Caffi'r Hen Siop in Gwynedd

We visited this caffi on an afternoon walk in the rain and the quality tea and coffee were welcome along with the cakes we chose -carrot cake and lemon tart. They were very good value and tasted delicious. Very fresh. We didn't try any of the meals but they also looked delicious with a wide variety. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Local crafts were available to purchase

This is my local Caffi and honestly never, ever disappoints. The staff are so welcoming, the selection of cakes is amazing. Sam makes the best cheese and onion paninnis (my favourite!). But really this review is for the chocolate orange cheesecake I just nicked off my husband's plate. Best. Cheesecake. Ever. The Caffi is an absolute gem. Thanks team. x

Love this cafe - almost worth the tedious drive from South to North Wales. Friendly staff, great coffee, delicious cakes - what’s not to like? Gorgeous, original gifts to purchase too.

I was there with my dog after a long walk whilst on holiday in the area. The welcome was warm and the staff could not have done more to make us feel welcome. I needed somewhere to spend some time whilst waiting for a someone to come out to my car, so we were in the cafe for several hours. Could not believe my luck to find such a friendly and caring place and with such good food to boot! My wife and I (and the dog) came back several more times as the place is so good.

Called in yesterday whilst on a walk around the area. Originally, it was just going to be for a coffee, but ended up having lunch and take away cakes. It was all absolutely delicious. All of us, including our dog, were made to feel really welcome. Very reasonable prices and great quality. Highly recommended and look forward to next time.

I am local and have been coming to the cafe with friends for lunch every week for months now. We feel so blessed that we have this gorgeous cafe right on our doorstep. The cafe has the most lovely cosy warm feel to it and its the kind of place where you can sit for hours drinking their wonderful cappucinos (best I have had in ages!) and tuck into their massive selection of tasty homemade cakes. Honestly, the cakes are to die for!! We sometimes have lunch and sometimes have cake depending on how we feel. They serve amazing sandwiches, paninis, soup etc as well as lovely homemade home cooked meals and full breakfasts. It is all very dog friendly so you can bring your furry friend if you wish to. The owners and all the staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you. Nothing is too much trouble and they really look after their customers and its clear to see they love what they do. Thank you so much for looking after us week after week. Long may it continue. You keep serving and we will keep coming!

We arrived at the cafe with our dog not too far from closing time after a long rainy walk and were instantly welcomed for a late lunch. Such a friendly and relaxed vibe we didn’t want to leave. There are not many places where you are made to feel so comfortable particularly with a large dog in tow! (He was made to feel just as, if not more, welcome than the humans!) We had breakfast there on the day we were leaving the area and once again 11/10 for everything. Amazing home cooked food. Thank you

Fabulous Cafe! My son recommended this cafe, he had been there a few times and loved the place. We walked up the incredibly scenic cwm and then retired to the cafe for refreshments. The cafe has an extremely comfortable and welcoming ambiance and the owner is a very bright and friendly lady, offering a wide selection of food and drinks. I had a delicious Lemon Drizzle cake with a terrific white chocolate shake and my son had a very tasty looking Welsh rarebit. Altogether a most enjoyable experience.

We can only mirror what everyone else has already said. Food was stunning, staff friendly and welcoming and the place was comfortable and totally spotless. We took our grandchildren, who loved it and can't wait to go back. We are looking forward to going ourselves in the next few days to check out the breakfast. Our welsh collie made himself comfortable under the table - and was appreciative of the free treat! Thank you all - you are doing a great job and have got yourself a new customer.

Stopped here today with my parents and had lunch. The food was absolutely amazing. We had three different pieces of cake after lunch and these were to die for. The staff were brilliant and i will stop here every time i pass now that i know it’s there. What a little gem if you are passing.

Came in here for breakfast with my son whilst staying local on holiday. Food was lush and really was made to feel welcome, even let my son feed their fish 😊

A huge thank you the fantastic ladies who provided the most warm welcome! My partner, and I came to have a sweet treat having spent 2hrs walking. We were thirsty and asked for a bottle of water with the cakes that we had selected. But the lady was super kind and said, nope I will bring you a jug instead, go and chill!!! Wow! How lovely is that. The water was filled with lemon and ice! Exactly what was needed. The cake selection is out of the world, and what was amazing was that they are made locally! We love that. It's a lovely gem of a place, nestled in a beautiful street with an amazing view. We will return!

Delicious food at reasonable price in lovely cafe . Staff were very pleasant and attentive. The cheesecake was to die for ! Will definitely be visiting again soon.

Marvellous café. Very friendly staff. Wonderful cakes and proper coffees. Recommended to all our friends passing through Dinas Mawddwy. If you are there on a weekday in good weather be warned - the fighter jets flying through "The MACH LOOP" training area are very noisy!
