12/2016: My husband and I dined at Cnapan whenever possible during the long time the Lloyd/Cooper family has been running. Lately, eating there with friends the meals have been better than ever. The attention to detail is quite amazing and there is such a friendly atmosphere. But the tragedy is that the restaurant is closing and Judi, Mike and their son Oliver, will be resting during the evenings, apart from special occasions for a larger gathering, I am told. Nevertheless the Bed and Breakfast will still be available and I am told by various friends that just that experience is very worthwhile. Thanks Judi and Mike and I wish you a happy retirment and shall work on reasons to have one of those "larger gatherings".
14/11/2016: We heard that the owners of Cnapan were retiring and decided we had to have one last dinner with our local friends. So we travelled from Sussex for the occasion, we had a superb evening meal which will be long remembered. So just to wish Michael and Judith well for the future and thanks for so many memorable meals and happy evenings when we have been on holiday in the area.

Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire, 20-30£
22/02/2017: Staying in the area to celebrate a birthday and decided to book the Mulberry for my birthday meal. The staff were very friendly and the Sommelier was excellent. Food was of a very high quality and everyone enjoyed.
22/02/2017: There were four of us on a wet Wednesday evening but despite the lack of patrons was very enjoyable. It was the day after Valentine's Night so trade was quiet. The menu provided a good choice of food - from starter to dessert. There was also a fixed price menu which provided a reasonable. This did have one drawback in that if you liked one or two courses you could not have something off the main menu as a substitute if you failed to find something on the a la carte menu unless you paid individual prices. The service was excellent. One minus point on this night was all the vegetables were green; could have done with a vegetable with a little colour to give a little colour to meal. A minor problem.

The Kings Arms

St. Ishmael, Carmarthenshire
23/02/2017: The kings Arms is a amazing place the sizzling steak my favourite, I eat it every time unless it's on a Sunday I have a lovely half and half dinner. Its gorgeous I will eat it again and again. I had the best waitresses ever I even left a tip as they were so polite thank you Amy and Kay it was a great night also thanks for all the amazing magic tricks from the landlord Calvin.
19/02/2017: We celebrated Valentine's Day last evening at the Kings Arms. What a great night. We enjoyed a wonderful meal. The best Chateaux Briande we had ever tasted and for a Londoner, having eaten in many of the best restaurants - that was no mean achievement. Calvin and the staff were as welcoming and friendly as ever. Bob and the Bois, the house band, were on top form and played the night away with a variety of wonderful songs from different eras. Thank you for making Valentine 2017 such a happy and memorable occasion.

Tafarn Morlais

Llangennech, Carmarthenshire
22/02/2017: Visited for family lunch and had not been before. The transformation, from what the location used to be like, is amazing. Really friendly staff and the food was beautiful. There were about 10 of us eating, including children, and there were no complaints from anyone. Compliments to the staff and chef! We will definitely be returning. Many thanks.
19/02/2017: Excellent food. Cooked perfectly. Lovely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend! Party of 12 friends, each meal served together. Lovely service!

Top Joes

Tenby: South, Pembrokeshire
24/02/2017: Possibly the best pizza outside of Italy. We had the Vegetale and Le Capre. Both were superb. The base was light and crispy. The toppings generous. Staff were friendly and helpful. The only pizza I have had that was as good or better was in a small authentic pizzeria in a back street in Venice.
19/02/2017: Called in on off chance during half term - busy but they got us a table! Great pizzas - very authentic - lovely atmosphere - nice wine & beer too. Would highly recommend a visit

Sue's pantry saundersfoot

Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire
25/02/2017: The cup cakes actually taste as good as they look and the apple and raspberry slice was gorgeous. Be warned - you will keep going back!
23/02/2017: Good place to use when in Saundersfoot a great range of cupcakes and can always get a good pasty. All the cakes and Pastries look delicious but tend to sell out of some so be quick!

Plum Vanilla Cafe

Narberth, Pembrokeshire
21/02/2017: Very impressed with the standard of the food. The coffee was excellent too. Had a short wait for a table - an illustration of how popular this delightful little place is. Some unusual things on the menu, a pleasant change.
18/02/2017: It was lovely to find a great new cafe when we returned to Narberth last week. Plum Vanilla is obviously popular with locals and visitors so get there early if you want a table. Food looks and smells great. Cakes are also fab. Nice shop next door as well with plenty of goodies. Not cheap but then nothing good in the area is. You get what you pay for. We will definitely be back on our next visit.
