Love Carrigans. The name itself means quality & satisfaction. In over 30 years I’ve never been disappointed in any of my visits.

waited over a hour and ten mins for main meal, chips looked burnt and steak pie was very average not much flavour, was disappointed as traveled to go here . had used one in Eastkilbride before and was lovely

Great food great service portions are big and food was delicious our server was lovely would definitely recommend and we will absolutely be back

5 star food & 5 star service this is our new go to place for family meals. Great menu as well plenty of variety and everything we have tried so far has been lovely, the chicken sinatra is my personal favourite.

Despite having lived in area all my life, and been aware of Carrigan's and it's reputation for years ( decades) , yesterday was my 1st visit... What.took.you.so.long !!!! Fantastic experience from start to finish - Apologies I didn't take note of staff who served us names but all were efficient, knowledgeable and very friendly - Could see from interactions with other tables really take time to build relationships with customers. The meal itself - My Father in Law had Prawn Cocktail - looked lovely, and don't remember seeing as many prawns included in anywhere else I've been - I had the Louisania Chicken which was also a great dish. For main course, I had steak pie - I'm no stranger to a plate of steak pie and gave had many good ones in restaurants over the years - This one tops the lot - Simply put it was the tenderest meat ever had in a steak pie - 2 'small' !! Fish and Chips and a Southern Chicken completed our order - Everyone happy with their choice. For dessert I had the 'Sharing' Mars Bar Fudge cake - all to myself 🙄 Sorry, not sorry - was amazing! All in all our bill for 2 Starters, 4 mains, 4 desserts and 7 soft drinks was just over £100 - I thought would be way more so was extremely happy with that., do as you can imagine was delighted. I will certainly be back again and would highly recommend Carrigan's to anyone

Amazed that this restaurant was so busy on a Thursday,the place was jumping! Both food and service was great. And now the experience is spoiled because I " must have a minimum 100 characters..

As is the case with many people in Lanarkshire, this place is a regular haunt for me and it never disappoints. This time, I opted for the Tex Mex chicken, which was excellent - the chicken was tender and the pulled pork was delicious. At Carrigan’s, you’re always guaranteed a big portion and it’s often sensible to forgo a starter as a result. They also have an extensive range of desserts and the lemon sorbet was the perfect palate cleanser. After your dinner, there’s absolutely no harm in popping next door to the bar area for a few light refreshments. The service at Carrigan’s is always spot on, the food is great value for money and there is a lovely atmosphere too. This place is a must try.

As always, fantastic food, the portions are big enough even for Goliath and the staff make sure you are well looked after. Been here several times and never lets you down.

My favourite restaurant and usually an amazing experience, ordered chicken fajitas and when they came out it was plain chicken with no seasoning and plenty veg, asked the girl if she could bring me some seasoning but she said she would take it back, came...

Food was good. However we were overcharged and when we pointed it out to staff we were told that’s not your bill. A manager then came back to the table with the contactless machine and said I’ll refund it back onto the card. Not once...

The place didn't live up to the hype. The food was awful, felt like reheats and a fresh curry shouldn't have a gel skin secs from the kitchen. Also watched a disabled woman who struggled to walk in the establishment forced to walk up the...

We had a lovely family lunch here - 5 adults. Food was excellent - 4 different main courses. Service was excellent - never felt rushed. Great value!

We were seated promptly staff were friendly and attentive The surroundings are lovely warm and friendly atmosphere But most importantly the food was absolutely amazing could not fault one thing. and a great price too would go back again

Booked for 6.45 arrived at 6.30shown to our table situated in the bar area which was nice & quiet apart from a couple of infants our order was taken I had the highlander steak which was superb the others had the roast of the day...

Service was amazing especially from Natalie , so friendly and accommodating. Food was great , had a combo starter and roast / pasta for mains - all big portions and very tasty , even took some cakes home.

Four of us had a nice lunch here. The food and service were all good and the fact that it was busy on a Monday afternoon says a lot as it is obviously a popular place for people to eat.

