Omg this place is amazing! The staff are awesome too and the food is stunning! Can’t wait to come back! It was very clean too which is something many places are lacking.

Fantastic little place with fantastic range of cakes and other items and great service. Would certainly visit again when in the area.

Food was ok but what it was very overpriced. I wouldn’t return they also charge an automatic gratuity which is crazy for a cafe

As someone who runs a bar/cafe I really appreciate the effort of another independent establishment. Décor is cute and dog friendly also which will make our next visit more enjoyable as we'll make sure to bring the pooches for a coffee and cake!

Awful establishment, with awful food ran by awful people. The place is dirty and the employees are rude. A 10% gratuity is AUTOMATICALLY applied without your consent. Disgusting

Was visiting family when we happened to come across this cafe, the food was absolutely gorgeous which was also reasonably priced, lovely helpful staff and the cafe is also very pretty with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Not quite sure when I’ll be visiting family again but when I do I’ll definitely be calling back into the Habitat.

We stopped en route to Inverness and happened across this cafe. Friendly staff, superb coffee and really good toasted teacakes, trust me, we are experts in all things teacakes! We were disappointed not to be stopping for a meal, it all looked really good when it came out to other tables. Don’t miss the opportunity of stopping by here if you can!

Great wee dog friendly place in Aberfeldy. Nice enough to sit outside and the member for staff that came out very quickly put out table and chairs for us. Lovely coffee on a glorious day.

First class breakfast at midday - perfect! We enjoyed the option to add what we wanted to our yummy scrambled eggs on toast - added bacon and beans to mine, added bacon and black pudding to his. Very good quality ingredients. Excellent service. Clean, stylish and friendly café - looking forward to eating here again.

The food and staff are wonderful we ate our first meal of the day here all 5 days we were visiting. The breakfast and lunch items we ate were prepared and presented in a professional manner by a very friendly staff at a reasonable price Hands down the best food experience in Aberfeldy Scotland

Great meal and nice style. Only downside was they took the liberty to add a 10% surcharge for the four of us of a non bank holiday day. They offered to remove it but it should never have been added. Somewhat took away the pleasure of the meal as I kept thinking if that not the great lunch.

Good service, food was overpriced for what it was, sandwich came out a packet and was £10, not worth it imo

The toasted sandwiches were clearly out of a packet- as when asked if we could have something removed/modified we were told that it wasn’t possible as they just come in shop like that and put in the toasting machine

We visited at 3 pm on Sunday, and though due to closing at 3.30 pm, we were warmly welcomed in to take a seat. Ham & Three Cheese Toastie was a delicious combo on crunchy toasted bread - hit the spot on a cold, drizzly Sunday afternoon after a long walk. The cake selection is also plentiful - we opted for the sticky toffee apple crumble cake served with a generous side of cream. Service was friendly and fast.

Went in with a friend after a munro camping trip, had a ham and cheese toasties with fries. Food is really good, staff very friendly price was fair.

We stopped in for a coffee after walking the dogs nearby. As always, there was a really warm welcome from Mike and the team, and a bowl of water for the dogs. The coffee was exquisite.

Lovely spot, friendly staff and delicious food. I had the breakfast toasty with tomato and canellini bean soup, and it was all absolutely delicious (good quality sausages!), my partner had the loaded fies and they were delicious, lovely contrast of smokey bacon and fresh spring onion, and not greasy like a lot of fries are! Plus, rosemary fries, heck yes! Service was also very quick despite being full, very happy and if we didn't live several hundred miles away, we'd be coming back all the time!

The most welcoming dog friendly cafe we have been to. We went while staying a weekend away with our dog. The staff are great and food delicious. We were planning to go back during stay but had a change of plans. We will definitely be back when up that way again.

Lovely little spot in Aberfeldy. Discovered whilst trying to find somewhere for breakfast which they do. Scrambled eggs were delicious and my partner enjoyed his breakfast roll. Coffee was also excellent. Went back a second day for some more coffee and were greeted with a welcome back from the staff and some local chat. Live music started up as we were leaving which was a really nice touch. It's a small cafe but one that offers alot - would recommend.

A decent place, slightly expensive, they also ask to leave tips, which is really bad and tourist oriented. It's already expensive (£10 for a sandwich), asking directly for tips is not a great customer experience. UPD: tipping is ok. What's not okay is to create an awkward situation when a customer is asked for tips. It creates pressure because it's hard to say no. I doubt that this part of the service was never thought about, meaning you might intentionally put pressure on the customers. UPD2: Sorry, I didn't want to be mean. That's why I said "you might put", instead of "you put". And yes, I was directly asked to leave a tip, I don't remember the phrasing exactly, but the member of your team just asked me something like "Would you like to include a service fee of N%?". The pressure is right there, for many people it would be hard to say no, even if they don't want to leave tips. What really mean is appealing to my origin. I left my family and my friends because I don't want to be a part of this and because I don't want to pay taxes for this war to continue, and you have no right to tell me things you said. I made the sacrifice I could to stop that. I'll change the rating form 3 starts to 5 stars so you won't bother anymore. Have a great day. Also, I didn't say no and paid for the service.

