A wonderful lunch time experience for eight elderly folk. The staff are just so kind, so helpful, so friendly, so genuine. We had a birthday fellow, which they picked up on, and gave him a special time. Food was lovely, service perfect. Many thanks!

Lovey breakfast with excellent service. The beetroot hash was particularly good as was the coffee.

What has happened to the iconic Brown’s restaurant? I used to go to the original one in Brighton in the 70’s. It was a completely original brasserie and the chocolate cake and famous steak and kidney pie, legendary. Then came the Oxford one. Also wonderful and with an area open to the Woodstock Road which was great in the summer. Now of course it’s just a chain, taken over by a brewery, and the one in Ruislip is a miserable reminder of how the original has been completely lost. Is this what Mogford envisaged? What a sell out. A sad rip off of the Ivy (itself now a semi amorphous chain), decked out in colourless and impersonal corporate griege. The food is poor, the service sloppy and the atmosphere just a tad above a motorway service station. Very sad

How do they get away with it !! Met friends for breakfast/brunch. Staff ok , polite enough. Decor contrived , faux with hints of harvester. Some menu items not available, so had a traditional breakfast. To say reminiscent of a latter day little chef Just before they went bust. Staff had dirty uniforms and hangovers. Cutlery cheap bent out of shape. Toasted bread was reheated ,frozen ,dry and inedible. Sent back and replaced with more of the same. A sad sorry restaurant. Please go and experience the finest that Browns have to offer. What a shower.

Called in with my 95 year old mum. Nothing was too much trouble staff so attentive food wonderful atmosphere just right could not fault anything

Despite the anticipation of a really special meal at Brown's Brasserie & Bar Ruislip , the reality fell short of expectations. On a recent visit for my birthday, my partner and I opted for the Prawn & Devon Crab linguine. However, upon its arrival, we were dismayed to find that the portion size was inadequate for a main course, and to make matters worse, it was not hot. Even after requesting it to be reheated, the dish remained underwhelming. Considering the hefty price tag of £18 each, coupled with a mandatory 10% service charge, the minuscule portion size felt like a slap in the face, especially given the purported inclusion of Devon Crab, which was virtually non-existent. The presence of a few prawns did little to salvage the situation. While the ambiance and décor of the Brasserie were commendable, and the service satisfactory, these positives ultimately paled in comparison to the disappointing quality of the food. Regrettably, this experience has left me with no desire to return, as it represented a significant lack of value for money.

Went with the wife for a nice Saturday evening dinner(06/4/24), was very happy with the food and overall atmosphere. Have to give a special mention to the food runner, me and my wife was impressed with his level of professionalism for his age, as he catered to our demands with great manors and service skills, true credit to Browns. would definitely come back !

Came to Browns for a family meal Good Friday. Atmosphere was lovely, lovely and clean. The staff was amazing including our waitress Sarah who was helpful and attentive. Food was lovely and good size portions. Would highly recommend

Great food as usual. Staff were on point but some of our used dishes and glasses stayed on the table even after I tried to put it on a plate (I thought she would come back in a minute to get the empty glasses and cartons but didn't lol). Wasn't a problem as it was early and we had a big table but not ideal to leave used glasses and empty containers on the table before bringing a next course. This is a minor niggle anyway, I like this place and have been before and will be back again. Thank you for having us!

Great food and Ella our server was fab. Friendly polite and very attentive to us and other guests around. The atmosphere was OK a little noisy and it would have been good to have the piano softly in the background. Otherwise all was good. Would definitely encourage friends and family to dine here.

Everything is very tasty, the service is at the same level 👍👍👍 It was nice that we could communicate and serve in Russian with the waiter Anna. And I think they will serve you in Ukrainian too.

I was very impressed with the service that our waitress, Hanna, provided last Friday. My group had a wide variety of dietary requirements and allergies and Hanna took great care to ensure that all chosen meals were suitable for us. The menu offers a range of dishes suitable for gluten-free and dairy-free diets. It would be nice to have a selection of lighter meals available for the lunchtime menu.

Really nice pub, great selection of food. The lobster way absolutely out of this world. Complements to the chefs.

Christine who looked after us was fantastic, she went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. When the lights got turned down it was way too dark which spoiled the mood. But everything else was lovely.

Spare of the moment turned up Friday night.. they found us a table and we had such a great night.. music on point - food delicious but best of all our server Flovida!! An amazing visit! Booked for dinner on Tuesday night to celebrate an anniversary, and honestly so glad we chose Brown's Ruislip. We've visited 2 other Brown's restaurants before in London but the service from Ruislip has been unmatched. Our waitress Florida was incredible! She made some great cocktail recommendations from the new menu, and genuinely went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our evening, even offering to take photos and serving our dessert with a cute happy anniversary message. Food was incredible and their new menu has some great options on there, and they were happy to accommodate any requests or questions we had too. 100% would return again, especially since we were told Thursday evenings they have live music on. Ruislip surpassed an already high standard of expectations we have for Brown's, so thank you so much to everyone there, and especially to Florida for making our visit so special!

