nipped in for a quick drink and rest , Thursday afternoon, bar service quick and friendly polite , music and singer very good, staff well dressed and seem to be professional..mixed customers from regulars to tourists… great deco atmosphere..would love to visit more regularly!!!

It's all about the ambience, right? Love it!

We had an issue in the bar with another customer and the security guard Abdul and the manager Elvis were extremely helpful. Really appreciate their quick action to the problem. Great bar and open until late!!

The service is outstanding, and the atmosphere buzzing! Loses a star for too loud background music which is a shame if you want to go to chat over cocktails 🥂

The drinks were good. We asked for recommendations and they did not disappoint at all. The waiters and the manager were very nice and friendly. So sad I don’t have much time to stay there to enjoy the evening with my friends but we are definitely coming back. The people just kept coming even though it was Wednesday! Very good sign. Wonder how it is when it’s live music there (as seen some pics here). So yeah, looking forward to our next visit, thank you. (Not eating food as we just had drinks).

Very nice place in Soho. We had a full English breakfast and eggs with extra bacon and sausages. Very large portions! Delicious black pudding and yummy mushrooms. Prices are London prices, but certainly value for money. Friendly service, very clean place with very nice interior 👍🏻

Cafe Boheme on Old Compton Street offers a pleasant and tranquil atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing meal. I opted for the avocado on toast with poached eggs for brunch, and it was delicious. The staff were accommodating and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, a solid four-star rating for a quiet and welcoming cafe in the heart of the Soho.

The smashed avocado was absolutely delicious! The staff made sure to not cook anything in vegetable oil also, as I don't eat this. It's a little pricey and the service was a little slow, but we were looking for a leisurely breakfast so it wasn't much of a problem.

Francesco is a wonderful waiter.

The atmosphere is fantastic. I had the bavette and my friend had the fish. We were extremely happy. The drinks are also very nice.

My handbag got stolen while I was sitting at my table- with one exception, the people working there were very unhelpful if not rude. I have been going to Café Boheme for many years but I will definitely not be back.

I have been a regular here for the last 6 years and the food and service is always consistently good.

Bad service, staff forgot we there a lot of the time. Luckily I was catching up with an old friend so we were chatting a lot.

Shockingly poor meal - duck was almost impossible to cut. I didn't say anything at the time as we were rushing to go to the theatre, but I would not return. This used to be a brilliant place until a few years ago when it reopened after the site was developed by Soho House and has never been the same since. Noise level was high, made even worse by having a live singer/guitarist - impossible to hear yourself think. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

I enjoyed the food here, the vibe was like a French bistro, I was sat by the window and enjoyed people watching. French wine selection was fabulous. Id come back...

The cocktails are delicious, it's crowded but it's a fun place to watch. We also liked that they replaced the wrong order free of charge...

My favourite spot for a drink after a good meal

It seems to be the new pandemic. We have eaten at Cafe Boheme a few times over the years. Imagine when we are in the midst of our main course for our server to advise us that we have 15mins to finish and pay or move to the bar. What is this? The escargot starter needs addressing as there was no garlic and it was not tasty at all. So many restaurants out there so imagine we will use our hard earned money elsewhere. Truly disappointed.

Three of us ate and the welcome was great. The service was excellent and the wine was superb. I liked my meal a lot but my companions were not as impressed with theirs. Maybe a question of their taste? We left well in time for our theatre date.

Waiter forgot to bring a starter. Waiter also advised that one of the mains included a side but it didn’t. Bavette a bit tough. Beef bourguignon delicious.

Delicious food, fun buzzy vibe and a live band. My daughter struggled with it being a little too loud - so not somewhere to go if you’d like a quiet meal - but otherwise highly recommended.

The menu choices and presentation of the food, plus how good the food was, reminded us of dining out whilst on our many holidays in France. As a Francophile, this is a good thing! The bavette and frites was heavenly.

A very buzzy Soho old favourite. Good honest food and wine and fairly priced. Closely packed tables and a bit chaotic in terms of service, but very attentive waiters. Being busy they needed to be reminded several times about things we had ordered. Would go back, but its not for those seeking a relaxed and quiet ambiance.

Reminded me of some previous French holidays, sitting in small bistros and restaurants eating simple food cooked well. Loved the bavette, cooked perfectly. Would definitely eat here again.

