Nice place to sit and eat, waitress was lovely, coffee delicious and hot. Chicken Waffle very tasty unfortunately avocado toasties pretty poor.

Popped in over the weekend with my sister and we both ordered a bubble waffle to go, never tried one before. WOW it was the best thing I have ever tried, it was called the King of Nuts! It was so so delicious, so much Nutella and chocolate! My sister had a fruity one called the Strawberry Dream which also looked Devine. This place is so beautiful from outside and inside the decor is gorgeous. Staff are all lovely, was really busy so was happy to get a takeaway but for sure would love to come again and dine and try more of the menu. Thanks Lottie’s

Very disappointed . A party of 9 , went with friends for her birthday we had to pre order our food and drinks. We waited 30 minutes for our drinks which came out at different times and we waited 1 hour and 10 minutes for our food we had pre ordered! Afternoon tea isn’t worth the money. Wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend.

First time trying Lotties this week and I don’t why I never tried it before, everything I had was absolutely amazing in both taste and presentation! The churros taste like heaven in your mouth especially with the white chocolate dip, Unicorn magic bubble waffle my sister had also taste so sweet and tasty! The design of this cafe is so thought well and beautifully designed, staff are all lovely and can’t wait to come to try more on the menu.

I love this cafe, the best menu ever, has something to offer for everyone from brunch, sweet tooth even healthy options, also really good coffee one of the best in the town. Staff are all lovely so friendly and attentive! Beautiful decor and designs so cute amazing for instagram photos!!

Had a lovely brunch with my boyfriend at Lotties this weekend, it was so tasty, I had the Veggie toastie with halloumi cheese it was unreal so so good, with the pink hot chocolate drink that’s tastes not only amazing but so beautiful. My boyfriend ordered the churros with Nutella and a fresh salmon and cream cheese bagel and he is so particular with his food but he loved it. The girls working are so lovely and the owner Lottie was so friendly and welcoming to us. Thank you for are amazing experience in your beautiful pink cafe, can’t wait to come again.

Just popped in for a takeout. Slow and busy. The place is small and packed. We got half a Fierro Roche on top of our waffle which we waited for ages to get. She told us how long it would be after we paid which wasn’t helpful. Everyone seemed to have got the wrong orders while we were waiting. And other negative comments were made from customers leaving. Overpriced. Not once did I see them wash their hands after dealing with money or itching their noses. There were 4 members of staff working and only 1 person actually doing something.

I booked for 4 of us to have afternoon tea on Mother’s Day. We all enjoyed ourselves. I love the twist on afternoon tea, the food was delicious! The staff were so friendly and helpful. The menu for brunch and sweet treats looks amazing so I can’t wait to go back.

Nice place, in shabby chic style. Nice atmosphere. The products and drinks on the menus are spectacular and look delicious. Too bad all that glitters is not gold. Unfriendly staff and rude service. not to mention the pink hot chocolate... it was nothing more than hot milk with a little coloring. Obviously we left the cups full and half full. Prices are disproportionate to what is actually offered to us. It doesn't end there... the place doesn't have a bathroom, so washing your hands before touching food is impossible unless you go outside and go to the public bathrooms. I don't recommend it and we will never go back. Avoid!

Every monts we are visit this restaurant and never disappointed. The owners create a great atmosphere and the best waffles with ice cream. Ignore negative comments . you need just visit them:))))) highly recommend

The best place for food in Bury St Edmunds, everything served in this cafe is fresh and so tasty. The waffles really taste like you are in heaven not to sweet, just perfect and the homemade gelato is so delicious my favourite was the salted caramel. The service is very good, and nothing is too much trouble to change topping on waffles which my niece was doing. The best thing is how beautiful the setting is, eating beautifully presented food in a beautiful setting everything is ready for a photo.

