I’ve been visiting the Junction Cafe since 2015. I’d booked a table for a light lunch with my wife (recommended to avoid any wait/disappointment). Super warm welcome from Joe and David. Food and coffee was excellent 👍 … A shout out to Ivan in the kitchen. A selection of takeaway cakes for afternoon coffee with friends, who all commented on how super yummy 😋 they were…👍

My friend came pre lockdown and loved and we visited today after a castle semple walk. The service is very chaotic. It was busy but not so busy that it should have been so chaos. We eventually got table but lots of waiting to order coffee. We had also picked bread and rolls to take away. Coffee came quick once we ordered and was ok.....pleasant enough but not such a good cup that we would rush back. Got busy with take away which seemed to be priorty when waiting to pay!

After long absence from ‘dining in’ finally got to return to this favourite haunt for a breakfast. How we missed everything about the Junction and how blooming great it was take a seat for a breakfast. Atmosphere superb; food superb! During all the worldwide problems the Junction did provide takeaways with panache from a little window and always superb!! But the atmosphere is also a part of its charm and to enjoy that you gotta go!!

The female proprietor of this cafe is so unpleasant and unwelcoming . I have been a frequent guest here over the decades and really missed going here during lockdown. Last week they reopened for sit down meals after a long time of only being able to sell carry out. They do have a restricted menu but non the worse for that. I won’t bore you with what we ate but it was super. Ivan can certainly do stuffed ciabatta and Jo runs the house splendidly. David’s humour was a very welcome return. Finally, the best coffee in the West of Scotland. Just beware cyclists. They love this place. They fill it up very quickly. Best to book at busy times as there are fewer tables because of social distancing.

Was out driving with work on the B786 and making my way back I decided I would stop in Lochwinnoch for a coffee and sandwich for lunch. While passing through the in morning I had noticed a small bakers, but by time I got back around 1pm it was closed for the day, so made my way along to the little cafe I had spotted at the junction. Fantastic medium sized cafe, with lots of good cakes and scones on offer, plenty of coffee and a pretty extensive menu. Really was a case of spoiled for choice for what to pick, but just went for a Latte and a cheese salad roll, which were both freshly prepared and both were really tasty, and main thing, really unbeatable price! Fantastic find of a place and will certainly be back again in future.

Hubby and I on way to visit friends in Paisley via Lochwinnoch -,stopped off at @CucinaMinucci for breakfast - before leaving went to counter to purchase 1 whole Stornoway Black Pudding and decide it would be nice to take 4 scones to our friends and 4 more to take home, total bill for the 8 scones, 1 not very nice breakfast, 1 panini, 2 coffees and said black pudding bill for above was £46.95 bit steep but that's not what bothered me - I had to stand there humiliated and flabbergasted (with a queue behind me) and listen to him (the owner) telling me that next time I want to buy 8 scones I should give him a couple of days notice as he might run short for his customers - Well Mr Cucina Minucci I was a regular customer from March 13 when I lived nearby until 2016 and since then I have been coming to your cafe from Kilmarnock where I now live. Oh, am I mistaken is there a specific identity badge I should wear to identify if I am a customer or not ??? I thought I was a customer after all did I not come into your shop and buy something ... No Matter really I can tell you quite frankly that I AM NO LONGER A CUSTOMER and I am very sorry for the fact that some of your REAL CUSTOMERS probably overheard your rudeness. To be frank, I should have paid for the breakfast only and told him to .......keep his scones and black pudding, but I'm a much nicer person than that. 😱

I have been going here for many, many years and through at least four sets of owners. All have been absolutely super and have taken account of the needs of local customers linked to the needs of visitors. All of the hosts, previous and present, have got the equation right. If you want an example of how to run a small cafe/restaurant then this is the place to seek advice. The most amazing part of this is the ability of the present owners to listen to, and respond positively to, complaints or critical comments. Sad thing is that they are not open on Sundays. The reason was explained to me and the explanation, based on the economics of limited time opening, made sense.I still miss the cooked Sunday breakfast without the hassle of washing up. Also, they did cooked breakfast much better than could I - and still do if Sunday breakfast could be transferred to Saturday.Maybe if lots more of us were to go there for breakfast/brunch/afternoon tea on a Sunday then it might be economically viable them to start opening on a Sunday again. Are you hearing this, cyclists?

