A nice place to go for a drink but I personally prefer the Tudor Tavern across the road. However, if that place is busy come here and you won't be disappointed

We visited the curry House opposite and popped in here for a quick drink. On opening the door, we were welcomed by a friendly crowd of locals who were listening to 2 guitarists singing and playing a Fleetwood mac song. The atmosphere, staff and beer were great, and a quick drink turned into the whole evening!

Had a great elvis night last weekend. All staff were friendly & rocket speed at serving.. just wish this was a bigger venue.

Great pub in East Preston run by Britain's superb landlord "Colin the Clock". Sometimes assisted by his son Kit "The Barcode Signature". Colin featured far left in this photo with some of the regulars sitting in the sun putting the world to rights!

STILL the best bar in the area, hands down.

Staff are very friendly, lovely atmosphere. Fabulous selection of gin as well as bar nibbles. The sweet pickled onions are delicious.

Tiny little pub which hosted an 80s singer last Saturday. Such a fun night and to actually dance on a dance floor again was brilliant. 241 on cocktails went down a treat. Reasonable prices. Would def go again x

Recently popped in here with my brother, who was visiting me, and after showing him the beach, we had a quick pint. Nice pub, nice choice of beer and nice staff.

A little bit of reminiscing last night as I'd not been back to this area in over 25yrs! Happy to see the clock house replaced the old Barclays. Very good selection on tap including the holy grail known as Blue moon. Great atmosphere & staff.

Every Sunday live music. Always friendly staff & atmosphere too. Fully recommend this village Pub. Has a sofa seated area for those who wish to sit down.

Absolutely packed house for an Elvis tribute artist on a sunny Bank Holiday Sunday evening. Couldn't move in the place - struggled to get to the bar which was partially blocked anyway with women sitting at the bar.

Very nice pub with a selection of 3 real ales, the two I tried were absolutely lovely. One very small complaint, it's difficult to get to the bar as there's bar stools all along the bar and if it's busy as it was when I visited then you need to reach across those day at the bar, no problem for me as I've got long arms and don't care if I elbow someone in the ear lol.

Super dog friendly place, (they like humans too!) Plenty of choice, coffee is available as well as food.

Live music nights are terrific at the Clockhouse - especially some of the tribute acts which prove very popular with clientele. A great selection of beers and spirits too!

The Clockhouse was a great place to go for a drink. We had a nice chat with some of the local residents. They made us feel right at home. We loved how dog-friendly it was.

Nice friendly bar, not a pub as such, more wine bar-ish. Some times too many dogs running about off the lead. Good beer though.

Poor quality English style tapas only worthy of someone who doesn't have any idea of what tapas should be like. I hate having to fight my way into any place through a gang of smokers blocking the doorway. On the night we went there, there was a party of 6 people who were so loud it spoilt everyone else's enjoyment and the staff did nothing to try to reduce the noise. Sorry for the review but this place could be great but it falls far short of anything we'd expect, especially at the prices being charged.

We’ve been meaning to eat here for ages and when we had friends to stay decided this was the time. It’s on the Main Street in East Preston, almost next to the recreation ground. There is a lively bar downstairs with live music whilst the dining area is upstairs. The room is almost like being in one’s home with a bookcase full of books etc. and other homely touches. There are only a few tables. The menu is limited, food was ok but we did find the selections a bit random. Drinks were good and staff really friendly

Had lovely tapas meal on Saturday upstairs lovely ambience and great service we had a ball and then danced to band in pub afterwards My only issue was that king prawn dish had tiny prawns only, no king prawns in sight and buffalo mozzarella was very bland so could have sourced a better product but whole night was very fun

We had seen a number of references to this place and decided to check it out with some of my London relatives. It is basically a restaurant on the first floor of what appears to be a lively pub - some of the noise coming up through the floor. Access however is up some quite steep stairs which might be a problem for the less mobile. The chairs are the high stool type which, although well padded, can be uncomfortable to sit on for too long. My fellow diners were somewhat surprised by the brevity of the menu for a Tapas bar. Although the usual olives and other items were there, there was little real choice in the choice of dishes - particularly meat and fish dishes. What we had was fine but it seemed more like a snack bar than a fully fledged Tapas Restaurant.

Visited last night, food very nice, Pinot Grigio was a bit rough but the white Rioja was great, some of the tapas dishes a little overpriced but generally all good. Attentive but not in your face service. I’m sure we’ll be back.

