Fab food.... Found us space on a heaving Saturday and we were so pleased they did. Going back the next time I'm in the area.

On the up. We visited the restaurant as a family with children and had a lovely evening. The restaurant has been redecorated and looks much better. The photographs of all the other local businesses from Barrowford on the wall is a lovely touch. We have been several times and cant fault the food. Its absolutely delicious and excellent value. The last couple of times we visited it was very quiet with no atmosphere but this time it was much busier and much more atmosphere which I am pleased about. The owner gets completely stuck in and works really hard, as do the rest of his family who work there. They cant do enough for you. We are looking forward to returning soon and 100% recommend it for an Indian meal out. Thank you for a lovely evening.

We’ve ordered takeaways from Bombay lounge several times and the quality has been consistently high. Tonight there was a mix up with the order. The delivery guy (sorry I didn’t ask your name) caught the mistake before handing the order over. We ended up after only a small delay with nearly double the food we’d ordered (the original incorrect order was complimentary, on top of our order), a free bottle of wine and profusive apologies. Absolutely fantastic customer service.

Food was awful not recommended worst meal ever never again

Beautiful food at good prices. People should support local restaurants because it was fairly quiet for a Saturday night. I'd go back without a second thought.

Lovely flavoursome meal!! Group of six, all had different meals, tried everything and it was all very good. Recommend.

Great choice of dishes, even for vegetarians. Ordered online for a takeaway, walked down, picked it up. No hassle, no waiting. Food was excellent too. Will definitely be using again.

Great quality food and service. There was a wide variety of dishes available including many curries that I hadn’t heard of before. The atmosphere was also quite relaxed and the staff were very attentive. If you’re looking for a good curry in the Nelson/Barrowford area, check out this place!

Disappointed, previous visits far better. Junior staff with no knowledge or experience. Portions small Main courses distinctly average. Bombay Lounge you have done much better , please get back to the standards you were at.

It's nice food but not sure if the price is fitting for the food. 2 people with starter poppadoms and 2 mains with 4 lagers. £78 ive been before and not thought it was so expensive. There are far better Indian restaurants for much less. Won't be returning unless I hear of a significant price reduction. No dedicated parking and roudy atmosphere.

Always loved eating here. The staff are very friendly, food very tasty. Great service. The menu does need updating to differentiate between vegetarian and vegan dishes though....!

Booked for a Christmas party for a group. Food was ok but small portions for the price per head. Despite confirming numbers, restaurant still tried to charge us over £300 more than was spent on drinks and food. Manager refused to give us an itemised bill to check. I dread to think how many other parties they get away with overcharging for their meals.

Restaurant super busy so we bought take-outs two days in a row. Day 1 was good however Day 2 was pretty grotty. I know Indian cuisine fairly well & Vindaloo is more than a container of medium-hot sauce with ghastly prawn shapes floating in it. Blurb! Rice very dry. Basically it was gross. The World Cup was on and the lounge were super busy BUT … Perhaps don’t try to do Xmas parties, karaoke etc with a full house plus take-outs. We paid. ..we ate but won’t return. I’m giving 3 stars instead of 1* only because I’m a nice reviewer but you’ll get more reviews like this if you overstretch your staff, namely chefs. We paid full price for tat.

On holiday so never used this Indian before. Ordering was very easy and the deliver service was excellent,on time and still very hot. The food was great value and had some wonderful flavours. To be honest the portions were very generous but something you would want to save and eat later. Seriously good food, great value and brilliant services. Would recommend

The only reason it gets one star is because I can't give it none. Food was terrible, we got the mix platter and keema rice, may as well have had rabbit food there was absolutely no taste what so ever. Secondly the service was terrible, staff to busy talking amongst themselves and did not once ask if we were ok etc. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone, awful experience, awful food and lack of cleanliness.

Sorry not up to scratch tonight. Chips stone cold.popudums all smashed and chicken tikka masala not delivered,so had to wait half an hour for it,by which time the rice was cold, thought they would have sent some fresh rice.

