Aroma Grill in Torbay

Order fairly regularly from this place and usually get great food. Tonight this was not the case. Fries arrived cold, chicken was barely covered in sauce and looked overcooked, halloumi looked as though it was given 3 minutes of daylight to cook. Rang up to query this and they were not interested in the slightest and "had done their best". If that's their best then they have lost a customer. Their giggle down the phone topped it off.

The best I have ever ever eaten I’m craving it right now as I speak the food is just 10/10 I’m so sad I live 5hours away very juicy tastey chicken and chips are 10/10 to very tasty food than you

I had camed with my family….but was very cold…inside. We were surprised…over the coldness of the whole place. We just hurry to eat…and went out straight away.

My partner and I have just had a delicious lemon and herb platter. We ordered through just eat. Arrived hot and fresh. Definitely reccomend and we will be ordering again!

Absolutely impressed with this place. I’m here from London and I wanted a good halal restaurant. Aroma grill ticked all my boxes and took me by big surprise. Honestly just come and try you will love it 👏👏

Food was great, the fried chicken was one of the best I’ve had. Crispy and fresh, not oily or too salty. Other was decent, great presentation overall. Wasn’t too impressed with milkshake either. A bit on the pricey side. The place could really do with an update and a massive clean, especially upstairs.

We’ve had the mixed platter tonight, all hot. We have totally enjoyed the meal we ordered.

Went in when it was empty and the staff member just stood on his phone way off behind the counter even after I said hello and waited. Someone else was in there, talking to him too... Didn't even order I just walked out again.

Absolutely fuming, ordered over £30 worth of food and when it was delivered half of it was missing - called the restaurant and was told that the just eat delivery driver probably stole it and that we needed to take it up with them ? The bag was completely sealed so that was clearly a lie but regardless we asked for the rest of our food to be sent again because it wasn't our fault and they refused to send us anything and told us if we were wanted our food we had to order and pay for it again ??! After repeatedly arguing back and forth they still refused to send us our food so we are now trying to get our money back from just eat but still don't have our food.... disgusting customer service.

Food was nice !!!only issue was they charge for chilli sauce 80p each and chicken was bit dry so I had to order few sauces otherwise it was good place. One advise please clean your window side upstairs. It's not nice to see. Overall nice place

Excellent place. Food is tasty. Peri burger, rice with peri strips. Very nice. Trendy place with plenty of space. We were visiting paington and were a group of 10-12 people. Found this place online, paid a visit and was surprised how good it was. A must try if you visiting paignton.

My boyfriend ordered two double peri peri chicken wraps, was incredible with the peri peri chips we got two milkshakes and they were outstanding, outstanding customer service, delivery driver was lovely. all round an amazing place to go, would highly recommend!

Highly impressed by this halal restaurant. We got the full chicken peri platter with a side of aroma rice, sweet potato fries and a bottle of Coke for around £22. The aroma rice were so-so, heavy on the whole spices which I'm not a particular fan of but the sweet potato fries were to die for. Amazingly crispy and fresh, I don't know how they did it as I've always had them soggy everywhere else. Not a full 5-star though just because the decor could do with an update, the bathroom doesn't really lock, and the floor was weirdly sticky. But the food, as well as the presentation, was incredible! I would definitely come back here again.

Rude staff, who has no responsibility for the customer at the shop. Instead they will make you wait and tell they have many online orders to deliver. Not sure why they make you wait if they have no place to eat. Also not sure why they are so rude. Never recommended this place. (for record it wasn't 50 people, we asked for 3)

Been there to order a platter, asked me to wait while they kept on taking more and more orders. After more than half an hour they came and said I have to wait an hour to get my food. Finally when food came they said they are giving what they have, and what I ordered is finished. Staff was very disrespectful.

Went there over the weekend after a hike at Dartmoor. Place is not clean, staffs are rude and disrespectful. Left the place after they making me wait around 15 to 20 minutes and still not taking any order. Mean time I have seen them taking many online orders.

Location is spot on. The interior is well designed. Neglect in cleanliness is very much evident from stairs, windows, doors and toilet. I wish the owners of the business ramp up their attention on cleaning the premises in a better way. Staff did not appear to have passion in what they do, seemed very mechanical. Excellent food, but worried to go there again due to cleanliness issues. Pls do something about it. A well wisher.

After ordering our 1st takeaway 3 months ago it was great. The 2nd time very average so gave it the benefit of the doubt and ordered another tonight which will be the last. The chicken was like rubber The burger was disgusting and dry and as for the curly fries..they were something else. Just pure batter like crisps with zero potato inside and tasteless. Wont be wasting £30 in here again that's for sure.

Ordered food via just eat, food was dumped on my doorstep for 20 mins until I went out to see if the driver was lost. Phoned aroma grill and clearly stated it was not their problem and they would not be interested in taking it further with just eat. They get the orders and send the food, there happy as long as they get paid. Terrible customer service skills.

A delicious halal meal the whole family really enjoyed. Great to see a mix of people eating in/takewaying. Went for chicken mixed platter - meats perfectly cooked and delicious med spice level; some of the best whole Peri peri chicken we've eaten in UK. Plenty of space upstairs and friendly service. Toilets could do with modernising for sure and would have given 5stars otherwise.

Our first night in Torquay and we were looking for somewhere quiet to have a meal. We saw the aroma grill. I ordered a gourmet double burger with fries and my Lady had a Lebanese chicken wrap. They were both so delicious. We ate downstairs but I think they have room upstairs.

