Wow where do I begin. This restaurant was recommended and they were so right. The food is fantastic and staff attentive friendly and we asked for their recommendations- yes he was right to the point we ordered another portion. All the food was tasty, the ambiance brilliant and the cocktail a must. It was very busy even at 5pm and glad I made a booking, it numbers didn’t take anything away from it all. They had plenty of staff, service excellent and quick. A massive tick ✔️ on the list of restaurants to go back to

Hello mate thanks for following my journey to the uk. When I saw the line up the block like no joke, I know I must go in and check it out. The line moves quick so don't worry. Mine was half the block and took 30 mins for a party of 2. The place is huge. They don't take reservations has lots of places do in london. . BREAKFAST ASSAM (POT) Assam is the most well-liked tea-leaf in India. Malty, brisk and bright. 3.70 . So we sat down and tried their hot tea and bless my heart it was so temperature hot and it hit the spot. Perfect for a chilly night in london with rain. No other way to enjoy hot tea. . CHILLI BROCCOLI SALAD - this was really good and refreshing to the palette when needed. As well I love the veggies and this is what's in the salad, listed below. (HALF PORTION) Toasted pistachios and shredded mint leaves with finest, greenest broccoli, fresh red chillies, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, dates, lime and honey. (V) (S) 6.90 . ROOMALI ROTI ROLLS - this is what they use to roll the chicken Tikka rolls. Roomali Roti Rolls are made with delicate 'handkerchief' bread, baked and filled to order from midday until late at night. Best eaten with the hands. DISHOOM CHICKEN TIKKA ROLL - this was really good and like a sandwich but a lighter version. Reminds me of Costco deli rolls, but of course more fancy. The flavor was there. It's a good filler food. Listed below is what it consists of. Spicy charred chicken, lavish salad and tomato-chilli jam. (S) 10.50 . GRILLED MALAI MUSHROOMS - these are addicting and easily just non stop after the first bite. Listed below is what it consists of. King oyster and chestnut mushrooms with malai marination, char-grilled for bite and finished with butter, lime and masala. (V) 9.90 . CHICKEN RUBY - ok the sauce is to die for. Drench it in everything. Mine as well I say use it to shower myself if I can lol. So good. Reminds me of a chicken Tikka masala dish. One of my favorite sauce dish in london from trying all these wonderful Indian restaurants. Even mama t. Agreed with me. Listed below is what it consists of. Tender chicken in a rich, silky makhani sauce. A good and proper curry redolent with spice and flavour. 15.90 . Overall I was going to get a few more items but the server say I was ordering too much for 2 but we did finish it all lol. London portion is smaller compared to USA so of course we can do it, but I used the opportunity for portion control lol. So it was great service and we enjoy our experience. Thanks for reading and have a yelptastic day. Follow me for more travel eats. Cheers mate!

We’ve been told my several people that while in London we must try the Indian food and after some research we found Dishoom. First…our server (Yaz on the receipt) was exemplary! Every dish recommendation she gave was perfect for me and my husband. She was also attentive and had a great attitude! Second…the food was so much more delicious than we could have imagined. I would have posted pictures but we were just enjoying the dishes too much to think about it. We started with the ginger lemon honey tea and some chili cheese toast…which my husband chose and I’m so happy he did. For mains we ordered the House Black Dahl (I cannot understand how lentils can taste that good), chicken ruby (like traditional masala with a modern twist), and oh my goodness the paneer tikka…yes please give me the cheese! Of course we added some sides of jasmine rice, salad, and roomali/thin rolled naan. Everything bite I had bursted with flavor! We will probably go back for breakfast tomorrow. This will be our go to Indian spot next time we are in London!