In the local area on holiday and had a take away meal last night which was excellent. Can’t fault any of the dishes we ordered, there’s an excellent choice and they were very tasty. I would highly recommend. Will be ordering again tonight! Gavin J

I am somewhat confused of the variation of reviews for dinning experience here. With little media okie reviews but either very good or very poor. Our experience was sadly, was v poor. Though the food was OK. It could be improved. My main issue was the service and ambient of the restaurant itself. Clearly not inviting. From the lighting, to dirty tables, floors. Etc. No table cloths. Waiters not very friendly making you feel rushed. We was also over charged on the bill. Think of your competitors around. You need to move with the times. It has potential and clearly you are busy, but don't let your standards slip.

We decided to go to this restaurant last night for a nice meal got the complete opposite. Poor customer service no interaction with the customer. Dirty, Dark and Dinge, inside. Food very poor, tasteless, need to review there Chef. Over charged on the bill. They need to overall this restaurant get some customer service skills and put some money into this instead of taking money of paying customers for a bad bsd service.

Been here numerous times, food is consistently excellent. Had a lamb Bhuna, mushroom fried rice, and a chili cheese naan bread, all it five star for quality - those chili cheese naans are beautiful, plenty of cheese, which is how they should be. Delivery and service was also prompt and professional, and orders (and pre-orders before they open) can be placed via the site. Cash or card can be chosen as means of payment.

One of the worst dinning experiences I’ve ever had, terrible service, terrible food, terrible cleanliness, just all round terrible, Always enjoyed takeaways from here, but takeaways are obviously their priority, but seeing how unclean their chefs were (and wearing sliders) I won’t be ordering from here again. Avoid, if you like value for money, your health and your time Frequent if you like paying over the odds for barefoot wine, Asda tray bake chocolate cake and a server more interested in moaning about the takeaways being busy and not actually clearing any dishes or glasses.

Best Asian resturant in the area of Barrowford, Lancashire, North West. Highly recommend for family and friend. Very friendly and professional staff. They know what the customer need. I went with family and kids really enjoyed.

First visit tonight - loved the fact that they are doing different dishes to most Indian restaurants. Loved all our starters but Prawn Tikka and Chilli Prawns were fantastic. Food excellent will definitely be back. Glad I ignored the silly negative reviews - certainly no correlation to our experience. Excellent service - excellent food - lovely quirky restaurant.

Where do I start, we waited an hour whilst only receiving a poppadom in which we found a hair in, overall we were at the establishment for around 2.5 hours, the meat was dry, once we finally received the bill and complained we were swore at, abused and felt threatened by the reaction from the owner who stated “don’t come into his restaurant and shout whilst I have customers in here” when we wasn’t raising our voices, we were raising our issues and got verbally attacked for it, after being told we would receive a discount and being made to feel like that’s the reason we complained, basically some form of acknowledgement and an apology would have sufficed, instead we were confronted with anger and abuse, one positive was the two female members of staff who tried hard to address any issues, apologised for the mistakes and ran around for every customer in the establishment.

Food good but they can't cater well with large numbers and sorting bills out, serving staff were great but the manager/owner was rude, to say we spent £400 + i expect better from him, been many time's but won't be going again unfortunately

We got a take-away whilst staying in Barrowford from the Bombay Lounge, food was excellent, all very fresh tasting and full of flavour. One of the best Indian meals I have eaten, clearly made by a chef who cares about their food.

Takeaway - Stone cold food, late and kebab was wet through - all food in bin - waster of 25.00 - wont return

I have visited this restaurant many times and each time has been a great dining experience. Food the best around. Due to Covid lockdown the restaurant has been providing a great takeaway service which we use every Saturday. Food is reasonably priced. Arrives on time and is hot. Quality of the food is great. They will adjust curries to your liking if required. Customer service is great and because of this we continue to support them with their business during these hard times. Well done guys! Have recently moved to the area and have had two takeaways from this great restaurant in Barrowford. Can't recommend it enough. The Manager and staff are lovely, and the food delicious. We've tried different dishes on both occasions and the standard of cooking is consistently high. The food is freshly prepared, always pipping hot and the flavours really shine, it's not just spicy for the sake of it the dishes are really tasty and well cooked.