Poor customer service the guys working their lack basic communication skills. Hygiene is poor can't even clean tables properly and had to remind them to give drinks and plates

Aroma grill certainly is a good name for this kebab, as a odd stench of rubbish transcended it's way inside of the building, staff seemed very desperate for a review, almost like the drink would be good, It wasn't, it was average!

Horrible experience!we visited Torquay for the first time and I was checking a place to eat and stay inside for an hour until our toddler could get a rest. This came up in the area with so good reviews -that are absolutely misleading.we ordered food for over 30£, including a kids menu,and obviously I regretted it!We ordered food and we went upstairs to sit at the table,can't describe the state of the room:really dirty,sticky floor, I'm not going to even mention the restroom couse I have no words for the horendous date.i never came across a setting that offers food in such state.so please think twice if you are planning to eat there!.

Ordered food and waited 2 hours for it to be delivered they also lied and said it will be half an hour when in-fact it took them 2 hours!! very appalling customer services! Highly not recommended!! Food is over priced for what you get!

Ate here last night and honestly I have been stuck on the toilet since. Staff didn’t have much communication skills but what really upset me was the state of the upstairs seating area. I wouldn’t dream of eating here again. deffo got some kind of food poisoning. Also they genuinely do stand outside the restaurant staring at teenagers walking past. Avoid !

Food was amazing, we tried the burger/ chips and whole chicken. The chicken strips and wings too absolutely incredible. Definitely would have again. Food was hot and so much flavour.

Looked for a local Halal restaurant. Google came up with this one. We checked the reviews before we went to see what customers thought of their experience. I must say we were not disappointed! The food was really good, and at a reasonable price. Good food portions. Definitely recommended by my family.

Had alot of burgers from all over torquay but never like the one i had tonight with out doubt the best burger I've ever ordered it was delicious,I would highly recommend to all you burger lovers out there to eat/order from here it was amazing.

Used to be really good 4/5 star but last 2 orders have been dry tasteless and just generally poor all round. Don't know if new staff, cutting costs or the fact they can't handle it when they are busy but 90 mins for the food and I'd of rather got kfc and I hate KFC 😂

Ordered the gourmet burger with extra cheese peri fries and grilled haloumi. Gourmet burger was bland and didn't get the extra cheese I paid for. The peri fries was a bag of fries with a portion of peri seasoning and I ended up opening a bag to find 3 garlic bread instead of grilled haloumi. Let down The chips wasn't bad once I had seasoned them myself 🙈

I liked the chicken wings and chips. Lovely taste. However, the wrap sizes were not generous. Prices are a bit high for the amount of food they give. The upstairs seating area and toilet was not clean enough and no soap to wash your hands!!

Stopped here while we were in town for a quick bite to eat. The food, I'd say was below average. We both feel a bit dodgie since leaving. The thing that shocked me the most, unfortunately this was after we'd ordered the food was how dirty it was upstairs where we had sat. It was utterly disgusting!!!! For somewhere that has a rating of 5 it was filthy!!! The chairs, the tables, the window cill was caked in dust and grime. The toilet looked like it hadn't been cleaned for weeks. Disgusting!!!! Avoid at all costs!!!

Ordered food through just eat, waited an hour and didn't arrive, tried repeatedly to call aroma Grill and it has been engaged for 30 mins. Just eat states food has been delivered which means someone must of clicked the button and ignored the order but taken the money. Had food previously and has always been lovely but have had issues with delivery times which has seriously let it down. Hit and miss when consistency should be key

Excellent food, clean place, healthy options available, plenty of choice! I would recommend the peri peri chicken, mild flavour. Chips are nice or salad if you prefer the healthy option.

I have been before and the food is normally to a good standard and tasty. Recently I ordered a wrap which after a few bites I looked into my wrap and there was a dark hair sticking out. This really put me off the rest of it. Curly fries good as always. I don’t know if they wear hair nets or something but they really should. The chicken for some reason this time was quite hard. Shame the standard is not the same as usual.

Nice food but not the biggest vegan or vegetarian section meat eater myself so not a issue for me but not alot of choice if not were vegan or vegetarian

Had delivery of peri peri chicken platter plus other bits the other evening, it was better than expected, food superb, service quicker than advertised, best takeaway we’ve had in over a year, will definitely have again when we can have family to share, highly recommended.

The falafel wrap hadn't even been wrapped, the falafel in the 'wrap' was painfully dry and hard, making it very difficult to chew, I gave up torturing myself part way through. The spicy bean wrap was slightly better in the fact it was actually wrapped, however it contained a handful of poor quality salad and what very closely resembled value range frozen bean burgers. The sweet potato fries were cold and the hallomi smelled like it had been cooked on a grill with meat. If I wanted to eat such low quality food, I could have nipped to my local shop, turned the oven on and saved £25. Would not recommend

Ordered tonight I understand we’re in a pandemic but 2 hours for a delivery is abit extreme, when an order takes that long to arrive you wish you had ordered more, chips were cold Lebanese chicken was spicy as ever I wish I had a milkshake to wash it down Don’t think I’ll be ordering again for awhile

We ordered our food over two hours ago (update....it got to 11.30pm - nearly 5 hours after we placed our order before they contacted us and by then it was too late) and our food still hasn’t arrived. When we tried to ring, their phone line is constantly engaged. We’ve messaged them on messenger and they haven’t replied. But they’ve taken our money. It’s the first time we have ordered from them and we were really looking forward to it judging by the other reviews. So disappointed.

the first time we ordered and picked up our delivery was fantastic however this was on a monday evening , so then ordered again on the friday evening and had the worst service 2 and a half hour wait after 3 phone calls to chase the order absolutely no apology , gutted as this was for my partners birthday , ended up cooking ourselves and refused the delivery when it finally turned up
