A very welcoming friendly restaurant One of the best curries we’ve EVER had. Layer on layer of spice, both aromatic and tasty. Would definitely visit again.

Very pleasant welcome. Lovely host. Great menu choice and the dishes were explained well. Food was delicious, we will definitely return! Best curry we have had for a long time.

We love visiting Naz, Refa & Ash at the jewel in the crown restaurant. Friendly and great food with a very impressive menu. Their mixed grilled meat is delicious and one of my favourites. if you want extra spice, chillies no problem. Almost like visiting family.

Had the tiger prawn curry and lamb tikka biryani. Flavoursome, filling and had the perfect amount of spice. Highly recommend :)

Excellent Staff who were incredibly welcoming and polite. The food was a great standard and value for money - highly reccomend if in the area and looking for an Indian authentic meal.

I can recommend the Jewel in the Crown we had the most fabulous meal and the service was exceptional. We had a very big group and even so there was nothing that was too much trouble. Excellent and we will frequent again and again. R Duncan family and friends Cheshire.

My family and I visited here as we have come to stay for the week.Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. The food was very tasty. It satisfied myself, two fussy daughters, and beat my husband. It's not often that he can't finish his food for generous portions. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. So tasty thank you

Absolutely dreadful experience. How this has been awarded 4.6 is completely incredulous. Uninviting welcome that represented a cafe as opposed to a restaurant. Ambience was non existent with bright full lights and a reluctance to improve this. Atmosphere and decor failed to depict an authentic Indian experience. The attitude of the main front of house was dismissive to the point of being rude. We walked out, which didn't seem to surprise the staff and went elsewhere. Being on holiday in this area and a special occasion for us this visit was totally disappointing. I urge you not to be fooled by the ratings and dine elsewhere

Great welcome, lovely food which was not overpriced, and plentiful. Friendly atmosphere, and a nice varied menu, with good range of drinks.

Lots of empty tables but booked for later so wouldn’t do a table for me offered take out but the mix stater was only for two bageriet not cooked in the middle chilli chicken ok but not special l have been spoiled with excellent food and good service at my usual restaurant

Well where to start. Service was shocking - slow and he was rude. Food was cold and overpriced. Keema & chilli naan bread was £4.90! My rice and naan was topping nearly £10 without the garlic king prawn curry wHich was £14.90. I would’nt mind paying if food was 5* quality. But it was’nt in my case. Called to complain and Refa has put my name in her book but havent has any solution. I will use Spice in Penlan street from now on. NOTE to other customers aswell - there are lot of intimidating men outside the establishment smoking and staring at you and dog faeces everywhere. (Puts you off the place before you walk in to be honest)

We were recommended The Jewel in the Crown as we were craving some Indian food. We were not disappointed. Service was excellent and the waiter who looked after us couldn’t do enough to ensure we had enough of everything. The food was amazing, absolutely delicious.
