Amazing chai with good ambience and service! A must visit with friends to hang out and chill.

Today I ordered ved kabab roll for take out because I’m vegetarian and they gave me non- vegetarian kabab roll (chicken kabab roll) if you want store information than it’s chaiwala, city road, Cardiff and date was 18/03/2024 from 23:45 to 19/03/2023 00:10 I’m to have exact time but you can check in this timing 🙏🏻🙏🏻

If you love Indian Street food and that taste go for it you will never get disappointed. Tried Panipuri , Samosa chat, loaded fries with chicken, chicken tikka roll, butter chicken roll,Karakk chai, all in its authentic taste

Our takeaway meals were missing condiments which formed part of the meal on the menu. Instead of yogurt to go with the Parata it was a watery mint sauce. The cut Parata was the size of my hand but cunningly cut up to disguise all these short cuts. Didn’t notice until we got home. Felt like we were shafted and disrespected. Don’t serve food if you can’t do it fairly and give the customer what they pay for.

I ordered at 1 in the morning so can't really complain about items being forgotten but still my buttered chicken never got delivered or my J2o but the food is amazing but my tongue is on fire amazing food though I loved it would have rather had my chocolate caramel shortbread not melted and loved to have received my buttered chicken and J2o Uber eats is a rip off as well only get refunded 1 item and I found out they put their own prices on and charge service fee

It's absolutely terrible. First of all, they promote false advertising. For example, a chicken roll is advertised with lots of filling and season and is the size of a large burrito, however, in reality, it is 10x smaller and costs an extortionate amount. Next, the chicken roll has no seasoning what so ever up to the point that you dont know whether you are eating chicken or being scammed and eating baby food. I won't be visiting here due to my terrible experience and will not be recommending this place to anyone as well!

Food and tea are average, some crazy markups on some of the food as well. There are enough lights in this place to power a nuclear station as well, maybe I’m getting old but the acoustics in this place are so bad you can barely hear yourself speak in there as well.

Absolutely love the place it’s my everyday go to. Love the staff working there specially rudes and rayyan. They make me fell like Fam there. I definitely recommend this place to everyone

Absolutely love the place been a very devoted customer ever since Chaiiwala Cardiff opened its doors. Very humble staff, spot on food. However, I felt bad to see a young child working on Wednesday this week in the evening, really sad to see such an established organisation having 10yr olds at work.

The taste, serving and decoration of the food is excellent. But I am a bit disturbed by the sound of loud music.

I loved the atmosphere, and I liked Karak Chai. The staff was also very nice and pleasant especially Ajay and Arun. This is the best chai I tasted ever

We had a really good time. The Desi breakfast was fantastic accompanied with Karak Chai. Rayan’s customer service was fantastic and he was on his toes at all times.

The worst food I have ever tasted, I ordered a rice bowl of butter chicken, it was totally no butter chicken and was tasteless and insipid. Don't order anything from here, you will regret it for sure.

Good place to go for an anytime breakfast or late night snacks/drinks and chin wag...and it's open until 1.30am. I've tried and liked their Desi Breakfast, Karak Chai/Coffee, Masala Chips and Mogo Chips. I've also tried their Cheese & Chutney Toastie...it was 'ok', but thought the chutney jam was a bit too sweet in it. Prices are not too expensive either.

I have heard from many people that the staff's behaviour is really bad but now I have experienced it. One of the staff was really shouting at another staff member in front of the customer for taking orders around 12:46 where the shop is filled with people. And she was also degrading him in front of me, as a customer I felt so bad for him. Try to teach your staff good behaviour. Even though your food is incredible and tasty the service and atmosphere is really not that great.

The food is ok. But the workers are very disrespectful and deserve an overall 1 or 0 star. I ordered tea and I brought a plastic bag that contained sweets (the bag had no logo). They said you are not allowed to eat and drink anything here other than what they sell!!!!

Usually Chai here is good, but today 22/08/2023 around 10.45pm bought 2 pink chais, it was just Luke warm water that was used I guess, not hot at all, the cashier wasn't so professional either.

Lack of seats and the toilet wasnt working. However we were able to place our orders from our table which was very convenient

Horrible service and attitude from the store the HQ - they refused to give my little girl a cup of water, what a shame. I used to go there weekly once or twice now I will never go and you lost a paying customer for a cup of water, what an amazing policy.

I love the chai here. Gives me the authentic feel of Indian chai. The ambience and atmosphere of this place is good. Take your friends and chill out for some time. You'll love it. This was our hangout spot mostly.

Got breakfast from here on Eid, it was really delicious. We ate the food far too quick, to get any pictures. The pink tea and karak chai, are both always so tasty and rich in flavour too. We constantly visit, it is such a relaxing place and a good people watching spot too! It really is worth a visit.

Sometime they give old food and more salt in it. Bad quality taste as well ,when I ordered pav bhaji online for home delivery I got more salt in my food and it was cold. And few buns are to hard to eat. And I pay the money for my food and I did not satisfied with the quality of food.

Located on a busy Cardiff road, a clean modern looking restaurant, with traditional asian artwork. A decent variety food and drinks, which taste nice. The only negative point, a select few of their staff seem lazy with serving customers.

Today i went to chaiwala I ordered desi breakfast and samosa chatand karachi bun kabab breakfast was good but samosa chat was disgusting i told the boy there behind the till that samosa chat has too much tamarind sauce he says sauce is changed and not bother to give us refund or exchange it with anything else so rude customer service i am coming to chaiwala since last 3 years this is the second time they did this they should know how to treat a customer👎

The best Indian restaurant I have ever visited in Cardiff. They provide a great Masala Chai, simply the best. Even though the space was small. I love the atmosphere. The staff are friendly and fast serving. The variety on the menu is incredible. I would highly recommend this place to anyone really. A great vibe of nostalgia in the restaurant with the people, the chai and the food.

nice and clean shop however the brightnes of the lights is so high. the drinks were good, I preferred the cold Karak chai more than the hot one.

I generally love chai wala ,But today at chaiwala Caddiff it was something different as I ordered the same butter chicken roll which I usually buy , but the one I bought had stale chicken filling inside it . Hopefully they will try to increase their food quality in the coming days .

When you are in a foreign country you love everything that connects you with your homeland. Chaiiwala is a very good place with karak chay and I tried their Alu paratha which was very yummy 😋. Definitely I'll recommend.

Disrespectful staff. I went today. They lack basic manners of how to treat clients. This guy with glasses literally banged on our table to pick the disposable cups because our child was crying. Would never ever go here again.

I've been to multiple chaiwala places through out UK... this one was unique. Staff was serving with unwelcoming face... we ordered multiple items for breakfast... frozen prathas were cooked and served, you get pack of multiple pratha for £1 or £2, chaiwala selling 30pence paratha for approx £4. Staff was confused... called multiple times to serve the full order they kept missing items.

Went here today after a few weeks , usually pop in once a month at least, usually food is nice, never complain as flavours spot on ,atmospheres nice , there was 3 on us that wanted to try the english-ish breakfast.when it came the turkey rashes were so burnt almost like a piece of rubber, sausage was so nice,Tea was amazing as always, its sad as my nephew went yesterday and it was cooked really well , don't know what happened today. You need to be consistent otherwise perfect 👍🏼 still deserve a 5 star. Picture to follow

Went in here with no clue. Ordered something on the menu that looked good. The guy on the till said "You should have something more with that. No, not chips, that's boring. Try this." Was he right? Very much so. If you know what you're after, great. If you're as ignorant as me, order whatever they tell you. It's great.
