Saw a gig in the upstairs space here, which is a well organised, but overall small room. There are bars upstairs, in the gig room, and downstairs in a space that's arranged like a more traditional bar. The staff were organised, and there was a good selection of non-alcoholic options. They were also reasonably priced. I was driving, so I have no idea what the situation was with the prices of alcoholic drinks, but there seemed to be a decent range available. The cloakroom is upstairs, and run by the upstairs bar staff - it costs ÂŁ1, which I thought was very reasonable. The upstairs performance space has a raised section, and both sections have a small amount of bench type seating around the edges. The security staff - who are efficient but not over-bearing - are OK with you standing on these benches when the gig starts. It might just be the gig I went too, but the sound levels were also spot on - I could hear everything perfectly (and I was right at the back), but it wasn't so loud that my ears were ringing afterwards. As ever, there could do with being more ladies toilets, but they worked, had paper, the sinks worked, and the water was warm, and one of the two hand dryers worked. So a vast improvement on a lot of places. Overall, very good experience, especially as I suspect that the gig I went to was probably the first such event for a lot of the younger people in attendance - and they managed that really well at the bar with wristbands.

What an amazing atmosphere, if you enjoy live music and a cozy fun place to hang out and have a drink, this is it. The food was good, but that's not the main reason you go here (the time I went I believe the only option was pizzas). There are some very talented musicians playing here, and the staff is top notch. If you have an evening free in Glasgow, head down here for a bit and have a great time.

Been attending gigs at KTWWH for the past 20yrs and tonight we had the weirdest experience. Was at the merch table upstairs during the gig and a member of the security staff lambasted us for talking too loud as it was ânot that type of concertâ. Not entirely sure what was meant by this and when challenged, the staff member advised that their âCCTV system had identified that our conversation volume was too highâ which is probably the most ridiculous thing iâve ever heard. If you intend to have a conversation (away from the stage area) with friends, order a drink or merchandise then I suggest you learn sign language to ensure you donât upset the staff. Absolute joke behaviour. Should rename the place King Tuts Wah Wah Library

Here for Isaac Gracie gig, venue is perhaps a little on the small side but it is intimate, and concerts do tend to be very much on the cheaper side. Not tonight but I have been here in the past and the event was ruined by folks talking in the bar. Booze at the bar is a tad on the pricey side. And again tonight to see Lo Moon, as Iâve said itâs intimate, so much so two of main act band members were standing next to me watching part of the support act.

I've been coming to Tut's since 1994, and have actually played it twice I'm happy to say. My most recent visit was to see my friends boys band (Quaint), and we had a pretty good time. Rhe mecca for most up and coming bands, Tut's still holds a level of mystique, but I'd imagine more for an artist than a punter. I thought the sound on the night wasn't at all great, unfortunately. And I actually motioned to the sound engineer to "turn him up" when the bands lead guitar solo wasn't heard. Ps we didn't have any food. Tickets were ÂŁ11 (Inc booking fee), with the cost of a beer roughly around the ÂŁ5 mark.

Venue was a nice little venue, bar staff were lovely.. what ruined the night for me was how rude, unprofessional and aggressive the âsecurityâ man was that was guarding the stairs to the band section last night, obviously he doesnât like his job so maybe just quit instead of being so rude to people who are there to have a good time and see bands. Every encounter with him when going back upstairs was aggressive when showing him our wristbands and then at the end of the night I tried to go back up for my jacket as it was in the cloakroom up there and he blocked me off saying no you canât go up itâs closed so too late (again very rudely) and after telling him Iâll need my jacket to walk home he then told me to give him my ticket and he would get the jacket and bring it back down, he then came down with someone elseâs jacket after waiting there for ages and told me to wait he will get mine in order of the tickets he had.. he then came back down again and told me my jacket was gone to go up and get it myself if it was there and finally let me up. The jacket was on the floor so fell off the hanger clearly and they told me that I clearly gave them an incorrect ticket which is impossible as I only got one! Their mistake but tried to turn it on me and again all this said to me was with rudeness and pure aggression. It turned me off wanting to go there again, first time going as I was dying to try it and possibly the last!

The Venue was brilliant and so was the gig. Shame about the drunk guy who pushed into where we where, when asked to leave, poured drinks over us, and hit me in the head with a can of red bull. I was sitting, with a hairline fracture and a crutch. The security staff jumped in promptly and he was removed quickly. Afterwards we where told he was acting weird and aggressive? So why was he allowed into the event. It ruined my experience and caused me to be fearful when leaving. But the staff, that dealt with the situation, where brilliant.

King Tut's. A timeless venue, devoted to UK music, up and coming artists, with diamonds and gems popping up regularly at all times. Most recently I was there seeing Ian Ball and Ben Ottewell from Gomez. It was a tremendous gig, and a highly enjoyable night from start to finish. From walking in, getting a fresh pint in, then having a quick go on the Metallica pinball machine, and a go on the retro Pac-Man table, to having a plinkety plonk on the piano (although, I think if you can't play it, don't. Lol) It's a venue suited for die hard fans, for smaller, more personal up close gigs. But can host one hell of a party. The staircase with artists name is a great touch also, really drilling home to you, just how many legends have been in this venue.

Adore this venue for gigs, staff are lovely and drinks/cloakroom are so reasonable. My only issue is that most other venues hand out water during concerts and in my experience King Tuts has only done this when someone in the crowd has almost passed out. In a small venue with 300 people it gets ridiculously hot so having water ready to go would make the whole crowd more comfortable I think. Aside from that this is definitely my favourite venue in Glasgow!