My favourite watering hole in East Preston. Colin, Karen and Kit are very welcoming. Tapas at the weekend are excellent.

The most amazing food ever! Karen and Olivia are lovely and their customer service is on point! Pricing is reasonable and the food is beautiful. Would recommend to everyone!!

My husband and I recently came here for a date night, and as always, Karen and Olivia did not disappoint!

I recently went for the first time to Soiree Bistro with close friends, the food was delicious!! It has a lovely atmosphere, plus we were able to take our time to really enjoy our meal without feeling rushed. Karen made the effort to talk to everyone - a great hostess, I would definitely recommend a visit!

Another wonderful meal at The Clockhouse soirée bistro. It’s so refreshing going out to dinner and being able to truly relax in lovely surroundings and enjoy the most beautiful dishes. Karen goes above and beyond and I can’t wait to come back again soon.

Had the most wonderful dining experience at The Clockhouse. Never been before but made to feel really welcome. Karen who does all the cooking is very passionate about her food, we had a lovely chat with her and you can tell that’s she’s very proud of her reputation and very keen to keep it up and deliver an exceptional dining experience. Her daughter, Olivia is the perfect waitress, always attentive, nothing is any trouble and also extreme funny! Obviously The favourite daughter! Can recommend the Malbec and the coconut gin. We’ll be back.

Visited here with all a family - 10 of us and we had a great meal. Karen is an excellent host and the food was lovely expecially the Persian lamb with a great yoghurt sauce. Wine was good and our waitress friendly. Would definitely recommend - good value.

Welcoming ambience at this pub on a very miserable day and just enjoyed a couple of very good ales. No food at the pub lunchtime but ordered lovely sandwiches from Pebbles just along the parade, and enjoyed them in the pub. Very dog friendly establishment always call in when on holiday at Rustington

We had the whole top floor to ourselves, noisy bunch of 12 down from London & Herts. Thank you so much for a great evening, freshly prepared food and great mini puds too.

The food and service from Karen were excellent but we were eating our tapas for over 2 hours and the seats were very uncomfortable. They were similar to bar stools and the 4 men all had issues over the evening, it must be a height problem as our wives found the seats okay.

Wonderful evening. Let Karen pick a varied selection of her mouthwatering tapas. Everything excellent and the quality top notch. Everyone should try it and see what we mean, Thank you, Karen, you made our reunion special. Xx

Met up with old friends last week and had a fantastic evening sampling the tapas, Karen guided us in choosing the right amount and we enjoyed them all, the chorizo was my favorite.

Went back last Friday first time for a while and we were not disappointed at all, why had we stayed away so long !!!

Really super tapas food - host Karen brought our party of eight a varied selection - the pulled pork was particularly tasty - but impossible to pick a favourite from the delicious array provided. We all felt thoroughly spoilt with the excellent service provided and would have no hesitation in recommending a visit to this local gem!

Second visit to the Bistro and won’t be the last. Once again the food was terrific and the atmosphere fun. Karen always recommends great combinations of tapas and was a delightful host. The wine was fabulous and there was free live music downstairs afterwards just to round the evening off. Couldn’t ask for anymore really. Loved it.

Have visited the Clockhouse a few times when visiting family in East Preston and have always found a warm welcome. The atmosphere is good in the daytime as well as in the evening. Beer kept well. Haven’t tried the Bistro food but menu is simple and tempting. Give it a try!

Have been here before, however on this occasion I was joined by a group of friends that hadn't been to the Soirée before. They all enjoyed the evening, thought the variety of tapas dishes were delicious and the service and ambience was very good. The vegetarian amongst us was well catered for. I can highly recommend an evening here.

Four of us went for a birthday celebration, the food and service was faultless. Karen and her team are so helpful in suggesting how much to order as we liked the sound of literally everything on the menu. We had a delicious selection of tapas including satay chicken and garlic prawns. We will definitely be booking to come back, thank you.

Our 2nd visit to the Bistro, but this time took our daughter & her family. We all loved it. A great atmosphere as soon as we walked in. Karen is a great Host giving lots of advice on tapas selection and sensible quantities to order (Well, there was a lot to choose from!). All the food was fresh and delicious. Good choice of wines & beers to choose from at sensible prices. Would thoroughly recommend. We had a great evening and will be back soon. Thanks to all at the Bistro. John & Julie

We've been meaning to visit a while after visiting the Clockhouse just for drinks. The service was great from the moment we walked through the door. We had a really nice table and the atmosphere was really relaxed and friendly. Food and wine was fantastic and also really reasonable. Fresh ingredients and really nicely presented. It was lovely that Karen came out to check that everyone enjoyed their meals and took her time talking to each table.I would definitely recommend for a romantic night out or a night with friends. We'll definitely be back.