Never ever try their afternoon tea here. Not worth it and service sucks!! Never again. What a disappointment

I came from the US, visiting Bury St Edmunds 30 years after having lived there for a few years as a child. My friend and I happened upon Lottie's and it was love at first glance! But the love didn't stop at the amazing ambience! Lottie's chestnut praline latte was INCREDIBLE!! I would fly back from the US simply to have this drink again! It was so good I also got one to go before leaving. I risked getting a ticket for parking too long just so I could have one for the road! And while I was lucky and didn't get a ticket, it would have been worth every sip! Lottie was so kind and very welcoming. The whole experience was 5 stars! If you are able, you should absolutely pop in and experience this lovely spot!

My new favourite place in Suffolk! I stopped by originally for a takeaway coffee on my way up to the town however when I saw the hot drinks menu, the S'mores hot chocolate caught my eye so I ordered one and it was absolutely amazing!! The best hot chocolate I have ever had. Can’t wait to return to sit inside this gorgeous place and try more from the menu as everything looks amazing.

Rude service came up to us and made a rude and snotty remark. The drinks have about 2 sips in them before they’re gone. If you do get the halloumi fries I’d advise no more salt intake for the rest of the day.

the best Desserts i have ever tried for a very long time! the waffles are hot and fresh and you can have any toppings on either a bubble or Belgium waffle. everything is delicious in this place my favourite waffle is the Strawberry Dreamboat belgium waffle with added Nutella.

What a fabulous trip to Lottieś me and my friends made! The Italian gelato is all homemade and absolutely delicious I would Recommend if you go you have to try it. The place it’s self is just stunning, amazing for photo’s especially for Instagram! Staff are lovely all so kind and professional. Pink hot chocolate was my personal favourite I have never seen anything like it in my life, absolutely amazing.

The milkshakes were amazing, my bagel was the best I've had, the waffles were light and fluffy according to the rest of the family. The service was personal and polite, price wasn't overpriced, decor charming and an airy feel to the place. Cannot believe we hadn't been before, but being local will most definitely go again.

I'm often in Lottie's because it's just so good. She makes her own gelato and it compares favourably with what I get visiting Italy. The waffles are superb and the coffee really good. I just keep coming back.

Me and my two daughters had a lovely afternoon tea at Lottie’s on the weekend, We absolutely loved it! It was the most beautiful afternoon tea we have every had, Came out so beautifully on a pink stand with bagels, churros, gelato, macaroons and we all got to choose any drink which was included in the afternoon tea. Very reasonable price and beautiful layout. I didn’t know what to expect but I was so impressed and would love to go back to try the waffles as I did see a few other tables with them and they look delicious! Was very busy but it was on a Saturday so I suspected to be but we got the afternoon tea at a good time and very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to visit again.

I made a return visit to Lottie's last Saturday. I was greeted with a warm welcome by none other than Lottie herself. There was a few people in there, and judging by the interaction between them and the staff it has to be all repeat business, so to me that speaks volumes about Lottie's. I had a coffee and the halloumi fries, everything was excellent..If there is such a thing as The Queen of Desserts, then in my humble opinion it has to be Lottie.

Me and friends booked Lottie’s as a private hire for a baby shower and omg it was amazing. Thank you so much to the girls that work there. They were such an amazing help and the food was just amazing. Definitely somewhere I will recommend to all my friends in that direction.

I booked an afternoon tea for my wife and I as I had heard good things, initially we were seated in the window which was nice but then a larger group came in who had not booked and we were moved to a small table near the kitchen and front door, this meant it was cold as the door kept opening and anybody who came in to get a takeaway were just stood next to us staring at us trying to have a relaxing afternoon tea. The afternoon tea itself was not good value, you get very little for the £17.50 per person price, neither of us are big eaters but left Lotties pretty hungry still. The service was very solemn which is surprising from such a bright place selling fun waffles and ice creams, certainly won't be visiting again.

Lottie’s never disappoints. My wife and I make it a habit to stop into Lottie’s every chance we get when we are in town. Most times, Lottie’s is the reason we go into town for breakfast, coffee, or a gelato treat. The staff is always friendly, accommodating, and a joy to talk to. We have had every cocktail on the menu, at least 7 flavors of the gelato, multiple waffles, and their breakfast sandwiches as well. Charlotte, Sophie, and staff always greet us with a smile and welcome us in again time after time. They know that their pistachio gelato is my favorite! See you all next week! Highly recommended!