We didn't think to book for a Saturday afternoon, but this place was soooo busy, good sign! Luckily we were offered a table in the bar area which was lovely and still great for our little family of three. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We had to order at the bar, that was the only thing but no big deal at all as it was literally behind us. Great location, fantastic food and amazing drinks. Would definitely recommend and would go again.

Visited with the family. We had absolutely exceptional service from Christine. 10/5. Disappointing as a brand that there isn’t an allergen menu for customers or online but Christine did a spectacular job with assisting me. Without her.. I’d have been quite annoyed about it.

Following a dreadful experience at the Covent Garden branch we tried the Ruislip branch and had a wonderful evening. Our server Nolan was amazing attentive and polite checked in regularly to see if he could help and if we was ok. The food was phenomenal also!

Was taken here for afternoon tea and was surprised that they don’t serve decaf tea, the sandwiches were lovely and the cakes too but the scones were so tiny very disappointing as they’re normally the best bit with the cream and jam, there were 2 types of jam but tiny scones come on Browns you can do better

We have been to Browns on a couple of occasions, but both times it was not what we expected. We have decided to give it ANOTHER go as it was my husband’s birthday. Well….everything was perfect from the moment we have stepped in. Bar service was really good, food was really really good, we got the complementary bday treat with the staff singing Happy Birthday 🤣.HUGE thank you the lady that was looking after us sooooo well for the whole evening. THANK YOU, ELA for making our evening special. We will definitely come back.

thoroughly enjoyed our meal, we had the cod and teriyaki chicken to start was demolished very tasty, and two roasts, pork and beef was cooked to perfection. Booked this an hour before we wanted a table on a busy Saturday. Had a lovely table, away from the big groups. Our waiter, Nolan was very attentive, polite and welcoming which you don’t get very often! The cocktails were fresh and delicious and the food was piping hot and of excellent quality, even the burger which was far from just a burger! We also had the pork belly and lemon sole both cooked to perfection including the sides. We will be back!

Thursdays at Browns are a delight! I came here with my best friend and her four year old daughter. The whole team were so patient and easy going, but especially Christine. She was able to do adult and kid modes at the same time, predict what would be helpful and make us laugh all the way through! The fish pie was delicious. And the lovely pianist gave it such a great ambience. You'll definitely see us again.

Came here for afternoon tea to celebrate my friends 30th, so bubbles were needed. Bring on the champagne afternoon tea. Oh wow the food was delicious, lovely selection of cakes, the sandwiches were very nice too. I dont like egg so I was able to change my sandwich which was really good, some places dont allow that unless you have a allergy. The service was really good, the waitresses were really helpful and chatty. As I have 4 month old, I needed to use the baby room, the women was really nice in taking me to it and unlocking the door. About 6 a pianoist starter playing, he was really really good and set a lovely, calming mood. Browns has a lovely, warming and very inviting atmosphere. It is a very baby friendly restaurant which is brilliant. I will definitely come back a enjoy a Browns dinner.

We had a delicious lunch at Browns Ruislip today and were wonderfully looked after by Aaron who was attentive, kind and patient. Food was great, the atmosphere is relaxed; it was a perfect spot for a chilled afternoon meal.

They refused to give an 80 year old man a table because he was dining alone, apparently they said its policy not to serve single diners. Even though the dining room was practically empty they turned him away. Absolutely appalling. Browns Ruislip are a disgrace to the restaurant industry and I hope people see this review and take their money elsewhere. You don’t deserve customers.

Went for a Saturday afternoon lunch for my adult daughters birthday. We went with my other daughter and my gorgeous granddaughter who is of toddler age. Food, decor and atmosphere were amazing! Came here for my birthday with my family. The service was AMAZING, we were served amazing food by a lovely woman called Florida. She was kind and engaging throughout our whole visit, when we told her it was my birthday she asked my sister if she can bring me out a birthday brownie. Lovely place to meet up with friends. The food is amazing, and the staff are lovely, friendly, and always polite.

Beware of car break-ins. Our car was in the car park in the evening and had the back window smashed and items that were concealed in the boot were stolen. The car next to ours was also broken into and had a bag, laptop and purse stolen. Two car break-ins on the same night…When we spoke to the manager her response was, “it’s happened a few times”. The venue needs to take a more pro-active approach to protecting its customers as it’s clear the cameras aren’t doing anything to prevent this. How many more break-ins before Browns starts taking this seriously?

Second visit, even better than the first time thankyou Sarah for looking after us and being a great waitress. We will come back again soon. First time visit to Brown's Ruslip but have been to other Brown's resturants around the country. This is a great addition and was as good as the other resturants. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the decor fitted the resturant. Our waiter Aaron was very attentive, with our service being just right, we never felt rushed nor left waiting for our drinks and food to arrive. The food was very good, all served hot and tasted great. We gad between us the chorizo and prawns, teriyaki chicken and salt and pepper squid. The prawn and chorizo was amazing. For mains we had the belly pork, pulled lamb shepherd's pie ( probably the best dish), burger ( this was tasty but presentation was basic), and the club sandwich. We were a bit full but our son had the hot brownie znd jce cream...Next time I'm going to get my own one it was one if the nicest brownies I have had in ages. We will be coming back again as its a great addition to the resturants in ruislip.
