Excellent food and service. We will definitely be returning when we are next in Edinburgh. The beetroot pie was beautiful.

We had a wonderful time at Henderson's. I've been loads of times and it's always great food and lovely staff. There is plenty of choice for vegans and vegetarians and it feels really fresh and wholesome. The thing that makes it extraordinary is that the restaurant is dog friendly and the layout of the tables means there are loads of corner seats so your dog can settle in and feel safe, and you don't feel like you're blocking anyone's way. the staff also supplied a water bowl and some homemade dog treats which my pup loved!

Echt een aanrader als je op niveau wilt eten zonder vlees. Het menu is uitgebreid voldoende, evenals de cocktail en mocktail keuzen.

Parfait. Carte végétarienne délicieuse et variée. De la belle cuisine dans un lieux très bien décoré. Patronne commerçante et aux petits soins. Toute l equipe très agréable malgré le monde. Pensez à réserver. Tout y est fait avec goût.

Came upon this lovely restaurant by chance. Friendly welcome, nice atmosphere, comfortable seating, efficient & cheerful service. Excellent, imaginative food & drinks list. ( Amazing cocktails!) The food was both sublime and plentiful; delicious nibbles, which arrived without delay, despite being freshly prepared. Main courses and sides were, without exception, delicious. Already looking forward to our next visit!

The mocktails, starters, mains and dessert all were impeccable, as was the service. Comfortable, friendly and relaxed and really excellent food that restores your faith in eating out.

Just had an amazing dining experience at Henderson's. Last time I was here there were few vegan options and the only gluten free main course was a selection of salads. Much improved this time! The menu is 99% vegan (just go 100% please 😊) and there are amazing gluten free options. I had the buffalo cauliflower wings with ranch dip and the beet bourguignon pie (with mash instead of pastry.... what's not to like)? Hubby had the soup of the day and the roast celeriac. Really lovely bottle of wine, and all their wine is vegan too. Our server was Becky, and she had amazing knowledge of what was suitable for me, being coeliac and was generally absolutely lovely. Keep up the good work, we will definitely be back 💚🌱

This was my second visit for dinner and I think I should point out I am not vegetarian or vegan. Everything about Hendersons is simply excellent. Eating there has certainly widened my horizons. This time I had the gnocchi for my starter and the beet bourguignon pie with green beans and baby carrots. Even now, I cannot believe how rich and juicy the pie was. I hope I will be forgiven for saying that, to me, it had almost a deep meaty flavour. So tasty. One thing I noticed when I looked round the various tables was how colourful the dishes were. Not something I have ever thought about before but it certainly adds to the dining experience. The same can be said for the smiling staff. The two young ladies that waited on the table that I was sharing with a friend were cheerful and very attentive. Overall, Hendersons has got things exactly right. A great dining experience.
