Staff were very friendly, the food was very nice and not overly priced, there was a decent selection of beers, including two cask ales and the place was clean and interestingly decorated. Would definitely recommend and would definitely visit again.

Guy behind the bar was so rude, would not recommend. We didn't get to try the food, when we sat at the bar the guy was very rude so much so we immediately left.

Cute little spot for a chilled evening meal - good drinks selection and the vegan platter was out of the world. The pâté wasn't fresh or local which was a bit of a shame, but other than that it was all perfect.

Further to the experience of other dog owners, we would rate this establishment as 1 star - would have rated zero stars if it was possible. My husband entered the premises and was told that there was a table available for the 2 of us and our small dog. We sat down and our little dog lay quietly under the table, as she always does. The waitress came over a minute afterwards to say that our dog was upsetting some other dogs (even though she was lying quietly under the table) and we were asked to leave. Totally unnecessary and embarrassing. Never in 6yrs has this happened before. Sounds to me as though they don't want dogs in there (even if well behaved). Definitely would not recommend to any dog lovers, as clearly they aren't.

A Mecca. Such an easy place to be, drink beer or wine, and have good food. The charcuterie and cheese boards are a big hit, deservedly so. Even when busy, the service is friendly and welcoming. I love this joint.

If you like tasty food that's not run of the mill, they have very tasty charcouterie and salads with pickles.It's also licenced to sell alcoholic beverages if you're interested. My meal there was cheaper than the one I had at the delicatessen close to Golden Square.

Little gem in Berwick-upon-Tweed. Located very in the town centre however along one of quieter streets. 3 minutes walk from Premier Inn. Neighbouring with The Walls and River Tweed. Seemingly random yet thought through decor. Bit of shabby chique and brik a brac mixed today however it all creates a unique space which instantly make you feel cosy and safe. Eclectic crowd. Busy. Excellent choice of draught beers, wines, artesian beverages plus absolutely delicious food freshly prepared on the premises. Had two small plates, charcuterie board, pint of lager and wine which all was nicely served, fresh and delicious. Small deli too. Nice cakes available. Staff members very attentive and helpful. Wish more places like this were across the UK. Good value for money too!

Was driving through the area and happened to stop here. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, a lovely little buzz, and the food and service were fantastic. A great place to stop for a bite and to savour a little chic in Berwick upon Tweed.

A friend recommended this little place to try as it was supposed to be dog friendly, it turned out it wasn't my little dog barked once and the owner made it plain that we would have to leave if this continued, he wasn't very friendly himself....won't be going back.

We were on our way to another place to eat but looking through the window this was obvious the place to go. A small place and very popular on a wet Monday evening. There are no full meals available but some great meat and vegetarian plates with intelligently combined ingredients. Service is very quick and friendly.

Booked a week in advance for a table for four, on a weekend away in Berwick. Looking forward to trying the food in this highly rated eatery. Arrived at the alloted time to find there was no booking. After a short interrogation from good cop/bad cop we felt like we were in the wrong. It was clear there was no room at the inn, and whilst some other customers were prepared to give up their seats, this was all wrong. Decided to leave and won't return to nibble their nuts or chomp on their expensive charcuterie....😡😕🌭

This is a great place to eat. We had read very good reviews and were not disappointed. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the food was excellent. I would recommend booking a table as it was full even on a n October evening.

Great day with family, highly recommend but would suggest booking in advance. Fantastic sharing platters, good traditional beers. Apparently mussels were good, didn’t have myself but 3 empty pot’s confirmed the taste. Great atmosphere if this place was bigger would take a fortune. Takeaway available, overall just loved it……

We had a great lunch here: excellent cheese/ charcuterie sharing board and an amazing Moroccan lamb pie... good wine selection by the glass too. A quirky interior - traffic light red/ green man lights to signal if the loo is empty!

Amazing pub. Beyond reasonably priced with an amazing beer selection on draught. Amazing, eccentric atmosphere to the pub as well with interesting and unique decor. A hidden gem within Berwick. Well worth a visit if your nearby rather than heading to the chain pubs that are close by.

Second time here with family up to stay after a fabulous experience at a friend's birthday. Didn't disappoint! Food choices delicious. Service takes a little longer but it's definitely worth the wait! Gluten free bread is the best I have had anywhere and good choices for vegan/vegetarian. One of our party had mussels in white wine sauce and said they were 'to die for' and as a result had seconds! Atmosphere a little quieter in the day than in the evening but still a great place to eat with excellent quality food and fantastic service! Quality of staff excellent. Friendly and knowledgeable, very impressed. Continuing to make the best coffee in Berwick!. Will remember photos next time! Thoroughly recommend and will be back (again!).

Lovely little place which serves small plates and platters with a choice of local beers. I had the cheese platter and veg bruschetta and was not disappointed. It is only small though so would recommend you book a table or you might be disappointed.

Mixed experience really. Called in on Sunday 9th July. We had 3 small, well behaved dogs with us. We were made to feel very welcome. Beer, wine and food were lovely and for that we would give 5 stars. Returned at 5.30pm on Thursday 13thJuly with 3 tired but well behaved dogs. Were told we couldn't go in as too many dogs in already. Made to feel - we weren't the 'type' he want in his establishment. So, we walked up the road along the outside of the rooms and counted 3 tables with people at them and NO other dogs whatsoever. He just didn't want us in there. So, we went to another establishment, where we were made to feel very welcome. We drank wine, and champagne and ate nibbles, and had a lovely hour or so there. So Atelier - we've given you one star because you need to get your act together when it comes to your policies. And, for making it obvious we weren't welcome there.