Ordered a meal, exceptionally friendly person took our phone order. The meal was ready when said and we collected, however sadly the four meals we ordered were not particularly good. Very watery, and very little taste and everything had a similar taste, even though we had 4 different dishes. We appreciate that the Covid19 virus has put the very few takeaways open under great pressure, but maybe do a few less orders but make sure they are good. It almost felt like all the dishes had been watered down to make them go further. However, this particular takeaway has done a lot of free meals for the frontline workers and must be congratulated on that.We will try it again when times are better.

Amazing food and fantastic service..

I’ve had a takeaway in the past, but they have had a new chef since then. We ordered mixed vegetable fried starter, poppadoms, and mains with onion rice and chapatti. Everything was delicious - starters really tasty, mains excellent - generous portions. Friendly staff. Would highly recommend and will definitely return. Really enjoyed our meal - thank you.

Out of all the Indian restaurants in East Lancashire(there's a lot) this has to be the best and most welcoming. I'm fussy when it comes to Indian food, but they catered to my requirements and the foods was perfect. Will definitely visit again. Thanks to Nurul and his team.

Love eating at Bombay lounge. The owner is very friendly and has very high standards. Food is absolutely delicious and always tastes very fresh. The atmosphere is always friendly and warm. I've visited this place multiple times and picked up take away even more. I definitely reccomend this place if in or around barrowford.

Slow service and the food went cold very quickly. A food warmer on the table could easily stop this. The food quality is very poor for the prices charged. My beef was more gristle than meat. The restaurant doesn't take bookings online even though we went through the booking process when I rang the restaurant you confirm they said, "We don't have access to the online booking system". It's no wonder that the place was almost empty. We will definitely not be returning for such a feeble culinary experience.

Went for a curry as in Barrowford visiting friends. Can't fault the quantity but as the quality not the best. Never seen ' red madras or' bright red balti before!!! Meat not very tender, had much better takeaways.. Very expensive compared to other Indian restaurants in the area. Will not be returning.

I was absolutely disgusted tonight visiting this restaurant as it was freezing cold in there and had to eat with my coat on. Never again will I visit again.

I cant comment on the value as I dont know what it cost, as it was a staff evening all paid for. But the food was excellent, and plenty of it. I read another review on here that said "everything was red" and funny enough I have to agree. From a party of eight of us, we all had ordered something different, yet when it arrived it all seemed a bit confusing because every dish was a variant of red? bright red, dark red, light red? Its just an observation because the food itself was stunning, we all had a sample of each others and every dish I tasted was delicious, the Nan's were exceptional especially the Peshwari. Service was pleasant and fast. All in all a very good experience.

We ordered 4 different curries they were tasty but nothing out of this world. Loved their naan bread, the waiters were super friendly and the take out service was rather quick.

This is the second time we have visited this restaurant and on both occasions the good had been delicious and service excellent. Highly recommended.

Good service...good food...nice atmosphere

Had a takeaway from here last night and I have to say the service was great. They made us feel very welcome in the bar area whilst we ordered and waited for our food in a beautiful place. Once our food was ready the real experience began. It was well packaged and beautifully presented even for a takeaway. Then came the flavour.. Very refined balance of spices and beautiful texture, the chicken was cooked to perfection and our only regret was having the chat as a side dish and not a main. Definitely making this a regular curry house for us. See you again soon

Close your eyes and the food tasted like very mediocre Indian standard dishes, open your eyes though and it is genuinely quite unsettling as it is all bright red! Really BRIGHT RED!

Booked a table for Fathers Day with my Son, turned up 10 mins early, stood at the bar for 20 mins before we could get a drink.. No one asked about our booking.. They let 2 parties of 10 go before us.. The worse service I have ever seen.. Paid for the drinks which took 5 mins.. Will never go back ever again. Absolute disgrace.. Do not go.. If you want to give me a answer feel free. You were not even that busy..
