Thoroughly enjoyed our experience yesterday evening with friends at this wonderful place. Adapted brilliantly to current situation. Staff excellent: attentive, friendly and knowledgeable- especially Bethan. Food delicious and beautifully presented. All in all a delightful time.

We booked to eat in the evening, and ate in the hotel's very spacious wedding venue (Cow Barn). Absolutely loads of space between tables, so it was a very peaceful meal - and the food was very good.- crab cakes made with locally caught crab, fillet steak from beef from the farm. Would really recommend - especially as it can be difficult to book in Pembokeshire in peak season, and they had good availability when we went - probably as no weddings any time soon. And lovely service from friendly local staff.

Three generations of our family had a fabulous Sunday lunch at Crug Glas last week. We loved everything about it. The service was professional yet discreet, the food was local, tasty and varied and our children were well catered for with nothing too much trouble. We would highly recommend Crug Glas for a delicious meal in beautiful surroundings.See you soon.

We recently went for dinner. It was my husband's birthday so prior to going I spoke to a member of staff asking if they could put some 'sparkles' or confetti on the table - they said they could, so I was very disappointed when we were shown into the restaurant (carrying our own drinks - as no offer was forthcoming from the waiter) to be told to "sit at any of the 2 seat tables". Not a sparkle of confetti to be seen :-( . Such a shame that a simple request could not be dealt with. The meal was well cooked, though I had duck with plum 'sauce' which was so bitter it was only just edible, and I like a tart sauce!Considering this is a country house hotel which caters for weddings we found the staff somewhat unprofessional: one waitress bid us good morning despite it being evening - when I pointed it out she replied "oh that's bad isnt it", she asked if we had been before and when we said 'no' the conversation ended..... More staff training is required. Following the meal we were shown to the lounge, which does not have enough comfortable seating, where we had to sit on 'cubes' feeling very uncomfortable and conspicuous. We had so been looking forward to this birthday meal but it just did not deliver. £114 bill for two, plus £30 for a taxi, sadly we will not return.

We had a lovely meal at this restaurant just outside of St David’s. Food was very impressive and the service was warm and friendly. Lovely venue - espeacially if you are wanting to escape the busier venues in St Davids!

We have just returned form a three night stay at Crug Glas. Three of us stayed in Room 5. The room was lovely and full of thoughtful and individual touches. We ate on the first night in the hotel restaurant; the food was excellent. In truth the same could be said of many hotels (but not the one we moved on to unfortunately). What distinguished the hotel for us was the willingness of all the staff to accommodate us without any hesitation. Before we arrived the hotel were advised that our daughter had a food allergy. This was accommodated without any drama or difficulty. We returned one evening and asked for a glass of wine. They were content without any hesitation to open a new not inexpensive bottle for one glass notwithstanding that it would clearly be undesirable from their perspective to do so - I would add that we declined and went with another already available bottle. We would recommend this small hotel to any one thinking of a stay in the area.

This is a lovely place to stay and a short distance from the stunning Pembrokeshire coastal path. However I wanted to comment on the food as 19th out of 22 in St David's feels harsh! We had an excellent meal, an amuse bouche to start which was a nice touch and then the best arancini I've had outside of Italy. Main meals were plentiful and well done followed by calorie busting but delicious desserts. Service very good too.

Four of us went for dinner at Crug Glas, and were not disappointed. A lovely cheerful welcome, then seated in the comfortable lounge while we chose our meal from the nice menu - not too many choices (usually a bad sign). We all enjoyed our starters, mains and those of us that wanted dessert...What was especially nice was that there were interesting vegetables with all our main courses. Tempura style courgettes, red cabbage, sweet potatoes, cabbage and green beans, roast potatoes. Nicely presented and well balanced. We're regualr visitors to this part of the world and we'll certainly go again.

The first telephone conversation with the owner of Crug Glas was warm and welcoming. An idyllic spot in the countryside. We happened to be the only one's staying overnight.Judged 4 rather than 5 as we wondered how 'full' for example, the lounge accommodation wise, would be if all the rooms were booked.Food -very good. Decor of our re-furbished bedroom/en-suite-very good. M and J Morris.

Don't expect anything other than substantial portions of calorific cooking. The menu is interesting and varied but the cooking style is heavy duty and hard going if you are other than a trencherman. There is always a vegetarian option on the menu but if you like fish, unless you like it cooked with chorizo, ham or other meat, you may well be disappointed.