Utterly gorgeous...the food was sublime, I had gorgonzola and chorizo sandwich, whilst my wife had pastrami and emmental, we shared duck salami. Superb friendly service. I can't recommend this enough.

Wow. One of the best charcuterie boards that I have had! They did not skimp, which most places tend to do. Each cheese and meat were so delicious; each with their own flavour. Seriously yum. They had a great beer selection as well. Understandable that we had to keep calling to get a reservation - worth it!!!

Buzzing, eclectic little place, chilled-out ambience, relaxed and comfortable, with colourful and quirky decor. Absolutely fabulous food and drinks: high quality, local, delicious, beautifully presented, and, excellent wine, perfectly chilled. All with friendly, attentive, yet discreet, no-rush service, and incredibly tasty value for money. Had a wonderfully enjoyable lunch here with my daughter, over a lazy afternoon – we will be back!! Highly recommend, if you appreciate good food surrounded by a lovely, laid-back atmosphere ☺️

Want great food in Berwick-upon-Tweed? This is definitely the place to come. There's something of an eclectic menu on offer. I had the cauliflower curry pie, which was delicious, and the seasonal sharing platter of charcuterie, cheeses, etc was excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive and there is a warm and friendly vibe to the whole place. Pro tip: choose the heather honey for dessert 😋.

Brilliant place for a drink- specialist beers, lagers and good wine. Even better to combine the drink with lunch or evening food! Really enjoyed our time at the Atelier!

We initially called in for a drink and loved the vibe of the place and was intrigued by the menu. Next day called in for lunch, we enjoyed it so much, we booked a table for evening meal. Seasonal platter, duck rillette and chicken, chorizo and bean stew all absolutely delicious.

Called in today while visiting Berwick and very glad we did. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing and the surroundings were nicely presented and clean. The service was timely, friendly and pleasant. The tea was lovely and the food delicious. So pleased we found Atelier as it's a hidden gem. We'll definitely return and I'd happily recommend to anyone in the area. An easy 5 stars, well done!

Had been wanting to try here for a while after having passed a few times and seen it from the adjacent Turkish restaurant Mavi. It always looked busy, which is always a good sign. We booked a table and when we got in there it was more like a drinkers bar than a restaurant and this could be felt for the fact we stood at the bar for a while before even being acknowledged. I get it that it was busy, but people crowding the bar does not lend itself favourably for those wishing to advise they had arrived for their table and as such, we stood there for a while. The older guy serving us has an air of self importance which really made us feel on edge as though we were an inconvenience, body language also says a lot. The food was lovely so can't complain at that, but due to the service and how we were made to feel for the entire sitting, I doubt very much that we would go again.

Wow!!! What a lovely place. Great ambience, great staff, great food and a most interesting array of things to enhance your table and tantalise your taste buds. Dog friendly too!!! We had a sharing platter for lunch and it was excellent. The ambience is enhanced by interesting and unusual items to buy. I understand that they'll soon be selling some of their delicacies like black cheese which was dee-lish-us!!! Delicious (I can spell but wanted to emphasise). We live in the midlands but we will be back AGAIN!!! My before and after shots say it all!

Just a top pub with great beers, including their own, fantastic sharing platters and brilliant friendly service. (Not a fan of the word Artisan - but that's my problem - just make sure you visit.) You won't find a better place

What a lovely quirky place. Called in for a beer about 5pm. Some nice real ales. Had a good chat with the friendly barman. He asked very nicely how long we'd be staying because the table was booked for 7pm. Having seen the menu , and how popular the place was, we booked for a couple of days later. The chicken, chorizo and bean stew with bread was really good. A portion each, two pints, an orange juice and a tub of ice cream was £23. I was tempted by the cheese platter. Maybe if I visit again.

An unexpected find,popped into Berwick upon Tweed to walk around the fortified town ramparts got to the river bridge and needed the loo so turned into town and liked the look of Atelier, only intention was to have a drink,great selection, saw people eating,food looked fabulous,so looked at menu. Fantastic choice and a lot of things out of the ordinary,opted for the sharing(2 people) seasonal platter absolutely fabulous and even better everything cost only £17.50 . Staff were also very friendly and attentive,will definitely visit again when in area and will recommend to others.

You sir are extremely rude , we did not "stumble" in as you said, we walked in and sat down at the only available table , which definitely had NO reserve sign on . I appreciate the open kitchen was very busy , but the chef in my opion was very curt !!! I worked in hospitality & catering all my working career so I understand pressure , but one also has to have customer service skills . We are on holiday we had beautiful meal at Foxtons so dropped into your bar for our night cap before returning to our accommodation. We use your place every time we visit and have highly recommended it to many people. And I feel very upset at your answer . My husband did NOT verbally abuse the staff we just chose walked out .

Lived up to all the good reviews on TripAdvisor! We had hot pies with salad and pickled vegatables. The pies where excellent but the salad was amazing! The balance of flavours and dressing. The finest salad I have every had! Great service from the staff and super value for money. No hesitation in recommending.

What a quaint quirky place. Amazingly friendly staff and the food is to die for. Punjab chicken soup, wow ! I also had morrocan lamb pie, i was lush. Loads of choice for food and beer. Great place and a credit to Berwick.

What an amazing place. No table available when we arrived unexpected, however, waitress couldn't be more accommodating and arranged a table after a local offered to stand at the bar. The food, drink, service, interior design, warm and friendly ambiance was just so relaxing and chilled. We were only in Berwick upon Tweed for a few days but definitely a highlight for us. Three excellent real ales on all local and in very good condition. Most might not realise this quirky establishment specialising in artisan foods has real ale on so go and try it.
