One of the best place to have few drinks in town while you are enjoying the beautiful scenery. Very affordable ,toilets are always clean ,good atmosphire, accessible and good customer service .four stars from me

The lady is very nice, the food good and abundant. However my partner's steak was chewy and full of nerves and veins. My chicken and mushroom was very very good tho.

Went for a lunch with my sister. We had fransesinha and it was delicious, really hot with an amazing portion of piping hot french fries! I chose a few cakes to take home and they come well packed and in a bag ready for me when I finished luch. I also got some just out of the oven pastel de nata. They where vere friendly and polite, ill definitely will go for food again. Thank you

Coffee was excellent but the English breakfast not good. The eggs were obviously fried in vegetable oil and the beans were cold!

We been in this place for a birthday party and the food was delicious, the staff were fantastic and the location small and simple that you feel like you are at home. Definitely we will go again and I would recommend it.

A true example of Portuguese cooking. Being Portuguese living in England, I have struggled to find some decent Portuguese food with great, friendly service until I found this charming little place in Hyson Green.

Very good service, cheap and the food is delicious (if you like coriander and garlic, this is the right place). The place is small, totally informal, and there are two big schermes to follow Portuguese matches, of course in Portuguese lenguage.

I always enjoy my visits to Boa Vista and I've been going there for some time. Lovely staff, always friendly and helpful. Simply lovely atmosphere and a great cup of coffee! Lovely foods also. I would highly recommend Boa Vista.

Came in for lunch just before Christmas. Had a lovely steak with fries, salad and rice and it was delicious. Washed it down with a couple of halves of Portuguese Sagres beer too. A taste of Portugal in Nottingham! The ladies that run it are so friendly and there was a real family feel about the place. 5 stars.

Great £6 breakfast including (what they quite fairly claim on the shopfront) the Best Coffee in Town. Shows football, serves Portuguese food/beer and has such a friendly atmosphere. Real great community cafe, best in Forest Fields.

This restaurant it's not portugese, I eat there and It wos the worst place I eat in all my 50 years of life in eat a francesca there and taste it like white wine and a inside w is not francesca. It wos very bad. I also eat cosido a Portuguesa and wis very bad. They should be ashamed, this it s not portugese food Iam a pure blood Portuguese, and I am ashame of seen my flag on that restaurants. This is an ideal restaurant to have a lovely quiet no fuss breakfast true to the menu FULL English breakfast could not fault anything, all you ask for from a breakfast with toast, tea and I think if I wanted extra they would have added it with no extra charge. Staff very friendly big tele to watch the news and nice strong tea. This well worth a visit and the main menu looks very nice and affordable. Nice place to take a first date. Well worth a visit.

Menu ok atmosphere a little damp singer on but a little overbearing staff quite helpful but the matre d running round a bit overpowering food of decent quality think you would only eat here if staying on the complex

Had lunch in this restaurant in the busy Hyson Green area. The service was friendly and the menu genuinely Portuguese with bifana, prego, and fish among the dishes. We enjoyed the bread and olives and the pica-pau for starters and chicken piri-piri for mains. To drink, we had a glass of wine and a Diet Coke and the bill came to just under £20. We had expected to pay more but were charged only for one portion of the chicken dish, which was a pleasant surprise. The coffee was also good. Perhaps it's a bit mean to quibble but the cafe was quite austere and lacking in colour and the tables were very small. If I were in the area, I would call in again, but I wouldn't drive for an hour to get there, which is a shame as I love Portuguese food and it's a rare find in this part of the world.

This is a most unusual place and well worth a visit. The Boavista is a cafe and a restuarant. I've eaten here three times now and on each occasion I have been very pleasantly surprised by the quality and the low cost of the food. The food is authentic Portuguese food, prepared and cooked by Portuguese people. There's always plenty to eat with meat and fish dishes available. I can highly recommend the paella. There are two delightful Portuguese woman who do the cooking and are also front house. If you fancy an authentic, home cooked Portuguese treat this is the place to be
