As always tasty Sunday dinner and also normal menu week days thursday Friday Saturday..price is really good ..went to con club on mother's day food was cold and price was expensive for a carvery..I will stick to Midland..good food good prices

Food was great, but it's a little dreary, you wouldn't get points for taking a date here. No complaints, just opinion that the place needs cheering up a bit. Sounds like they have a regular crowd, as the staff seemed to know most of the customers, which is a sign of good service.

Altough this place is my local I wasn’t sure if they were doing breakfast , because of recent family illness , 5.50 midland breakfast is a steal 2 bacon ( thick) 1 sausage , beans , grilled tomato, mushroom’s and egg with black pudding , it was cooked to perfection toast and coffee or tea ,included in the price , only Friday and Saturday mornings for breakfast but if you are in the area be sure to pop in , Asda and local Wetherspoon are more expensive and for less , can’t compliment this enough , service excellent as well, thoroughly enjoyable experience had by us both .

Food is very good and reasonably priced, but I was highly disappointed to pay 50p per slice of bread n butter. Staff are friendly too.

phoned at random last minute for 7 sunday lunches. roast beef and turkey they were delivered just a little late by a pleasnt delivery person . the food was plentiful and good value. will use again

Was booked into a pub in Morriston for Sunday lunch but when we arrived we were told they had run out of food,so the bar maid said to try the midland hotel.i phoned to see if they could fit us in as it was pushing onto 2.30pm which sometimes is a bit late for lunch.we got there and ordered our drinks and we had starters and a main.the waitress was very helpful in explaining the full menu and it was an nice choice too.didnt have to wait long and out came the food.i had the pate with toast and it was lovely then the dinners came out.3 beef but I had Turkey.loads of fresh vegetables came out cooked perfectly,with the offer of more if we wanted.we did ask if they did food in the week as if the Sunday lunch was anything to go by but it was only on a Sunday.one of the best Sunday dinners I’ve had in a long time.going to book again.will recommend this place to everyone.

Really lovely home cooked food,staff really helpful and friendly.was let down after booking into another Morriston pub but was glad to find this little gem.will definitely be going back there for Sunday lunch as it was just perfect.

Our American visitors wanted to play Darts in a traditional pub, there was also a quiz night on as well. As always Theresa was a wonderful hostess and we all thoroughly enjoyed the night and had some great memories to take home.

Food excellent and good value on our Saturday evening visit. A little old fashioned but don't let that put you off.

Sitting in the old fashioned proper local pub, you wouldn't expect the food to be so delicious, but the Midland was recommended to us, and we weren't disappointed. Real chips! Far better food than any of the pub chains, and the home made desserts were scrumptious! If it's great food that impresses you and not fancy decor and furnishings, I'd recommend you give this place a try. We also tried the Sunday lunch, which again was scrumptious! Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Haven't been for a while, but will return there soon.

Sunday lunch here is fab. Great food, great price. They also do a takeaway lunch, just bring a plate, and take your lunch home. Absolutely fab.

Just left from the Midlands after a delicious meal with my sister and grandparents. On arrival, the outside and inside of the building is quite cold and uninviting. The staff however, were the total opposite. Our waitress/barmaid was fantastic. The value for money was incredible, with huge portions and delicious food. Our meals were well presented, hot and fresh. I couldn't recommend it more! I will definitely be revisiting. Thank you for a lovely meal.

A large number of us had a birthday meal here, food was hot and fresh, the value end rather than the premium end of the spectrum but very nice all the same. Chips were lovely though. Very reasonably priced. I had a feeling it was more of a local pub where everyone knew everyone else, rather than a restaurant.

I visited here with a friend on 01/10/2015. The outside of the building is not very inviting but we had a warm welcome and the food we ordered was very good and there was a free salad bar. The chips were superb. The drinks we had were reasonably priced. We will definitely visit again.

Went to the midland pub with 3 others and was very disappointed. The other 3had jacket potato sand were very satisfied with it but I had rib eye steak. I couldn't cut it or chew it. They brought me another one and that was marginly better but still not good. I think it was the cut of the steak. They didn't charge me for my meal which I really did appreciate because I went from there hungry. Won't be rushing back in a hurry. Prices are very good though.

A very nice meal that was well presented and served at the correct temperature. I had a rather large portion and could not finish all that was given to me. The service was quick and the staff very pleasant and attentive without being intrusive.

If you're looking for a place with posh decor or somewhere to take a date then keep walking - this place is very basic in its presentation but it's not about that - it's a simple, friendly pub with a family feel and somewhere to stop by for a couple of beers, watch Sky Sports, play pool and eat some pork scratchings. I didn't eat there but the portion sizes looked good on people's plates. Seems like it would be a nice local.

