Serves excellent food and the most beautiful pints, especially of Guinness. Hard to beat the Saturday afternoon session which runs into the evening, and helps create a brilliant atmosphere. Love it!

To say it's dated is an understatement, but, oh my god, that food. Great selection, excellent quality, brilliant service, easy to pay and a friendly atmosphere to boot.

Lovely lunch with a friend. Much enjoyed. Good food. Staff were attentive without being overbearing and certainly very pleasant. No rush to leave and certainly we would go back but not have the pie!!.I think they were cooked separately? The filling was delicious and really hot. Served beautifully. Thank you.

Went with three sisters for our tea. Food amazing, staff first class, folk music session in full flow, it was a brilliant evening. We all throughly enjoyed ourselves.

First time here. I had heard great reviews about it, so we decided to ring and book. We were led downstairs to what I believe to be an old kitchen. The order was taken, and the starters arrived. Very pleased with them. Mains arrived, and for me, that was Turkey and Ham. Ham was lovely, but the Turkey was a bit tough. My husband ordered the roast beef, and when it came, I thought it looked like something out of a shop packet. As my husband started to eat the beef it was pure fat. The top pice was okay, but all the meat underneath was fatty, and the slices were paper thin. When we finished I told the waitress but anyone could see that he hadn't eaten it. Nothing was said, so we paid for the meal and left. Sad really as I was going to book my 60th birthday meal there this month. Maybe they will learn something from my comments.

Absolutely no words, this place is a real gem! The food is unbelievable, I find it hard to go past the chicken stack with garlic cream! Staff are so attentive and welcoming and the fire is always blazing! I could dine here daily given the chance!

This is a great wee pub and restaurant located in the centre of Killyleagh. There's a tiny pub / bar, separate restaurant room and further spaces out the back. The atmosphere and vibe are very old-school, authentic Irish and the food is great quality. We didn't have alcohol but the guinness looked amazing.

The food was excellent, good portions well presented and very very tasty.

I took 7 friends from England to the Dufferin on Friday night and we had a brilliant time. One of the most atmospheric pubs in NI, the service was first class, the food was perfect higher end pub grub, and we all had a great night. Thanks Austin, Cath and team.

This place was everything I hoped it would be. I didn’t try the food, but really enjoyed a pint and the atmosphere. There was live music (on a Saturday) and I absolutely loved listening. I loved how so many people seemed to know each other. This is what I expected an Irish pub to be like and I was not disappointed!!! Hope I get to return while I’m in town!

Accueil chaleureux. Grande carte variée. Le beef burger avec pulled pork et sauce BBQ était délicieux, le tout servi avec de bonnes frites de patates douces maisons. Le houmous était très savoureux. J’y retournerai avec plaisir.

Lovely restaurant... The Duff Fish chowder amd Guiness Wheaten bread was lovely as were our main meals (fish and chips, amd the chicken stack) the staff were very attentive, and great service. Will definitely return 👌👌

We ate here twice during our short stay in the area. We went originally for it being nearby and meant to be good quality food but returned again for the same reasons but also because of the first class service from the waitressing staff; they are the best we've come across in a long time. The food is excellent quality gastro pub fare, with a decent selection of choices. The prices are also very reasonable considering the quality.

First and definitely not the last visit to The Dufferin Arms. A warm friendly welcome from the waitress who despite being run off her feet, found us a table immediately. The menu was amazing. Portions extremely generous, parsnip hummus declared delicious, French onion soup was the best my son had ever had and goats cheese fab. Roast beef, house burger and pan-fried sea bass all accompanied with fresh veg and THE best roasties. No room for dessert unfortunately but we will be back soon to try them out.

Delicious food and wonderful service here. Very friendly and so helpful at accomodating allergies which was really appreciated. Good variety on the menu to choose, from light lunches to more hearty winter fillers. Cosy setting inside with the walls covered in old pictures. It is nice to sit there and take it in. On nice days the benches outside are a nice spot to sit.

Whilst on holiday it was our 42nd anniversary and we had a beautiful meal. We both had Scampi. Very friendly atmosphere and staff. Well advised to book.

Great pub, great grub and craic

We went for Sunday evening dinner. The food was perfect and really tasty. We ordered seafood chowder, mussels, pate, steak, scampi and chicken, the menu was varied with something for everyone and the specials board was extensive. The house merlot was a great option too. Service excellent.

Amazing staff and food (variety of vegan options too). The local IPA was lovely even though I don't usually like IPA's! Really recommend, art shops and little galleries either side and nice little walks (we stayed next door) 😊

Went for a meal with my husband and two kids to celebrate his Birthday. Although we are quite local, we have never been to the Dufferin before however, I have a feeling we will be back pretty soon!! Great selection on the menu, food was piping hot and everything had a really home-made look and taste. Dessert selection was also superb and different from the 'norm' that you get everywhere else. The lady that served our table was really friendly and couldn't have been more helpful, definitely a big thumbs up for service. Live music was just starting in the bar area as we were leaving, looks like a lovely spot for a drink. Nothing negative at all to say about this place, really hit the spot and everyone agreed that we would be back again hopefully sooner rather than later!

Typical Irish pub. Full of character. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. We only had a lunchtime drink, but apparently it is great in the evening, and so is the food (we didn't eat, but looked delicious).

Returned to the Dufferin after a few years absence. Scampi was excellent and the bacon chop cooked to perfection. The dessert of orange custard profiteroles was amazing portion size was enough for two. All served by a very pleasant Victoria. Hope to return very soon.

Just as the title says, I've never had a bad experience at the Dufferin. The food is always good and the staff are always friendly. I and a few friends always go for a meal around xmas, and always enjoy ourselves. I was there yesterday evening and had an excellent steak. My only gripe would be that there wasn't a great deal of selection for their starters or desserts, so, unusually for me, I waived the starter and settled for a main.