Finally seated the three of us ordered food and drinks. 3 drinks and 3 sets of cutlery arrived 20 mins later 2 meals were delivered. After a reasonable pause I went and asked about the non arrival of my meal. It had been overlooked and another 20 minute wait ensued. The duo of smoked fish was fine but the portion of starter proportion only. The soup was unpleasant and the ciabatta unremarkable. Over £30.00. We would not return

After living in the village for a couple of years and getting many a scone or cake to take away, I finally made it in for a sit down lunch. And I wasn't disappointed.I had some students with me for a course I was running. So it's always a bit tense taking them places as you feel any issues will reflect on you. It was very busy, and we had to wait on a table. But that's just a reflection of it's popularity (no mean feat in a village) and the unavoidable lack of space. I was a little panicky due to the course and time and not having anything else in for the one vegan student, and felt self conscious about blocking up the tight space. But a table soon freed up.Service was good, bearing in mind how busy it was, and the food was fab. I had french toast and it was delicious. One student was vegan and was delighted to be able to get a cake to take back. And we had another round of cakes the next day (though we didn't have time to visit). The cakes are of course, as I already knew, second to none.I saw they do afogato, so I'll need to head back for that soon!

I have been coming to the junction for many years now and I have to say its always been fine. Had no issues, however after yesterday I will never be back. I have never encountered this manager before but I could have sicked up better managerial skills than him. Went in to the junction yesterday at around 12:40 and ordered 2 rolls and sausage, 1 roll and bacon and 2 boxes of pancakes with some cakes. Payed and it came too £22.15. Was told to take a seat. This was standard so was happy to wait. 15 minutes went by and no sign of my food. The male manager then came and said to me "They're going to be another 10-15 minutes , if you have anything to do go and do it" thought that was a bit rude with his tone as the shop was getting crowded with people waiting on their orders so I just went and sat in the car. Returned 15 minutes later (now been waiting 30 minutes) and MY FOOD HADN'T EVEN BEEN STARTED!!!! Asked the LOVELY young waitress, believe her name was Mareith if she could check on my food and could see the chef blatantly shout at her. I also witnessed the manager being rude to her on a number of occasions. Finally after 45 MINUTES the manager came to me and said " I'll get that boxed up for you" to which I just looked at him in disbelief at a 45 minute wait. He then had the AUDACITY to say " If you're not happy I'll refund you". So id have waited 45 minutes and had NO FOOD. So waited it out. His tone was beyond cheeky and rude.THEN THE ICING ON THE CAKE. Three young women came into the cafe about the managers age who he was clearly interested in . Everyone else had been waiting a long time. The manager stopped what he was doing and ran backwards and forwards getting them water and then adding ice and pandering to their every need. FINALLY I got my food after 45-50 minutes wait. If the manager had even offered some money off the food id have been happy but no. He was rude and arrogant and I have seen he has received many bad reviews on here!. The rolls I ordered fell apart as I bit into them they were that crunchy. Pancakes were average and just not up to standard. LONG STORY SHORT- rude manager, clearly more interested in flirting than using his non existent managerial skills to appease customers. Rude to the waitress who was an asset in yesterdays situation. Rude to me. He said far more but I am running out of space to write! Id advise go on a day he isn't there!! I WOULD LOVE TO SPEAK TO THE OWNERS ABOUT THIS!

This was my third visit to this wonderful little place in a month. I have been meaning to do a write up since Dec 1st but been too busy with Xmas madness so catching up now. And oh boy do they deserve it.I cannot enthuse enough about this rare find.We go to the RSPB centre just down the road, and on the 1st we were desperate for a full breakfast. We asked about and even though this is an Italian Coffee shop and deli we were told it did fantastic breakfasts. So 9 on the dot we went in and were received very warmly and shown to a table. We had the best breakfast in a very long time. It was just divine. Very simple, to memory it was 2 poached eggs, toast and bacon with mushrooms. How can something so simple be so good ? Well it was.The poached eggs were like fluffly clouds, the wholemeal toast perfect, big chunky pieces cut from a homemade loaf. Loads of mushrooms and perfect crisp bacon. The coffee was sublime.Did we stop there, no, we decided to just be 2 greedy people and went on to more coffee and a mince pie each. Now when I say mince pie..........these nearly made me cry. They were just like my mums which we haven't had for 15 years. They were huge round bumpy flaky homemade jobbies full of mincemeat. The best in the world since my mums. That was it we were hooked. We bought 2 to take home and 2 homemade very large fruit scones. We love this place. The manager is lovely, tall slim with a moustache and so friendly. We cannot go to the RSPB now without calling in here for either breakfast, coffee or cake or scones.Goodbye waistlines !!Cucina Minucci we love you x

Well-presented and quickly served lunch kept us going through our afternoon in Lochwinnoch. Friendly and pleasant staff, and a nice, quiet and clean place to eat in. Highly recommend.

Used to be owned by friends of mine who then went overseas to start another restaurant. So decided to try it one Sunday morning. Big Mistake!!Service terrible...for a couple of bacon rolls and tea/café we had to wait 40 mins! When the food eventually arrived it was in an English style muffin and was extremely poor and well overpriced. May look inviting but give it a miss!!
