Fab food, fresh and perfectly cooked. The review of overpriced needs a reality check. There are a range of prices, choose what you can afford, knowing everything is amazingly tasty. We eat lunch here every time we visit Aber and we have never been disappointed whether simple Goujons or Jonah’s Fish Fingers or special Seafood inspired meals. Thoroughly recommend. We also recommend Jonah’s fresh fish shop, which is across the street from the cafe. Quality fish, great fishmonger.

Small, friendly fish restaurant, nice lunch menu, not too much choice but a variety of dishes and very competitively priced.

We went in as a family group of 6 for a late lunch. Although some items on the menu had already finished, what we had was delicious! We had almost everything on the menu, including oysters, which were plump and delicious - brought fresh from the fish mongers across the road - the best I have had for a long time. The kids loved the fish finger sandwiches, calamari and mussels!

Wasn't sure if it was dog friendly, luckily for me it is very much so. I had the days special of Lobster, skinny fries and salad. Absolutely beautiful lots of lovely flavours. All of the food being served looked lovely. Very pleasant staff... Thankyou xx

The thai prawns were delicious and crab dish also good, but both overpriced. Unfortunately the flat white coffee was so large and milky the coffee was too weak to taste. The hot chocolate the same, with not enough flavour. Our bill for two dishes and two drinks seemed very high so would not go back.....will seek better value elsewhere

Jonah’s Kitchen is our favourite cafe. The standard menu is tasty and filling and the specials are restaurant quality. Obviously the fish is fresh from their shop over the road and the kitchen magic is incredible. You won’t be disappointed.

We moved to Aber last year, and Jonah's is a restaurant we re-visit often. They change up their menu every few weeks, but everything we've had has been comment-worthy. My wife loves the humble fish finger sandwich, which features crispy strips battered fresh in-house and outstanding bread from a local bakery. I've been delighted with the shellfish mains, but I also recommend the soup and bread combination because the soup of the day has been consistently good. I've only seen it once, but if clam chowder is on the menu please do yourself a favor and order it. I grew up with good chowder in Massachusetts, but Jonah's chowder is easily the best I have ever had. I'd recommend Jonah's for coffee, too. The coffee itself is outstanding, but Jonah's shines over some of the other spots in town because it is usually quiet (much faster service than Coffee 1 for example), they're very welcoming, and you'll hear Welsh in the shop.

Cegin Jonah's has the best fish in Ceredigion - we love them! The mussels, the dressed crab, the octopus are all to die for. They will even deliver to the Bottle and Barrel across the way, where you can wash it all down with a tasty pint.

Stopped in town for a quick bite enroute to Bala. We stumbled across Jonah’s and were delighted with the experience. Limited seating but we were fortunate to get a table. We ordered the pan seared halibut and the smoked haddock chowder. Everything was made to order. The husband and wife team were most gracious. I heartily recommend this spot for a casual but delicious lunch.

Lovely little place. Looked by chance at the menu when walking past early on a Saturday morning. We both had scallop, bacon and black pudding rolls, piping hot tea and coffee. Loved the fact that the chef popped across to the related fishmonger and came back with the scallops in their shells. Tasty roll, possibly could have done with a fried egg for a little moisture but really yummy.

First time I had been here and it was brilliant. I had thought about having the lobster (from the specials board). I am pleased I didn't. It was huge, saw the plate going past for another customer. It did look lovely, but I would not have been able to do it justice, was not that hungry! I had the smoked fish platter (starter really) but enough for me for lunch). It was fabulous. The service was brilliant, and I was even asked if my cup of tea was the correct strength for me.

World class seafood! (They own the fishmonger across the road so guaranteed fresh!) But the ex-factor is Craig who made sure we had a good time! What a gem in Aberystwyth! It’s a must-eat when you are here :)

Kept seeing ‘A’ boards dotted around the town which intrigued us as to what this place was. Had an absolutely lovely sardine brunch here and then bought some tuna and salmon from their mongers over the road for supper. It appears from the photo we took that the popularity causes queues and even occasional veneration from visitors. Impressive!

This small restaurant is hidden away in a side street but I’m so glad we decided to investigate. There is a very reasonably priced menu of seafood so nicely presented. It sits opposite the fishmongers and they obviously care about their produce. It’s not dog friendly so we sat outside - service was very friendly and efficient. We had the mussels and gravadlax, both delicious. I’d definitely return if we lived locally or visited again.

A simple menu (mainly, if not all, seafood) delivering wonderful fresh seafood. A new addition of alcohol also which is a bonus. Also serving take away. Mussels, dressed crabs, oysters, sardines, scallops fish goujons etc. ran by local couple who also own the fish mongers opposite.