This is a small local free house on the main road opposite Lidles supermarket Morriston Swansea.Has a recently opened restaurant situated of the main bar serving good basic good portion reasonably priced food. Has a pool table in the bar, sky and BT sport TV and a very good outside drinking area

I've been to the midland a few times in the past and its always been excellent, fresh food and one of the rare places that do real chips, so I decided to book for valentines menu as it looked inviting, I had the rib eye and my other half had the belly pork, followed by the most amazing white chocolate torte I have ever tasted, they went to extra lengths to ensure we had a good nite, presented me with a red rose as we sat down, bubbly as our food arrived and lemon sobet before our dessert, I must say we will defiantly be booking for next year!!! Amazing!!

Fantastic food can't wait to go back.Real home cooked food and real chips.Good warm welcome from all staff made us feel like part of the family,even made my kids feel welcome. X

Went for food with my girlfriend and it was beautiful a bit to much in fact which is never a bad thing, I had steak which was beautifully cooked with the chips fresh and crispy, its a nice little place with a decent atmosphere i will definitely be going back there in future!! Well done Midland Hotel!!

Stepped in for a beer and ended up staying till closing time, chatting with friendly staff and local customers. The beer and spirits were good, the company was great and the food also looked and smelled good (and I've been told it tastes excellent too), at very keen prices.

Just had a takeaway Sunday Lunch for £5.00. What a fabulous meal. Huge portions and very very tasty !Home cooked takeaway with lashings of gravy!

This was our second visit to the Midlands but our first Sunday lunch. The dinner was lovely and hot, the veg was plentiful and there was a good selection. The meat though beef for me lamb for hubby was over cooked and rather dry (it looked as if it had been sliced then kept warm in the oven) but still it was very tender and tasty. Just not up to 5 stars yet. But I'll certainly go again.

We were on our way to The Kings of Leon gig and had booked a table in the Midland because we thought The Red Lion would be too busy and a friend had recommended the food in this pub.We went in and the service was pleasant and efficient .But when my mixed grill arrived I told the waiter I couldn't eat the chips as they were burnt black. He carried on placing the plate in front of me saying it's ok it's only the potatoes !!He went back into the kitchen leaving me and hubby rather perplexed, his chips with his fish were the same.5 mins later the same waiter cane back and asked if our meals were alright - I replied that the chips were still burnt - yes he said and walked off. I must say everything else in our meals was perfect.At the end of our meals the waiter came to collect our plates asking politely if we had enjoyed our meals - I replied yes accept the chips which were still on both our plates! Ok he said and walked off.It was at this point a lady sitting near us piped up with the chips are always like that so I always have a jacket potato.

If you are looking for a plastic Sunday Luch look no further than the Red Lion just up the road. If however you want fresh veg, carved meat from a joint , lashings of gravy and REAL mushy peas give this place a try. I would book as it was very busy, the staff really do look after you. All this for £5 is unbelievable. A local pub making a real effort, well done Midaland.

The Midland truly is a hidden gem. The Staff there really do make you feel as at home as it is possible to be outside of your own house. The Wine Menu is of good quality, the food, for want of better words, is top notch and as for the prices - well, I don't know how they can do it so cheaply. I'm no Condé Nast but this place comes with my highest regards.

We visited this pub last Sunday now when you first pull up to this place you don't see a place that looks like this picture in fact without being rude it looks like the owners went bust and that the place is empty, well the phrase never judge a book by its cover is a total understatement when it comes to the Midland. This place is the friendliest most relaxed pub I have been in. The staff are personable and very helpful. The red wine was lovely. The toilets were immaculate. Now the good bit....... The food well the chef they have at the Midland would give most of the top London Chefs a run for their money the food was amazing. We have eaten in some very very fancy posh and expensive places where the standard of food does not even come close to the food at the Midland. Everything was homemade fresh well cooked and delicious. My other half and his son had the Lamb Shank which I was told was lovely. We were a big party and some of us had the Sunday Lunch which came with lots of fresh veg and the meat was really good. I had the Mountain Chicken which was a take on New York Chicken it came with homemade chips salad peas onion rings and mushrooms way too much for 1 but I didn't want it to end (it did get the better of me in the end though and I had to leave room for fudge cake!!!!) My advice is that if you happen to stumble upon this place go in sit down and order some food if you drive past and don't stop you will never know how good it is inside. Oh I almost forgot the price well there was six of us two courses each and it came to £52 its a no brainer really enjoy.

My title says it all. Their is a fabulous homely and welcoming atmosphere when you enter the Midland.Fantastic value for money compared to the humongous potion sizes. Their battered chicken burger is a meal on its on.Thressa and the staff really go that extra mile to make your visit that extra special.