Really rather disappointed after my recent visit. Ordered afternoon tea that had be pre booked. This consisted of a bagel, two churros, a small.scoop of ice cream and water. Everything was covered in petals which were highly perfumed and did not compliment the foods they covered. We were rushed in and out and when we went yo pay we were charged £17.50 EACH! Judging by the prices on the menu that equated to 2 churros and a small scoop of ice cream costing £10.50! Absolute daylight robbery. How this can be justified i cannot comprehend. Perhaps that covers the cost of the copious and unnecessary flower petals!

Went With my husband today to try there waffles was told when went to door only serving drinks what did I want. I said two waffle, she said oh wait a minute she got back log at minute as she stands talking g at door t helping there was one poor girl trying to do waffle order. Then she said o I do it she out waffle mixer in. But then walked of. There is no organisation don't seem bothered when there is que. they do t think to put another waffle in machine while they prepare the other with about one strawberry sliced and one dollop of ice cream plus and very small streak of cream. Not worth 6.50 my husband a banana one which had same about quarter of banana if that with a dollop of ice cream in middle. Absolute rubbish if I had not of paid up front I would have said u better keep then. Place is done nice shame they didn't put more effort in to food. Service. Plus one dollop of ice cream and the smallest portion of fruit one straw on a waffle looked ridiculous go to king dessert for same price your waffle has actual got some fruit on

Had the best Sunday breakfast at Lottie’s this morning. It was my first time here and I heard amazing things about the restaurant. Probably the best waffles we’ve ever had and the girls working there were so lovely. Could not recommend enough and will definitely be back very soon! ✨.

Have wanted to try this place for a long time. The eat out to help out scheme finally pushed me to kick the diet for the day! I came here with my sister and the service was horrendous. Arrived at 4.10pm and First words to us were ‘Hope your leaving by 5pm’. So immediately felt very welcome!!!! Ordered our food and after the drinks and one waffle came I was then told I couldn’t have the waffle I wanted as run out. That was fine and I ordered another option. We then heard the two staff members bickering about the second order. It took my sister to ask THEM what the problem was with the order. After a big kerfuffle I didn’t get a waffle as lots of things were then out of stock and it was all becoming too much trouble.This didn’t bother me too much but the service was unprofessional and unwelcoming. A very snotty attitude and not customer focussed. You can decorate a restaurant as lovely as you like for the Instagram generation but it won’t mask the ugly cracks beneath! I would be very unlikely to spend my money here again.

I was looking for a nice ice-cream on a sunny day. I decided the £3 price for one scoop would be worth it if it was anywhere near as authentic as other artisanal gelato I have enjoyed. For this cost you usually get a huge portion of gorgeous Italian gelato. Not so. The ice cream had been badly kept evidenced by so much ice in it I wondered if I had purchased a granita. The so-called salt caramel was just sweet- not the lovely savoury n sweet balance expected. And the portion was a small amount in a cardboard cup. To be avoided

Such a cute place for afternoon tea and a snack! To drink I had a chai latte with oat milk and it was delicious. The churros with salted caramel sauce is amazing and the strawberry gelato with white chocolate was equally as amazing. Can’t wait to come back again!

Me and my partner go here together a lot - it's become "our place" and is one of the few places we go for food within Bury St Edmunds.The staff are always lovely and the food is amazing! We like to call it a "cheaper, healthier, better Kaspas".The food is prepared to order which means it's hot and fresh every time.

£20+ for 2 milkshakes, churros & 1 scoop of ice cream. I have made better iced coffee myself at home.Ice cream was given to us immediately ... 10 minutes later when that was all gone we got given our drinks ... 15 minutes later when they were gone we got our churros. Our lovely plan to have lunch in the abbey gardens ended up being on the side of the road waiting.