Usually enjoy Carrigans but I ordered Salmon. Was totally over cooked and it tasted like it had been cooked several hours before then reheated in a microwave. The salmon was hard and tough. Very disappointed considering I was out for Mother’s Day.

booked table weeks in advance for family of 9 as it was my husbands 70th birthday and we always attended the restaurant on a weekly basis. paid deposit with weeks to spare and I attended earlier in the day to pay more towards the balance...

Arrived for booking at 5pm , we were asked promptly if we wanted a drink or if we needed a couple more minutes, we asked for a couple of minutes. At around 5.10 we asked to place our order as no one had come back...

I go quite frequently and i have never been dissapointed once the food is amazing at great prices and the staff are extremely nice. Cant wait to go again.

Carrigans in Blantyre is the best restaurant for miles. A hidden gem if you are not a local. Attractive building hidden in local streets, with plenty of free parking. Interior is modern and roomy and it has a pub next door that’s equally as welcoming....

I cannot rate Carrigan's highly enough. The food is to die for and portion sizes are massive, no one could clear their plate. The staff were polite, attentive and couldn't do enough for us. Great value for money and i will be back.

To be honest any Carrigans food is going to be top class Barry should be on telly. That said...Steak Pie that is ridiculously well done what are you doing!! I am an old man and if I could choose I would have Finbars and keep the food out of it but move with the times,drink in the bar you willget a proper bar with sport and eat next door you willget top class food at reasonable price. Best in Blantyre obviously but I travel a lot and you are talking best anywhere contender.

I had the steak pie, and was disgusting, found an artery in it, the pastry was soggy. Chips terrible and paid too much. Would expect better at Wetherspoons. Starter was great. Waitress was door, will never be back. First and last, was never asked why we didn’t finish. Hamilton miles better. Huge mistake going there

Carrigans is a wonderful place for functions, lunches or evening meals,not too expensive,clean with an inviting decor,well worth a visit.

Everybody knows Carrigan’s and for a good reason. The steak pie is legendary and there’s plenty of it per portion. The service is fast and all-in-all it’s a top choice.

Very busy but they very kindly managed to find us a table as we hadn't booked. Great service and food delicious. Steak ciabatta with onions, salad, coleslaw and mayo was delicious. My friend had a huge portion of steak pie which she said was the best she had tasted.

Out of the 3 Carrigans I would definitely recommend Blantyre. Service was spot on. The waitress was very friendly. The food was amazing as usual. No scrimping on the size of the dishes. Some dishes are even offered in a small plate. Definitely will be back.

First time being here and certainly won't be the last. The staff where brilliant.the portion sizes where really big. I had the steak pie and cannot fault anything on the plate. We fed 2 adults and 2 children for £40 (including drinks). can't wait to go back

Food very good as drinks in restaurant plus staff brilliant, but when we went into lounge for a drink after meal 4 chairs and table unoccupied but when we going to to sit down people at other table said they were keeping them for someone others no reserved sign complained to staff but unwilling to do anything about it so to avoid any situation we had to find chairs and put them to a small table for 4 so dissaponting on people who think they are entitled

Great selection of food, good prices, service quick and friendly. Portion sizes huge. I tend to go for the smaller portion size as more than enough. Bar prices amazing.

Wedding evening reception was perfect. Can’t thank everyone at Carrigans enough for making our wedding day and evening celebrations perfect for us. We loved working along with all the staff to bring our dreams to life. We both appreciated the guidance, help and support creating unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime for us. Buffet was delicious and thoroughly enjoyed by all, more than enough food for 2nd and 3rd helpings, Resident DJ Kerry was super with great range of music for us all. Would highly recommend.

The suite was suitable for a celebration, good food and Epic band was quite good. The bar was busy and buzzing.

Great food, great service, average prices. Love the blaggis starter, haggis and black pudding in some sort of sauce. Caledonian chicken with yer side of mash and veg. Tbh the chicken was quite tough and overcooked. Manbearpig got muscles to start and pizza and pasta combo for her main. She seemed to enjoy it. Very accommodating for disabled guests and the toilets are spotless too. £50 for 2 folk, starter and main and we were stuffed.