A nice sign they make is that they are distributing warm Karak to the people standing in line. In order to avoid this queue, you must make a reservation, and God willing, it will always be crowded. It is one of the most famous Indian restaurants in London and has many branches. To be honest, the food is less than normal, and there are much better places. But truth be told, the prices are very reasonable. From my point of view, I feel that it is normal and the taste of the food is 6/10 Food is halal

Overall: ★★★★☆ Food: Indian/Parsee Long time customer but infrequent to this location. Usual good breakfast options but this time I don’t think the attention to detail was there from the kitchen. Service was spot on though. Only real disappointment on this visit was the refusal to give a breakfast loyalty card which we get from every other branch. Anyway. What I liked: • Excellent service • Consistent, reliable food • Buzzing atmosphere • The naan is great • The chai (bottomless!) What I didn’t like: • Eggs were hard when we asked for them to be runny • Breakfast loyalty cards were refused. Really? We have been going for a long time to Carnaby and High St Ken and never been an issue. Do I recommend going? YES Will I go again? YES Was it good value? YES Price Point: $$

Went here for my daughter's Birthday, I had heard good things about it, they were not wrong. The place was thronged to the max with a great vibe. Serving staff were good and on point though because it was a little busy things were not quite worthy of 5 stars. The food however was delicious. The menu is not a typically English style India restaurant menu. It is less complicated and vast but what is on there is 5 star all the way. We had starters, curries and breads and there was not a scrap left, always a good sign. You do need to book in advance because it gets very busy, a recommendation in itself. I recently visited Dishoom in Covent Garden with some friends on April 18th, 2024. We were excited to try out their famous free chai, as I had been informed by one of the staff members during my previous visit that it was available at a certain time of the day. I was eager to share this information with my friends, and we made a plan to visit Dishoom for some delicious chai. Upon arriving at the restaurant, we were shown to our table and eagerly asked for the free chai. However, to our disappointment, the staff informed us that there was no free chai available. Confused, we asked for the manager to clarify the situation. The manager explained that there was a miscommunication and the free chai was only available during specific days and times. We were disappointed but understood that it was a mistake. Despite the initial disappointment, our experience at Dishoom was still enjoyable. The atmosphere was lively, and the decor had a unique blend of modern and traditional elements.

Despite the inability to make reservations unless you have a party of more than 6 people, the wait outside on weekdays can range from 30 to 45 minutes. However, the service is always welcoming, extremely friendly, and accommodating. The menu offers a good variety of authentic dishes. Highly recommended are the mango lassi, masala chai, various grilled meats, and the fish dishes! Food are delicious especially liked the chicken Tikka and chefs special fish (sea bream fillets x 2). I have had better chicken biryani, garlic Naan and daals (I don't like the extra creaminess carbonara sauce liked daals here). Good mango Lassi but it's funny that they put fennel seeds on top, usually Indian have the seed after a meal. It's a 1 hour wait on Friday 6:15 for a 5 people table but pleasant experience after the wait. They do serve chai for free at random times to the queue. Price wise it's acceptable and reasonable given the location and atmosphere, services and food quality. It's overall a 4.5 to 4.8 for me so it's 5 stars (not considering the queueing experience)

Fantastic Indian fusion fare. Recommend the delicious lamb chops. Expensive but worth it. Waitress was really helpful and attentive. Don’t take evening bookings so prepare yourself for a long wait. Toilets clean. Recommended.

Make a reservation and get in right away Staff very friendly However, I forgot the last piece of rice, so when I told him again 20 minutes later, he said he was sorry and brought it to me. I think it's because there are so many people and it's so busy. I ate in the basement and couldn't hear much. The food tastes so-so, but Korean curry restaurants are also great. Instead, the price was cheap. It costs about 560,000 won.

Had a fantastic experience today thanks to Mouamadou who along with the server made our visit quite spectacular. The food was on point and as it was my birthday I was also suprised with a tasty desert. The service here is on point and always a pleasure to eat here.

Wonderful meal in a wonderful library. The only constructive feedback I'd give was that the pudding was a bit too heavy for after a filling curry. Ice cream or similar would have gone down better. The