12 of us had a wonderful evening here to celebrate my birthday. I had asked Colin and Karen if they could host an evening of cocktails then food. They were both so helpful beforehand. We had the Bistro to ourselves which was lovely and Colin made 4 different types of cocktail and kept them flowing for a couple of hours. A quick breath of fresh air whilst Karen and her team set the table and then we were back up to enjoy an absolute feast. Food was so tasty and fresh. The perfect evening and all my friends and family were super impressed with everything.

Very good freshly made food, specials board which changes so you can try different things, very good service we will definitely go again it has a lovely atmosphere and the prices are good too!!

Had our first visit to the Soiree Deli since its relocated to upstairs in the Clockhouse.The same high quality small plate tapas style food prepared by Karen with a few house favorites and weekly changing specials. Always take the garlic prawns when they are on the menu and team with the garlic mushrooms and some crusty bread.With the move you have the added benefits of a more interesting vista from the dining room and the full range of draft beers, lagers and ciders and premium spirits from the Clockhouse bar below and an expanded wine selection in the deli.

We are regular visitors to both soirée & bar and have always found both Karen & Colin great hosts.The food is always great as is the service and the atmosphere .

I chose to host my birthday celebration here with 12 friends. Karen and her staff were brilliant, very accommodating,friendly and attentive.The whole evening was great from start to finish with a lovely relaxed ambience.Karen suggested menu choices to me beforehand and they were perfect, the food was amazing, cooked beautifully and very tasty.The wine choices are great and we had various drinks bought up from the bar. This is a perfect venue to hold a celebration or just have dinner. I would thoroughly recommend this deli / soirée bar as a great place to visit. A real gem in East Preston

Just wanted to say the four of us really enjoyed our tapas on Friday evening. It was delisious. Well done to Karen - great food with a personal service. Highly recommend an evening there.

We visited as a group of 12 friends. We had the venue to ourselves. Karen put a menu together for us in advance. It was a very relaxed atmosphere. The food was delicious and the prices very reasonable. Would definitely recommend.

Holy cow that was GREAT food!! Loved every single bite, and SO many great items to choose from! Haven't had buffalo mozzarella that fresh in ages! Loved having the intimate dining room where we could have conversation without yelling over loud crowds or music. The owners served us personally and were wonderfully warm and funny. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening and will be going back again very soon and often!

A lovely relaxing catch up with friends over a good selection of tapas style food and drink. Karen and Colin have done a great job moving the venue into the Clockhouse Bar. Can't wait to go back again.

We booked for four of to have dinner at the Clockhouse Soiree having heard great reviews. We enjoyed beautiful tapas style food which is was all home cooked.... really lovely tasty food! We enjoyed various dishes including stuffed peppers with feta, artisan breads, spicy beef meatballs, peanut satay chicken & Asian infused Tuk tuk salad (plus much more!) and I mustn't miss out the homemade chocolate Brownie with Sussex vanilla ice cream and all of this for only £20 a head! Everything was served with a smile and Karen made sure it was all perfect. We will definitely be booking up again.

We were perfectly looked after. We were unable to find a veggie restaurant at the last minute and this was a surprise find and we shall definitely be returning when I return in June. Lovely food, suitable for both vegetarian or non-vegetarians. Lovely tappas. All home cooked meals. Beautiful bottle of red wine. All served with a smile. The ambience delightful, and as sisters we were able to relax, giggle and chat. (Afterwards, we went next door to choose from a superb choice of 36 gins!)

Had a great Christmas eve dinner at the Deli ! Food by Karen was excellent - Smoked Salmon / Parma ham salad starters followed by Beef Wellington / Salmon en croute and lots of tasty desserts . Seating was intimate so we got to know our fellow diners and village gossip. Great atmosphere. Going back there this Friday !

Brilliant pub/wine bar with a fantastic atmosphere. The staff are really friendly and they always have live music on. I've had a private function there, where they did the catering in a private room then put live music on, Great. I've also gone in there for lunch, which was from their Deli, really enjoyable, they even do special deals - just ask at the bar.
