Dinner was excellent, can't fault anything we had, we order a selection of dishes and both steaks. It was all great, the carrots were outstanding, the seafood, fish and meat all cooked perfectly. The sauces were great for dipping the chips in. Their home made sourdough was a lovely start. I'm so glad they had space for us, it was some of the best food I've eaten in a long time. It's a wonderful, I love to share food so I get a bit of everything and I couldn't have been happier. Thankyou

The food is amazing, how can anyone make carrots taste that good I'll never know, our third visit. The food is beautiful, and such a variety every time we have gone. The flavours of the food are wonderful, and theres a variety of drinks on offer. I'm looking forward to my next visit, I'm glad we don't live closer as we would be there all the time. Definitely worth the drive.

Super friendly staff and owners who accommodated us to eat at the bar despite a fully booked restaurant for a busy Easter Sunday. The food is phenomenal and the wine list really reasonable priced for delicious wines. A relaxed atmosphere with 10/10 food. Would highly recommend this recently opened gem- we've already booked to stay and eat again for our anniversary.

The Sticks is just a fabulous Inn with restaurant. Stayed for three nights and we couldn’t have asked for a better place. All the staff are caring, professional and friendly. The Welsh Tapas food is of the highest quality with all dishes, breads, sauces being home made. The menu offers a very good choice with some exciting dishes to choose from. When reading the menu you really do feel that you want to be able to eat everything. This food is of the highest quality. Annie front of house is a true Turophile - ask her to tell you all about the Black Cheddar! The breakfast streaky bacon is the tastiest I think I have ever eaten! Our bedroom was just what we needed. Airy, clean and en suite, with a very comfortable bed. Thank you all, you have a great restaurant and bar with rooms. We will certainly be back soon! David and Dianne

We have just returned from Inn at the Sticks . A big birthday lunch in a group of 15 with kids , dogs , the whole chabang. The food was utterly delicious and thoughtful , the welcome was warm and relaxed and the service second to none . Absolutely love it when you find a total gem like this one . 100 % recommend! We will be telling everyone we know !

What a wonderful find. We went to the Sticks for lunch in February. Immediate impression was that it was a lovely oldy worldly pub that had a really nice atmosphere. The staff could not have been better. Friendly and informative of everything on the menu and how the restaurant worked. They refer to it as Welsh tapas. The food was amazing as was the wine. Living locally means I visit regularly but if you’re visiting Llansteffan make sure to pop in the Deli, it’s really lovely with local items and fresh food. I haven’t had a meal here just yet but will be soon! The whole atmosphere is great and the interiors are really lovely with a nice country vibe.

Called in on the off chance of a table after a stroll on the beach. We had the warmest of welcomes and a great explanation of the "small plates" concept made with local produce. The vibe of this place is relaxed and really friendly, lovely decor thats quirky in places. The food was absolutely belting, it was tasty, plentiful and so much choice on the menu. Would highly recommend the cockle popcorn (try saying that after a couple of beers!) and the bara brith sticky toffee pudding was to die for! This was our first visit as locals and certainly wont be our last. I cant commend the attentive staff enough, they were friendly, humorous and knowledgeable about what was being served. See you again soon.......

Carmarthenshire is blessed with many fine eateries but the new set up here may surpass the lot. Beautifully presented, with a fantastic range of tastes and textures 😊👏

What a find. I can’t praise highly enough the super friendly staff and the honestly phenomenal food and chef team here! Watch this spot closely as it will be the worst kept secret in Southwest Wales soon enough and be booked for months to come! Especially with a no doubt expanding wine bar and deli area when summer rolls around and the garden opens up! More so my partner and I were amazed by the flexibility and ingenuity of the team here when we arrived and surprised them as both vegan by choice and they managed to whip up version of the on menu food and some off menu options no problem in the spot and at no extra cost! Even with this surprise it was incredible! If you haven’t already. Stop by here for a bite and a pint. You won’t regret it!