We had a wee drive up over the Glen and ended up in Aberfeldy at the weekend. Kids were hungry as usual so we spotted the habitat cafe and popped in for a late lunch. Kids had toasties which they enjoyed and the little one had a sandwich. I had the mushroom soup which was delicious and we shared a huge plate of loaded fries. Cakes looked so good but unfortunately I was too full after the chips. I’ll have to come back another day for cake. Milkshakes for kids and lovely coffees and tea for the adults. The staff were lovely. Also the cafe was very cosy which is always a bonus in this weather.

We sincerely hope that Mike continues to trail the burger nights at Habitat Cafe because we, along with many others, would undoubtedly be back for more. The combination of smash burgers done right, Mike's handcrafted patties, the wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff, and those delectable french fries makes for an experience that's not to be missed. Kudos to Habitat Cafe for raising the bar on burger nights – a culinary journey that we eagerly anticipate continuing.

Over priced, venue was HOT ! No aircon ir air flow. Git kids fish and chips...worst fish we've ever had! So over cooked it was like jerky. No dressing on the salad just dry pre made coldslaw mix. Nothing exciting. Waste of money.

Seriously the quality of the food is AMAZING. Very different than other places like this. It isn't cheap but worthy every penny as the food is so good. Even my kids loved the spiced carrots and red lentil soup. I'm not very keen in a 'typical' British lunch (sanwiches, soup,..), but I really enjoyed today because the fresh and high quality food. Special mention for the REAL masala chai tea.

I was hoping to find a cafe for a cup of tea and maybe something else. I was delighted to find this place. The cafe was busy but I managed to get a seat. I was tempted by the strawberry cheesecake which was really good. There was a good turnover of people I thought the staff coped well.

If you are ever in Aberfeldy I would recommend the Habitat Cafe the food is delicious, the staff are very helpful and friendly and dogs not just welcome but treated as good as you are with water and treats for every dog.

Came across this little cafe and from the second we went in we had a first class experience. Very dog friendly. Friendly staff service. Then we come to the food. You'll have a dilemma. The Cafe looked great but food was overpriced and underwhelming. we ate the breakfast toasties but they were very disappointing. The iced watermelon drink was really tasty but wasnt particularly cold. The atmosphere and staff were really nice though and the cake selection was good.

Popped in yesterday for a bite to eat with my dad, after spending time at the place where my mum's ashes were spread. We needed something light and delicious to cheer us up, so we chose to have their toasties which were unique and tasty, all washed down with a hot and soothing coffee. :-) Wanted to try some of their homemade cakes but time was short. Och well, there's always next time! ;-) The girls were wonderful which made us feel at ease, it's no wonder why we used to come here every year! Thank you girls, hope to see you again soon! xx

Probably one of the best coffees I've had, the food was fine and the staff were friendly. The guitarist is a nice touch. Fairly expensive for what it is though and my girlfriend is gluten free, there's no gluten free options which is fine and understandable but she ordered scrambled eggs on toast without the toast and still got charged almost £9 which seems like a bit of a robbery! Overall worth it for the coffee though

Impressed by the proper cortado, served in a small glass as it has to be, that I could choose between 2 premium coffee beans, the latte art and the overall taste of my cortado. Was not overheated. The flat white was also a proper smaller size, and not a big latte that some places serve when we order flat white. Coffee culture at its best, done well, highly recommended for any fussy coffee person. The atmosphere is also cute.

Is this place ever open? One the rare occasion it looked open today (2nd July 2023) it wasn’t. Recommend The Watermill instead. They’re happy to see customers.

A concentrated effort to be trendy and vegan. Mild cheese sandwich in thick brown bread was overpriced at £8+ and slightly stale. Also contained a sliced pickle which obliterated the cheese. The vegetable sandwich wasn't tasty and most vegetables were unrecognisable. This is disappointing because on our last visit pre-civil and it was fine

Best coffee in Perthshire, if not North Scotland. They live and breathe coffee. Cakes and limited lunch menu isn't extensive, so dont expect lots of hot food choices, but honestly, it's fab as it is. I'm glad it's not too far for me to visit. Nice cosy atmosphere, too. Take a bank card, I'm not sure cash is accepted...

Had lunch here today, and the food was nice but I personally felt it was expensive for what it was. If you are happy to pay Edinburgh restaurant prices for a cafe then you will be really happy with this establishment. It’s clean and apply COVID rules well, and I understand business have increased costs. I also found the automatic 10% added gratuity unnecessary - it does state on the menu this can be removed but how to put a customer in an awkward situation.

Great atmosphere, coffee outstanding and lovely staff. Second visit (after nearly 6 years!) was even better than the first, coffee still exquisite and cake, moist, fresh and delicious. We arrived at 14:59 unaware that they closed at 15:00 but wonderfully the lovely lady just said no problem and allowed us to order a much need coffee and cake, fresh OJ and Danish for my girlfriend (after wonderful hike up Schiehallion). Could not have been more helpful or understanding of shattered hikers looking for rest and sustenance! Highly recommended

Welcomed with smiles. I was absolutely starving and jumped in just before the lunch service ended. I still had an absolutely amazing meal! My toastie hit the spot with oozing melted cheese, fab chutney, and a salad with pickled veg that made the whole thing sing. A fabulous coffee to go with it, and a great pastry at the end for that sweet finish. I can safely say I'll be back here everytime I'm in the area and your doors are open 😌

Lovely find . We visited in January, and this cafe was the only place that accepted dogs. The best hot chocolate I've had in ages!
