AleOli y Tu in Shropshire

Food was lovely, but delivery was a little disjointed. I know that to traditionally order Tapas you order small plates ‘as you go’ and hence enjoy a long leisurely meal, but we knew we were on a timer for the table so just ordered our tapas’s all at the same time, and decided to enjoy our feast all together. ( I know it’s not possible to enjoy a traditional hours long tapas dinner in the u.k., so it wouldve been better to have all the plates delivered at the same time rather than eating what the kitchen could cook the quickest first)The food came out in bits and drabs, often with quite long waits in between (again i know this is traditionally what happens but only when ordered in bits and drabs) so was a little disappointing. Desserts were the same, one dessert came out 10 minutes before the other dessert arrived (there’s no excuse for this). Also….the dreaded ‘service charge’🤦‍♀️…..we were happy to pay it, but the u.k. is not America and you’re actually doing your staff and yourselves a disservice by automatically applying it…we would’ve ‘tipped’ more but having that choice taken out of our hands we just paid and left. I would return again but not for dinner x

The food was excellent. Chorizo was the best we've ever had. Service was very good. However, we followed the recommendation on the menu of having 5/6 dishes and still left hungry, despite having a bread and potato dish. We also booked a table and we were placed in the front window. This resulted in my better half having to wear her coat as she was so cold.

Booked for a pre theatre meal on a very wet evening. Good service and very tasty food, but not quite the choice of menu items that we have seen at other tapas restaurants. Would definitely go again. Very well placed and set up for pre theatre meals.

Having recently moved to Shrewsbury we're on the look out for some really good food. We arrived here and the decor was cute, the tables were intimate and the food was outstanding! Service was a little slow to begin with but this was completely forgivable when the owner came to our table! She was extremely accommodating, she recommended some beautiful dishes, the cod skewers were worth a particular mention! Beautifully cooked, light batter and so flaky, absolutely on point! The is a wonderful restaurant with great food, ambiance and fantastic staff who are so welcoming and knowledgeable, we have now eaten here three times and ever time it gets more special as the staff now recognise us.