We waited to be served for an hour. Someone then took our d order, to return 20 minutes later to say that we had been given the wrong menu and would need to order from another one, but we would only have about 30 more minutes as our table was booked at the end of our session. We had to go to another restaurant to eat.

We had a fabulous evening in a lovely venue with a lively atmosphere and ambience that was never overbearing, and topped up with some lovely jazz music in the background. I very rarely give 5 stars, but had to give it for the friendly service, and the food which was delicious from first mouthful to the last sip of coffee. Without doubt, we will be returning. Wonderful experience all round.

Staff weren’t very helpful. It was a busy day and I felt like we were ignored. I ordered a drink and it got forgotten. When my food came, the waiter said it was the veggie burger when it was the meat burger. The food was nice, just wasn’t up to my expectations

Went there for drinks after work - something that was supposed to be relaxing turned out to be a terrible experience. Not only the service was poor but the drinks were also terrible. Just to add to the experience, the waiter that came to collect our check doesn’t know how to split a bill and charged us more than what he was supposed to. For the prices you charge, you should focus on training your staff and on providing better customer experience.

Really bad service. I went for a drink with a friend yesterday and we asked to split a bill in half. The waiter charged me 19 pounds for 1 aperol! My friend had the same and was charged 10. We asked clearly for the bill to be split. We discovered it only today and will definitely not return to this place

This place has gone downhill. The steak bavette was chewy and had no flavour besides the charcoal burn marks. The salad came with old, wilted leaves. Service was poor with not enough people meaning it was very hard to get someone’s attention, and when the wine was delivered some of it was poured over the table without an apology or anyone cleaning it up. Thankfully the inedible steaks and salad were removed from the bill, but it remains overpriced.

We had a reservation here this evening and we were waiting to be shown to our table however the staff kept walking past us, ignoring/ not acknowledging us. Eventually we got shown to our table and had to wait quite a while for our drinks and food order to be taken. The starters were fairly good to be fair. My wife ordered muscles for her main and all I can imagine is they weren't cleaned properly as there was some sort of gravel or small stones inside. Really poor and obviously inedible. No one checked how our food was and we had to tell the waiter that the muscles were inedible otherwise he was just going to clear away our plates. Nice atmosphere with live music however very expensive for a pretty poor experience. 2 stars is generous!

Yesterday's visit to Café Bohème left much to be desired. Our experience was far from satisfactory. The ambiance was excessively noisy, making it difficult to enjoy our meal or engage in conversation comfortably. The quality of the food was, regrettably, mediocre at best. Furthermore, the presence of a patron vaping nearby was both unexpected and frustrating. To add to our disappointment, several menu items, including bourguignon and chicken with fries, were already unavailable by 7:30 p.m., significantly limiting our dining options. Overall, our experience fell short of expectations and left us feeling dissatisfied.

We had the most amazing evening, our waiter (sorry not sure of his name, long hair Italian guy) and the host or manager who gave me a glass of bubbles on arrival to celebrate with me! Food was good, tasty welll cooked steak. And overall a very enjoyable Monday evening. Never with empty glasses which is what we like 😛 thank you team! X

Whilst the we had was good, whose ridiculous decision was it to stop doing Sunday Lunch? We couldn't understand why the place was half empty until we asked for the Sunday menu and were told you no longer did Sunday Lunch. This place used to be packed and buzzy on a Sunday and now it is half empty.

The food at Café Boheme is always really good. Great choice of dishes and well cooked. The service was quite blazé however and I find it disappointing that, when you’re having a three course meal with expensive wine, that they won’t allow you to substitute the bread with the steak tartare for chips without charging you. Also, the restaurant is so incredibly loud that it’s almost impossible to have a conversation, never mind hearing what the waiting staff is saying to you. A nice evening, but slightly ruined by having to shout so much.

Our table wasn’t quite ready on arrival, so we waited at the bar. On being shown to our table, we had to ask for our menus. We ordered and our starter and main arrived at the same time. When we asked if we could possibly have our main after our stater the waiter eye rolled us. We told him not to worry only to realise our mains were barely warm anyway. We weren’t charged for the starter but service was added to our bill. To be fair, the waiter was changed after we complained about the eye roll, but don’t think we will return. Sub standard sadly.

