Vewry enjoyable liver & onions with home cooked, home made chips £7.50p. Everything was delicious & will vist again no doubt at all. It's basic pub style menu but you couldn't be disappointed. Good service, clean & drinks a plenty.

Visited with my daughter breakfast was very nice however the sausage was cheap. Friendly staff. And a decent selection of food.

Noticed there was a cafe round the side so decided to try it this morning with my daughter after Slimming World so although there is an extensive breakfast menu we were really pleased to see there was a lighter option breakfast which was 2 eggs, 2 bacon medallions, grilled tomato and mushrooms plus a huge portion of baked beans and a slice of whole grain bread together with a tea, coffee or a juice for £4.75. It was delicious and didn't take too long even though it was cooked from scratch. Lovely staff and a very pleasant start to the day. Also had the most delicious and humongous Festive Afternoon Tea here just before Xmas, will definitely be back next for the more usual afternoon tea👍

Food was really, really tasty and staff so friendly and helpful with our questions about the area. They went out of their way to find bus routes and times for us. First time I've eaten corned beef pie- amazing!

Looking for somewhere in Aberdare to have Sunday breakfast after a long run. I messaged them in the week to ask. Very quick reply was Yes. 10am to 12. Must say the 3 of us had a lovely breakfast. Pint of course. Cheers. Mark

Well, what can one say, if you are in Aberdare and looking for the best breakfast this side of Nagasaki, then stop looking? What a wonderful little place that does everything it can to accommodate you and your family. Have a two-year-old that makes the floor beneath then look like a Picasso, No problem, they help with that as well lol. But the food wow, if you can get a perfectly cooked breakfast then I suppose this is it. O and lots of it as well, quality was amazing, it really is a must-try.. Very Happy x

1st Sunday lunch up there since lock down. Fantastic set up, fantastic food. That pretty much sums it up.

went with a friend for tea and toast..selection of white or brown bread, jam etc. They also provide cooked breakfasts, which although we didn't have, did look appetising

Good food and a friendly atmosphere

Called in here with a friend for tea and toast only....and enjoyed. This is not a salubrious place but what some may think it lacks in surroundings it makes up for in other ways. The staff are helpful and obliging. We had a couple of pots of tea, with additional pots of hot water; the toast ( choice of brown bread and white) with butter and jam was served hot and nothing was too much trouble. We were not pressurised to go when we had finished and my friend and I continued to chat and talk long after we had finished our tea/toast. It was exceptionally good value for money...so if this is anything to go by the dinners too would be the same I would imagine

Omg had an amazing beef dinner today it was a proper home cooked roast dinner.. also jam rolypoly and custard for dessert I must say it was delicious and definitely going bk again..x

Wonderful freshly cooked food at incredible prices. Polite and helpful staff too. Would strongly recommend this place to anyone for breakfast and lunch.

If you are feeling hungry and want a huge no nonsense Sunday lunch then get yourself to the "Llwyn" For £8.95 you get Chicken, beef or pork (lamb I think is £1.00 extra) new or mash potatoes, roasters, roast parsnip, peas, carrots, green beans.Yorkshire pud, stuffing ball, delicious gravy, PLUS you get dessert which varies week to week. Honestly you cannot go wrong. Also on offer is a takeaway or delivery service. The cafe us also open throughout the week except Monday, delicious full English breakfast for £5.95. One of the best breakfasts in the valleys, we run on Saturdays with a breakfast in mind at the end, and this is the best yet. Cooked 100% fresh, and outstanding value, staff are warm and welcoming always, can't recommend high enough

Used to drink here regularly as it offered a great pint and good atmosphere, don't drink so much anymore and mainly call here now for a breakfast which I again I'd recommend.

Went to watch the rugby here..great atmosphere ..friendly and fast service. ..realy enjoyed being there. Half time they put on food as well.

Summary: Very slow service, food hot and plentiful. Arriving around 1:20pm, we checked that food was being served and ordered our meals shortly afterwards. Unfortunately, the food did not arrive till just after 230.We had not been told it would take and hour and the pub had been quiet for the 30 minutes preceding. On asking, w e were told the delay had been because an unexpected 'tea party' had come in - but this was only 3 adults and a young child, and they had received their food by about 1:45 and had finished long before ours appeared. We both had steak and ale pie, peas and chips. It was hot and a large helping, I won't be eating an evening meal today! The pie was full of meat.. I found the food far too salty, however, and I've been thirsty for hours since. I think this was due to the gravy which i had rather foolishly agreed to be poured over the meal. With less salt, it would have been a very good pub meal.

Nice place to enjoy a relaxing pint or 2......or have a bit to eat at cafe open Tues to Sun... Being the little ones along as the beer 🍻 garden is fab.....

Went as a family of 6. Didn't pre book as very last minute but they made room for us even though it was late in the day. Dinner was beautiful. Homemade and came out in good time and very hot. Even the kids loved it. Desert included is a nice touch. It gave us all a good excuse to enjoy the home made cake or ice cream. We will definitely be back. Very good price and good value for money. And the staff were very friendly and great with the kids...Even putting children's programmes on the tv for them. 😁

The service was a bit slow and could do with serving meals at a better time of the day. Not much of a choice. Not too much choice regarding beer but ok if you want lager or beer at good prices then this is the place

My Son arrived with an Afternoon Tea Take out from the Llwyncelyn cafe as a treat for myself. The food was presented in a large box which looked and was delicious. The box was filled with a really good selection of fresh sandwiches served with coleslaw and crisps, and a good selection of cakes, served with clotted cream and jam for the scone. It was a lovely surprise and I learned later it was only £9.95! The Llwyncelyn cafe also serve breakfast, brunch and dinner and now serve Christmas Tea's. I look forward to tasting more from the Llwyncelyn cafe.