The Inn At The Sticks is simply gorgeous, in every way. We stayed for one night on February 10th and celebrated a friend's birthday. From the moment my husband and I walked in we were met by such a lovely welcome and made to feel at home. The fabulous Teej and Jenks have put their mark of perfection on this beautiful place. The room we stayed in, right at the top of the Inn, was perfect. We had everything we needed. Lovely little details such as the Welsh cakes in our room and wonderful coffee, plus a very comfy bed. The food itself is exquisite. We've been fortunate enough to dine in some wonderful places over the years, a few Michelin star restaurants. The Inn At The Sticks is up there with all of those restaurants and, if I'm honest, I felt the food was even better than them. That's really saying something. So a huge thank you to Deb, Mel and Craig who create magic in the kitchen. Their creations were sublime. The weekend was one of the best we've had in a long time. What can I say such a wonderful experience. I went with my partner and we stayed overnight, lunch, had dinner, two bottles of lovely wine, carva, and two small glasses of wine which was just under £300. Yes it's slightly pricey but honestly with all that it comes in at really good value. We sadly went there when the weather was horrible so I would recommend going when it's a bit nicer weather as a walk on the beach and having ice-cream would be the lovely icing on the cake we couldn't get, but we plan to go when the weather is nice. The staff and owners are the most lovely people you will ever meet, they made us feel welcome the moment you get there, they are all pretty relaxed Food: I highly recommend the Popcorn cockles and Welsh lavavbread (I normally hate lavavbread) but all the dishes were amazing Drink: treat yourself to a glass of cava to start your meal and the albrino is perfect as a bottle or a large glass with your food. We also had a rose but I thought the other wines we had were slightly better, but ask the owner for a more in-depth knowledge of wines and what would be better suited for your tastes. Room: the room gets very warm, and the shower was a bit small for a 6ft guy haha but it had great pressure and we got some lovely Welsh cakes as a welcome. I look forward to coming back and making it a home away from home when we want a little get away.

What a fabulous dinner this was! Teej (formally of Curado in Cardiff and Ultracomida) and her amazing team have done wonders in this small village, and Inn at the Sticks is just the perfect place to get away for the evening and have a nice night with quality, original food and drinks. And the rooms were excellent too - comfy, clean and well priced! AND there's a deli for drinks and food to take away too!! Highly recommended!

What can I say xx After asking and hearing everyone talk so highly about the food, staff and decor of Inn At The Sticks, I have been following them on instagram for quite a while now so I booked 2 rooms for our friends and us. We checked in at 2 pm, were welcomed like family and had drinks at the bar. We went for a lovely walk to the castle with amazing views. Then back at the pub we discussed the menu and the specials, asked advice and ordered several dishes to share and taste. Delicious food, by far the best in West Wales at the moment. We felt the passion about their food, pub and service from everyone. Then we sat by the fire on the sofa in the Deli and played cards and drank lovely wine. Absolutely incredible food yesterday at this place! Every dish that came out was exceptional including the desserts Dont go here looking for pub grub - it’s not! It’s cuisine of the best type with local products and beautiful flavours. The wine was also perfect we had a white Rioja and a Black Forest trifle. Mackeral Doughnuts yum The potato terrine with truffles was to die for !! Recommend this place massively

It’s got to be the next up and coming Michelin starred restaurant for Wales, surely? The food was truly scrumming, I was the first person to try their delicious Welsh Rarebit and it didn’t disappoint, the staff are wonderful along with the ambience and fantastic drinks! Our first visit to The Inn At The Sticks for lunch and it won't be our last! A wonderful welcome with our 2 dogs, immediately taken care of by the dining room staff in all respects. An splendid menu of choices using a tapas style of dishes and shared between us. A great variety of drinks too. Excellent quality of food accompanied by thoughtful and friendly service throughout. A relaxed atmosphere and decor, easy to find too. Well done and many thanks for a delicious and relaxing meal.

We stayed for two nights, the owners Teej and Jenks took over a few months ago, they have made the place absolutely lovely. I can't compliment the food enough nor the friendly welcome. We had a meal in a 3 star michelin restaurant in Barcelona (ABAAC restaurant) a few weeks previous (very good) but the food here was far better. Congratulations to everybody at the Inn at the sticks, and thank you.

Four of us Popped in for lunch after a walk on Llansteffan beach. Was surprised that the menu didn't have the usual pub fare, but had loads of delicious sounding dishes instead. We all ordered different things and we were all completely delighted with our choices. In my opinion, the food was of 'Fine Dining' quality. Absolutely delicious, and obviously created by a chef that really understands how to combine flavours. To top it off, the service was brilliant and the atmosphere was very welcoming - dog friendly too. 5 stars all round

This place offers a unique combination of great food and relaxed atmosphere. There is an utter attention for detail and great interaction with the customers. The owners put a lot of value in sourcing local and fresh ingredients, and a lot of creativity goes into preparing the specials. Their “wine therapy” is based on knowledgeably and carefully selected wines, the result is an interesting wine list that covers both traditional and curious choices. Their take on the national dish “rarebit” makes for an indulgent yet delicate moment. We enjoyed a choice of mains across the board, including lamb, sole and beef, each one with its own subtle advantage, all surprising in their balance and richness. Our room with traditional beams and high posted bed was tastefully presented, clean and equipped with everything we could need. All in all a fantastic stay and we will be recommending to friends. Great to see such a staple of the town alive and kicking again. Really enjoyed ourselves and will be back for sure. Great for meat eaters and pescatarians. Options for vegetarians were limited despite it being such a fertile time of the year for so much veg! We had a plentiful meal full of meat and fish, whilst my sister ate cabbage and carrots - which were lovely, but the same price as the meat options and don't add up to a well rounded meal. The mussels were excellent and service very pleasant.