Very noisy and very dark but if “noisy and dark”is your “buzzing and atmospheric”, then you will love this place. Service was great and food was simple but lovely. Definitely an authentic French vibe. Old Soho at its best.

The entire night was spontaneously going fairly great until the manager decided to ruin the birthday celebration. The entire argument was about if the “service charge” was agreed to be included in the bill or not … we are not stepping in again here because those are specifications that party organisers agree before visit with the decision makers of the restaurant if any special occasion celebrations are taking place. The service charge in some restaurants in the United Kingdom are discretionary. Part of us were happy to pay the service charge but unfortunately, the manager on shift/general manager was reluctant to listen what some of us were saying. Please improve your communication skills, the majority of us were happy to pay the birthday cake of our colleague.

I have eaten here several times and the service is usually haphazard but last night it was really poor. 40 mins for a drink. The omelette that I had tasted like plastic . Really bad value which was shame

Eclectic, authentic French bistro. Ideal for meeting and eating with likeminded friends who enjoy a blustering ambiance.

Such a shame, it was a nice place before. Now the awesome fries are gone, the plate is nonsense with bland spinach and dry cordon bleu. Desserts are also bad, poor tarte, bitter chocolate cake and egg taste in creme brulee. It feels like everything was frozen and then heated for us. Also too touristy now. Real shame, I don’t think we’ll go again

A very busy place so service was overwelmed. Was not worth 13% tip.

The restaurant has a good vibe, but the temperature inside is far too high, especially if seated in a smaller area. Food is average brasserie quality, but could be done with a bit more flair, especially with presentation. Service is low to average. Unfortunately I did have to ask several times for service, with no particular waiter assigned to our table. Prices are good, but it needs to up it's game in Central London.

Loud dark & quite expensive- not good for quiet dinner! But lots of groups enjoying it!

Great spot near Covent Garden. Nice energy and service. I had a nice soup and salad. Very good wine list. Seems to be a crowd favorite.

Unfriendly welkom from staff when entering. Clumsy waiter spilling wine and not listening that somebody didn’t want wine. Bavette was terrible quality

Sad to say not as good as usual. No Sunday roast id say is a mistake. The poulet was good though. My guest couldn’t get the bramble gin or any pink gin. Also not on the menu were two of the deserts. Service had to be fought for Music was great though. Champagne didn’t fizz. Red wine was delicious.

Had a pre theatre lunch here with friends Food was good quality and quite traditional I had Bavette and chips The steak was very good and cooked just as a like it My daughter had the French onion soup which was excellent and my friend the chicken We shared a carafe of which was nice Service a bit erratic and they came at 1.30 with the card machine to say they needed the table back! A bit more warning would have been welcomed

Staff confirmed a dish on the menu was halal so our table ordered it. After we started eating, we found pork bacon inside… this ingredient was also NOT listed on the menu.

Cafe Boheme has great potential, good decor, atmosphere, live music, friendly staff but they are overstretched in the pre-theatre time slot. First we were brought someone else’s order. Then my mussels were hardly cooked and inedible so I had to send them back. The replacement took time to arrive and was first delivered to the next door table. No new cutlery brought or spare dish for mussel shells. Apologetic staff did not sadly make up for a rushed unenjoyable experience

Had a lovely meal with my husband, son and grandson prior to going to see Dear England in the theatre opposite - literally across the road! We were sat in the quieter area at the rear of the restaurant because my husband is hard of hearing, even with his hearing aids. All the food was extremely good, as was the wine. Will definitely go there again.

Delicious food and good choice of wine. Friendly service. Acoustics cause it to be noisy and the addition of music player was totally unwelcome. Conversation was difficult and at times impossible.

It was busy and the staff were working hard, but the service was OK at best - we waited a long time for the bill and then weren't given an opportunity to check it before the card machine appeared. Then the staff disappeared for another 10 minutes while we were waiting to pay. The gents toilets weren't very clean and some of the facilities were out of order.

Lovely Soho atmosphere, generous portions of delicious comfort food, nice service. very enjoyable pre theatre dinner.

A very sad day. I have eaten at Cafe Boheme for over 20 years and I travelled up from Wales yesterday for their wonderful Sunday lunch. Alas, it is no more. I was disappointedc and bid adieu to an old friend...