We had the takeaway afternoon tea to celebrate my birthday during lockdown. Great value for money and an easy contactless collection. It was amazing, it came nicely packaged and everything looked lovely set up at home, the food all tasted so fresh and delicious and made the day extra special. It was an afternoon tea with a difference with the delicious gelato and churros as well as pink hot chocolate. We can’t wait to visit again when you are open again! Thank you.

Please please no one have a baby shower here, my first baby and first celebration with my friends & family was truly ruined, the Owner was rude to every last guest, rolling her eyes,huffing & puffing, left without saying goodbye, never even said hello for that matter or congratulations, never once offered anyone a drink, so much so one guest 20 minutes in had to pay for a bottle, another guest even asked for extra hot water (which is free!!) And she couldnt even top up one teapot! She doesnt know what Prosecco is and served us Moscato so I'm waiting for an agreed refund on the missold "Prosecco Package". To top this off I'm 38 weeks pregnant and she aggressively got in my face yesterday afternoon in town and personally attacked me as she couldnt take my comments on board, absolutely disgusting behaviour, my friend and I was horrified!!

Took our grandchildren 8 and 4 for 8 year old’s birthday treat. A pink paradise! Perfect for the birthday girl and her little brother didn’t mind either. A bonus for me as the do gluten free waffles - cooked in a separate waffle maker - perfect, tasted like a real waffle (my last real waffle was over 20 years ago). Great service from the staff and I was also attended by the owner/manager who took responsibility for my order. Another bonus (for my son) was the doggy bag we took him - there wasn’t a smaller portion for the little one’s and the portions are more than generous

We visited as an after hours private celebration and was disappointed from the outset. Staff didn’t appear to want us there and, considering the price we paid, I expected so much more.Service (without a smile) was very slow with the birthday girl being the last to be served. Milkshake was served in a plastic cup and only one cup of tea included in the £18.95 price!The waffles were nice but the afternoon tea was a disgrace! Not even a whole bagel each and stale. All items were shop bought, obviously not homemade and again stale. Whilst visiting the staff toilet (no customer toilets available), the afternoon teas were all prepared, uncovered and on view for all to see on the other side of the toilet wall. I suspect they had been made up in advance and left to dry out! I would definitely discourage anyone thinking of booking a private party as the £18.95 price for what you receive is extortionate! On the plus side the decor was beautiful and could be a lovely experience with a change of staff/attitudes and if you are in no hurry.Everyone in our party of 17 was disappointed and I certainly won’t be paying a return visit.

My daughter and I had the most amazing afternoon tea here this week. The food was so nice and we loved that we got to choose what filling or flavour we would like. This little gem of a place is so cosy and the staff are so attentive and welcoming. I would highly recommend.

The place it’s self is lovely. The decor is stunning and the food is really good.... so I’m told. Unfortunately for us the poor service left us with a sour taste. We were seated instantly, order placed. 2x bubble waffles 1x bagelFirst waffle comes out and my mum waits until we all have our food...My bagel arrivesMy son eats my bagel because he’s starving and he’s waited so long for his waffle, mums eating her waffle as the ice cream has melted and waffles has gone cold.I’ve gone hungrySons waffle turns up after 20 minutes!! Not one member of staff came to talk to us...Apparently sons waffle had burnt and needed to be remade ‘human error’ These things happen and it would have been fine if one of the 3 members of staff had had the decency to actually communicate with us. The price of his waffle wasn’t charged as a goodwill gesture which helped slightly.

Never in my life would I think something as simple as a waffle could blow me away but Lotties did. Gordan Ramsey can learn a thing or two from the two ladies that work there because they know how to make pure esctacy when it comes to waffles.

Seated straight away on arrival, served instantly, coffees came out perfect, food arrived in good time and tasted so nice! The decor is also to die for! All round 10/10 for this place! Will be back soon, thank you! Xx

Me and my friend came here today and it’s by far the best afternoon tea we’ve had! The pink hot chocolate is a must have. The decor is amazing! Can’t wait to come back!
